I've been here a couple of times so far and have tried orange chicken, fried rice, and red curry. All of these dishes tasted great. Very flavorful and spice level to your preference. Service was quick - both when I had takeout and when I came to dine in. I did notice that portions were larger during dine in - so much so that I had leftovers to take home. It's nice to have a Zabiha Halal Thai option in the twin cities! I will be back here and would recommend it. read more

This is my first time trying Thai Express. It was closer to my house and they open earlier so I thought I'll give it a try. I usually go order my Fried Rice from Lemon Grass Thai Cuisine or Sweet Basil. I ordered the Thai Basil Fried Rice and it was awful. The rice was hard and tasteless. The rice tasted like it wasn't cook all the way. I've ordered the Thai Basil Fried Rice from other Thai restaurant and it doesn't taste like this. Bad experience for me. I would not recommend their Fried Rice to anyone. I never ordering from them again. read more

Chicken red curry was so good I had to order it again the next day! Great spiciness and flavor!

For takeout, Thai Express fills half of each container with rice before adding your stir fry or curry dish. This means that you really only get about half of what you pay for. I would like to see them separate the rice into separate containers to give customers more food. read more

Keep in mind, this is an "express" restaurant, so the menu options are limited as compared to a full scale Thai restaurant. That being said, they still have a good selection of food, their meat is halal, I received my food relatively quick, and the portion was pretty big. Only comment is that I received way too much rice for my curry dish and that I'd prefer to receive the rice separate/on the side from the curry, instead of poured on top. read more

I've tried them 4 times over the last 2 months to give justice to a friend's recommendation just to make sure the prior recent experiences were one offs- but they scrimp on the protein, get the spice levels wrong and flavor palette is hit n miss. My most recent order was a simple chicken fried rice delivered which showed up with two tiny pieces of chicken n my wife ordered a veg fried rice that showed up with no veggies, but both of them had loads of pineapple slices .. done with this crap cause we're not fond of cheap restaurant leftover food.. thank u n buzz off read more

This is a nice addition to Maple Grove. The restaurant is a nice, new and clean space. The food is good, not quite as authentic as some others, but that is what I expected. I order the Chicken Pad Thai, which was very good! I also ordered a shrimp spring roll, (they do orders of 1, not 2) the only thing I wish they had was pork and shrimp spring rolls. This place is awful. Slow, rude service and GROSS FOOD. I waited almost 20 minutes for food I couldn't eat.

The food isn't that bad but I'd say it's overpriced for what you can get at a regular restaurant. I'm reviewing the the management for your inquiry. I have had many good friends that worked here and always come out stressed and exhausted. The manager yells at the employees for every small thing and blames them for stealing money when they didn't. He has his own cameras inside the building that he micromanaged the employees when he's not working. He's threatened my friends who worked there that he would make their life miserable because they're high schoolers. I believe age does not matter if you can be responsible. He's left one employee to run all 13 hours alone to the register and to cook meals. The employees there are really friendly when I go, but hearing the BTS of the backlash the employees get from the manager is not worth going back to support. read more

We ordered online a lunch order for 4 people. We went to pick it up and they said they hadn't received our ticket yet they said but could make our order. No apology. None. We waited another half an hour for food to be made. Again no apology and no voucher or coupon for next time or perhaps free spring rolls or something. An apology would have made a huge difference though. I only gave 2 stars because the food was good. Really Bad customer service experience. read more

Order # 47 : To- go order of Beef Tom Yum soup w/coconut milk, Chicken Pad Thai and Imperial Roll. I stood for about 5 minutes waiting to order when there was no other customer ahead or behind me. A customer that already order came and stood in front of me to place another order and paid for it. Lady at the register turned right back around to go to the kitchen before realizing I was standing there to order. She took my order and a couple of minutes later tried to to serve my to-go order of imperial roll on a plate. While waiting for my food, a family of 4 came in to order meals- Order#48. They ordered Pad Thai among other items. They started receiving their meals in about 8 minutes while I was still waiting. I went up to ask why I wasn't getting served in seconds they shoved my order together in a paper bag. With a hungry pregnant wife and a 3 year old waiting in car I rushed out with my food. Took a total of about 25 minutes to get my "EXPRESS" order complete Got home to realize, my tom yum soup did not have beef, spice, or coconut milk that i was charged for. I called them to inform them of the screw up and was asked come back in for the missing portion. I told the guy I could not drive back out (35mins roundtrip). This was about 8:30pm. He hung up the phone. I understand this is a new place and may be trying to find your bearing but this kind of service is recipe for failure. read more

I've come here in the past for their pad thai and always enjoyed their food. After today I'm never ordering online for curbside pickup again there not so great with checking order specifics. Called upon arriving per the online instructions but was told to wait and ended up hanging up after 11 minutes. I ended up going inside, saw my order sitting there ready to be delivered and no one at the cash register. I had ordered my Pad Thai without any egg, I should probably add that I eat mainly plant based but dont eat egg but do eat meat and fish once in a blue moon. Once on the road again I opened the box and realized there was egg covering everything. Tried eating some of it but not even halfway through gave up from the overpowering egg taste and didn't want to risk a bad stomach ache . Ended up having to eat the spring roll since I was starving and didn't want to get home on an empty stomach. read more
