We were in the area and wanted some Viet food and this was a great pick. Service was really quick from order to meal being less than 5 mins. Portions were large which met the prices of most dishes ($15-20). Ordered - Com Tam Special (4/5). Delicious and well balanced. Pork chop was a bit dry but the marination saved it - Pho Brisket (4/5). Good. Broth could be slightly cleaner but can't complain as it was rich and satisfying
Went for an early dinner on Mother's Day. Was expecting a long wait but was surprisingly seated quickly. Service staff was as expected for a busy day and we kept getting the wrong items sent out but they were nice and apologetic, it was just a busy day and had newer staff. Parking is limited, be sure to pay attention to where you're parking since certain spots are meant for businesses nearby. They have patio seating but I don't know if they actually provide food service outside. Bathrooms are currently out of service so they have two port-o-potties outside. It's a nice space and gets lots of natural sunlight, I do wish they had some tint or blinds though because we were seated next to a window and it was a bit blinding especially with the sun reflecting off the metal cups and laminated menus. I've heard great things about their food but for me it was a miss. We all had pho but the amount of herbs and fresh toppings wasn't sufficient for 6 phos. They were accommodating and gave us additional items we asked for. The calamari was on the greasier end and was bigger than expected. For my palate both the banh mi and pho were lacking in flavor. I put a lot of things into my pho but it just didn't taste like anything to me except for pho powder. The ribeye pho had a generous portion of broth but only like 5 slices of meat. The oxtail stone bowl pho one looked hot and didn't have enough space to add everything in without it overflowing while the other didn't look like the broth was hot enough to cook the noodles. I will say though their ordered drink cups and to-go containers game was top notch. I received a reusable bag with my two banh mis to go instead of a plastic bag. It's probably not somewhere I'd return to unless someone else absolutely had to have it but to each their own.
I tried their bon bo hue, the bot chien (pan fried rice cake, and taro milk tea. The bon bo hue is okay. It was lacking some heat and shrimp paste flavor. I liked the noodles and the meat being tender. The rice cakes were crunchy, however, the dish fell a little bit flat because the egg was so thin. But eating it with sauce was pretty good. I did not like the taro milk tea. It was really sweet. Their salted coffee was good though!
Amazing. Best pho in the cities. The broth is rich and oily. The bahn mi was crusty and flavorful. Service was great even though there was a wait for tables. Parking lot can fill up.
I absolutely love Stone Pho they never disappoint. The Blaine location was closed, so we went to the Roseville/St. Paul location, and wow... it was so unbelievably busy. Think Black Friday, but for noodles . We waited about 15 minutes to be seated, which honestly wasn't bad considering how packed it was. The food was delicious, as always. The broth was well-seasoned and flavorful, my spring rolls were yummy, and the wontons were delicious. Service was great despite the crowd, which I really appreciated. The only downside is that this location felt a bit too busy for my preference. The ambiance made me feel like I needed to hurry up and eat because people were waiting to be seated right next to our table. I personally prefer the Blaine location for a more relaxed experience but the food quality here is still top-tier.
Not sure I can hop on the Stone Pho bandwagon. I'd had heard good things about it but maybe those praises were for the, now closed, Blaine location. I didn't have the pho myself but had a bahn mi and unfortunately, it was bland. I don't know how but not a single ingredients taste came through, not even cilantro, which is really strong in taste. I was told the same of the pho, that it didn't taste like anything. I think it probably needed a sprinkle of seasoning to help bring out the flavors of the butter, vegetables or meat. On the positive side, the bread was nice and soft.

