I've always heard good things about the HH and wings here. My sister thought this would be a nice place to check out for my mom's bday. We made reservations which is definitely needed as it's a smaller place. The tables are a bit tight which gives me a bit of anxiety. Not a ton on the menu I can eat. My mom & sister split a steak, I got wings & fries. The infamous wings. I didn't too much care them honestly. They are well seasoned. Idk if they use allspice or what but the cinnamon-ish flavor throws me off. I don't mind a bit of sweetness but generally not my fave seasoning mix. Ranch is extra but it does help. I gotta boozy milkshake, creamsicle, it was good. Our waiter was very attentive and busy! They do have a complimentary parking lot which is amazing in this area!

Usually I love this place. Today the waitress was not very attentive. I went with a couple girlfriends we ordered wings, calamari and the beans. Had a Bloody Mary to drink. I LOVE these wings made with a dry rub. I was introducing my friends to them and one wanted ranch to dip them in. The waitress was no where to be found so we went to the hostess after a few minutes and asked her.The spicy green beans were delish. The calamari was like any other restaurant. The Bloody Mary was blah nothing rimming the glass and a browned celery stick was thrown in.

Beautiful ambience and fantastic, old-school menu and charm. Service was lovely and food was delicious. I had the walleye dinner and my date had mussels. The wine, salad, and bread were also wonderful. They have their own parking lot which is a huge plus in the north loop.

Monte Carlo is a great spot year round! I've been in the deep winter months and beautiful summer time, each experience has called for a different yet incredibly enjoyable. Most recently, I've had the salmon caesar salad which was great if you're looking for something very light. I wish it had a stronger caesar flavor but it was pleased for lunch. In terms of drinks if you like martinis this is your place. They will give you a martini with a mini shaker so you basically get 2 drinks in one. Such a great deal and they'll do martinis that aren't even on the menu considering they have the ingredients. The energy inside is very vintage romantic which is something you don't see a lot of in this area of minneapolis which tends to lean more modern. The patio is great and covered by umbrellas so nice on sunny day!

Nothing better than a round table at Monte Carlo. Wings and a sampler plate and a few Reuben's and we were happy. In summer enjoy the patio!

OMG. My first time at the Monte Carlo did not disappoint!! I stopped in for a drink and dessert and I will absolutely be back. Our server was so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We settled for the infamous French 75 and the chocolate cake. NO WORDS. the cake was so good I forgot to get a picture!

Service was great, ambiance was good as well (other than the table of 6 yelling in an entirely empty restaurant). My water glass was dirty and had food stuff on the rim which turned me off completely from drinking it. I ordered just the wings and boy was I disappointed. They are jumbo wings with a dry rub but spoiler alert, the dry rub is just salt and pepper. Heavy on the salt. The wings were so salty they started to burn the inside of my cheeks. The fries were good. Take any recommendation for a Minnesota eatery with a grain of salt (no pun intended). You're better off flying to Chicago for a decent meal. The music they play is nice. It calms you down after you're upset at the mediocre meal you've had.

A classic good time! Food is excellent, drinks are tasty, and setting is a step back in time. FOOD My husband and I split the appetizer sampler and each got a steak. The sampler is the way to go if you are even looking at two appetizers. The wings of course are delicious. The green beans were also incredible. The steaks were PERFECT. Cooked exactly to your preference. The salad was a little bland. We were too full for dessert. But the table next to us got a grasshopper and it looked so good! AMBIANCE The coolest looking bar in Minneapolis, in my opinion. The decor gives old school supper club. Red booths and floral wallpaper. SERVICE Definitely on the slower side.

