My husband took me here for my birthday. Our server greeted us with a smile, was very attentive. There was a warm ambiance that helped us relax. The salad bar was filled with great looking food like various lettuces, tomatoes, shrimp ceviche, mozzarella balls, cherry tomatoes and much, much more. The server explained how the meat portion of the meal worked by making sure that we displayed the green part of the stick if we want to try meats. We turned it over to display the green and soon waiters came by with the various meat options like lamb, sirloin, chicken, sausage, fish, Tri-tip, and their delicious grilled pineapple. I walked into this restaurant thinking it would be just like Fogo de Chao or Bullvino's. It definitely was in the fact that this was a Brazilian steak house, but everything else felt different. The restaurant was in part of the mall, so it seems like it would be a great place to eat then go shopping from, but it still has the ambiance of other steak houses. The server was very nice, but it did take a while for us to get any service at our table. I put this more on how busy it was, rather than the server being negligent. The salad bar was a bit lackluster for me. It was nice that the sides were all up there free to grab, but this made them less fresh. The Pão de queijo is one of my favorites, here it was less crispy, but still somewhat satisfying. The lack of smoked salmon was a let down for me, as I love that as well. You do get a lot more pastas though, so that was nice. I made the mistake of expecting to enjoy all the same cuts of meats I enjoyed at other steakhouses. What I typically enjoy are the chicken hearts, garlic steak, pepper steak, and other beef. I found these to be rather bland. I usually skip the chicken and pork dishes, but switched it up when the others weren't doing it for me. These were much more flavorful, so I would recommend going in with an open mind and trying everything. We have been so different Brazilian steakhouses and decided to try this one in maple grove. Let's just say great choice! First instead of coasters that has red on one side and green on the other side they use a two sided stand. There is one per table instead of a coaster per person. When you're done eating you put it on its side to say you're ready to get the check. Really nice. This restaurant is nice inside and feel brighter than fogo de chao or bolvino. Loved it. You don't automatically get the bread , mashed potatoes, polenta and banana at your table. Those are at the salad bar. I'm fine with that. The salad has different options than its competitors but very delicious. We were happy with the options. The meat itself was super good. They also have very delicious pineapples. Went for a fancy dinner with my sister. The meats were plentiful and it was nice to have fish options, chicken hearts, etc. The salad bar was nice but the one at fogo is higher quality. Their cheese bread was really good though, they got me with those lil rolls. They sat us in a busy area but my sister politely asked for a bit of space which we were granted. Dessert is separate and not cheap. It was a good experience overall but I saw complaints about service which I agree with. Our waitress completely disappeared after we paid the tab even though we would've liked drink refills and had to flag down the hostess to get takeaway boxes for our food. Would I go again? Probably. Was it worth like 170 bucks for 2 people? Maybe if you're not willing to make the drive but fogo is clearly better. Fogo even has the lobster tail and dessert options with the meal that would make the bill pretty similar to the one here. The only redeeming part of this place is the gauchos and they deserve every cent of the tip. Poised, attentive, and exceptional, they completely outshined the rest of the experience. Michelle R. is hands down one of the worst waitresses I've encountered. She never checked on our table, never refilled our drinks, and barely acknowledged us after seating us. Instead, she spent the entire meal catering to the large group behind us while we were ignored. When we finally asked for our check, she had the nerve to ask if we wanted dessert as if we'd want to stay after being treated like an afterthought. Beyond Michelle, the hospitality staff as a whole needs serious improvement in work ethic and customer service. Ignoring guests and lacking basic attentiveness is unacceptable, especially for a restaurant that claims to be "premium." Save your money. The grilled pineapple was not sweet even with the glaze on it just sour. The selections tonight for meat were a coconut fish, tri-tip steak, top sirloin, sweet and spicy chicken, bacon wrapped chicken, garlic beef, glazed ham, parm steak, sausage, and Picanha which I didn't get offered till after 20min of trying other things. Which is surprising because it's the signature meat. The meats were very under seasoned and the medium rare was almost always well done. The service was pretty good attentive to drinks forgot lemons for my water but after the second ask they came. They did not offer to switch my dirty plate out. The dessert I tried was basically a doughnut with ice cream, it was very good had good flavor and texture was good. The ice cream seemed unnecessary but it was good. The ambiance is the same loud and friendly overall. The tables don't have table cloths just placemats, and they flatware wrapped in a npkinIt has been a pretty decent experience. I've been to many "Brazilian SteakHouses" before, and the majority of them are usually identical to one another. You got the servers running around with meats on metal sticks (never knew what they were called), You got your normal grilled pineapple with cinnamon, the salad bar. However Rodizio was different. At the Salad bar, they had a section where you can get "hot food" items, from what I remember, there was a Stew, Bacon, and a chef's special. I don't know what it's called, but it was amazing...Shredded Potato, with cheese and a lot of butter. As you sit down with the food you got from the salad bar, waiting for servers to arrive to give you a cut of meat, you get to listen to some music playing in the background. Nice theming! The Ambiance was pretty nice, considering that there weren't that many people there when we arrived. (Although there was a lot of people who came as we were finishing up!) Speaking of the food, they had something I've never seen in most "Brazilian Steakhouses" they had "Parmesan Meat" aka grilled meat with Parmesan sprinkled all over it. Another food item I don't see is the sweet and spicy chicken, spice wise? It was roughly your normal buffalo wings. 