The pho is the star of this restaurant . The broth is rich and not watered down. Good amount of noodles , little light on meat tho. The noodle salad was good, lots of chicken but it was missing pickled daikon and carrots it just had lettuce onions and I had to ask for fish sauce dressing because they forgot that as well. Sesame chicken was good but not really a sesame chicken it's more garlicky and salty missing sweetness. My kid ate it but wasn't her favorite, I thought it was really good but maybe they should call it garlicky chicken. The chicken fried rice was really good lots of flavor. The service was really off. This is my family's go-to pho restaurant! The broth is so good and flavorful and I always ask for the oxtail pho or beef ribs pho, so delicious and perfect especially when you're under the weather! One of my go to spots for good pho broth to cure my hangover. I wish it was a little closer to the city so that I don't need to drive out too far, but worth the drive every time regardless. The special pho is good and is a good balance between salty and sweet and hits just right for me. The bun bo hue (BBH) also has a good broth and adding some spice to it makes it really good too. I'm also a fan of their sesame chicken. The sesame chicken usually comes out crispy even with the sauce on it and I really like it. I once compared it to and thought it was more of a boneless korean fried chicken. Lastly, I'm also a pretty big fan of their chicken feet. It's not for everyone, but I always make sure to get this here no matter what since you won't really find good fried chicken feet elsewhere. Again, great place for pho. Definitely recommend if you need your pho fix. Haven't been here in a while and I was stoked to go back. They've expanded their menu and the fried pork belly is to die for!! Their appetizers were as delicious as before! Could always eat more egg rolls and cream cheese wontons! This restaurant is ran by husband and wife and they do their best to make all their customers happy. Heard their pho was good, so I'm going in to review. The food menu was kind of sporadic. I was hoping for some spring roll. Obviously they did not have it. Had three of us went so we can all discuss about the foods to avoid bias. Pho was okay, not all that. Broth is pretty simple and the taste seems like it's missing an ingredient. (like the fatness tase from the bone marrow.). The meat portions was OK. It could use some more of other variety cuts and there's not much tendons because it was thinly slice and I think there's two small pieces . We ordered the pork belly and it was fried to a good crisp but lacked flavor, it's not fully there. Service was OK and when we went there's not very many customers so we did wait a bit for our food but imagine during a busy hours you might have to wait longer. Good amount of meat, veggies and noodles. It was also a nice size. Bun Bo Hue - my bf ordered this to try. They gave pork hock and a blood cube in the broth. Everything was bagged up separately which was nice. The flavor ended up being a bit bland for my bf. He said it was better after adding the chili oil. Lemon Chicken Rice Platter - the flavor of the chicken skin was so delicious, however, due to the size of the chicken, it was underdone (see photos). This Place is Not Recommended: First of all, I'm not often motivated to write food reviews either positive or negative. I just felt that I needed to share the disappointment we had in our meal tonight. I must admit my first impressions of our encounter were very positive. The restaurant inside was very clean and nice and very welcoming. I felt comfortable inside. As I waited for the takeout order. The lady in the front was very nice and the service was fast and prompt. This my fellow foodies is where the pleasantries ended. We ordered Beef Lomein, General Tso Chicken, Sesame Chicken, chicken fried rice, and the Vietnamese crispy eggroll. After we got home the first thing we noticed as we opened the lids on these food containers was the pungent order of way too much garlic. It was permeated in every dish, even the sesame chicken and I've never had sesame chicken that had garlic in the sauce. Every dish we ate was so loaded with garlic that everything tasted the same. No authentic of distinguishing tastes in any of these dishes. We love garlic in our food, but this was too much, and not only that is it tasted like the garlic you would scoop out of a jar. Not fresh at all. The Beef Lowmein. Noodles were thick, chewey, lacking any real wok or stir fry taste. Just gummy no flavor. Had to doctor them up with some sauces we have at home. The beef, dry and flavorless, reminded us of pieces of steakum. Was there any Asian spices or flavorings put in these noodles? we couldn't find them. Fried Rice basically had zero color, because there wasn't any flavor in it. Again had to add flavorings at home. It looked like plain white rice that was slightly dirty. Only thing we could taste was garlic in it, then again everything was so swimming in it, we can't be certain if it was from the rice or the other things on our plate finding its way in Both the Sesame Chicken and General Tso. As mentioned earlier, way too much garlic. Sauce not sweet enough, and really no crispiness on the batter. I will add the chicken at least was tender. Overall these two dishes tasted like they came out of a frozen section of the grocery store from a box, microwaved and put in a to go box, and not from the top shelf. Eggrolls. they were really the only thing slightly edible in this meal, but they are very greasy, and once they cool slightly they become just a soggy vessel of pure grease taste. Time to change that oil!! Oh the best thing on the meal was the eggroll dipping sauce. At least we have a big container of plain white rice that we can throw it the wok tomorrow and make a batch of home made fried rice. For a meal that cost over 70.00 and had basically the taste of an off brand frozen Asian meal it was a major shock to the wallet, especially when there wasn't anything that tasted all that great. We had heard mixed reviews from people we know, so decided to try it ourselves. We had cream cheese wontons that were good, but that's about it. The egg rolls were good, but they way overcooked. They were past golden brown and just about black. We also had sweet a sour chicken. The batter was good, the sauce was good and the chicken was really dry. Chicken fried rice got thrown out. Classic Vietnamese cuisine with some of the best pho north of Minneapolis. They have a very loyal following of Vietnamese residents in the area but are well known among non-Vietnamese for the quality of dishes they serve. There was one gentleman eating and another waiting for his food. I rang the bell as the sign says for help and waited a few minutes, a woman came out and said she would help me shortly, I had a seat and waited maybe 3 -4 more minutes, she brought out the gentleman's food, answered the phone for another take out order then another man walked in the door and went right up to her to order, she recognized him as a regular and said to him, you always know what you want don't you and took his order. I got up looked at her and said this is wrong, she covered her face and I walked out the door. Guess the regular clients get priority service here. The oyster wings are it's sweet and still have that crunch after being tossed in the sauce. Fried was pretty good. I recommend not to order take out and dine there. Their customer service was horrible and especially rude. The Asian lady who was in charge of the cashier/waitress gave me an unpleasant time. My husband was eager to try their boat noodle and he ask if their boat noodle taste good as they say but the cashier lady offendly responded, "I don't know you. I don't know how the food here so I can't say because I don't know you." Not to mention the cashier lady forced the other customers to move into a new table so my family can have a place to sit.( I honestly felt bad...) Me and my husband waited more than 30 minutes or like about an hour or so, because we were told by the cashier lady that the chef was angry and was tight with a line of orders...(I can't say about that...)
