It is in the shopping mall area, so it's very convenient for parking and for visiting other places before or afterward. The spring roll is huge and fresh. The veggie dish is average, which is totally fine. The Thai noodles are very spicy, even for someone like me with a high tolerance for spice. I asked for a medium level, but it was still very spicy. The server was very nice and welcoming. He asked us about our preferred spice level for each dish. The place is spacious, but quite dark. I will forever be a Sawatdee super fan! Every location is great, but my favorite is Maple Grove! The staff have always been friendly and quick and the food is served fresh with efficiency! My family and I have been going to Sawatdee since I was a kid, I've tried many items from their menu, my go to is always the chicken satay (with the peanut sauce AND cucumber sauce), the fresh veggie spring rolls, also dipped in the cucumber sauce, the Pad Thai, Pad see Yew, or Spicy Noodles! The service was the worst Ive had in my 68 years on this earth. It took a LOOOONG time just to get the food. They served the food, and we had no silverware, so it sat there getting cold in the freezing air conditioning. I had to go into the Kitchen after 4 minutes to demand silverware ... and we still had to wait. The food was good, however in my Seafood Delight, I found some UNdelightful soggy shrimp. SOGGY SHRIMP! My second time trying this place and it was as disappointing as I remember. My friend and I met for an early dinner around 4. She ordered a Blackberry mojito. It was happy hour and they were already out of Mint. There was only one other table of people there besides us. I ordered the Catfish curry and was told they were out of Catfish as well. Our server suggested the Salmon curry so I decided to give it a try. I was very disappointed with the dish. The Salmon tasted like it was sitting in the freezer for a long time. I was feeling sick and for the last 28 hours and had nothing to eat as I was dog sitting. I ordered chicken pad Thai and fresh spring rolls. Both were tasty and I ate the spring rolls in like 5 minutes I was that famished. The pad Thai was equally as delicious and I ordered mine medium spice level which was perfect. My only gripe was I wish I would have ordered more dipping sauce for my spring rolls but that's my fault. I used to love Sawatdee-it was a lively, modern, and energetic Thai restaurant. But wow, has it gone downhill. The place is in serious need of a remodel; the entire restaurant feels and looks worn out. I'm not sure if ownership has changed or if it's been passed down to the original owner's kids, but they really need to reinvest in the space. The food is still decent, though it can sometimes lack flavor depending on what you order. That said, my rating is almost purely based on the atmosphere. Ordered vegetarian Pad Thai and vegetarian Supenn's Fresh Spring Rolls through GrubHub, and when they arrived both were wrong. The spring rolls came with shrimp and chicken in them and I was able to get a refund through GH. I started eating the Pad Thai and realized a few bites in that there was chicken hidden within the noodles. I couldn't submit another help ticket, so I'm stuck with $25 worth of food I can't even eat. When Sawatdee gets the order right, the food is delicious - but at this point it just isn't worth the risk, especially if you have dietary restrictions or allergies. More often than not, your order will not be correct. Edited to add: The last time I had an issue like this, I called the store for resolution - all they said was "sorry, it won't happen again" and no offer to make it right. read more

We had to wave someone down for water refills. Never checked on us after food was delivered. Had to go find him to get boxes and our bill. Not crunchy like I had expected. Duck- overcooked and tough. Came with a side of jalapeño soysauce. Just salty, no depth of flavor. It was a sad looking duck. :( Wonton soup- lukewarm, soggy wontons. Just kind of just disintegrated in my mouth. Wings- meh. Pad see ew- beef was tough, very chewy. Dish was lacking that smoky flavor I look for in a good fried noodle dish. Just soy sauce. They're clearly understaffed. They have a sign stating this & a robot delivers your food. I'm understanding of this. But to never check on the table after the robot delivers the food isn't great either. We couldn't get water refills until our check was brought to the table & there was only about 6-8 tables occupied. The robot needs some kinks worked out as well. Twice we heard giant crashes of dishes onto the floor. I think it has issues going from carpet to tile. As for the food, the spring rolls are delicious. Pad Thai was good. Cashew stir fry was predominantly water chestnuts. I ordered as a spice level 2, and the spice was virtually non existent. Probably opt for something different next time. read more