This is my third time hitting up Monte Carlo, and I have to say, I'll never stray from their wings. Seriously, they've become my go-to in the city. Every time, those wings come out hot, crispy, and packed with flavor -- I'm already daydreaming about my next visit. The seasoning? Delicious. It's got a little sweetness, great blend of spices, and a whole lot of layers that hit you differently with each bite. It's like a flavor party happening in your mouth. I don't know what they do to these wings, but they're definitely doing it right. They've also got solid fries to go with it, and let's not forget about the chocolate cake. It's not the star of the show, but it's a nice little sweet ending to your meal. Honestly, the whole thing kind of feels like an adult-sized kids meal -- satisfying and comforting, but with a grown-up twist. If you haven't been, do yourself a favor and try it. You won't be disappointed.

If you can't find your cocktail here you are crazy.

Awesome bar and food. They make the standard superior. Great ambiance and fun crowd. Had the Salad Nicosia and egg salad (yes it was that good).

For sure there seem to be varying reviews for Monte Carlo, but I really like it. I very much appreciate their free parking, although it does get full at times. I also think that their host staff are always kind & professional, even though it does get a bit hectic there at peak times. The best part for me is the food. Everything I have tried at the Monte Carlo has been delicious and well prepared. I always seem to gravitate towards the Beijing wings which are always a favorite. I did also try the Sampler Appetizer Platter recently and it also did not disappoint. The cocktails are also innovative and well prepared.

Our first time dining at Monte Carlo fell a little short than expected. I'd heard so much about the food, and the the cocktails; it was on my bucket list for months. I was finally able to book a reservation for the indoor seating and while the food and drinks were indeed delicious, a few other points fell short for me. I found the menu to be significantly limited; a handful of sandwiches and main entrees. The bar menu is more vast than the dinning menu. I didn't order an appetizer as I had not done my homework about their famous chicken wings to try them. Nothing spoke to me and knowing my entré was served with their delicious house-made Cesar salad, our table passed on apps. For mains, we enjoyed the "Moules Frites" and the "Scallops Basilic". The Moules Frites were served with country bread and our choice of side; I opted the $3 up charge for a Baked Potato, but once it arrived at my table, I immediately regretted that decision; the potato was flavorless and bland. Literally, just a baked potato, no fixings. The mussels on the other hand were delicious. The broth the mussels were served in was well seasoned, warm and savory. The Scallops Bascilic dish was insanely delicious! The scallops were perfectly cooked, but what truly pulled the whole dish together was the garlic-y cream sauce that covered the entire bed of pasta. What made this experience less than phenomenal was the limited menu and the service which we found to be okay but not on-par with the type of establishment this is; service is a bit lack-luster as is the delays with drinks. I also wasn't too big a fan of how close together the tables were both indoors and outside. If you don't mind the lack of privacy on a casual date night or a girls night out, jump the broom and try them out. But if you're looking for a more intimate, romantic experience, I'd keep this one off that list. All in all, it was good, not great; still a fun night out in the North Loop complete with a good meal and okay drinks. I'd suggest a starter meal here and 1 round of drinks; lots of cool bar options nearby!

We stopped by on a Monday for drinks and something to eat and sat at the patio. Really nice ambiance with the trees and the umbrellas. Lots of people there after work. The prices on their website are outdated- everything is a bit pricier now. I ordered the root beer float cocktail (really unique!) and the cheeseburger with fries. Overall I thought the drink menu was good but a bit pricey with no happy hour, and the food menu to definitely be on the higher end- with even a plain ceasar salad costing almost $20. The root beer float drink was good, but I was disappointed that by the time it got to me the ice cream was almost completely gone and melted away. My burger was good as well and the fries were very crispy and perfectly salted. Our server was very pleasant and kind, but service overall was pretty slow. Drinks especially took a while to get out, and we placed our order before it had gotten busier.

