Was recommended this place by a local for a nice dinner. The menu has a mix of sushi, Chinese, and American food so a little bit of everything to anyone. However, it is a little on the higher end I ended up picking tuna nigiri, the pink panther roll which is pictured below and chicken fried rice. The tuna was very tender and fatty but the rice itself just failed apart so pretty difficult to eat it cleanly. The pink panther roll was exceptional and had an aioli sauce on top that complemented the roll well. The chicken fried rice was salty but the chicken was cooked to perfection. The dish itself presented really well but just really wasn't my favorite. The saltiness was just too overpowering. The service was good but not great. Was looking for the sever to check out for quite a while. The restaurant itself was super elegant and had many high end finishes. It's been 2 months since I've been here; now everywhere I go, as long as the flavor of protein is a step above Crave, I'm doing alright. The experience of the spare rib and the steak topping was so awful, I wanted to throw up right then and there. I'll never forget how game-y and bland the flavor was. Can't beat their happy hour. Not many places have happy hour on Friday's, especially not until 6pm. Service in the bar area is usually good, even if you sit at one of the tables and not directly at the bar. I've always enjoyed this location, it's close to home and provides a more, "fine dining" experience than some of the other run of the mill chains in the area. I think this is considered a fusion restaurant, there are a mix of classic American, Asian, Italian options to choose from. I enjoy their sushi, a lot of options and made fresh right at the kitchen bar area. I've had burgers, pasta and other entrees...never been disappointed. They offer the brunch buffet for special occasions, it's a little more spendy but really good. Overall, glad they are in the Maple Grove Restaurant scene! read more

Didn't realize it would be $3.99 for lemonade plus $1.00 for strawberry syrup. Guess I should have asked. On Monday they have two sushi specials. You can get 3/$30 or a different selection at 3/$45. I went for the first. It tasted like grocery store sushi. With one in our group celebrating their birthday, they received a very generous dessert; brownie with vanilla ice cream, fudge and sprinkles. Our family of 8 came to celebrate 4 birthdays happening this month and I highly recommend Crave for a birthday dinner! We made a reservation in advance so when we arrived, they had our table ready. Our waiter asked immediately if there were any celebrations and noted the birthdays. We ordered the calamari to start and it was delicious. I ordered the Mexican sushi roll and I loved it!! My husband loved his wedge salad with chicken. My in-laws shared the walley - it was a huge dish! My son enjoyed his burger and ate every bite. What made the visit memorable was how they brought a delicious and complimentary dessert for ALL four family members celebrating a birthday. 5 stars! This was my first visit to the Maple Grove location. It was exactly what I expected - wonderful. DECOR: The first thing I noticed is this location, like the others, is incredibly beautiful. The more I looked around, the more I saw interesting designs and creative "V" themed details throughout. All of the Crave locations have different designs but they all have a similar vibe. SERVICE: The second thing I observed was the excellent customer service. The service was extremely friendly, professional, and completely on-point. FOOD: The third thing was the food. Yes, the food! I came to get my sushi fix so I ordered 3 tuna based sushi rolls. All 3 were excellent. They aren't exactly like traditional Japanese style rolls. They're bigger and they have different twists on the flavor profiles. For example, a Godzilla tuna roll at Crave is different from places like Ten Sushi. I could definitely taste the difference along with more intense flavors. Nice! LOW CARBOHYDRATE: It's easy (and tasty) to eat low-carb, keto, carnivore style at Crave. They have incredible steaks and other animal based proteins. I went with my usual tuna based sushi rolls (since I've been on a sushi binge lately), and these are definitely Keto (with a modest amount of rice). I always avoid large rice portions, mountains of noodles, added sugar, and anything that might be hiding disgusting vegetable seed oils. I'm fine with healthy lard, tallow, olive oil, and coconut oil but I'll always avoid, scrape off, or otherwise trash things like canola oil, soybean oil, corn oil, etc. My glucose and insulin levels like it that way. ROOFTOP: As a final note, I went upstairs to investigate the rooftop seating. Wow - incredible! As a dude that recently had back surgery, I really appreciated that I could skip the stairs and take an over-sized elevator to the 2nd floor balcony. I'll be honest, so far, Minnesota and sushi don't mix lol. I've tried several places, and they have all been subpar, no fresh wasabi, no high pieces or cuts of fish. But honestly, the atmosphere and drinks here made this the best one yet. To be fair, I didn't get a fresh roll like I usually get but the one I did get was great. I love cream cheese in my rolls (controversial, I know) :) I told the waitress to surprise me with a cocktail and a roll that she likes. The rooftop seating was wonderful, service was great, and the food was to be expected for sushi so far in maple grove. I can't blame Minnesota, we are far from oceans. So great job, Crave! read more