I was told that part of the restaurant wasn't open--but it was within the time they should be open--granted it was close, so no big deal on that. I wanted sashimi and that is all. When I ordered I said the reddest tuna you have, hamachi and salmon. I asked for yuzu they had no idea what it was. Not that big of a deal but when I got my order I was disappointed. I asked the server I ordered from just for reference how much sashimi would there have been on the sashimi platter And they didn't know the answer. Menu said chefs Selection of 5 types of fish...and would be served with miso for the platter...server didn't suggest the platter--just an order taker who didn't even know the menu or the fish. Still not one of my favorites for Thai food. Decided to give them a try after many years avoiding them based on previous poor experiences with service. This visit didn't do much to change my mind. No service problems, but the food is just ok and the space is pretty boring. We started with Egg Rolls (meh) and the Sarong Sawatdee Special which is ground chicken wrapped in noodles and deep fried. It used to be a tightly wrapped ball, but this time was more spread out. The result is that it all fell apart when you tried to cut into it so that we ended up with a huge pile of fried noodles on the plate when we were done. My wife had the Shrimp & Scallops in Gralic Sauce which she always gets and continues to like. There's a good amount of seafood in the dish. I had the Shrimp Pad Thai and found it to be overly sweet and drowning in sauce. I'm not going to rush back. read more

Stopped for dinner and was seated right away. Plenty of seating, tables and booths. They're low on staff so wait time for food took longer than normal. However food was amazing! Pad Thai was perfect! The egg rolls were my favorite. It's definitely a large size with a crunchy wrap, stuffings had a good mix of meat and some vegs. Paradise wings (stuffed chicken wings with bean thread noodles and meat) was so good! There wasn't too much of the meat or vegetables but a good mix of both. Comes with a sweet sauce that goes pretty well with the wings and egg rolls. The wonton soup was ok, small amount of broth loaded with vegetables, meat and wontons. I prefer a more brothy wonton soup. There's only street parking, I was lucky to score one right by the door. It was my first time here and the restaurant welcomed showcasing a banner of awards. I had a lot of expectations as my team members were of high praises for this place. We didn't have any waiting time and were seated right away for lunch. The menu was detailed and for the first time I was amazed to see a Volcanic Hot for level 5. I ordered a Curry styled Thai fried rice and we were a group of 10 people with each ordering mostly a fried rice. We waited, waited and waited and finally our orders came through. I went with a Medium Hot since i didn't want just crushed peppers to be thrown over my food for the level 5 heat. The food quantity was size-able and moderately tasty, but the medium hot was not even mildly hot. We were done eating and ordered for check and again we waited, waited and waited and finally it came through. Sawatdee is That cusine & Zushiya is sushi and other Japanese favorites. Sake Flight: I order a sake Flight which came with 3 different Sakes. It was really fun sampling & trying different kinds. The Tyke Coconut was fun & very coconut forward! One tasted like melon & the last was more earthy but delish. I love sake & trying new ones. Fresh Spring Roll: they are Stuffed with shrimp, chicken, crisp fresh vegetables & noodles. This was on the Happy Houe menu which goes from 4pm-6pm. These were great & a perfect way to start off the mean! Sushi & Boat: the sushi is really solid & the boat was a cool experience. I enjoyed eveything we had. Boat was $60 for 2 ppl & comes with 3 kinds of sashimi, 2 specialty rolls, and 3 nigiri. I also got the hit sake which & we did a sake bomb! It was a super fun time & the service was great! Originality doesn't always mean the food will be good. But I'll tell ya that here, that rings true. It's fantastic! My party ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Shrimp Pineapple Fried Rice, and Toam Kha Gai  I had the Pad Thai, which was among the best I've eaten. Sweet and savory, it has many fresh, herbal notes and an incredible nuttiness throughout the quality noodles. The fried rice is to be enjoyed by fans of tropical tastes and seafood, but was very fresh. Toam Kha Gai is Chicken and Coconut milk soup with Lemongrass and plenty of mushrooms. Also , there was a mess up with our order and was added to our bill at the end and felt like no accountability on the mess up from their end (it was fixed eventually).