3 stars for the soapy spoon. NOMd: - meatball pho. the smell and taste of soapy water was so strong i really couldn't really enjoy or taste the broth. not sure if they didn't dry the dishes or where that flavor was coming from. the meatballs were good and the cartilage didn't bother as much as other brands do which makes me wonder where they get theirs from bc yum. i looove my pho sour so the huge limes were a win. service, etc.: came by myself and wasn't acknowledged until a larger group came in but once they noticed me it was fine. my waiter was nice. the inside is rustic, modern, bright and cute. i do want to come back and try their salt and pepper shrimp.
Heard lots of good things about this spot so had to go check it out! The restaurant was nice, clean and I loved the black and white colors. The place was busy for a Tuesday night, but our food was delivered quickly! I was pleasantly surprised. My husband had the oxtail pho. It came in a sizzling metal bowl and it was absolute perfection. The broth was so delicious! This was one of the best pho we've ever had! I had the Bun Bo Hue and it was also delicious. We also had the fresh spring rolls and the oyster basil chicken wings. Everything was yummy! We had the Vietnamese iced coffee and it was so good and refreshing! Definitely a great spot and absolutely with all the hype! We'll definitely come back!
This place is so popular during lunch time! I ordered the ribeye pho. It met my expectations - the broth is good, they gave a generous portion of meat, and enough noodle for one full service. One thing I noticed was that they didn't have any cilantro in the soup or on the plate of veggies, either. It was good but did not replace my favorite pho place in the twin cities. The ribeye isn't super tender or flavorful. I feel like a layer of flavor is missing in the broth although I can't pinpoint what it is. Also I didn't like the type of noodle they served. The service was attentive and quick. I liked the decoration. Very clean and neat. It would be a cute place for a date.
I've tried a lot of pho and I have to say, this was one of the best - definitely unexpected to find in Roseville, MN. I got a pineapple smoothie (nice it had real chunks of fruit in it) and the ribeye and brisket pho. The pho broth was fantastic, flavorful and (at least my bowl) very rich and fatty. I love a fatty broth so I really enjoyed it. Nice they also have chili oil for dipping. Restaurant was crowded when I came later on a weeknight. Lots of to-go orders too but I'm glad I ate there as I feel like pho tastes way better eating at a restaurant versus via takeout. Service was prompt and friendly. If I'm ever in the area, I would definitely come back. I hope this wasn't a one-off and it's consistently this good, because I was very impressed.
When we visited it was a bit crowded but gratefully the service was not slow. We ordered the stone pho and it was a pretty solid bowl flavor wise. It's pretty cool that the bowl stays pretty warm for a while. I liked the portions of protein and the eggrolls were so crispy and delicious.
Dare I say best bowl of soup I've had Ina while. I DO DARE. Seriously a great find! Was just leaving a job site and stopped by before heading back o the office in St Paul. The place itself is very modern, clean and tons of natural light. Staff was immediately attentive and had a seat right away although it was filling up quick over my lunch. I had the Pork broth with Farm chicken (thighs and fatty parts) and glass noodles wow wow wow! Sheer bliss. This is an extremely complex soup where you can taste the ginger, the garlic, the chilies used, and a bunch of different aromatic herbs that really just make this dish top notch. I'll be back for sure.

I had visited Stone Pho before at their Blaine location, but this was my first time at their Roseville location. Blaine was a bit far for me, so Im glad they are opening up new locations! Its been a few years, but I remembered that I loved their pho broth, and when I tried out their Special Pho, it did not disappoint! Its a bit pricey, but you also get a huge bowl. I can eat a good amount, but I was struggling to finish everything. Easily could split between two if you wanted. Service was quick. I arrived on a weekday evening and was seated fast and got my food quick as well. read more
Overall - very average! came in & were seated quickly even with it being busy - put our order in relatively fast! Service wise - it feels very much like they want you in and then they want you out. besides paying, we never saw our waitress after putting in our order & she told us if we need her to ring the button on the wall which felt, odd? For a small restaurant? overall - food was good! had truffle fries (crispy, flavored well) & ribeye pho (meat was a little fattier than normal, but it was flavorful. broth was rich & warm) also - so stinky inside. And I've been to a lot of pho restaurants and never had that issue but it smelled musty (it was raining outside so not sure if that played into it but WHEW) read more

I absolutely love Stone Pho they never disappoint. The Blaine location was closed, so we went to the Roseville/St. Paul location, and wow... it was so unbelievably busy. Loved their pho (make sure to get their fatty broth), banh mi (might be the best I've had so far in the twin cities) and their lychee tea but would probably skip on the bot chien and BBH next time. There's some parking available but can fill up really quick. It's a great place to hang with friends especially in the cold! read more
this is one of the best pho I have ever had - period. The place seems modern which is unlike lots of the Vietnamese restaurants. Well decorated and modern look. It serves pho and also other authentic looking dish. The pho seems a bit more pricey but it's different than any other places. The hot soup is in served in stone bowl and it's boiling hot. And you put the meat and noodles into the soup yourself. It's kinda like hotpot but without the flame. Soup takes great. Budgeting 35 per person read more

