The Lotus and its owners feel like family -- the kind of place you walk into and instantly feel at home. Centrally located in Maple Grove and downtown, you can always expect unbelievable, freshly cooked food and great service from a staff that truly loves people. The sense of community reminds me of growing up with "Cheers" , a familiar, welcoming, and full of heart place you where everyone knows your name! The pho is incredible, the noodle and rice dishes are absolutely mouthwatering, and I've tried nearly everything on the menu. Don't miss the banh mi, the Lotus wings, or any of Mom's specials , just ask the servers.

Seafood noodle soup ingredients (before) & shrimp spring rolls

When temps drop in the negatives or single digits, what better way to warm up than a bowl of soup? I DoorDashed the seafood egg noodle soup and shrimp spring rolls. Soup was filling and provided the warmth I needed on a cold night. I had the spring rolls the next day and they were okay, probably better if I had them the night before. Would consider dining in if in Maple Grove (or ordering on DoorDash).

Got some takeout a couple of weeks ago, and I had heard such amazing things about this place. We ordered the Lotus Banh Mi and Chicken Stir-Fry Rice Noodles. The food is ready when we arrived, and the person at the counter was really friendly. They looked busy, and it was a Tuesday night, so that says something! Both dishes were good, but neither are things I would probably get again. The Banh Mi was fresh, but it seemed to be missing something. The noodles were tasty, but they didn't blow me away. We were happy enough with our food, and we will definitely give it another try! Eyeing the House Pho and the Spring Rolls.

Lunch special Pad Thai w. Chicken, pork egg roll and fried rice!

Great local joint for fantastic food and great prices! The lunch specials are the way to go! Food is excellent and service is solid for sure!

We had a wonderful lunch today. We met friends here for lunch today. They offer a $17.99 lunch special which I did try. You have your choice of 3 categories. I got for main entree chicken pad Thai, a fresh spring roll with shrimp and bbq pork and chicken fried rice. Plenty of food done to bring home. Others got pho and walnut shrimp. Everyone said their food was great. Only downfall was they do charge an 18% gratuity for groups over 6. It's ok I usually top 20% anyway. I'm sure we'll be back!!

    Surf and Turf Pho

The Surf and Turf Pho is absolutely amazing. It is expensive, but worth every penny. I presume it is intended for two people, but there's no fun in that. I ended with an empty big bowl. Lobster, shrimp, sausage, pork rib, beef, and some other seafood I can't remember.

For more than a few reasons I like this location a bit more than the Loring park location. One factor is the parking. Very easy to find a place to park since it's in a strip mall. We went for dinner on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy so we were able to get a table and service was prompt. I only ordered apps - veggie egg rolls and jalapeño wontons. The egg rolls weren't very flavorful & were a bit too greasy. I also tried the sesame chicken which was decent. I've had a few other dishes from here on other visits & it's always been good overall. They have decent lunch deals if you can catch it during the week.

Bun Bo hue, pho, lotus wings, grilled pork half bahn mi

Such a great food spot, wish we lived closer! We swung by during happy hour, and got the lotus wings which are a couple dollars off. Super crispy with sweet, sour, savory flavors!! We tried bun Bo hue soup, classic pho, and a bahn mi as well. Everything was really well balanced with delicious flavors - we particularly liked how strong the spices and herbs were, really flavorful broths! Our only mistake was ordering one of our soups size large - only do this if you want leftovers, the portion size is huge! Baby friendly as well, our car seat fit in the seat with us and we didn't feel uncomfortable if the little one made noise while we ate. The waitress confirmed they were short staffed, but apologized for our (honestly pretty short) wait times, and was perfectly helpful and kind the whole time. Make sure to check this place out!

Yellow curry entree with shrimp and chicken fried rice (4.5/5)
    Ryan S.

I got the yellow curry entree with shrimp and chicken fried rice (4.5/5). It was great! The curry sauce had a great flavor that complimented the shrimp and vegetables. It was a good amount of food for the price too! The menu has a lot of enticing options that I would like to try sometime. The service was good too (4/5)! The restaurant is nice (4/5) and pretty big, so it should hopefully be able to accommodate busy times without too much of a wait.

