I honestly can't believe that I haven't been sooner! It's now going to be my go-to for catching up with a friend or date night. My friend and I did the 4 course option for only $80 each! The waiter was great, he explained how everything worked and gave great recommendations. I got the Caesar salad and we shared the fiesta cheese fondue. The cheese fondue was sooo good and we loved the breads, fruits and veggies that came with it. We chose the Coq Au Vin for our cooking style since we wanted the steak lovers for our entrees. My last review here I was a bit disappointed as I felt this place was starting to go downhill... but they have absolutely turned it around! There is a paid parking ramp or a paid parking lot right next to this place. Either way, you're paying haha The last time I was here, I was concerned about it feeling dirty and not well maintained. That is not the case anymore! Everything was clean, everything looked well put together! Very impressed! Our server was Ben and he was delightful! Had a good energy and was on top of everything! I loved my meal and my experience at The Melting Pot! I think the key to enjoying The Melting Pot is to go with 6-8 people and for a celebration. In this case, I went for my birthday with 7 friends and we got to try so many different things. We also got our own little room which was fun and felt very private and the service was fantastic. It was the first time for everyone here so the server explained how it works and we ended up doing all the courses. This is what we got: 1st Course: Cheese - Wisconsin Cheddar 5/5 - Spinach and Artichoke 4/5 - Fiesta 4/5 2nd Course: Salads, everyone picks their own. Honestly, this course wasn't anything special and we could've gone without 3rd Course: Entree, everyone picks their selection of meat (or vegetarian option) - Mojo 5/5 - Traditional Oil 5/5 - Grill 4/5 * The best meats for us were teriyaki steak, filet steak, and shrimp (especially breaded with tempura and panko) 4th Course: Chocolate - S'mores 5/5 - Turtle 4/5 - Cookies and Cream 4/5 I also got 6 free chocolate dipped strawberries for being part of their rewards for my birthday. We got the 50th anniversary special 4 course for 2 and left with full bellies! We were able to choose a cheese fondue of our choice, a salad, entrees and cookie style (we went with the broth) and then a chocolate dessert fondue to round off your meal. Hadn't been here in decades, mostly because I was unimpressed the first time I went. This time however, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience and food. We went with a group for a birthday celebration. It's pricey, but you get a lot of food; we could barely finish the dessert course. Cocktails were good and not badly priced. A Caprese salad was a good start with pretty flavorful tomatoes and a good Mozzarella. We had two types of cheese fondues to start; a traditional French style and one that was more Italian. Both were very yummy. For the entrees, we got one pot of oil and another of wine, along with a nice variety of meats and veggies. It was fun to mix and match everything with the different hot liquids, although I have to admit that I couldn't really tell the final results apart. It was all delicious. We have been wanting to try this place for years and finally we made reservations for Mother's Day! They can accommodate large groups. When you make reservations you can pay extra for a bouquet of flowers or other decorations for special occasions. There is an outdoor pay parking lot across the street or a connected parking ramp. Since it was Mother's Day, the menu was limited compared to the original menu but it still had four courses. With six people we had two cooktops at the table, so we got to choose two different cheeses, two cooking styles for the meats, and two chocolates at the end. This made it fun to try different flavors/styles from the menu. Our server explained our options and how everything worked as far as using the utensils and cooking styles. The classic option for the meat entree is a great one to try out various meats from the menu. The steak was a fav from the table, especially braised in the coq au vin broth. The entree also came with zucchini, mushrooms and potatoes to cook up. It is a little tedious to sit and wait for the items to cook (2-3minutes each piece, we used our phone timers) but that's also the experience and kind of fun to cook your own meats at the table. You also only get three pokers so you can only cook three items at a time. Each persons pokers are colored so you won't forget whose piece is whose when it's sitting in the broth cooking. The chocolate at the end was really good to finish off the courses. I felt the food wasn't standout but the unique experience was. So, I assume that's apart of the higher prices. The host/manager with the most epic mustache sat us and was amazing from the start and helped with service throughout the evening! The server was incredible and great at explaining things for us and really helped us with what to get as we had a vegetarian in our group. The ambiance was great, we had a street view that was an all glass and quite entertaining to be honest