We haven't been to too many hot pot restaurants in MN but this one popped up and was getting some hype so we tried! It was very nice and clean inside. You order on the keypad and a lot of the veggies / appetizers were up at the self service bar. First, you want to pick your broths. I don't eat pork so it's a little tricky but they had miso, Tom Yum (lime shrimp) and mushroom. We got the miso and TY. The Tom Yum was super spicy! The server mentioned it was spicy and sour. It was spicy. I didn't taste a lot of the typical TY flavors in it. We would try the mushroom next time. (I took a pic of the broth options). My favorites to put in the broth: Self service area: potatoes, bok choy, daikon radish and tofu was fun. Order on the menu: enoki & seafood mushrooms!!! Our favorite and it will convert some non mushroom eaters). Meats: sliced lamb (must get!) , shrimp & my group got sliced beef and pork. Noodles! Recommend cooking your potatoes, daikon first. They take a long time and put mushrooms and bok choy on top. We cook our red meats last as it tends to make the broth a little fatty. Then noodles last and put them in the last of your sauce. So yummy. Overall, it was nice to do all you can eat hot pot but we would like to see more seafood options included. We will be back if craving and want somewhere convenient.

Sun a fun experience! This was our first time here and the staff went out of their way to explain how it worked, did a little demo and made sure our first visit was excellent! Celebrating a birthday dinner, but opted not to alert them of that- the song is a bit unnerving, but its all in good fun. So many options price wise. We all chose the hot pot only which really includes quite a bit. Drink, appetizers, the best vegetables ever (mushrooms were my favorite) , meats, seafood, rice, noodles and so many other things all included in the price which was defintely a deal given the amounts of food you get. So many great options to go with your choice of broth (spicy and non-spicy) Order on the ipad and the little robot brings it out in no time. Staff is excellent and so very helpful and eager to show you how it works and so passionate about what they do. Vegetables are up at the self serve bar. Appetizers (little spring rolls, and other fried goods) Sauces galore- ask for Tigers sauce- which was the best. Fruit Kimchi Cucumber salad to die for. So good The whole experience was fun, new and the best part being with loved ones and having the best time. Will certainly return!

My family and I went to Upin Hotpot today and had a fabulous time! It was so clean and modern. Little robots assist the waitstaff in bringing your food out. You can order all you can eat sushi, hot pot, or both. However the whole table has to pick the same option. Our waitress was very helpful in guiding us through the process as it was our first time eating hotpot. All you can eat also includes a soft drink and choice of add ons and appetizers. The salad bar ingredients are super fresh. There are a bunch of options for sauce bar. We ordered pork bone broth and medium spice Sichuan broth. The pork bone broth wasn't very flavorful so definitely needed the spice bar for that. Sichuan had good flavor, not too spicy even at medium. I've heard great things about the Tom Yum so if I come back I'll give that a try next time. We also ate fatty beef, pork belly, angus steak and squid. The squid wasn't great but I think that was our cooking error. Was a bit firm. I added on mushrooms and tofu and shrimp balls. We also had rice noodles and udon (huge portion of fresh udon is given) and a ton of fresh veggies. All in all the hot pot itself isn't super flavorful so you do have to get familiar with the sauce bar and figure out how to adjust to your extract preference which could probably be an art in itself. I recommend the cream cheese wontons. They were light, crispy, and savory. One of us ordered the sesame chicken and onion fried rice and he loved that. Those come at no additional cost with the meal. There are no additional or hidden costs. If you waste an aggressive amount of food they have the right to add a $10.99 charge per pound wasted, so just don't be aggressive and you're good. Normal waste is fine. Come check this out for a super cool foodie experience and some great eats.

Fun experience with my son. It's cheaper to go at lunch during the week if you're on a budget. The staff is great about explaining the many options they have. My only complaint is they ran out of the rice noodles I like. I'm gluten free so my option were limited. They had a great variety of veggies and meat to choose from!

Very few times have I been to a restaurant and had nothing to say about improvements they could make. This is one of those times, though. This place is fantastic and we will definitely be back. As our first visit to a hot pot restaurant, we left very impressed with both the quality, flavor, and experience of the food as well as the quality of the service. Bring an appetite and enjoy!

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday brunch and we had a great time. We were greeted and seated immediately! You order everything you want off an IPad which is nice with AYCE because you don't have to wait for a waiter to come to your table. They have a really great selection of broths, vegetables, meats, seafoods and sauces. There was nothing that I felt as if I was missing on the menu. We got the tom yum and miso broths! The tom yum was spicy and delicious and the miso didn't have a ton of flavor but i didn't really expect it too. Everything was brought out very quickly and they were good at coming up and picking up empty trays. The pork belly was delicious in the hot pot broth! The only thing we had that we ended up not loving was their spicy beef and their kimchi. Everything else was fresh and tasted great. The sushi wasn't my favorite (we only tried their nigiri, none of the rolls) but, my boyfriend really enjoyed it! He loved the red snapper. The sauce bar was extensive and i enjoyed that they put out fresh fruit for you to grab! I also really liked the thai tea that we got. It was more milky and mild than other thai teas i've had but it was nice to have with the oily, spicy hot pot. I think that for the price at lunch time, this is a great place to go and a great value! Especially if you're someone who can eat a lot. The decoration in the restaurant wasn't anything special but that didn't really bother me. The staff was friendly and attentive. Overall i would definitely come here again.

    Tum yum and Herbal soup
    Doua Chi V.