Not a lot of Vietnamese restaurants here offer this dish, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it at Stone Pho! It was pretty yummy, the broth tastes super clear and clean. I was hoping the quail eggs would be a bit more fresh, it does remind me of canned quail eggs, but I might be wrong! Still want to try again at some point! Staff was very patient! read more
Stone Pho in Roseville has always been a fantastic option and one of my favorite spots to get pho. The service is always quick and helpful, and the inside of the restaurant looks great. I also like the way they present the water cups and carafes. The food is consistently really good. I highly recommend the chicken wings, they are easily one of the best things on the menu. I have tried a few different pho options here and usually go with the special pho or the stone pho special when I want something a little different. The stone bowl is a really unique touch that I have not seen at any other places in Minneapolis. The broth is rich, the portions are generous, and they give you a good amount of meat in each bowl. I always add extra jalapeños and some of the spicy sauce, which makes it even better. They also have spring rolls and other options if you are not in the mood for pho. I have not tried the iced coffee yet, but that is next on my list. I would definitely recommend checking this place out, it is consistently really good. read more
Located behind Centro, Mi Sant, & Apple Bee's. Stone Pho in Roseville offers the same food options, pricing, and recipe. The staff were friendly and I did recognize one of the staff from the Blaine location. It is the same casual dining, but it is located in a stand alone building. I ordered my usual special pho. They offered a drink menu that has some dessert, which I don't think the Blaine location does. I ordered the coffee with cream cheese (ca phê phô mai) was delicious! I think the staff was making 10 of these in the hour! read more
Still in their soft launch phase when we went they were out of a few items and drinks we were interested in. Definitely will come back when they are more established. The service and atmosphere are quite nice and given the kind of old outdated look of the former restaurant willows gate they have remodeled it nicely. Having said that the food we did have was very good. The pho tasted pretty close to mother in laws homemade pho. The broth is definitely delicious and made fresh. I had the bun bo heo and it was large and delicious. I will probably be having this fairly regularly here. If you live authentic Vietnamese soups this is a great spot. Their coffee drinks are also a nice touch. read more
I am so happy this location opened! The service was fairly fast and the staff was very nice. I felt like we had plenty of room and space. I was very pleasantly surprised to find they have a Bun Bo Hue stone bowl. I am super critical of my BBH, and this did not disappoint. It was flavorful and very fresh. Also, for those of you who crave durian smoothies, they have them! It wasn't my favorite of the durian smoothies I've had, but it was definitely tasty. I will definitely be going back. read more
Been twice and it's already in my top 3 MN restaurants. The space is bright and welcoming, if a little crowded, and the staff are always incredibly friendly. Decent sized dedicated parking lot, but it gets crowded in the weekends so get in early. If it were closer I would be here once a week so maybe better it's not! Chrysanthemum tea is one of my favorite things and they do a great job. Gotten it both times and it's the perfect palette cleanser and stomach reset after the heat and richness to follow. The tofu bun cha was the best I've ever had. Really flavorful tofu, perfectly pickled veggies, and nice thin noodles that were just al dente. The salt & pepper squid was star of the show. Great texture, little bit of heat, and not too oily. They weren't rubbery at all and melted in your mouth after the initial QQ. Friend got the oxtail pho and that is a 2 person meal for sure. Served in a fired bowl so that it stays hot with the mixins on the side to cook a la minute. It'll stick to your ribs with all the collagen, for sure. Doing miss out on this spot. They've got a location in Blaine that I want to check out but this one is a new favorite I'll be sure to frequent. read more

