It's not just a restaurant, it's an event venue! Rose Garden is massive and the inside looked lovely (I just picked up takeout). We ordered: house special wings, Singapore noodles, shrimp egg foo yung, and sweet and sour pork. Everything was cooked well and the flavors were exactly what we were expecting. The sweet and sour sauce is house made and was delicious- we were glad to have ordered extra sauce! And the egg foo yung had a light and tasty brown sauce. The wings were tasty but I wish they had some crisp- they were quite soggy. The cost ended up being a little more than we were expecting, $70 for 3 entrees and an appetizer, but the food was quality and portions were generous. The Singapore noodles were 3 meals worth. Note: they will substitute fried rice for white rice with an entree, but it's a $5 upcharge per entree for a miniature carton of rice. read more

Rose Garden is a Chinese place that has an American Chinese menu AND a separate more authentic Chinese menu. I thought that was amazing to have that choice and separated. I think the authentic menu has to be asked for if you go during lunch. Very large space, can fit larger groups of people nicely. I had the Ma Po Tofu, they were able to make it without pork for the vegetarian. Also had the Singapore Noodles. The waitstaff understood we wanted it made vegan and he understood that which makes it easier to order vegan food. Our table had the pork dumplings, beef short rib, and a beef stew with a lot of gelatinous chunks. The food was hot and very good. If you are in the Northern suburbs and are looking for more authentic Chinese food, here is definitely a spot to check out. They also have the robot servers to bring out your food. We have been going to Rose Garden for a few years now and we're always happy with the food! We get pretty basic Chinese-American food (orange chicken, fried rice, etc) and it's so fresh and delicious. My son has an egg allergy so they're very accommodating with the fried rice! The building is beautiful and the ambiance is calming, my kids really love watching the fish in the mini pond. The robot waiter is also really fun! The price is fair (especially nowadays when everything is so expensive). We usually stick to our basic dishes when dining here so I can't say we've tried a broad range of things, but what we've had is always really yummy! Give it a try. :) read more

This place is different from any restaurant we've ever been to. It's a buffet, but they bring all the food to your table instead of having to get it yourself. Only problem is you don't know everything that they're gonna bring later, then you take dishes that you wouldn't have if you got the food off the buffet yourself. The food was great! The service however was beyond awful. I went with my mother and grandmother for lunch/dim sum. We first ordered our dim sum. We ordered the seared bbq pork buns, chicken feet, shumai(2 of each order), then we ordered our main courses to share. Including walnut shrimp, tripe veggies, salty chicken fried rice and deep fried fish. Normally, dim sum would come out first due to it being more of an app. We received the pork buns along with our main courses. Once I was done eating, they finally brought out the dim sum apps. We thought they forgot to put in the order and tried asking the waitress to cancel it. They brought it out anyways and the waitress was very rude about it. Giving us excuses as to why it took so long to come out. She made a comment to my mom, "well next time we can talk about it before you order." It already took us a while to order due to lack of presence your table. My mom is a regular here and knows Julie. So being treated this way is unacceptable. Poop garden I asked for my sesame chicken extra spicy and it just tastes sweet almost sugary. The cream cheese puffs have a horrible cream cheese to puff ratio. The egg roll tasted like a pine tree... I don't want Christmas in my egg roll. The fried rice isn't bad but I don't know how you would mess that up I will say mushrooms in fried rice is a little strange. I called and asked for something I had seen on TikTok (the garlic stems) and had trouble figuring out what it was called. They helped me get what I was after and made sure I got what I expected when they gave me my food. That being said it was all so dang good. The garlic scapes were delicious and flavorful. The venue is clean and convenient as it's located in the Coon Rapids suburbs instead of Minneapolis; it's located in a relatively large building so you can easily rent the event center to host weddings and banquets. The service is ok, and the food is fine. If we're comparing the food to a larger metropolis with a higher density of Asian population than I would say that the food is mediocre, but by Minneapolis standards it would probably be one of our better options. Overall the food is decent and their seafood is fresh as I've yet to get sick from eating any of it! So would recommend if you're craving Chinese food and are located in one of the northern suburbs, but not willing to make the trek into Minneapolis! read more

I love this restaurant, it has been upgraded considerably from their location on Coon Rapids Blvd. It's just off of CR Blvd and Hanson now. They serve generous amounts and it's always tasteful and delicious! Of course along with the ambience and upgraded updated restaurant are increased prices. But still worth the price! The have an unusual family style buffet for lunch where they walk around with the latest dish they just made. Only problem I see is if you really wanted a specific food it may not come around on the buffet. I must disagree with the gr8 reviews of this place. The food was very bland, tasteless and all vegetables/breading and very little meat. We went to the buffet on Friday and they were very busy. Price is $13.50 not including a drink. This buffet is served family style with waiters coming around with bowls giving u food but fairly inconsistently due to timing and a large scoop with a tiny piece of protein in it. The highlight was the lo-mein which was very good. The general taos chicken and a fingernail portion of chicken in a very large clump of breading. The fried chicken was all dark meat. Every choice within 10 mi is better than this place. Guess that is why they closed their store in Blaine. read more
