If you want authentic Szechuan this is the place! What we got: - Wonton soup - homemade dumplings had a good ginger and garlic flavor. Big enough for two as an app. - Double cooked pork - absolutely outstanding. Big portion with vegetables, fermented black beans, so good! - Spicy crispy fish - highly recommend this if you like spicy food. I love this dish whether the chicken or fish variations and this might have been the best I've had! I can't say enough about the Chinese food. We were blown away with how good they were. Our server Patrick was incredible. He was so friendly and welcoming. He's a serious skier and you can often find him backpacking 30+ pounds of cooking gear to make fresh food slope side! We have tried many places in Vail and I highly, highly, highly recommend this place. The interior is small so I recommend making a reservation. Pro tip: it's BYOB so bring a bottle of wine or a few beers!

I got the Vietnamese Pho bowl called "Combo Vermicelli that had chicken, shrimp, beef and pork($17.95). I didn't like it but before making this review I researched what I ordered and it was exactly has it should have been. I didn't know the item I selected was cold noodles and room temperature raw vegetables. So my mistake ordering it. I'm just not familiar with Vietnamese food.

Hospitable host, clean place, plenty of table space, big screen TV for watching sports and even bar to satisfy your libation needs. Phở is on the sweet side but you can finish the broth without trembling your fingers. Protein and broth vs noodles ratio can be adjusted. Price is low for the area. Portion is good There are plenty of other options but I stick to P13 Tái chín nạm. Also order to go with uncooked noodles. Lower your expectations if you're the phở connoisseur. Good experience overall with a couple suggestions to the owner…read more First, we planned to make reservations but opted not to bother based on reviews suggesting it was fruitless. They seated the five of us within two minutes and did ask if we had made any. So suggestion here is to go ahead and make them but seems experiences vary. We ordered seven sushi rolls and they made them super fast! Had a big boat as a nice presentation. Suggestions: my child wanted a side of fried rice. Was told we had to order the full entree. So after spending over $100 on sushi, I have to order a $16 plate of rice. Had to add a protein which we didn't want so opted for chicken. Suggestion here is to offer a side of plain fried rice. Seems an easy fix so we will see next year. Also, chicken wasn't cooked well or something was off. So add that to the list. Again, good experience overall. Service was nice, sushi great, the rest was as mentioned above.

What struck us first when we entered the restaurant was the outstanding service. It continued throughout the night. I'm guessing here, but I think the gentlemen was the manager and the lady was the owner. Both took pride in the restaurant as well as the food. My partner had Mongolian Beef and I was craving Sweet and Sour. Because it was a cold night, I had to have my pot of tea. It was quiet and intimate, and it really was a perfect meal and evening. I love when employees buy into the vision of the entrepreneur. China Garden isn't pretentious, but it's one of those places I wish we had in our neighborhood.
