Got a table right away on a Sunday for dinner. The cream cheese wontons came out quick and were hot, just lacked a little crisp. Lots of cream cheese ratio. Buon Bo Hue was spicy, had a good amount of meat. Pho broth was flavorful and passed for good pho. I hated the bowl, it is so narrow and you can barely fit any additional toppings. Nem Nuong was underwhelming, a lot smaller than expected. Banh Cuon is a weekend special. They were pretty thick and didn't absorb much of the sauce but had a good balance of filling and toppings. There was an automatic tip for a party of 5 and you save 4% if you pay in cash
Fun fact: Quang is as old as I am, established in 1989 it's truly a childhood staple of mine. We grew up going here every Sunday after church so there's so much nostalgia coming here. We used to go when they were across the street in the small space. To me this is the OG Vietnamese place to recommend when people ask where to get great Vietnamese food. Food is always good and service is great. It has been a long time since I've been here and I'm glad to see they still have a lot of options available, even weekend specials. I had to taste the banh cuon since that is a weekend specials and not easily found in restaurants. It did not disappoint. The nuoc mam was perfect. Filling was good but I wish there were more fresh herbs for garnish. Bun Bo hue was filled with meat and protein!! I can't believe how much was in there. I normally don't like a ton of meat but this was so tender I ate it all. Pho was good. Broth had a strong star anise flavor but I like that. The mi hoanh ton soup was good but not the best. The wontons were huge! I appreciate the amount of protein in it. Cream cheese wontons flavor was good, wish there was more than 4 pieces per order though. Nem nuong serving size was pretty small. Wish we would've ordered the nem nuong spring rolls instead. Bubble tea tasted like strawberry milk, very sweet. Not my favorite but my daughter gave it 10/10. Salmon rice was good, we were able to add eggs for $4. The chili oil is very hot so be careful how much you add. 4% discount if you pay in cash. Gratuity added for parties of 5 or more. Easy to grab to go at the front if you are in a rush. We grabbed more to go after we ate too. The tri color dessert was ok, not my favorite but I liked the sweetness of the coconut milk in there. We grabbed a banh mi that was ready to go and that was good! Bread was crispy, but maybe too much bread ratio to filling. Banh bao was massive too, expensive for $8.
Quick lunch for Mother day haven't been here in ages. Use to come here all the time when in the city. But there's so many other pho places to export in the suburbs But Lovin the weekend specials
I came to Minneapolis and someone that I trust from Minneapolis said I had to come to Quang and I had to get the pho. I went to Quang. I got the pho. And holy smokes I am a new man. What a fantastic bowl of soup on a hot day. I could have eaten a bathtub full.
Ambience: clean, inviting, nice space with plenty of tables. Service: very quick, no nonsense, accurate service. Food: We had beef pho, chicken pho, combo pho, spring rolls. The pho was all really good, though on the higher end for pho prices in the twin cities. There is only one size bowl, which was about medium sized. Spring rolls were ok. They seemed a bit dry or maybe they'd been sitting around awhile. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and would come back when in the area.
It's been 7 (!!) years since my first review so I'm just dropping in to say it's still one of my faves. I know *everyone* says that but it's true! What I love: - they have a parking lot - win for eat street! - the space feels very communal and I love that - service is limited to the necessities - take orders and get food - their ribeye pho is what dreams are made of - chicken pho is a close second for me - their gluten free rice paper egg rolls heal me - ambiance is cozy, especially since their renovation - portion sizes are great - I always still have leftovers to take home If you're reading this, just go. And if it's been a while since you've been, this is your sign. The perfect bowl of warm-me-up for winter!
I rarely find here but craving pho but Pho HOA was closed so this was the next option. Hands down the best egg rolls, $8.50 was 10/10 Vermicelli Beef Stir fry, $15 was 4/10 (slimy noodles, meat tastes full of MSG, tender & full of salt) Service 1/10 (took forever to get the check, got the same server that I had last time that never brings the chili oil when asked so I had to ask a different server... nothings changed). Banh Mi 0/10 (their cold cut banh mi does not have authentic head cheese... no head cheese at all... shameful to charge $10 Banh mi with no head cheese & lack of meats & veggies but such a big breaded Banh mi... they charge a "poor man Banh mi" with barely any filling for $10... shameful... I would only order Banh Mi at Lu's Sandwiches) Overall 2/10 for lack of authenticity. Rarely see other Asians eat here. That says a lot.
