    Tom yum soup

I thought the pad thai was great! It had a lot of veggies, and was flavorful. Super tasty and good price. The Tom yum soup was good too, super warm and satisfying for a cold night. I will def be ordering from here again.

I decided to give this place another shot, since they were running a promotion on GrubHub. I have not actually dined at Thai Hut in person, so I can't comment on the service or ambiance, but based on the menu, it seems to be more of a casual spot. They have all the staples, but nothing especially inventive. I ordered the Drunken Noodle, which I found to be just okay. The noodles had a nice consistency, but the dish itself was very greasy and the beef didn't seem to be of the best quality. However, they did include a decent amount of protein and vegetables. I can see this being the kind of Thai food you might want after a night of drinking, but I would definitely pick takeout from another place like Dakzen or Mad Monkfish over Thai Hut any day of the week.

I tried this place with a friend and it was good for the price. I got the Pad See Ew and the Thai Iced Tea and it was delicious and flavorful. The prices were great and affordable for a broke college student like me. Overall, this place was very friendly, but it is small and has a few seating. It is located at a convenient corner in Somerville in a quiet neighborhood.

Thai Iced Tea and Lo Mein

Ordered takeout for dinner, loved how cheap everything was! The Thai tea was $3 and the lo mein was $10. The Thai tea was a bit on the sweeter side, and the lo mein was good but nothing out of the world. Great spot for a quick cheap eat!

    Crab Rangoon

I am so disappointed in the "CRAB RANGOON", the menu offers the ingredients of cream cheese and crab but when I got my order today . I bit into something that had no cream cheese and I'm sure it had no crab. The texture of the filling tasted like shredded carrots and had no base within the Rangoon. We brought this up to the lady who is there often and explained it was filled with AMERICAN CHEESE !! She didn't want to give an exchange or refund. I continued to express my displeasure with my dish and after a lot of backlash and attitude. If you are picky and want accommodating refund or exchange THEY WONT BE A HELP!!! DON'T BOTHER to buy the Crab Rangoons !!!

Paid Thai, chicken wings, tom yum soup, wonton soup.

I hate to have to give this place a two but after trying a number of their dishes I really only liked about one soup. The wonton soup was phenomenal as are their other soup options. I tried their pho soup and was not impressed, it was far too sweet. I also did not enjoy their chicken wings which were too hard. Pad Thai was not the best I have had either. The one item I have tried three different types of each are the fried rices and the noodles. They are over cooked with a burned smell I would say and too try and stick together noodles. I eat Thai at many different places and this is my honest opinion. Sorry guys but I do hope you are able to improve.

Thai Hut got to me in 20 minutes with steaming hot curry and chicken satay during the quarantine. The curry was literally steaming. Delicious curry and chicken satay! Support local businesses during this time and order from Thai Hut!

I've gotten lucky with walking in but they have enough seating for one to generally be able to snag a table even around dinner time. During the summer, they have lovely outdoor seating! I've gotten take out here once and the food holds up well. Now onto the food... - drunken noodles: occasionally these are very spicy and occasionally they are appropriately spicy. They are always so excellent and the noodles are bouncy and chewy! I usually get this with pork. - pad see ew: this is my favorite Thai noodle dish and it's no exception here. Not as spicy as the drunken noodles but just a massive portion of filling noodles, chicken/tofu, and Chinese broccoli. There's something about the way they do the sauce here that is just so savory and delicious. It feels less greasy than it usually does at other Thai places, which I really like - pad mee korat: my friend always get this and raves about it. I felt like it was worth sharing that this comes in a huge plate and was finished completely. They have a lot of variety in dishes!!

Flavor-wise, this version was lighter and more lime-forward than the sweeter, dark soy profile I'm used to. It was also very liquidy, which didn't mesh well with the noodle type. The Pad Thai was fine overall. They use a different kind of noodle than I've eaten before, which was fun and unique. The flavor was solid, though not especially memorable. Portion sizes were very generous, especially for Boston. That said, at $17 per dish I didn't feel the quality quite matched the price, even with the large portions. Overall, it's not gonna be my go-to spot, but I'd be open to ordering again if a friend really wanted to.

The restaurant was buzzing when we arrived, but we were seated right away at the last available table. The space felt both lively and cozy, perfect for a date night. Service started a bit slow, but once it picked up, the pacing was excellent. Our server was more hands off, which worked well, letting us settle in and enjoy the night without feeling rushed. We started with the Larb Pork Dumplings, which were beautifully presented with chili lime mayo, fresh herbs, and crispy greens. They were fried perfectly, packed with bright Thai flavors, and the added crunch from the greens made the dish even better. With five dumplings, it was a great portion to share. For dinner, we ordered the Crispy Basil Burger and the Thai Garlic Burger, both cooked medium and full of flavor, with Thai seasoning adding a unique twist to the beef.

It has all of the flavors and textures of Khao Soi, with pickled mustard greens for acid, crispy noodles for a crunchy flair, and just the right amount of spice. I find myself craving it often! The one and only bone I have to pick with Black Ruby is that the service, while very attentive, is almost TOO fast. I get that they want to turn tables over efficiently, but the last couple of times I've come, I kind of felt like they were rushing me out. I came here to catch up with a couple friends and our food came almost instantly, before our drinks, and the waitress seemed eager to keep us moving. I think our entire meal was less than 50 minutes. While I'll definitely be back, I think it won't be somewhere I'd bring friends anymore since it's just not enough time for a full conversation.

Another friend got the duck which is her favorite dish (she was happy with it!). I got spicy green beans and chicken and it was very flavorful and just the perfect level of spicy for me. Two of us ordered the hot sake (it's in the teens today!). The hot sake is actually a nicer brand than you sometimes get. It had a nice clean finish and maybe went down a little too easily!