with people walking by. We got a chicken, pork and shrimp entree, an all steak entree and an all veggie with one mushroom ravioli entree. We started with a yummy cheese blend and had veggies and breads to dip. We enjoyed that! The meats were great aside from the chicken, that was not our favs. The veggies were good and took a little longer to cook and everything was planned out through an app. They all had a preset timer you use through your phone which made it very easy. The pepperred one was good but I think the rub beef didn't go well with the broth. The salmon was very nice too. The protein portion was not large for the price but the veggie portion made me full. The potato takes a long time so cook them first thing. I had the signature wine broth. It doeen't have a lot of taste. There were 6 sauces (exotic combo like yogurt + curry). I didn't like any of them and would rather have simple mustard. Overall, the meat for the fondue was the best thing of the dish. My server coughed like crazy when taking my order. She was really apologizing and I didn't want to be rude and asked to change the server but it's not pleasant at all. She coughed continuously for almost a minute at my table. This is not an 1.5 hour meal. We were here over 3 hours. Service was excellent! 5 stars for that! Food was good- nothing to write home about. But it's the experience that people come here for. We were in a small private room, which was nice, but that meant there was no air circulation or fresh air. Our clothes, hair, and jackets REEKED of food for days after. Dinner started off with a Caesar salad which was good but the Parmesan pine nuts were difficult to manage and too sweet. We had the three-course lunch set menu for two, with salad, the first fondue pot with bread and veggies, the second savory pot with meat, seafood and all the goodies, and the third pot which is chocolate. Simply amazing and out of this world. This is our first experience at Melting Pot even though we've had various Asian style hot pots and Swiss fondue experiences. I went to this business night for the first time with my daughter, who was extremely excited to try fondue. When we first entered the restaurant, she was excitedly telling the host how excited she was, he got rather irritated, and said that he couldn't follow the conversation. He did not even give me a chance to offer my name and reservation before he was frustrated with my little girl. Out server, came up next to the podium and was very pleasant. He helped us figure out all the options and types of fondue, how we wanted the entree style of broth and took our drink order. The cheese fondue was the first round and it was quite delicious, however the serving size was rather on the paltry side throughout the entire meal. I was surprised at how much we paid for such a small and mediocre quality of food. The fondue probably had a serving of 4-6 bite sizes of golden apple, 12 squares of various bread and two abby carrots cut up in chunks and a couple cherry tomatoes. I was not impressed. The entree fondue was slightly better but the cooking time was long for the meats and while we were warmed, it was easy to burn yourself when you thought it had cooked enough to eat. Only the dessert fondue was truly the best part and I don't even like chocolate that much. And, while the service was very pleasant, it was extremely slow. Having a young child with me and having to literally wait between 15-20 minutes between the three courses was really difficult. at one point, the manager/host walked around and was cordially greeting each of the tables, but walk quickly by us and made the comment that he could see "we were doing well." How do you know if we're doing well if you don't stop and talk to us? at that point, we are actually into our 20th minute waiting for the next course. I couldn't locate our server after each course. I finally flagged down another server so we could get our next course (dessert). When we did get dessert another ten minutes later, I immediately asked for a bill so I would not have to wait for that too. Now, let me start by saying the only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because of the set up upon entry. It just wasn't as "fancy" as the others we have been to. We walked in and the entry area has a bar with some tables and then a slight right is the hostess. The tables when we walked in were dirty and that's just the first thing we saw when we walked in. It's probably just the set up of the building and just different but those plates sat there 10 minutes into our wait for our reservation. Who knows with low staffs and all that. There's probably a million reasons. Other than that, our waiter was Kevin and he was truly amazing. The food was great. Haven't been to a melting pot in 10+ years and my expectations going in wasn't the highest since I personally prefer Chinese hot pot over fondue. Regardless it was a fun experience going with a first timer, but during the valentine's day season is kind of the worst. We had reservations at 6:30 but didn't get seated until 7:15 since they were short a few servers that day and it was crazy busy. I wanted to be