I live in a shared home and often cannot here the doorbell or knocking so I always request a call upon arrival. No call was Made, woke up my housemates kids. I asked him if he tried to call and he gave told me outright I've got other deliveries I don't have time for that. Never went over my order, which ended up being wrong and overall just had a very negative attitude. Was a 40ish tall man with grayish facial hair usually it's a younger Thai gentleman who does a great job.. Having delivered myself this drivers whole approach was unacceptable.. Valentino S. Good for you to compare their menu to local street vendors. As stated I have been there for the same amount of time since they opened. I have recommended their restaurant for numerous events. But now, how can I recommend a restaurant that provides horrendous service and now mediocre thai food. Yes I agree that they were very good in the past, but for the present, they need to earn me back as a customer. Hopefully they realize that repeat customers are the ones that drive their restaurant to success, but by providing the unexcusable dining experience followed by poor cooking due to their "mood" at the moment does not justify their attitude. Also, there are 2 sides to every coin. I find it hard to believe that the restaurant would give a fair explanation to you as it is probably the first time for them to be called out for their actions. Basic common sense that they would deny any wrong doing. They work for the restaurant of course they are going to disagree with my review. So live and learn that service followed by great food will always bring customers back. Learn from your mistakes and ensure that you never treat another customer in this fashion. read more

I have been here several times and it's always hit or miss. My last visit was a miss. The Phad Thai was WAY too sweet. I couldn't finish even half of it and I wasn't in the mood to send it back and wait for something else. I've had similar experiences in the past as well. Although some nights they seem to be on it. I got this with my friend and had it delivered and it seemed like they really didn't want to do it. They said it would take 1.5 hours. Granted, it was 645pm but my friends house is literally 1 block away. But it's freezing outside so he didn't want to pick it up. Anyways, it took about 30 minutes to arrive and my friend paid so I don't know how much it cost but it wasn't worth it. The pad thai had no flavor, and was so dry the noodles broke apart when I tried to get some out. It was lukewarm at best. And like I said, the place is so close it's like a 2-3 minute walk away, so how long did it sit on a counter before the decided to deliver it? Also, the pad seew was flavored, just...poorly. And by poorly I mean badly, it just tasted like they threw some oyster sauce on it and called it good enough. There were 3 other dishes, but I gave up on them and didn't try it. Since my first review, I've tried this place several times-- both dine-in and take-out-- and I have to say, they are my within walking-distance go-to. And yes, the crab wontons definitely taste better while dining-in (a point of previous lamentation). I also think I came in on an off-day for the phad kee mao; it's not been super salty since my last review. While not my favorite spot for thai in the North Seattle area (slightly larger and tastier portions are to be had at Chaiyo for the about the same price point), if I'm looking for a reliably quick and delicious bite after a long day at work or have a friend unexpectedly dropping by for dinner, Thai One On fits the bill. read more

Spicy noodle soup is so good. I'm from Thailand and i can say it's authentic. The taste was bad on Sunday before, but when i told them, they said they just replaced Sunday chief. After that, it taste consistently good. Lunch menu come with good price too. Satisfy. read more

I've frequented this place for dinner once and for lunch over a dozen times. I've found the food and service consistently good. Their lunch specials are superb, offering a wide choice of diverse Thai dishes. I wasn't too impressed with the soft shell crab or crab won tons, but the garlic lunch is delicious if you like spicy and garlic flavors. All noodle lunches equally good. Since I haven't been here for a long time, I brought my friend here this morning. They open at 11am, we arrived at 10:59am, the waiter so us, so he unlock the door but didnt open it for us and greet us. We ordered Phad Thai, Red curry, and 5 Spice duck soup, when the waiter brought us the Phad Thai, the color looks so gray, even I can tell how he was looking at the Phad Thai, i asked him why it looks so dark, he asked me to try it first, if I dont like he can change it for me. I have one bite and have no Phad Thai taste. I asked for a return. He said different cook cook differently. He didnt apologize, and just gave me menu and ask me to change something else. So me and my friend try Phad See Ew, it came out the same color as the Phad Thai, dark gray. I didnt wanna bother to return it, i have a couple bites, it still taste not like Phad See Ew, but i didnt bother. I took the rest home. Later when I ate the left over Phad See Ew at home, I ate a piece of metal in there. I believe its the metal scrubber they use it to clean the wok to cook. The food there is no longer taste good, service is not as great. I will not go there again for sure. read more

