    Delicious T12. Vietnamese Coffeecoffee

Finding a good pho spot in the Twin Cities is always a win, and this one did not disappoint! I was so impressed that they open super early, and the space is really big, which is a nice bonus. The pho broth had a great balance of beefy and herby flavors--exactly how I like it. The portion size was perfect, and the Vietnamese coffee was a total hit! It was strong and sweet, just the way it should be.

Saw this place online and really wanted to try the egg rolls cause I never seen any like that. They have a small parking lot on the side of the building. I got there about an hour before close and the staff was still very friendly and accommodating. Average asian restaurant inside, nothing too crazy. Felt like a cozy family owned spot. I sat down, ordered a few things. It all came out as prepared and was very hot! I love when restaurants do this but I usually have to ask. I cant stress enough how nice these people were, I was shown how they like to eat the egg rolls. Wasn't many people in there but they made sure I was taken care of. Egg rolls were super good and filling, the wings were pretty good and the shrimp were the basic ones you usually get. Still such a great experience and I will be going back to try the pho, I just wasn't craving it that night.

Been on a journey to find the best pho and banh mi spot in the twin cities - so far pho pasteur is the top contender!!! Not only was there a dedicated parking lot, the restaurant was spacious with so many food options to select from! Definitely had to try the pho as well as their banh mi and it did not disappoint! The banh mi was so FRESH and tasty! Pho broth was absolute perfection (especially for a cold day) but my only criticism is that there was not a lot of meat compared to other pho spots :'( Aside from that, the prices for the portion size was pretty reasonable! Needless to say, we'll be back!

Authentic, Fresh, and Comforting - A Rice-Based Haven in St. Paul We had a fantastic meal at Pho Pasteur in St. Paul, and I'm already looking forward to going back. As someone who grew up loving Malaysian food, Vietnamese cuisine hits all the right notes for me; rice-based, freshly cooked, light yet flavorful, and packed with vibrant herbs, textures, and balance. We ordered a variety of dishes and everything came out beautifully: 1. Chè Ba Màu (Vietnamese 3-color dessert or similar) - Shaved ice, mung bean, and sweet syrup layered over a soft base. Cold, sweet, and refreshing. The perfect way to end the meal. 2. Bún Thịt Nướng Chả Giò - Vermicelli bowl with grilled pork and crispy egg rolls. The pork was charred just right, well-marinated, and full of flavor. Loved the crunch of the crushed peanuts and the cool freshness of the lettuce and herbs. 3. Cơm Tấm Sườn Nướng (Broken Rice Plate with Pork Chop) - A beautiful plate with a grilled pork chop, shredded pork skin, steamed egg custard, fried egg, and broken rice, all tied together with a side of fish sauce. The rice was fluffy, and that green scallion oil on top? Magic. The food came out hot and fast, and the atmosphere was low-key and welcoming. It felt like a home-cooked meal, which is warm, balanced, and made with care. If you're a fan of Southeast Asian flavors, especially Malaysian or Thai, Vietnamese food offers that same soulful, balanced experience with its own unique twist; Pho Pasteur delivers that beautifully. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the Twin Cities and craving something deeply satisfying yet clean and fresh.

You know a place is good when you crave it as you write your review! Pho Pasteur has amazing options for banh mi, rice dishes, and pho. I also really like the Thai tea and their strong Vietnamese coffee! Service was quick and the clean, no frills restaurant is great!

I am in love with the Thai tea here. It is thick and creamy. I love the taste of it. I love how creamy it was. You can honestly add ice cream and it still taste yummy. The spicy chicken wings wasnt spicy. It just had herb/ pepper flakes to it. Nothing special about it. The pho was good, not too beefy, but it could be better. The bun bu hue was very shrimp paste based. It was good for the first few bites, but the shrimp paste gets stronger. The service was ok, i was super thirsty, they didnt serve water very often. The atmosphere was light, there were some people there. No music though; but it was oka. Would definitely go for the thai tea again!