4/5 stars! Only complaint? I have been here multiple times over many years, however this past experience was one of the worst times eating out I have possibly ever had. Our server who had a very short bob, possibly russian, couldnt have veen less attentive if she tried. Had to flag her down more than once for refills, she never once checked in with us on food. The salad bar was lackluster, rice and au gratin potatos were cold, deviled eggs dry, and the polenta was hard and crispy as if they had been there for hours. We come mainly for the Pichana and we never were served it once, despite requesting it twice. We however were served with garlic beef not once, not twice, not even three times but 4, FOUR in a row before any other beef options were shown, which was only a tri tip. 3 times in a row they tried to give us chicken hearts and ribs, never once did they give us any beef/specialty meet that is shown on the website. This has nothing to do with the men serving the meat, they were a pleasure, however the server and the kitchen manager in charge on 6/23/26 made it seem like they had no regards for their customers, let alone their restaurant considering I recommend this place to almost hundreds of people, however this visit I almost want to tell everyone to steer clear and save their hard earned money if this is the customer service and experience that is expected now, definitely a decline as to the great place it used to be, what a disappointing dinner and waste of hard earned money. First time visiting Rodizio, and I think it is better than Fogo De Chao in my opinion. The tables are less crawled and there are more room to go around to the salad bar. The price is much friendlier than Fogo, but the meat options are less. The servers are friendly. We did the full experience. The table has a red and green bricks and. once we flip the brick to green, the meat just kept on coming. All of the things we tried was very good. The meat are cooked in the good temperature and the seasoning is not over powering. The lamb was a little dry to my liking. The server was over right away and explained how it works which is similar to every other place of this kind except they don't have individual signal for the meats but one for the table. The salad bar was on par with other establishments of this kind. The sides were actually buffet style on the salad bar as opposed to being brought to you table. I think that made the sides a little less fresh. Especially the bread. On to the meats. Overall the red meats that I had were a little on the well done side than medium. Not all were very flavorful. I went before the dinner rush just as they had opened so it was nice and quiet. In the past there was a filled hand sanitizer dispenser at the front of the line. I missed that this time. This is the 3rd Brazilian steakhouse I've been to in the metro area. This one is my new favorite. We went for Sunday brunch and they had the salad bar along with some breakfast favorites like French toast, eggs and bacon. The service was quick and efficient. I highly recommend the garlic beef and parm beef/ pork. The nice thing about this place is they have sides and sauces on the salad bar area so you can self serve whenever you need more. They came and apologized and gave us a clean plates again!!! so This was our first bad experience! We order our food and all that, when we asked for refills for our italian sodas, we were told they no longer do refills for this drink!!!! which was surprising because the first time we came was like two months ago. Met up with a friend for the extended restaurant week back in 10/28. When heading towards the entrance, we were greeted by staff and they had sanitizers available before entering the actual dining room/hall. Masks are required when walking/moving around the space. Ordered the mango limeade which was refreshing to drink! I usually order the original but other flavors were delicious too! The salad bar was open. However, only staff is allowed to grab the food offerings from the salad bar for the diners. That was to reduce covid spread. Good variety from the salad bar and the meat variety were all delicious! This is the #1 place I wanted to try after wrestling season and it could not have been better. Me and a friend went on a Monday night and definitely ate our moneys worth in food. I took a picture of every cut of meat I had and now I have well over 20 extra pictures in my phone. My favorite meats were the lamb which had a very nice gamy flavor and any of the chicken. Normally I wouldn't want to waste stomach space on chicken because I have so much of it at home but this was by far the best chicken I've ever had. But I tried every meat they had and you can't go wrong with any of them. My favorites from the salad bar were the polenta, cheese balls, and the coconut coleslaw. The polenta had a nearly sweet flavor and were perfectly crispy. Also get as much of the pineapple as you can. The service was also amazing. This restaurant is set up similar to Fogo De Chau where it's all you can eat. There's a large salad bar and waiters that come around each table with different meats and grilled items. Be prepared to not eat anything the whole day if you're coming here because you'll be stuffed! There's a huge variety of meats and some unique things too that I haven't seen at other restaurants similar to this one. I loved the selection and the quick service here. You get filled up fast with the meat so don't forget to pace yourself! Every worker was accomodating and made sure our waters were always filled and our needs were met. I just want to warn everyone who is recommended by the staff to "write a 5 star review and you will get 10% off your check". That is a bribe and do not fall for it. If you write a review in the restaurant, they will immediately be able to see it, and if it is not 5 stars they will not reward you. Tonight we had a party of 8-10 and the server was nice but her remembrance of orders was kind of poor. She forgot to get my dads drink and we had to ask 3 different times. This happened with 2 other people's drinks. The drinks we asked for that I am referring to were WATERS. After we got our bill, our waitress came over and asked