understanding of their situation but the 45 minute wait was a bit too much, I thought things can be handled better to accommodate the circumstance. Once we were seated though the service was great and our waiter was very friendly and helped explain everything to us. We ordered the complete experience for two that comes with a cheese, entree, and chocolate fondue along with a side salad. Everything was a very fun time but I personally don't think there was any value in the food itself and I wasn't terribly impressed by the quality either. The pieces of bread and cuts of meat that were served with the fondue tasted very average given the price that we paid for it, and nothing I had gave me a 'wow this tastes so good' reaction. We were seated in a romantic little booth perfect for two with a curtain if you wanted it to be a little more private. It's a fairly large space with a maze kind of seating. We had a fantastic waiter who really was familiar with the food. He helped us pick the perfect cheese fondue as an appetizer. We each had a different type of salad and were happy with our choices. We choose a beef and a vegetable platter to go with our broth. This was definitely the hardest to get the right cook for each item. We were coached on how to do it which was helpful. The cheese fondue at the beginning and the dessert at the end were definitely my favorite. There were so many different things to dip in the chocolate. I would have used whole or half strawberries instead of the tiny pieces we had but there were so many other wonderful little desserts it didn't matter that much. My son brought our family here for my birthday and we left hungry after spending $300.00... The cost for the food is ridiculous considering the amount you get is so minimal! I really left feeling ripped off.. honestly! The cheese fondue was out of this world - our server prepared it right in front of us with veggie broth, v cheese, spices and mixed. We dipped bread, soft pretzels, and veggie assortment. I was blown away it was incredible. I had a salad w/o chz, and we chose the Caribbean hot pot broth. I fondued vegan meatballs, veggie potstickers, potatoes, artichoke, onion, zucchini and mini peppers. I cant even honestly say which was my fave - all were soooooo good. The vegan chocolate fondue was BOMB!!! We dipped fruit into it. My fiance dipped Rice Krispies, marshmallows, pound cake and waffles in it. Went with my husband and daughter for Valentine's Day. They had a preset menu, which was $65.00 per person. It was our first time there but we've had similar experience with cooking for yourself like hotpot, Korean bbq etc. To start we had Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Cheese Fondue. It was good but I felt like it could have been hotter. It was warm but not hot enough. I turned up the heat but our waiter came by to turn it down just in case lol. Next we had a choice of Strawberry Almond Salad or House Salad. I chose the strawberry almond salad And it was amazing! I recreated it at home that week. Then for our Entrée - 1 Lobster Tail per Couple, Premium Filet Mignon, Teriyaki-Marinated Steak, Herb Crusted Chicken Breast, Shrimp Atlantic Salmon. People seem to love or hate this place. My BF & I went for our 1 year anniversary and enjoyed our night immensely. We each elected a create your own 4 course menu. Our cheese fondue was the cheddar choice and it was really good! The apples with the cheese were my fave. The salads were standard, nothing special but good. Our main course was the Court Bouillon, a vegetable broth, & it was pretty good. My one complaint about our meal was the smell of the broth. Kinda odd, but no bad taste. Came with some veggies & our proteins. There's quite a few protein options, including steaks, chicken, pork, and seafood. Even vegetarian options. Their accompanying sauces were great. Enjoyed the green goddess & sweet plum sauces the most. Would definitely like to try one of their other cooking methods next time. Finally, our dessert course was the best course. I have LOVED the Melting Pot for years. The atmosphere is intimate, the staff are attentive and make sure your every need is met, and the food is divine. No matter what the occasion is, you will feel special. It has been the location of many birthdays, ladies nights, anniversaries, date nights, and now where I got engaged (1/31/2025)! We have to give a HUGE shout out to Erik (the manager) and Chris (our waiter) for this romantic, joyful, unforgettable evening. Thanks to Erik, every detail was taken care of. He worked with my fiancé and set up a beautiful table full of roses, chocolates, and champagne and he even took photos and a video of the proposal for us! Throughout the night I was overwhelmed with joy and there were many happy tears shed. Erik brought me a bag of choice to wipe those tears and keep my make up intact: some classic TP, a package of paper towels, or a handful of kleenex. He kept the night light, fun, and cheerful. Obviously we enjoyed our food- that goes without saying. My go-to's on the menu is classic alpine (cheese), house salad, coq a vin and classic meat choice, and the original chocolate for dessert.
