    Bún bò huế

Saw this on TikTok and really wanted to try this place out. When we got in we were treated by their young waitress. You can tell it's family owned when the children are working . It has such a great atmosphere . Very much like going into a family's home to eat traditional Vietnamese food. We ordered the bún bò huế and the Classic phở . First off you get huge servings with lots of meat . The servings was so generous we couldn't finish it. Very delicious. Kind warning that the bún bò huế is a little spicier than some other ones around minnesota . We will definitely coming back.

Great new Vietnamese place that opened up few months ago. I was here couple months ago for lunch with a friend of mine. They had just opened for the day when we got there so we were the only ones there for a while. Space is small but cute. Service was very quick and friendly. Food was delicious. We started off with the egg rolls. I love Vietnamese egg rolls and they didn't disappoint. I got the Beef BBQ short ribs. It came with Jasmine rice and pickled veggies. It was delicious. My friend had the Pad Thai with Chicken and she really liked it. All in all we had a great experience and will surely come back to try other things on the menu.

Amazing pork chop platter! I put it in my Top 3 alongside MT Noodles and Quang's. The portions did not skimp and the cuts were nice and thick. The style of fish sauce is one that has a sweetness to it and no bite (not a vinaigrette style). I also appreciate that the broken rice comes with an egg. I also had the pho special. The tripe was good and not too rubbery, the tendon was soft and melted in my mouth and the rare cuts were delicious! The broth had great aromatic flavor (no hoisin was needed) but was a little murky. We came 30 minutes before closing so that may have been why. Kevin, the owner, came and sat with us for a bit and was so nice and friendly! Loved it and can't wait to come back and try more of what they offer!

Such a lovely new restaurant in Arbor Lakes! We are always down to try a new Vietnamese spot and love that it's so close to home with great parking and easy access. So much to love about this place - as soon as we entered the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, ushering us to have a seat as if we were guests in their home. My husband ordered the special pho and I ordered the pork chop rice platter - both came out super quick and piping hot! My husband was instantly in love with his Pho - flavorful, packed with meat, and so filling with all the aromas of a Vietnamese kitchen. My pork chops were THICK, juicy, and perfectly prepared. The egg with my rice was a great touch, very traditional but not usually seen often in the U.S. I am not a huge fan of sunny side up eggs and would've preferred it fried but great to mix in my rice. As we were finishing up our meal, the owner Kevin, such a sweet man! Came by our table and chatted with us, we learned about his and his wife's love for food and wanting to share their home cooking with others. We also bonded as my husband and I recently came back from Vietnam and we were actually in his wife Trang's hometown! It was such a fun exchange and he offered us a bowl of cherries that absolutely melted my heart. This is a very common gesture in the Vietnamese culture to offer guests fruit and tea upon entering someone's home and this just made me fall in love with them even more. Such lovely people, so kind hearted, and you can taste it in their dishes. Highly highly recommend, if you've never been - make it a point to get your butt out there. You won't regret it!

Newly opened. Clean place. Plenty of parking. They did have a sign outside when I went. The direction take you to the back of the restaurant. At least my GPS did. It was pretty packed. I got seated and they gave me a bottle of water. I think they were having issues with the drink machine but they were very friendly and the service was good. I asked for their recommendation between the pho and Bún Bò Huế, I have had pho before and wanted to try the other. They recommended the Bún Bò Huế if I like spicy which I do so went with it. It does have shrimp and pork meatballs so I asked that be taken out. They were happy to oblige. The food came out quickly. The aroma and flavors were great. Very flavorful broth and had depth of flavor and not just spicy. A good portion of meat and noodles. Noodles were not overcooked either and had a nice chew. Some pieces of the beef were a little hard. I think it was the brisket. But other pieces were very tender. Not sure if this is how it's served but they had cabbage as a topping and that added a nice little crunch. Also the noodles were more like udon which were a little harder to eat and slippery. Overall, a good option for Vietnamese food. Will be back to try out some of the other dishes and their Pho.

Great new vietnamese spot in Maple Grove. Love the location next to Wingstop but hate the parking lot that can be confusing and tight spaces. Great vibes inside. Staff was friendly and helpful with a family run operation feel that you want to support and cheer for. The space has plenty of tables but it is tight. Just be flexible if you need to pivot your order to takeout. Order: Egg noodle soup. Flavorful and delicious. Its like a warm hug on a cold night. Roast pork and shrimp dumplings added great texture and flavor. If you want a great alternative from your regular pho order give this a try. Noodle salad with grilled beef and egg roll. Delicious. It's a texture and flavor wonderland. As good as any in the city. Bahn mi sandwich. It was the best bite of the night. The star of the show was the bread. It was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft tender on the inside. We later learned the owner hand picks each piece of bread from the bakery to ensure the perfect consistently and texture. That level of detail really makes a difference and it reflects in the dining experience. Overall: Great family run business. Support local. You will love this place.