We were recommended to come here during our visit in Minneapolis and we're glad we did. We ordered bun bo hue and a grilled chicken vermicelli which was a safe pick. I was blown away by the bun bo hue because of the deep flavors that was also aromatic. It was the best I've had. The grilled chicken vermicelli was standard. The place was packed right as it opened. The ambiance was vibrant and lively. The servers were nice. Overall, I didn't expect the bun bo hue to be this good and recommend you check it out!
I can't believe it's been almost four years since my last visit here. I ordered the Angus Beef Ribyeye Pho. It did not disappoint. The beef broth was delicious and flavorful, there was plenty of the ribeye steak and crunchy vegetables in the pho. The service today was excellent with a smiling attentive waiter. My visit was late afternoon and the restaurant was quiet. There weren't too many people and I had plenty of space to feel comfortable. I'm not going to wait another four years before I visit again.
We've been coming here for like 20 years. Always consistent, always delicious. Even out of town family members request Quangs when they visit! Spring rolls, egg rolls, Bahn mi, pho, vermicelli salads, stir fry's, grilled pork rice platters, desserts...I think we've tried everything. We've also catered from them multiple times. Prices have increased and there's been some "shrinkflation" but we still keep coming.
This.place. I can't say enough about how incredible the food is here! My favorite is the weekend special - sea bass noodle soup - it's an incredibly delicate and flavorful dish - it never misses....seriously if you're new to pho or noodle soup, this place is a MUST to sway you!!
Finally got to try Quang to see if it was hyped up to be and it turns out... yeah it seemed a little too good to be true. So Quang was highly recommended by countless Minnesotans as being a great example of Vietnamese casual dining, and while there were some big positives, the food itself left something to be desired. Lets begin with the good. You enter and are politely greeted and I was seated immediately. Inside the modern and updated building, it's giving an upscale vibe with tons of businessmen and women chatting about work and seats are extremely close to one another. You order and the food comes out in less than 2 minutes. Service is very fast for American standards. I ordered the Pho Tai, a sliced beef pho which is what I normally get at any other Pho spot, but I also tried the 402. combination platter with pork, fried rice. The dishes are high quality, insulating bowls that don't burn you when you grab it, which are nice touches. Pho Tai: 8/10 Definitely good pho, I thought it met its expectations, but I did feel like the broth here is slightly inferior to what you'd get at Lotus. Little thinner that I would personally like but not bad. Combination Pork Plate (402): Can't remember the exact name, it was 402 on the menu but Imo this is a 4/10, I did not like this. For the price of close to $15 this is easily worse than the $13 Pho, and it definitely feels and tastes mid. I rarely have to add sauce to it but everything was very dry and the pork wasn't great. Balancing it out the food and ambiance combined makes this a 7/10. Positives include the modern look and speed of service while food brings it down. Not what I expected when coming in but I'm confident to say that is Quang currently with these 2 example dishes.
I had really bad service from a very unprofessional and rude waitress there, and stopped going there for years. I decided after a while to give them a chance again by just doing a pickup order. I ordered their Fried Vegetable Dumplings which comes in 6, and this is what they served me. See pics. It was a pickup so I was already home when I opened it up. I would have returned these had I ate inside the restaurant. $8.18 for burned up, crunchy, oily dumplings. Couldn't even taste them they were so burned. How you can burn food this bad and think, "oh I'll just pack it up for a paying customer"?? It shows how much they really don't care about their customers. Shame on you Quang! Do better! I will never go back there again and do not recommend this restaurant. Bad service and bad food.