Very surprised at poor quality meal. We have dined in several times, it's always been good. Ordered food for takeout tonight, and one dish (the sukiyaki soup) was flavorless w rubbery seafood, the phad thai was just mediocre and the orange fried chicken was greasy and fishy? tasting. The fresh roll appetizers and the papaya salad were the only edible dishes. What happened? New cooks? I'm not sure I'll eat here again anytime soon. read more

We ordered the phad thai (tasted like it came from the mall) orange chicken (just plane gross. Soggy, too sweet, floppy veggies) and beef salad (okay, but not good by any means). There are too many good Thai places in Seattle, don't waste your time here. Great Pad Thai! I usually get it to go. The last couple of times I've been ordering it vegan (no fish sauce, no egg) and it's still delicious! 2nd time eating food from Thai One On. The 1st time my son and I went to the restaurant on a early Sat evening. It was wonderful! Today I ordered delivery from Door Dash. I do live close by, so the food was still hot. I tried a few different appetizers and ordered a few main dishes for dinner. WOW! I am in love with this place! I ordered through eat 24. com and was told that they were busy and order would take 90 minutes. It has been 2 1/2 hours and still no food. I had eat 24 call them and they said the order was out and on it's way. So, then they call me up and say the order hasn't be made and it will be out in 20 minutes. So, 3 hours to get my food. this is probably the worst restaurant i've ever been to. there were about 30 people in my group and they only took orders for about half of our group's. the half of us was waiting for almost an hour to order but the waiter kept ignoring us. when i asked why did not he take our orders, he said we were too many. "next time please call" he said. he only took half our group's order because he wanted to prioritize other's customers who came after us. what kind of system is that? our group came first way before other customers came in. he should have just let us go in the first place and not have us wait for almost an hour. i never wrote reviews for restaurant but this is absurd. he was rude and his attitude was very ignorant. he saw our hands raised up to order but kept ignoring us. worst experience ever! read more

I have eaten here so many times...and have never been let down. The staff here is so wonderful and sweet. They'll keep the place open past their regular hours if you're in there taking your time and not paying attention to the hour. They always make you feel at home and the interior is so beautifully decorated. Nice comfortable booths which are cushy and soft. Their pad see iew is extra yummy, as are their pomegranate martinis! I discovered their drink menu one night when I wanted to avoid some of the downtown traffic over the holidays. They have a cutesy little bar in the back, and the bartenders are very helpful and can mix up a great drink. I'm so happy to have this place in Lake City! read more

i love thai one on. i used to live near here and it is one of the few places on lake city worth going to. ive taken a ton of people here, including many members of my extended family who haven't had much thai and everybody like it (except for my mom who ordered the orange chicken. but why would anyone order orange chicken at a thai place?! weird.) they have a $20 min for delivery which sucks but i would actually order two phad kee maos and an order of fresh rolls just to get it to my door. but like always, i think thai food is much better in the restaurant than the takeout. they've also raised their prices, but i suppose everywhere has done that... i went here for lunch once and was disappointed. read more

Their food is pretty good. But it's kinda pricey. Anyway, the atmosphere is kind of nice, even though it can be loud sometimes. The thing that people should try in this restaurant that they can't get anywhere else is Prig khing with crispy pork (it doesn't matter whether you order it on rice or separate. This one is definitely a winner in this place. Oh, and it's not in the menu, so you kinda have to order it yourself. They'll know what you're talking about. I've driven by this place a zillion times and finally went there for dinner. It's a welcome oasis on a skanky strip of Lake City Way, surprisingly nice inside. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and attentive, but not annoyingly so. In other words, just right. The price was just right too, and we'll definitely be going back! However, if you plan to order take-out, do it as soon as you can before the peak dinner hours because you'll be waiting for over an hour. Depends on how hungry you are, I guess. :) read more

Reading the take out menu made me hungry and thus, inspired me to write this review. My review solely focuses on the food because while the interior of the place is cute, the restaurant is within walking distance to my house. I usually order their Pad Thai (medium spice) while my fiance usually gets their garlic chicken (also medium spice). The pad thai noodles are perfectly cooked and their sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and salty. While I have tried other noodle dishes (e.g., pad see ew), I always come back to my tried and true. For often than not, the portions are huge and the ingredients are quality and fresh. The previous sentence also applies to the fiance's good-huge portions and plentiful amounts of fresh veggies and meat. Also, we've tried their chicken sate, tamarind scallops, and roti.