We did the AYCE sushi+hot pot. They do not have a lot of meat varieties, maybe because its lunch?? They only had, fatty beef, thin pork belly, spicy beef, shrimps, mussels, and squid. So we ordered everything except for the shrimps. For our soup base, we have the tum yum and herbal base. Tum yum base is very water down so i ended up adding fish sauce, garlic, sugar, and lime to it. As for the herbal soup, it's very savory BUT very salty. My husband and I joked about maybe they had accidentally put all the salt into the herbal soup and forgot the tum yum. My baby will not eat the watermelon, which was weird because it's all she eats at home. I then took a bite and know exactly why she will not eat it, it's very spongy and not edible. Hopefully these are not from the night before. I love the sauce bar, because i can make my own dipping sauce.

This place is great! The fun combo of all you can eat hot pot and all you can eat sushi was enticing enough for us to stop in for a weeknight dinner. The establishment is super clean and modern on the inside, and there is excellent ventilation, fun music and those neat food robots. Our service was fantastic and SUPER fast. Our server was so sweet, smiley, attentive and helpful. The absolute best thing about this place is that all the ordering happens on a tablet right from your table. I LOVE this for AYCE so you never feel rushed and you never feel like the server is waiting on you to make a selection. The food options were even better than some other hot pot places I've been to -- our favorite was the peeled shrimp! The buffet area was very clean and well stocked. The sauce area was also cleanly and nicely labeled. I tried the sushi: some sashimi and 2 rolls. Our favorite was the upin roll. I didn't love the sashimi but it was ok. I was more focused on the hot pot. There's a ton of options for food and a nice amount of space for all customers. I'm not a hot pot expert yet, but I'll be back to try this place again!

This was a fun spot to try out considering its located close to home and that I don't have to drive to the cities for ayce hot pot. For soups, we chose the tom yum and pork bone broth. The tom yum was my preferred of the two but did not expect it to be spicy. There weren't spice indicators so they could've added that or let us know. The variety for food was actually cool to see and tried most of the hot pot meats, seafood, and vegetables. I also thought pairing hot pot with sushi was an interesting choice but I enjoyed it! In terms of service, we felt some of the serving sizes were inconsistent with both hot pot & sushi. We'd get the incorrect amount of sushi orders (paper menu mentions # of sashimi/sushi in an order). Otherwise they were really attentive! Hoping to continue going to Upin and try it with others.

It was my first time at a Hot Pot place and it was a great experience! The restaurant was pretty busy, but I could tell right away how clean and organized it was. I would recommend ordering both Hot Pot and sushi so that you can taste of a wide variety of foods. The sushi was delicious! We ordered 4 rolls to share. I would recommend the shrimp tempura roll. The Hot Pot was also a fun experience. We cooked all the food in front of us and then created our own sauces. I tried a few variations of things from chicken, beef and even squid! The servers also were very attentive and helpful! I will be back!

We went there for a friend's birthday. All you can eat hot pot and sushi. You can order the type of broth for the hot pot. 1 or 2 different types. We ordered Tom yum goong and bone broth. Then ordered the meats for the hot pot. Veggies are over at the veggie station next to the dessert and sauce station. Build your own dipping sauce too. There's a robot that will bring out the meats that was ordered on the iPad, but the servers also brought out the items we ordered. Waitress checked up on us often, added more broth to the pot. In the end they brought out a fried ice cream and sang happy birthday. My friend was able to choose a prize, she got $25 coupon for her next visit. The place is big, kpop music playing in the background. Would definitely come back again.

Tablet to order food except soups.

Then we got to cook the food on the hot plate at the table!!!!! Which is common for KBBQ, but I was marveling over how cool it was the whole time. I LOVED that it was all you can eat. I got to try so many new things!! My friend and I went for lunch and I didn't eat breakfast in preparation and then I was so full I didn't eat dinner either. Totally worth the price (ended up being about $50 for the KBBQ and a pop, gratuity is automatically included). The staff were pretty quick getting all of our food orders out. The meat came out in small portions which I thought was perfect for all you can eat. I appreciated the set up because the meat wasn't sitting out buffet style (that would've been gross) and we didn't have any meat go to waste at the end. I also liked that they came to switch out the hot plate after like forty five minutes or so. The plate gets covered in some of the marinades and it was nice to have a clear one. Good touch! I was impressed at the meat selection. I haven't had KBBQ elsewhere, so I'm not sure how it compares, but there were so many different things to try. The tablet had photos of each item, which was extremely helpful as someone who isn't super familiar with KBBQ. They had a reference poster on the wall with all the different cook times, so I didn't feel totally lost with the hot plate. My tongs didn't completely close which made it difficult to pick up the thinly sliced meat, but it wasn't completely prohibitive and I'm sure I could've asked for different tongs. My favorite meat by far was the garlic shrimp. I also enjoyed the pineapple. I couldn't find the tofu on the tablet, but I wasn't dying to try that so I wasn't too torn up about it. I tried so many beef and pork items in all different cuts and I liked all of them. The only thing I would change would be the sauce bar and pricing clarification. I liked that they had a whole sauce bar with recommended sauces and flavor combinations. However, the posters for the sauce recipes were behind the vegetables/premade sauces and almost all the sauce recipes required soy sauce or sriracha which were at the beginning of the sauce bar. Because there was a perpetual line at the sauce bar, I had to get back in line to get my soy sauce and sriracha. Not a big deal, but sort of confusing. I also would not recommend getting any of the appetizers at the sauce bar, they seemed like they had been out for a while. Also not a big deal but sort of confusing were the prices online and on the poster outside the restaurant very largely say "LUNCH 22.99" and "DINNER 33.99" but the lunch deal is just for week days. Weekend meals are dinner pricing all day. The posters say this in small font, you just have to look closely. In my opinion, the experience was TOTALLY worth the money Overall, I really enjoyed my time at KPOT and would definitely go again! The staff were nice and respectful. The food was delicious and the service was quick. Next time, I want to do KBBQ and the hot pot.