The place is really clean and the staff were nice. Got seated right away but felt like it took a long time for them to come back to us so we can order. But once ordered, the food came out very fast so it makes up for it I guess. Food is very delicious! Definitely recommend getting the dumplings for sure.

Pho taste good. Broth is well balanced. Spring rolls are fresh and the peanut sauce goes well! I also tried their Vietnamese coffee and it tastes like it should. Medium bodied coffee with condensed milk. Overall, a place worthy to try! What are you waiting for... go check them out!!

Proteins all served at correct doneness in the Pho Dac Biet so you get the tougher cuts well done and rendered and the thin steak raw so it cooks in the broth. Great side accompaniments, Thai basil still on the stalk and living, fresh bean sprouts, Sri Racha and chiles in oil depending on your tastes, squirt bottle of hoisin. The only tiny nitpick I have is I wish they had bigger spoons available for those of us who like to mix sauces and soup in the spoon instead of muddying up the bowl. Also Vietnamese coffee is prepared old fashioned, not in a boba cup where you can't tell if it was made just now or weeks ago. Great service. This is a tiny little joint which is exactly what you expect from a world class Pho place.

We were able to find free street parking nearby, because of parking lot renovations. As soon as we sat down, our waitress made sure we had everything we needed, including chili oil and sriracha for us. She checked in on us throughout our meal without being overbearing and made us feel very welcome. Since it was our first visit, we appreciated that we never felt rushed to order and had plenty of time to look over the menu. The pho was really solid. I loved the clear, deep flavorful broth, and the Vietnamese coffee was perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Unfortunately, they were out of bánh mì during our visit, but honestly that just gives me another reason to come back. Between the good food and excellent service, I can definitely see why locals love this place. I'd recommend giving it a try if you're looking for a great food and a welcoming dining experience.

However despite what people say I think it is too pricey for the food and service that you get. You go in and take a seat, eat your food, then walk up to the cash register on the left side of the restaurant when you're done. Oh and it's cash only, no check or credit card here. So I had the House Special #2 Pho whoch included beef steak, flank, tripe, and meatball for $13.95. I also ordered a side of egg rolls for $4. And the Bubble tea for about $4. I'm not sure why the price all of thar somehow became $26 which annoyed me that the fees weren't transparent. Pho: 9/10 Solid option and the broth was rich and flavorful, noodles were thin and tasted great. They gave lots of meat and honestly makes the trip here Egg Rolls: 8/10 Crispy and delicious, my obly gripe is that the sauce that I got was kinda mid. Must have just been old sauce because the flavor wasn't there. Bubble Tea: 7/10 More like dessert and a slushie texture so keep thar in mind. The taro is fine but not something I'd go out my way for. Now despite expecting hold in the wall prices, Pho Ca Dao is pricier than expected. I could compare to Lotus which I had a month ago for about the same price but they provided a far larger portion of sides including chicken wings compared to here, not to mention superior service. Overall if you're in the area I guess this works but note there are better Pho options.

I lived in the Houston and Garland Texas area all my life where there is a large vietnamese population... and for the past 5 months, I have just been exploring Minnesota and Wisconsin and Illinois for vietnamese food. This evening... I was just craving pho. lets start with the ambiance. Its a pretty hip place once you get inside. I do like the cultural blend of modern and old school, and you see it with the different type people that come in. The staff there was prompt, and unlike my old school favorite in Richardson Texas... the staff to customer ratio was high. So the service was quick and attentive. Now for the pho. I went with the Dac Biet because I never know sometimes if I will get tough precut preprocessed meats... not in this case. I felt that all the ingrediants were fresh...and catered toward the old school viet palette, which I thank you. I understand a lot of pho house have to stay in business and cater to the local palette but this one was spot on. You can just breath in the right mixture of ingrediants. The bowl was reasonably priced, and the portions were similar to what I am used to having in Houston. It was fantastic as I scarfed it down to quick and forgot to take a picture. However, all the pictures that I have seen associated with this location are accurate. Overall, I would come back here. I am interested in trying their Stone pho next time as th emenu advertisement made it look tasty.