Best Caesar in town... don't forget to ask for the anchovies:)

This spot is truly the whole package. The restaurant was much bigger than I expected which was also nice. It was too hot when we were there, but they also had a cute patio on the side of the restaurant. We got a TON of dishes as we were treating ourselves and here is what we thought of each... Empanadas - Perfect size, crispy dough, and FULL of meat. The sauce, mango salsa, and the aoli on the side were the perfect editions. Sweet Corn Agnolotto - Literally NO notes. There is a reason why this is all over theirs and visitors social media. It is fresh and bright, yet has an amazing depth of flavor. Asparagus - These were perfectly charred and bright. They didn't feel heavy at all which was awesome. Entrana - The main event and so dang good. Perfectly cooked, tender, and the flavor was excellent. We love steak and honestly do a pretty good job cooking it ourselves, but this is somewhere we would go for a good steak. This was my top meat choice. The chimichurri and Lla Jua sauces were a perfect pairing with this as well. Ribeye - This ribeye was also delicious! It was tender and juicy, and had good flavor. My fiance preffered this to the Entrana though we both loved them both. Papas Aplastadas - These were fried potatoes with bacon, cheese, and beurre blanc. They were good, but not great. Honestly, I think we just loved the other dishes so much that these didn't even get a fair chance. Though these had the most ingredients, I would say they were the least flavorful to me. Olive Oil Cake - Moist, but still dense and didn't really impress us much. I wished instead of the marscapone there was something lighter on top as it all felt heavy after a big meal. Sorbet - skip the vanilla. The honey lavendar was an absolute show stopper. Cocktails were also top teir and they had mocktail options as well!

The service was outstanding from start to finish. The staff was professional and knowledgeable, making the experience feel polished and welcoming. For drinks, we ordered the Southern Hemisphere (a refreshing non-alcoholic cocktail with the perfect balance of tart and sweet) and the 1929 Sour. From the Restaurant Week menu, we started with the dry-aged meatballs, which were surprisingly light and flavorful. For the entrée, we had the smoked salmon risotto. Unfortunately, it wasn't our favorite--it felt a bit bland and lacked the depth of flavor we were expecting. We also ordered a few items from the regular menu, and these ended up being the highlights of the meal. The lobster roll was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. The asparagus was another standout, cooked to the perfect balance of tender and crisp with a beautiful char that added great flavor. To finish, we shared the hot fudge sundae, which was rich, indulgent, and the perfect ending to dinner. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience, especially the impeccable service, elegant ambiance, and standout dishes from the regular menu. We'd definitely come back for the luxe atmosphere--and next time, we'll be ordering one of their steaks!

We began our meal with the roasted Brussels sprouts. Normally, I'm not much of a Brussels sprouts fan, but I happily cleaned the plate. My wife and I shared the 12-ounce filet mignon, cooked medium rare, and it was absolute perfection. Chef's kiss. David recommended a bottle of wine to pair with our steak. It wasn't inexpensive, but it was worth every penny. But wait... there's more. As incredible as that wine was with the filet, it somehow paired even better (yes, I know that sounds impossible) with the slice of heaven they call chocolate cake. I'm sure it has a much fancier name on the menu, but "slice of heaven" seems more accurate. If you've read my other reviews, you know I have a tendency toward hyperbole. If there were ever a time to lean into it, this is it. THIS MEAL WAS FANTASTIC. THE AMBIANCE WAS PERFECT. THE FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONAL. AND THE COMPANY WAS DIVINE. We will absolutely be back--and when we do, we'll be asking for a table in David's section. (He works Tuesday through Friday.)

I started with the tequila and mezcal Old Fashioned, and it was fantastic. It was well-balanced, beautifully presented, and garnished perfectly. The food was equally impressive. The wings were delicious--crispy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. My only small note would be that the celery was a little limp. The Caesar salad has officially been added to my regular rotation. The jammy egg was cooked perfectly with a rich, yolky center that was still easy to slice. The Parmesan crisps were thoughtfully sized, adding great texture without being so large they scraped the roof of your mouth. The salad was evenly dressed, making every bite flavorful. Overall, excellent food, outstanding cocktails, and warm, attentive service. I'll definitely be back.
