    Chicken fried rice
    Hoa N.

First time here. They were next door to Tii Cup and was in the area for an event at Tii Cup but the event was rescheduled and so we went to Vietnam House for a late lunch. Our group of 7 didn't have to wait very long for a table. We got our order in quickly and food came out as they were ready. The fried rice was ok. The chicken didn't have much flavor and the rice was not fully cooked so not much flavor. Everyone else thought their good was good. They were busy and took awhile to get our bill.

Best pho in the twin cities and the owners are so welcoming. It's not fancy but that doesn't matter when the pho is so good and prices are affordable. The fresh spring rolls are good too! Two for $5-$6 I think it was. This place is a must try if you like pho.

As you enter... you are greeted and seated right away. There is no music playing in the background. Menu is 6 pages. Since it is my first time here, I always try their pho dac biet and spring roll. Spring roll not the greatest as it is plain and simple. The peanut sauce is decent. The sauce does add some flavor to the dryness of the spring roll. Pho broth is good and does not need any extra sauce or condiments added. I add the basil leaves and I'm good! There are 3 size bowls... regular, large and extra large. Price varies for each size bowl... $10.95... $11.95... and $14.95. If you like pho and want a place that is good, this is a great place to try. You won't leave your taste wanting more. Lastly, the strawberry boba tea tastes just like a shake. Not the best place for boba tea!! Overall, this place is worth a try and won't disappoint. Go and check them out!!!

Very welcoming environment and very pleased for my first visit! Will definitely be back - good broth, fresh ingredients and generous portions.

Service was blah. Walked in and told them how many people and the lady just put down the placemat and menu on the table in left, didn't even nicely layout the placemats. Service otherwise was just ok, got checked on once and had to walk up to the cashier to pay vs getting a bill. Walked passed the kitchen to use the restroom and all I could smell coming out of the kitchen was cigarette smell. Even my daughter smelled it at the table when someone came out from the kitchen. Egg roll has a weird filling in the middle, a bit mushy and not like others I'm used to. Pho broth is on the bland side and barely any beef (maybe 3/4 slices?). Bun bo hue just tasted really watered down with just some flavored oil on top (didn't even help). Unfortunately I will not be returning..

Very solid Vietnamese restaurant! I'll say that it wouldn't be my first choice but everything had flavor and the portions were good. The service was fairly prompt, although we were one of the only tables in the restaurant at an off-hour time. The vibe gave very classic Asian food style feels and the place was pretty clean. I didn't like the fact that silverware was kept in a container at the tables with no covers. How am I supposed to know they're still clean? Would come again but probably order takeout!

The service at this restaurant was the most memorable. That is the only reason why I am rating them two stars. You can tell this restaurant has loyal customers as they interact with many of them. I ordered the PH5, which was the pho that had beef brisket and rare beef. I counted probably 6-8 slices of beef total in my whole bowl. You can tell there's quite a bit of msg in the soup. The noodle quantity was alright, I ordered regular size so wasn't expecting too much. My husband ordered the seafood banh cuon and I enjoyed that one more than my pho. However, the soup was pretty oily. I rarely stop by BP, so I will likely not be coming back.

Pho there always hits on a Sunday morning after a wild night. Noodles are to my texture where it's firm-soft. Broth is text book and on need chili oil and some lime. Cream cheese wontons are a good app while waiting Service is fast and there is always someone able to assist you!

Solid place for pho! Came on a Friday afternoon for lunch and ordered egg rolls, PH2 (rare beef), PH3 (rare beef and meatballs), and PH5 (rare beef and brisket). The egg rolls were fine, nothing incredibly memorable. But the pho broth was outstanding! And the pieces of rare beef were tender and delicious. A lot of the times they get chewy, but not here! The staff was so sweet and we received our food really quickly. Would absolutely come here again!

