Greta ambiance, love the workers and the service was amazing always helping. Food was better than other steakhouses and love the Texas steak!

It seemed pretty family oriented at first - almost warming. I asked for medium rare, got well done. I returned it and was given attitude, which I disregarded. Then when I got my medium rare steak, it came out looking absolutely DISGUSTING! It looks like the steak had been sitting out for hours in water or something, then thrown on the grill to warm up. (See attached picture). I decided not to complain, because it seemed that was the "best" they could already do. I suppose it was my fault for going to try and support a place called "Best Steak House." Never coming here again, and do not recommend it.

Not bad for a quick, inexpensive steak dinner. I appreciate the old school feel run by a family who takes pride in what they do. It shows in the service and the way the food is prepared. Sure, its not the most appealing decor inside, but I didn't expect it to be. I've driven by this place countless times. I'm glad I finally wandered in. The steak is not bad. Tender, juicy, wonderful flavor and very filling! Will certainly be back to satisfy my needs for some occasional red meat!

T-bone steak, medium well-done. Comes with a baked potato, buttered toast and salad.

I wouldn't put it as one of my favorites as far as smash burgers goes but it had me feeling satisfied and full when leaving. Prepare for a mess if you order one - gooey saucey and greasy! All of our food came out quickly and tasted great. We started with the chili cheese fries and the gem lettuce salad. For our main meals, we had the happy hour burger (a must-try) and the poutine. We both left completely stuffed.

The space itself is beautiful with a really cozy ambiance, and the patio is a great option when the weather is nice. The drinks are absolutely the star of the show. You can tell there is so much intention behind both the flavors and the presentation. The cocktail menu is super creative, and the Old Fashioned menu alone is phenomenal with so many unique options. The Beorn Old Fashioned was my favorite. We also tried the Payanello (pineapple, lime, ginger, pickled jalapeño) and it was incredible. Food was fantastic as well. The brussels sprouts were so good and a must order. Service was amazing. Our server was so kind, helpful, and gave great recommendations, which made the whole experience even better. It is on the pricier side, especially for drinks, but honestly worth it for the quality and experience. Reservations are easy to make and I would definitely recommend booking ahead. Parking was manageable when we went, but I could see it getting tricky during busier times. Overall, such a beautiful, thoughtfully done space with incredible drinks, great food, and top tier service. A perfect spot for a night out or just grabbing a cocktail and soaking in the vibe.

Before we even got there, we could smell this place, a GREAT sign! The hostess was lovely and guided us to our seats right away! The first thing I noticed was the decor is slightly dark and moody! Perfect for a romantic date! Plenty of candles flickering on each table! The kitchen is open, so it was fun to watch! Our only complaint is that the tables are fairly close together and a 2 person table is so small! It kept us from ordering more food, because there would be no place for it to go! Our server was nice. She originally forgot our drinks but admitted it and got them right away. We appreciated the honesty. Our water glasses were always full, we were given wet naps after our delicious wings and plates were taken promptly! Food: We each started with a drink. I got the banana bread old fashioned which may just be my favorite cocktail! My boyfriend got a beer and said it was "ok." We started with the truffle fries and smoked wings in the flavor rum chili. Holy moly! Both of those were spectacular!!! The ranch was just ok, I would probably get the blue cheese next time. Truly though, you don't need to dip these wings, the flavors are amazing on their own!! For our main course, we got the 14oz New York strip steak cooked to a perfect medium and the scallops! Both were out of this world! Very well done! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone! It is truly a gem in the cities!

We were told that the mussels were a must get, and I can not restate this enough. The mussels are a MUST GET. They were unbelievable and SOOO many mussels. Our waiter Andy was truly outstanding. We really aren't picky eaters and we just asked Andy to assemble dishes for us to get a good tasting of the menu while staying in a certain budget and he exceeded it. We had the sweet corn agnolotto and it was truly out of this world. Just truly loved this dish. Creamy, flavorful and so perfect. We had a few Argentinian steaks and the one was Gorgonzola cream was truly incredible. You just get the papas bravas and the mushrooms were just delicious as well. If you are a vegetarian, you will have sooooo many options here that are so satisfying. You can not skip dessert, the gelato was our favorite. The wine selection is incredible. This place does get busy so definitely keep that in mind. Luckily I made reservations ahead of time so we had a table waiting for us, otherwise we would have been put on a waiting list since it's a small space. They put us in a corner booth which was nice and spacious enough for 4 people so I'd definitely recommend asking for a booth verse a table if you're planning to come with a larger group. The servers are all very friendly and helpful. I appreciated their attentiveness and sharing what they like best, especially for what's in season based on the time of year. The menu has quite a bit of variety too which is sometimes unexpected when you come to a pub-style location. For appetizers we got Onion Ring and Fried Pickles. They were both really good and served with dipping sauces. Definitely both shareable items so if you're in a group they'd be great options! My entree I chose the Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon served with lemon soy marinade, creamy cucumbers, and jasmine rice -- it was SO good!! I loved the creaminess of the cucumbers especially with the rice and than the lemon soy marinade was just a unique touch to the salmon. Toned the flavors down without overpowering acidity. And the salmon was so dreamy, a beautiful pink color that you just knew it wasn't a farm raised salmon. Plus the portion was very generous!! I'd definitely recommend the Alaskan Sockeye Salmon to anyone interested in visiting here. #eatwildsavewild The only negatives (which are more so just knowledge bombs for you): * Restaurant is VERY loud. It's hard to hear because it is one small room that everyone plus the bar is in. I wished I would have took a picture to show what I mean. Just know that if it's an intimate setting you're looking for this is not the place. So be prepared to talk loudly over the loudness and ask "excuse me?" or "repeat that" many times throughout your visit because you're not going to hear everything. * Timed eating. Because this place is a hit with limited seating, once you get a table and complete your meal/payment you'll kindly be asked to leave so that they can clean up and open the table to next in line. Totally get that and am not put off by this at all, but I could see how it could catch some folks off guard especially if you are out for a meal with folks you may not see frequently-- so just keep that in mind. This is not the place to sit and talk post meal. * Parking is limited. Be prepared to walk a few blocks as the road parking in front of the business is pretty limited especially with the other stores and restaurants in the area. Regardless of those few bullets I highly recommend folks visit George & The Dragon. It's a really cool spot and the food was great! Plus theirs a malt shop right next door that looks yummy too, so definitely worth visiting and getting malts after for dessert.
