None of that American Chinese…read morefood;) It's a more upscale looking Chinese restaurant, and we love that they have big round marble lauriat tables with a lazy susan. We usually come with extended family and this is one place that has a big enough tank for 12. We were celebrating a birthday so ordered too much food for our group of 7. We also arrived early enough for dimsum. We ordered: Dimsum: Steamed Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls Shrimp & Chive Pancakes Steamed Soup Dumplings Steamed BBQ Pork Buns Sesame Balls Pan fried Shrimp Dumplings in Crispy Tofu Skin Steamed Pork & Shrimp Dumplings Siumai Shrimp Dumplings Ha Gao Baked BBQ Pork Char Siu Buns Peking Duck 2 Ways Yangzou Fried Rice Typhoon Shelter Fish Seafood Stir Fried Cantonese Noodles Salt & Pepper Octopus Szechuan-style Dry-Fried String Beans We havent found amazing dimsum in the Twin Cities but Jade Dynasty's dimsum is okay when you need a fix, which goes for all their options. They have a laminated menu and you mark what you want with a pen. The Peking Duck was good but really haven't had much to compare it with in the cities. Our favorite is the Typhoon Shelter fish - the crispy garlic is so good and it's our must order. The rest of the non-dimsum food we ordered taste authentically Cantonese and better than other Chinese restaurants around that we've tried.

We ordered: house special wings, Singapore noodles, shrimp egg foo yung, and sweet and sour pork. Everything was cooked well and the flavors were exactly what we were expecting. The sweet and sour sauce is house made and was delicious- we were glad to have ordered extra sauce! And the egg foo yung had a light and tasty brown sauce. The wings were tasty but I wish they had some crisp- they were quite soggy. The cost ended up being a little more than we were expecting, $70 for 3 entrees and an appetizer, but the food was quality and portions were generous. The Singapore noodles were 3 meals worth. Note: they will substitute fried rice for white rice with an entree, but it's a $5 upcharge per entree for a miniature carton of rice.

The building is beautiful and the ambiance is calming, my kids really love watching the fish in the mini pond. The robot waiter is also really fun! The price is fair (especially nowadays when everything is so expensive). We usually stick to our basic dishes when dining here so I can't say we've tried a broad range of things, but what we've had is always really yummy! Give it a try. :)

**** #1 VIET RESTAURANT ***…read more This place makes the best grilled marinated pork you'll ever have in your entire life. It is char grilled to perfection. This place also makes the best grilled pork banh mi. It is the same grilled pork sliced up as you would get in the entrées. The pho here is also spectacular. You can really taste the oriental spices in their beef broth. I normally do not order the pho from here because they do not have tendon on their menu. I usually get any entrée that has the grilled pork. This place also has the best wonton noodle soup or plain wonton soup. They the wine times are Housemade dumplings and they're absolutely delicious. This place also makes the best eggrolls the most fresh ingredients inside their eggrolls I've ever had in my entire life. Wow, was this place happen for lunch on a Monday packed to the max!

Their fried rice is really good, their pork in the bun cha gio is marinated nicely and tastes flavorful, and I like that they use the rice paper to make their egg rolls. Their nuc mam is close to how my mom makes it too (sweet, sour, and spicy)! The Banh kot is just okay.. it's supposed to have the same batter as banh xeo, but it's not the same. It's thicker, white, and doesn't really have much flavor. I wish the appetizer came with more lettuce too. I want to wrap it all up and dunk it in nuc mam, but I can only do that with 1 piece :( I will go back to try other things and get the bun dac biet again though.