if we could leave a 5 star review with her name and we would get a 10% deduction off of our bill. We didn't really think anything of it until we wrote an HONEST review, which was 4 stars, and showed it to her that we completed the review and she denied to give us the 10% tip. She was rude about it and later on when she returned the card after paying. She said "The review is to give us positive attention and to make our business look good. Writing bad reviews doesn't help and we don't ask you for that." This is obviously insensitive to tell a customer that wrote an honest review of your place that their opinion shouldn't be shared. It always astounds me how many people haven't been here. On a very basic level, this may be a cultural thing. A lot of Americans eat in a way that is time sensitive, that is, we tend to want our food right away, eat it quickly, and move on to the other responsibilities of the day. I would suggest altering that approach toward a more social experience, and enjoying all that Rodizio has to offer...and they have A LOT to offer. The salad bar is filled with Brazilian and American classics, and is probably underappreciated. It shouldn't be. There is much to pique your interest. But let's be honest, the real reason we all go to these places is to get steak wasted. They have a lot of variety, and if there is something you want specifically, they'll make sure they get it out to your table promptly. This includes to your desired doneness, so don't give too much credence to other reviews that make it seem as though you get what they offer and nothing else. Do not skip the grilled pineapple either, as you will be drooling for more throughout the meal. No question about it, this place is expensive compared to a lot of lesser-quality restaurants. Keep this in mind, though: If you go to a mid-tier steakhouse and order a mid-tier steak, you're already approaching the cost of the entire buffet at Rodizio. In a word-- boring. We last ate here probably 10 years ago, and the food has definitely gone downhill since then. We went on Father's Day as I had a birthday coupon for one free dinner which the waitress said she couldn't honor because they had a Father's Day dinner going. She then disappeared pretty much for the rest of our meal. The food-- well, the salad bar was a disaster... dried out, ordinary olives, so-so gourmet salads, and hardly any of the options they list on their menu were available. The prime rib was overcooked and dry, the lamb claimed it was marinated in mint and wine but there was no indication of that, the bacon wrapped chicken had no bacon flavor whatsoever, the grilled fish was overly soft and a bit fishy, the "spicy chicken" had no heat at all and tasted like it was coated in a store bought marinade, and the chimichurri steak (which should have been their specialty) had no taste at all. The one and only courses we could recommend would be the garlic chicken or the grilled pineapple. The noise level also didn't help at all as we could barely hear our waitress, and we often had to ask the gauchos two or three times what they were offering at the table. read more

What can I say? Unimpressed. If you have not been to a Brazilian Steakhouse, also known as a churrascaria, you may think Rodizio is a gift to a meat lover from above. How could you turn down endless cuts of beef, pork, lamb, chicken and sausage being served right to your table? Not to mention a sizable salad bar with around 45 options. And all of this coming in at a cost about 1/3 lower than the competitor in downtown Minneapolis, Fogo De Chão. So, here's the problem. If you HAVE been to a churrascaria, such as Fogo, you know just how jaw dropping amazing it can be. Everything from the number of options to the quality of those options and the impeccable service. Unfortunately Rodizio just doesn't stack up. Sure, it's a few bucks cheaper but personally I would spend a few extra dollars for a more superior experience and I live in Maple Grove just blocks from Rodizio. What I liked: About half of the meats were outstanding. Tender meats that were cooked to perfection. What I didn't like: About have the meats were outstanding. Why weren't all of them? A lot of the options were way over cooked and tough. Generally you can ask for a temperature preference but with a lot of the selections you got well done and that's it. I was also not pleased that there were zero sides at the table. If you wanted any side whatsoever you had to make a trip to the salads bar. Things like potato's and biscuits should be at the table. I guess they couldn't boast the number of salad bar selections if they did that. Speaking of the salad bar, I didn't even partake. All selections looked underwhelming and frankly just sad. It wasn't well kept and messy. The tradition salad items looked to be welted and not fresh. Things like potatoes and rice looked burned from sitting in warmers all day. Not fresh at all. Lastly, we went a little later at night. Around 8:15. The place was only about 30% full but almost every empty table was in need of busying. After a 20+ minute wait, along side another couple that had been waiting even longer while they cleaned all the empty tables we were finally seated. They have a buffet as well where you get all the other food like salad and potatoes, rices, cheeses, veggies, etc. Their little Brazilian cheesy bread is very delicious! The sweet and spicy chicken is one of the most delicious things, as well as the garlic steak, but the food item that takes the gold is the grilled pineapple. The server Katie R. was one of the worst servers I've ever had this was my first time trying Rodizio Grill and we had an appointment at 7:30 but we had to wait 15 min to be seated by the time we were in our table it was 7:50isshh. We told the server this was our first time at Rodizio Grill and she didn't tell us the cooks stop cooking the meat at 8:30, I wish she would've told us because for me it's not worth $50+ just to be served for 30 min of steaks and we weren't able to try all the steaks. We also had to tip over $100 because our party was greater than 6 people and she didn't even bother checking up on us, we had to get up and ask her to refill our drinks. It was also 2 of my friends birthday, we asked the waiter if she could ask the crew to sing them happy birthday, but she didn't tell us she was going to bring 2 cheesecakes and that WE were going to get charged for them.