Service was fast and attentive but the food is not that good. Portion wise the pho is generous but the soup was more on the bland side. The spring roll had VERY dry tasting pork slices in there. Plenty of seatings inside but make sure you bring a jacket or a sweater because it gets chilly inside. I assume it's because of their stone pho so they have to up the AC, but I could be wrong. Overall it's worth a try if you're in the area but don't have your expectations too high. read more
It is an honor to be the first to review this location of Stone Pho in Roseville! My first impression of this place was, "Whoa, finally a Pho place in Roseville! And it looks awesome!" This location was plagued by a series of turnovers of unsuccessful restaurants, ranging from Pan Asian to an American Bar. Tucked in Perimeter Drive, yet clearly visible by shoppers at Patina, Turn Style, and Blaze Credit Union, next to Karta Thai. I was excited to learn that this is a second location of Stone Pho of Blaine. Walking up to the place, it was brightly lit, and very inviting. Walking in you are immediately greeted by the incredible aroma of Pho bone broth that has been simmering for hours. Along with the very diverse clientele, it was reminiscent of the old Saigon in Frogtown when they were in the former Long John Silver building: bustling, with full tables of families filled with food, sharing memories and insane food. The bright black and white dining room was as inviting as the outside, with trendy decor and get this: no boxes of takeout containers visible anywhere! There aren't cases of Sriracha and Hoisin lining the hallway to the bathrooms! Someone finally figured it out. I was greeted by a nice hostess and was seated right away. The menu was on point. This is a full on Vietnamese establishment: Pho, Bahn Mi sandwiches, Broken Rice Plates, Vermicilli Salads, along with the obligatory Pad Thai, stir fry dishes, and fried rice. They also have specialty Pho like oxtail, Bun Bo Hue, and even Lobster! Of course there is also bubble tea, and even Fried Sesame Balls and Vietnamese desserts. I saw a menu item I have never seen anywhere else (including places on Eat Street or Frogtown.) Banh Canh Gió Heo is a pork broth dish with thick noodles, quail eggs, pork hock, mushrooms, steamed pork rolls, and fried fish ball. To say that I was impressed is an understatement. I eat a lot of pho, and at one point I did a pho tour review around the city. The best broth hands down was this place at the Hmong Village called Three Ladies, where they made a 16 hr broth. (They're closed.) I'm glad to report that the pork broth here is on par with Three Ladies, and even surpasses MT Noodle and Mandarin (Brooklyn Center), iPho (Frogtown), and the OG's Pho Tau Bay and Quang (Eat Street.) They performed the long simmer and the finishing of the broth perfectly, resulting in a deep long broth that is also popping in fresh flavor. The pork itself was so flavorful that I didn't even ever have to dip it in Hoisin/Sriracha. The quail eggs were perfectly "œuf mollet" to quote the French lol. Well, we have been languishing in NE Minneapolis and Roseville for a proper Pho restaurant. (Sorry, for us purists Hai Hai does not count.) Now we have a gem and a destination! Next time we'll be sure to try the Bun Bo Hue and the Pho Dac Biet! read more

Last Wednesday got takeout. The service seemed altight. They were busy with a blazin AZN populasian. That was good! I am really really hoping that this was a hiccup. I got quarter chicken rice bowl. Rice was nice! Chicken was super crispy. I don't mind my meats a tiny bit rare, except chicken! I couldn't brave this one. Neither could my stomach. My date got special bahn mi. The char was great! Very flavorful and delicious pho! I'm originally from Vegas, where we have many great pho places. I've been searching for a good one out here in MN. I have to say this one is def at the top of my list! It is new to the Roseville area, therefore the inside is clean and modern. Service was excellent and quick! Perfect for a lunch stop. This has officially become my new favorite pho spot in the Twin Cities! I've been here more times than I can count since they opened at this new location. Their pho broth is rich and perfectly seasoned, and their portions are huge -- I always have leftovers to take home. They have a parking lot and plenty of table and bar seating. Service is fast and friendly and I believe they offer a discount if you pay with cash. If you decide to stop by on a weekend, I'd recommend coming early since they can get busy really quick. read more

I didn't like the noodles because it's not my pho noodle preference, but it was not bad. Service was great and the food came out fast and hot. We came on a Sunday afternoon for the first time. Had to wait a few minutes, but it was busy. Once seated we were able to order asap and our food came out within 5 minutes! Pad thai was sooo good and shrimp was juicy. My husband loved his pho. Love the bowl and cups used since it kept our water so cold and pho hot! Restaurant was clean, aesthetically pleasing, and friendly staff. Also, there is a ton of outdoor seating as well! Next time I'll try one of their yummy drinks. They had lots of choices. Definitely will come back again when in the area. read more

Roseville is their newest location. This location is much more spacious, but they're pretty busy. Food is similar to their other location in Blaine, except closer to town. This location is much more clean very nice ambience. The customer service was good except for our waitress who is lacking. We waited like 20 minutes and get our seat. Then after we got in, we step away to the bathroom and then they gave our table away so they have to find us new seat . I would've given it at five, but I'll waitress needs to be better, pretty lazy. I finally made it into here. Best food I've had in a while. My wife and I just came right in and sat at the juice bar. The entire table sections were full but room at the bar. Within a sec we had ice cold water and our delicious fresh springs rolls came out immediately after. Last bite of those, and bam our chicken wings with garlic fish sauce marinade came out. Best wings I might of ever had. Then our ribeye and brisket pho came. Also top notch, herbaceous, deep broth...truly authentic pho. The servers are friendly and attentive. Anything you need; they'll get it right away. I got a banh mi and chicken pho. They were...ok. The baguette was warm, crisp on the outside, and tender on the inside. Like eating a crunchy cloud. Good quality ingredients. But it didn't have much flavor, maybe because I asked for it without the paté. The "Vietnamese butter" was a sort of cross between mayonnaise and margarine. Same with the pho. Fresh pile of herbs and bean sprouts, steaming hot soup, lots of rice noodles and chicken. But it tastes kind of plain. I prefer the pho at Quang. read more