Looked on yelp for a Vietnamese restaurant near my hotel and this one had the best rating so we headed over. It's in a strip mall and not very big. We were seated right away and looked over the menu. I had my usual, the fresh spring rolls with shrimp and the pho with flank and brisket. The rolls were fresh and delicious. I judge my Vietnamese by 2 thing, the fresh rolls and the pho broth. The rolls were good and fresh The pho was really good too. Broth was salty and full of flavor. Plenty of meat in there too. I washed it all down with a Vietnam iced coffee that was really good and refreshing Loved it

Try this place multiple times, but each time it doesnt get better. Today i try the bun bu hue with pho noodle and that did not taste good. The flavor is no where near bun bu hue. It taste like chicken broth and there wasnt a lot of meat. You can literally smell the bun bu hue water down and it taste water down. The pho broth was too sweet, not enough meat as well and the meatball tasted weird. The only good item we got was the spicy fried chicken with oysters sauce. That was the only good food that we got from the menu.

We ordered several items and it is important to note that the food comes out as it is ready, which means food may not come out as you would normally expect. For example my main dish came out first, about ten minutes later my partner's food came out, then the appetizer arrived. This was not a problem for us, but others may be annoyed. We ordered #5 Banh Khot as an appetizer. This came out last, after the rest of our food. I would probably not order it again as it was a bit greasy and did not have as strong of a flavor as I would like. Very edible, just not what I had hoped. For my meal I ordered #15 Com Tam Heo Nuong, Bi, Cha and a lychee lemonade. The lychee lemonade was very good and had a lychee in the bottom of the glass. There is a sort of egg bake thing that came with the meal that was good, but not my favorite. The main meat and rest of the dish was so good, very flavourful. There was also a paler meat which was also good, kind of sour, but not my favorite part of the meal. It was a lot of food. I took home leftovers and ate an additional three meals. My partner had #20 Pho Dav Biet. This was amazing and very flavourful with lots of meat. If you don't like cilantro you should order it without as there is definitely some cilantro in the dish. Will definitely order this again. He also had a Thai Tea which he said was very good. The service was fast and very friendly. Our server was very informative and willing to help us decide what to have. Ambiance is light and pleasant. The restaurant is clean, but worn. We saw a lot of takeout orders go through while we were there and a steady stream of people coming to eat in. Several tables were full when we arrived, by the time we left it was nearly full. They have a fish sauce that appears to be house made(?). It is fantastic! The server said I should put a couple tablespoons on my dish, but it was so good we put it on everything! The restaurant is in a mini mall, so there was plenty of parking. I would say the parking lot is not very handicapped friendly as there was no ramp in front of the restaurant, nor close enough for me to notice. The restaurant itself is pretty handicapped friendly. All in all a very pleasant experience. We will be back.

Order: Mini egg rolls with pork and shrimp. Delicious fried perfection. Great way to start the meal. Crunchy savory egg roll with the sweet, salty funky dipping sauce. Pho with well done brisket. I don't like the lean beef versions because the meat can leave some impurity in your broth as it cooks. The brisket is tender and flavorful. The regular size is a good enough portion to get you full. Broth is perfect. Such a satisfying bite.

Cost wise, it was actually quite affordable for a food truck and there's even an option for a big ol' bucket of lumpia for $36. The downside was that I didn't like them at all. They're sour, are they supposed to be sour? I've had other lumpia's before and they didn't taste like this. It tasted like the meat had gone off and soured and was used to make the lumpia but I honestly can't tell if that sour taste was intentional or not. The pork skewers could have been great, they just needed a hit of salt to bring out the flavor. The lechon, not a lot of flavor and the garlic fried rice also needed a bit more umph. I used to love the the potatoes in the beef & potatoes, the meaty eggrolls w/ the fish sauce (I miss these so much as I don't eat beef/pork anymore), oyster wings, the best wontons as well as chicken friend rice. My mom loved the egg fu young. I love that over the years the menu has pretty much stayed the same. I've gotten to see a few generations run the place and things have stayed pretty true to what I always remembered growing up. My go to order now that my diet has shifted is wontons & chicken fried rice - add med. spice and no chicken. I know chicken fried rice with no chicken sounds crazy but I don't like the veggies in the veggie rice and I really love the flavor of the chicken fried rice without the chicken. Reheating the rice at times the chicken tends to get a bit rubbery after being reheated so many times and I just don't like it but the flavor is very solid without still. They have some of the best wontons I've ever had. Slight garlic flavor to balance the sweetness of the cream cheese. if I could I would eat an eggroll.. I miss them so much! I mostly order takeout these days but have also dined in a bunch and the staff are very attentive and nice.
