"Suggested tip" on total? (pet peeve)

Flabby shrimp. Can't abide flabby farmed shrimp. Yum woon Sen suffered because of this. Som tum was ok Chive dumplings were gummy. I wanted to like this place and make it a regular place because outdoor patio looks so nice. Looks like they have an interesting list of cocktails. But my waitresses spoke very poor English and it was hard to communicate. And the food was sub standard in important ways.. I just think there are better places to go for my money and I think Thai Noy beats this place hands down

Summer Roll (Shrimp)...SO said they were just ok.

Craving Pad Thai and haven't found a good spot yet. The food was average. Pad Thai was dryer than what we like. Spring and Summer Rolls were ok. Ordered via UE, therefore can't speak to service and ambiance. Prob won't order again.

We came here for lunch on a Friday and we're immediately seated. They have a great lunch special so we ordered the chicken pad z eew and the shrimp panang curry both of which came with a spring roll! The spring roll was to die for and next time I'm definitely going to order more of those to start us off. The curry was also amazing and the pad z eew was flavored perfectly!

We have a couple go-to restaurants for Thai food and this spot is one of them in Arlington! - Satay Chicken -- paired well with the peanut sauce - Papaya Salad -- loved the spicy lime sauce - Tom Yum Soup - Spicy Sweet Basil Ka Pow -- added chicken - Basil Fried Rice - Sweet Mango w/Pandanus Sticky Rice - Thai Iced Tea The interior is nicely decorated giving an inviting ambience for any occasion. The portion sizes were well worth the price and everything comes out promptly and tasted amazing! The service was great and their staff were friendly and attentive.

Service here was pretty good! Our server was extremely kind and friendly. She checked on us regularly. Forgot a couple things at one point (sauces), but that's never a huge deal to me if I don't have to wait too long. Now for the food: It's a solid MEH for me. I ordered the kratiem prik Thai (garlic peppery), which comes with rice. This is my favorite Thai dish, which normally tells me all I need to know about a place. Got the lunch special at $14.95, which includes a spring roll. Paid $4 extra for Tom Yum, too. Garlic peppery: NOPE! It wasn't bad but the rice was overcooked and the dish, itself, was lacking flavor. I'm used to this dish being very flavorful and, dare I say, garlicky? This was neither. Added soy sauce and chili and it was still under seasoned/flavored. And at $14.95, which was only like 1-2 bucks less than the full entree price, I was not impressed. Tom Yum: lots of chicken but not as much flavor as I'm used to. There are better Tom Yuma in the area for sure. Spring roll: basic. Could've passed on it altogether. They put the sauce on it instead of serving on the side, too, in case that's not your thing. Thai tea: $5 but pass. The cup was so full of ice and the tea itself tasted like sweet orange milk with a hint of Thai tea. Decor: very cute and they have a patio! The floral decor was cute and clean. Mango mojito: $16. Yikes. These are almost city prices and it wasn't strong lol In all, not a bad experience but not an impressive one. Definitely wouldn't go out of my way for it. Not worth the $35 I ended up paying for it (this is for everything listed above except the mojito).

Vegetable Hang-Over Noodle (Khee Mao)

Everything is delicious! I can't believe I forgot to order dessert. Chicken Satay: 10/10 grilled to perfection it also comes with 2 dipping sauces. One is a peanut sauce and the other is a sweet, tangy and refreshing sauce. Hangover Noodle Khee Mao: 8/10. I ordered mild and it was medium hot but I fought through the pain. Panang Curry: 9/10 probably the best Panang Curry I've had in DC. You won't reject it!

Thai Iced Coffee & Thai Margarita

Best dish on our first visit here was the duck rolls. I've never been much of a fan of duck meat, but these rolls were really good. I'd order them again. Soul Thai's interior is warm and inviting with rich wood and faux hanging plants. Service was great, our servers were smiling and welcoming. Our other appetizer was the fried calamari rings. These were fresh and hot and came with a sweet dipping sauce and a spicy dipping sauce. The Massaman Beef Curry was pretty good. Though it tasted great, some, but not all of the beef pieces were tough. The Khao Soi was very good. A little bit of the chicken was refrigerator cool, but it wasn't worth it to me to send it back. The sauce was great and I liked all the crispy fried noodles in the dish. I think that Soul Thai could cut the size of this entrée down a bit. It really is a hefty helping. JP ordered a Thai margarita. This creamy concoction was delicious. Loved the light sprinkles of dried lime and salt on the glass rim. Unfortunately, this drink is a special and will be only available this month. Soul Thai should consider making this cocktail a full time cast member. I also ordered the Thai Iced Coffee, which was excellent.

Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Tea Lychee

This is my second time dining in and it's been pleasant both times. The food here is delicious if you're looking for Thai food with quick service. The aestheic inside is cute and the customer service is great. The servers are pleasant and PLEASE GET THE MANGO STICKY RICE! Also highly recommend tbejr Thai Iced Tea Lychee.

Fried tofu appetizer, very tasty, fresh, not overly fried. This and a soup were enough to be a meal.

This is a nice neighborhood spot. This is a weird observation but something that impressed me is that they had all these hanging faux florals everywhere and normally those are huge dust collectors but these were completely dust free so they must be really on top of cleaning. I will say that we were sat at an odd table - they have three booths that share a wall with the kitchen and the wall has this open trellis work that goes straight through so all the kitchen noises, smells (including like soap smells) and anything venting came thru to our table like we were sitting in the kitchen and not in a good, chef's table way. We couldn't hear each other and asked to move so then they put us in this semi-private room off the main room by ourselves. I do not understand that design choice. As a result of being in the separate room I think service suffered a little. My other caveat is that this wasn't the most veg friendly menu for a Thai place (I'm pescatarian) Some of my favorite dishes, like massamun curry, automatically came with meat rather than a choice of protein, and the house specials were exclusively meaty. There were some other customizable options- curries and noodle dishes. But more limited than some other Thai places. I had had a big snack before we went and we also ordered appetizers so I ended up ordering a tom kha shrimp soup and a fried tofu appetizer. Honestly? This was really really satisfying and I couldn't finish so I would seriously consider that same combo if I came back again in a hungrier state. It is hard to believe that fried tofu can vary that much but this was especially good - fresh with good texture and am ample portion. Same goes for my soup. Really tasty and a nice portions for the price. My husband ordered a flat noodle dish that was similar to drunken noodles but slightly different and he enjoyed it and enjoyed that it offered some variety. We also got a papaya salad appetizer that was solid and not painfully spicy like in some places. Our grilled squid appetizer was lackluster - not bad, just not especially tender or flavorful - and that is the one thing I would recommend passing on. All in all I would come back here next time we are craving Thai because the food is good and portions are ample for the price. However, I might consider other places instead depending on the dish and/or vibe I am seeking.

Pad thai, drunken noodles, kanom jeeb, chicken skewers, tom yum, tom kha

We've come here twice, for my dad's birthday and my grandma's birthday. The space is cozy with cute and whimsical decor. I especially like the floral decorations hanging from the ceiling and the walls. The servers were very friendly and the food and drinks came out fast. My family is usually pretty picky since they usually only eat Vietnamese food but they like this spot enough to come back twice :) We're especially fans of the Tom Yum and Tom Kha, and the noodles are flavorful but not heavy or greasy. On both occasions they gave us free desserts, which is always appreciated. Definitely planning to keep this as one of my go-to Thai places!

I love the Soul vibe they have going on. The customer service was wonderful. The food is fantastic. We had the larb salmon. Flavors were spectacular. We also had the chive dumplings, spicy basil fried rice with seafood. Some of the best Thai tea around. A must place go for eats.

Food was amazing!!! Our family had a great time at this restaurant. We ordered the grilled octopus and it was the highlight of the dinner! We have been searching for a good place and we're delighted that we finally found it. We also ordered other dishes and they were yummy. We sat outdoors and enjoyed the nice breeze. Staff were very nice and friendly! Highly recommend if you are in town.

Soul Thai Kitchen & Bar, located at Dominion Hills Centre on Wilson Blvd in Arlington, offers authentic, flavorful Thai cuisine in a welcoming setting with hanging pots and modern lighting. Its cozy atmosphere, and popular dishes such as Grilled Squid, Drunken Noodles, Panang Curry, Soft-Shell Crab, and authentic Thai desserts like Mango with Pandan sticky rice and Coconut Custard with sweet sticky rice have made it a favorite in the neighborhood.

While sitting at the bar I was amazed by their bourbon list (see my photo of their top shelf), which had a bunch of Buffalo Trace goodies like EH Taylor, Stagg, Weller -- the rainbow -- heck yeah!, Blaton's, and Eagle Rare. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but that select is hard to bean, especially with Celtic House down the street. We ordered a few appetizers including the summer roles and shrimp cakes, which were both really good. I also go a double toro appetizer, which was a chu toro nigiri paired with a salmon belly. It was outstanding and the chu toro was incredibly fresh and a nice, thick, and flavorful cut. I was also delighted by the price, which I think was only $18. The happy hour drinks deals are great and of course I had to pair my food with a cold singha. I am so glad we happened to drop in to Bangkok 54 and it was just as good, if not better than when we used to go back in the day. Now I definitely need to return for dinner soon.