Stop by to check this place out since the just did a soft opening. Didn't see any pics or menu online yet. Which would have been helpful to review before I got there. So here I am to check out. Located in a small business strip with shared parking with surrounding businesses. Place looks nice and clean. Staff is fast and friendly. Ordered to go and we shall see hit it turns out.

We decided to grab some lunch at this new vietnamese restaurant that opened in Maple Grove. My friend posted about her cousin new business so we decided to go support. Located in the business area across from Costco. They have a parking lot in front and back, looks like they have double entry access to the restaurant. Nice size dining room, clean, and friendly staff. Food was delicious and big portion.

We go there during their soft opening, overall the experience was good! Will go back again after their grand opening to try on other food on the menu. Portion is huge especially for the price you pay. Make sure you try their marinated garlic slices with your pho is delicious!!!

Had an early dinner at Xin Chao and was excited to have a new pho place in the area! The space is on the smaller size but interior was really cute with an aesthetic mural. They are newer and had signs that they were in their "soft opening" phase. They did not have a sign above their business so it was a bit confusing when pulling into the parking lot and trying to find it (right next to wingstop!) Our waiter was attentive and kind. We were seated right away and given full size water bottles which was nice. The menu was a bit smaller as well. Only one page. As mentioned, we specifically came in for the pho but was a bit disappointed that they had around 4-5 pho options compared to other places. The pho had a lot of meat options which my husband enjoyed however I personally like my pho with only flank steak. I did ask the waiter if it was possible to only get a plain pho with steak and they were able to accommodate me! The only downside was the price, normally I'm used to paying around $15 for a bowl of pho but was charged around $18-$19. I do also wish they offered different pho sizes. I would have loved a smaller bowl as my husband and I both had tons of left overs. (Won't complain though, it made for a great meal the next day) The service was great, restaurant was clean and the cream cheese wontons were amazing! Pho was delicious! We will continue to support this business especially being a new business. Highly recommend checking them out!

New spot that just popped up on our Google search...so we had to go try it out. It's a casual Vietnamese restaurant that's quite clean and the service was great. The prices are a little bit pricier than other Vietnamese restaurants around the Maple Grove/Brooklyn Park areas. But it's worth it. The pho was absolutely delicious - the broth was perfection! The spring rolls were fresh and filled with lots of vegetables and protein! The eggrolls and cheese wontons were spot on. My husband had the Bun Bo Hue and he just ate that up! I didn't even get a chance to take a picture! It was so delicious!! I would definitely come again. It's so great to finally have a Vietnamese spot to go to in the Arbor Lakes area! Highly recommended!! You won't be disappointed.

Nice family owned restaurant tucked into a strip in Arbor Lakes. Google Maps took us to back entrance - parking available on either side. Owner was very chatty and gave us plenty of recommendations for our next visit. Food came out fast, everything was well done. Want to try the ox tail and pho here next!

Definitely a pricier bowl of pho, but the portion size is generous. The broth leans on the lighter side rather than rich and bold. The fried rice had great texture and was delicious. The banh mi, egg roll, and wonton all had a pleasantly satisfying crunch with each bite. The staff was super nice, and they even serve free bottled water--which I really appreciated as a first-time visitor. Since it's still a soft opening, I'm looking forward to seeing how they fine-tune everything and settle into a smooth flow and rhythm.

**** #1 VIET RESTAURANT ***…read more This place makes the best grilled marinated pork you'll ever have in your entire life. It is char grilled to perfection. This place also makes the best grilled pork banh mi. It is the same grilled pork sliced up as you would get in the entrées. The pho here is also spectacular. You can really taste the oriental spices in their beef broth. I normally do not order the pho from here because they do not have tendon on their menu. I usually get any entrée that has the grilled pork. This place also has the best wonton noodle soup or plain wonton soup. They the wine times are Housemade dumplings and they're absolutely delicious. This place also makes the best eggrolls the most fresh ingredients inside their eggrolls I've ever had in my entire life. Wow, was this place happen for lunch on a Monday packed to the max!

Food: good Service: good…read moreAmbiance: plenty of tables and good space I like the flavors of MT Noodles. Their fried rice is really good, their pork in the bun cha gio is marinated nicely and tastes flavorful, and I like that they use the rice paper to make their egg rolls. Their nuc mam is close to how my mom makes it too (sweet, sour, and spicy)! The Banh kot is just okay.. it's supposed to have the same batter as banh xeo, but it's not the same. It's thicker, white, and doesn't really have much flavor. I wish the appetizer came with more lettuce too. I want to wrap it all up and dunk it in nuc mam, but I can only do that with 1 piece :( I will go back to try other things and get the bun dac biet again though.