This is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants we've been going to whenever we are in the Maple Grove area. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, clean and pretty roomy with lots of seating. You have to try the Mama's Specials - the Bun Bo Hue and the Nem Nuong Spring Rolls are delicious! The cheese wontons were also super yummy! The service was friendly, everyone made you feel welcomed and the food was delivered quickly to your table. I highly recommend Lotus ...you won't be disappointed!

    Beef in garlic sauce

Went to The Lotus on a Wednesday evening around 7:15pm. Good amount of parking (strip mall), there is handicap parking out front, but the ramp is at the end of the sidewalk. We waited about 10 minutes for a table. The rug on the floor at the entry was a little dirty, but the rest of the restaurant was fairly clean. Host and servers were friendly. The employees seemed to be bustling and kept busy. They do have wine and beer, but we didn't have any. The food was decent, not super awesome. My partner had the iced Thai Tea and said it was good. The pork fried potstickers were not good. They were deep fried instead of pan fried so they were chewy and greasy, and there wasn't much filling. When the entrees came out there were no serving spoons (we eat family style) so we used the forks that were provided. The sesame chicken was good. Nice sauce, plenty on the dish. The beef in garlic sauce was ok. The sauce was very runny so it didn't really stick to the food. The meat was tender, plenty of vegetables, could probably use a little more garlic. My partner gave it 3 stars. He didn't like it.

    Famous pork eggrolls
    Marla K.

Best eggrolls in the Twin Cities! Maple Grove has plenty of parking and the restaurant is large. The prices are not great, especially compared to the Minneapolis location. Example: Minneapolis location has a lunch special for 12.50 that includes entree appetizer and a side like fried rice. Very affordable, right? At the Maple Grove location. The same lunch menu special was 17.99. You tell me which one you would choose! The only con of the Minneapolis location is that the parking is terrible! Very small lot. Anyway, I would go and get takeout from the Minneapolis location next time and save myself a ton of cash :)

We ordered several items and it is important to note that the food comes out as it is ready, which means food may not come out as you would normally expect. For example my main dish came out first, about ten minutes later my partner's food came out, then the appetizer arrived. This was not a problem for us, but others may be annoyed. We ordered #5 Banh Khot as an appetizer. This came out last, after the rest of our food. I would probably not order it again as it was a bit greasy and did not have as strong of a flavor as I would like. Very edible, just not what I had hoped. For my meal I ordered #15 Com Tam Heo Nuong, Bi, Cha and a lychee lemonade. The lychee lemonade was very good and had a lychee in the bottom of the glass. There is a sort of egg bake thing that came with the meal that was good, but not my favorite. The main meat and rest of the dish was so good, very flavourful. There was also a paler meat which was also good, kind of sour, but not my favorite part of the meal. It was a lot of food. I took home leftovers and ate an additional three meals. My partner had #20 Pho Dav Biet. This was amazing and very flavourful with lots of meat. If you don't like cilantro you should order it without as there is definitely some cilantro in the dish. Will definitely order this again. He also had a Thai Tea which he said was very good. The service was fast and very friendly. Our server was very informative and willing to help us decide what to have. Ambiance is light and pleasant. The restaurant is clean, but worn. We saw a lot of takeout orders go through while we were there and a steady stream of people coming to eat in. Several tables were full when we arrived, by the time we left it was nearly full. They have a fish sauce that appears to be house made(?). It is fantastic! The server said I should put a couple tablespoons on my dish, but it was so good we put it on everything! The restaurant is in a mini mall, so there was plenty of parking. I would say the parking lot is not very handicapped friendly as there was no ramp in front of the restaurant, nor close enough for me to notice. The restaurant itself is pretty handicapped friendly. All in all a very pleasant experience. We will be back.

I don't like the lean beef versions because the meat can leave some impurity in your broth as it cooks. The brisket is tender and flavorful. The regular size is a good enough portion to get you full. Broth is perfect. Such a satisfying bite.

Compared to other places, this boba cafe is slightly more expensive, but because of the quality of the drink, I would say the price is worth it. There was another drink that sounded similar to the strawberry milk tea, so I asked a staff member. They seemed really uninterested and didn't really give me a clear answer. I assumed that they didn't know and asked another staff member only to get the exact same reaction and still not receive a clear answer. I had to search it up and finally I figured out the difference. The ambiance of this store might be my favorite one ever. There is a huge painting on a wall near the entrance that is so welcoming.