We both ordered the Thai iced tea, and for the appetizer, I ordered the Tom Yum with shrimp soup while my brother had the duck roll. The lack of lemongrass was pronounced and so disappointing. My brother said his roll was very good. Our main dishes were drunken noodles with shrimp and the salmon society: salmon avocado rolls, salmon cucumber roll, salmon nigiri, and salmon sashimi. The drunken noodle dish and Society were okay, but the star of the entire dinner for me had to be the coconut ice cream on top of the mango and sticky rice. Wow! My first bite of the ice cream was heavenly, and the next spoonful of ice cream and mango and sticky rice pushed this dessert on top of everything that I had that night. The mango was very sweet, which went very well with the sticky rice and ice cream. Oh, so good! Service was good, and the ambiance was great. I would stop here again and will have one of favorite desserts, the coconut ice cream with mango and sticky rice.

While it was hard to choose just one, we ultimately went with One Night in Bangkok, since the decor and strong reviews on both Yelp and Google caught our attention. We parked in the lot in the back, and the restaurant is located on the second floor, where Duangrat's (another Thai restaurant) is. Upon arriving around 5 PM, it was pretty empty. The restaurant shares its space with a small market, and the interior features lots of neon lights and bold decor, giving it a vibrant street-food vibe. Our server (who is also the owner) was extremely friendly. She walked us through the entire menu and recommended her favorites, making sure we always had water and felt comfortable throughout the meal. Between the three of us, we shared two appetizers, two entrees, and a dessert to wrap up our meal nicely. KANOM JEEB - 10 The shape reminded me of Cantonese siu mai, with open-faced filling wrapped with wonton skins. Each order came with four dumplings, generously stuffed with minced pork and corn, sitting atop a sweet, soy-based marinade. Unlike Cantonese siu mai, which is purely savory, these had a noticeable sweetness. I really enjoyed them, so much so that my friends let me have the last one. SAMOSAS - 12 Each order came with four samosas, stuffed with potatoes and (possibly) peas. The pastry was very crispy, and the filling was well-seasoned and flavorful. They tasted freshly prepared, as they arrived hot while we were eating. PAD SI EW - 17 +1 for beef As basic as pad si ew is, it's one of my favorite Thai dishes. The wide rice noodles were quite fresh and pleasantly chewy, with a good amount of Chinese broccoli and beef stir-fried in. The sauce was spot-on -- savory with hints of sweetness. I also liked that the fried egg on top was really fluffy, allowing the sauce to seep through nicely. Overall, a solid dish. RABIENG'S ROAST PORK CURRY - 18 We asked for the curry to be mild since two of us have a very low spice tolerance, but even then one of my friends was sweating profusely. The roast pork was incredibly juicy and tender, which we loved. The curry itself was flavorful, though a bit overpowering and salty, which meant I had to eat a lot of rice to balance it out. The tomatoes added a nice touch of sweetness. CHINESE BEIGNETS - 9 To wrap things up, we enjoyed an order of Chinese beignets (aka 油条). They were perfectly fried and topped with powdered sugar and a light drizzle of condensed milk. Surprisingly light despite being fried dough, this dessert was highly recommended by the owner, who emphasized how well the chef prepares it, and she wasn't wrong. Definitely worth ordering! Overall, the food was good, and we were satisfied with our choices. The was more than enough for all three of us, and everything came at a very affordable price.

The happy hour appetizers are all $9: sweet chili wings, steamed dumplings, butterfly shrimp, crab rangoons, spring rolls, and curry puffs. The appetizers came out stacked on a tiered birdcage stand wrapped in pink flowers and twinkle lights, and the whole table stopped to take pictures. We also added pad thai and shrimp fried rice to round out the meal. The drinks are just as pretty. Our cocktails came on a little blossom "tree" stand with lychee garnishes, and it honestly felt like a work of art. Drink specials are a steal too, with $5 wine, beer, mimosas, and champagne by the glass. The space itself is clearly made for photos, with neon signs, a flower wall, greenery, and a balloon arch. You can tell lots of influencers come here to shoot content. But it's not just for the 'gram. The vibe is friendly and welcoming, and we felt right at home. Good to know before you go: happy hour is Monday through Thursday only, 4 to 10 p.m., dine-in only, and while supplies last. They also don't accept prepaid cards, gift cards, or checks. If you're in Alexandria and want a happy hour that looks as good as it tastes, Linjee Thai is a great pick.