The veggie stir fry was very delicious. My first time trying vegan chicken. I wasn't a fan but it works. The Mediterranean salad was served with salmon that was a bit on the salty side. Maybe it balances out with the salad but harder to eat. I wish it wasn't heavily seasoned. The Chilean sea bass was delicious. The risotto was creamy texture and was perfectly paired with the fish. Our server was very nice. I know a lot of restaurants do this but I don't like it. They keep coming and asking how your food is when you haven't even eaten yet. But they did that a lot here. Crave is one of my favorite spots to bring out of town family and friends, so we had to stop here when my parents were in town! It was also my boyfriend's birthday, so this was the perfect spot since they have a birthday dessert. We came in on a Friday night for dinner with no reservation and we were able to get in right away for four of us. We got there around 5:00-5:30, and I could tell it got much busier around 6:30-7:00. Service was great and quick until about that time, then we were left waiting a bit. For dinner I ordered the Crave salad with grilled chicken and butternut squash soup. Both were delicious! The Crave salad is perfect for anyone that likes a sweeter/balsamic salad. The chicken added the much needed protein, but I think salmon would be the best pairing. Butternut squash soup was delicious, nothing unique but it hit the spot. For my boyfriend's birthday they brought out a fun little brownie cookie with a big sparkler on top. Crave wings: The full chicken wing makes a pretty solid edible chicken wing. I asked for it to be double baked to put a crisp on it. Although, I would say it did not have that nice crunchy outside that I desired, it was still pretty decent. Triple baked? Not the best that I have had but still very tasty. The barbecue sauce is slightly tangy with a vinegar aftertaste. It is not bad. 4/5 Prime Rib French dip : At first looks, the prime rib looks luscious and plump. I don't know if it was me, but I don't think the meat was that flavorful, but that could've been from the weird au jus or the lack of black pepper horse radish aïoli. I could not taste the aïoli and I kind of wished they smothered it in this sandwich. The au jus was gravy, thick gravy. It didn't have that saltiness flavor, but it would've been great on a baked potato at Thanksgiving but not as a salty au jus. This sandwich just lacked that saltiness goodness. The keto bowl sounded better than it tasted. Cauliflower rice had no seasoning and tasted like sand. Tuna was fresh but they could have added a little spicy mayo for some flavor. Food quality was good but flavor was lacking. Service was also not that great although the restaurant was quite empty. We didn't get anyone acknowledging us or bring water for over 10 minutes. I ate here on Sunday and when I went to use my rewards I was told they were expired. It was $20.00 which was a lot for a senior person. It was a special occasion with my granddaughter. When I home I looked at my account and it said as of Feb you have earned $20.00. If it was expired why didn't it drop off. I called on Monday and the manager Tara was very nice and refunded my money. My cousins family has visited this place a few times and like it. However, the prices have increased almost double with quality decreasing. They don't take outdoor reservation. Outside rooftop was packed since it's summer time. We got an outside table and in 10 minutes it started raining. I quickly ran downstairs to get a table inside. The servers took a few minutes to transfer the drinks order. This was squared away in less than 5 minutes. After the whole beginning changes we had a descent dry indoor dinner. Ordered tomato soup and once we realized the green stuff on top was pistashios, my son immediately dropped his spoon & look of panic came over him. I took the spoon out of my wife's hand; also allergic & confirmed that they were tree nuts. We gave him a Benadryl but he's a mess right now...about 30 minutes later. We addressed the error with the server politely, despite her stating "This is my first time serving the soup" then "I could have prevented this if you all told me that people had tree nut allergies"..we asked for the manager & she returned & initially let us know the soups would be removed from our bill...we got the bill & the soups were not removed. For context, the soup was part of a special for $19, but the manager said she'd remove them, we ordered 2. The couple dining with us also ordered soup and 2 soups were removed from their bill. My daughter ordered butter noodles & those were removed because they had hair in them. The manager returned & let us know that she couldn't do anything else to our bill. She left & the server returned. Still displeased with the solution the manager offered, I let the server know it was ridiculous that the soup couldn't be removed but gratuity added automatically. I told her it was her responsibility to tell us that the soup contained tree nuts. She then repeated her first lines in this story again & flittered on to get the manager. Another young lady approached after a few minutes and wanted context as to what happened. I explained the situation very clearly and she acknowledged that she has made the case to the chef to notate that the tomato soup is garnished with Parmesan cheese & pistachio nuts but he has yet to do this. As we were speaking, the manager (owner) stepped infront of the young lady I was speaking to and asked what she could do to help "because customers are complaining" I let he know that she already told me theres nothing more she could do, so I'm not dealing with her. She then stepped closer to me & said she wasn't going to let me talk to her like this in her restaurant. My friend interjected & asked her to "remove her ego" and she abruptly said she would not & this was her restaurant. I got up & had a conversation with the young lady who I was talking to before the owner became overcome ego. I let her know that I would not be giving her my money, regardless of who she was. She was in a tough place take the payment after the owner stepped in & I recognized that. As she reached out, the party I was with was motioning for me to come on and we left. My friend did acknowledge the courage of the young lady who stepped in but was bumped by the owner. Apparently, we had agitated them so much that our bill wasn't to be paid. Do better Crave in Maple Grove, MN. Customers shouldn't have to find out that dishes have potential allergens in them after the dish has come to the table & been ingested. Tell people, for whatever foolish reason, that you garnish your tomato soup with pistachios. read more