Part of me really wants to like this place, and part of me knows it's not fair to judge by what you can get in 714 vs. 612. Inside is large and spacious enough, the menu covers all the basics, and there's just enough parking in the area. Friends enjoyed the banh mi and bun, the chicken wings were pretty solid, but let's be honest-- chicken wings are usually delicious! Nem nuong cuon and gui cuon (grilled pork patty and shrimp, respectively) summer rolls were both entirely forgettable, although the latter were better than the former. And the bun bo hue, while good enough, was definitely lacking somewhere in the umami that I'm used to when in Westminister or Garden Grove. Again I may be judging too harshly here, but I definitely left feeling slightly underwhelmed. read more
We've tried a lot of Vietnamese food in the suburbs but wanted to see what the OG Vietnamese restaurant in Mpls is like. We went for lunch on a Saturday and got a table right away. Happy to see that they have ample parking in the lot. Not sure when they renovated but we really appreciated thd more modern look. Cozier and nicer. Ordered - 104. CHA GIO, 108. BANH TOM CHIEN, 520. GA NUONG, 505. PHO TAI Weekend special- 601. BANH CUON and 604. BUN CA KIENG GIANG The cha gio was good but we've had bettter (MT Noodles still wins) The Bahn Tom Chien was new to us, we saw several tables ordered it and got on the bandwagon- it's a winner and will go back just for this My daughters really liked the grilled chicken banh mi / ga nuong - so big they could only eat half Hubby enjoyed his pho tai The bahn cuon was good & meaty I really enjoyed the weekend special fish noodle soup - it is quite fishy so might not be for everyone; but something i don't see often in a menu Service was quick & friendly. read more

When I say this place brings back memories, I mean it really brings back memories; I'm pretty sure this entire aspect of the restaurant was the fourth earliest memories that came to mind--right after my dinosaur toys, eating crayons, and watching Blue's Clues. To this day, this well-deserved recognition of a classic gem Vietnamese restaurant has made it my family's go-to spot, with every dish evoking both my childhood memories and theirs from when they lived in Vietnam. Of course, I always vouch for the pho, but you really can't go wrong with any of the other options. A smart touch to display and showcase a variety of Vietnamese foods and drinks near the entrance for those stopping by for a quick bite or takeout. The 2019-2020 renovation was also much needed to meet the current high demand and popularity, so I'm glad it was completed. read more

We went here for dinner on a Saturday evening and it wasn't too busy. Luckily they have lots of space so we were seated right away. The wait staff was friendly and provided good service. We got the cream cheese wontons for our app and dang they were delicious. The table also got a traditional Banh mi, lemongrass chicken and grilled beef & egg roll noodle salad. All the food was great! Lemongrass chicken was perfect spice level. Banh mi bread was the perfect consistency. The noodle salad was filled with fresh veggies and the grilled meat really was tastey. read more
Visited 12/14/25. I've been wanting to pay my first visit to Quang for years and I finally made it (will definitely return sooner though). They have a lot out front, which is super nice parking-wise. We didn't make a reservation and came in for lunch on a Sunday. We were seated right away and our waitress was kind throughout. She made really great suggestions when we asked our specific questions and I was so glad I took her advice of what weekend special to order. I got the bun rieu (crab and pork noodle soup) Sunday special, my mom got the grilled beef noodle salad, and my sister got the vegetarian egg roll noodle salad. I have a bit of a cream cheese wonton addiction so I added those on last minute as well. Wow am I glad I did. These were the best wontons I've had in a really long time. Something about the dough of them made them have a slight chew to them and both my sister and I agreed we were so glad we got them. Everything else was phenomenal too. The bun rieu Sunday special warms your soul and if you like seafood type flavors with a beautiful tomato broth, you will absolutely love this. The salads were both delicious in their own right-shout out to both the beef and the veg egg rolls. The best part was how much extra food we ended up with-lots of leftovers for a future meal. We all agreed we would come back in a heartbeat. Highly highly recommend. read more
I've heard so many good things about this spot and finally went to check it out! I ordered the beef & meatball pho and it was soo good! I love how flavorful & savory this was. I also ordered the lychee boba and that was very sweet. It's a bummer you can't make it less sweet. Overall the service was good. The ambiance is fine. This is a casual eatery. read more
I love a no-frills Vietnamese spot serving up big delicious bowls of pho. No roadside robbery, or "creative" Asian inspired cocktails, what you see is what you get. While Quang offers other Vietnamese classics like bahn mi, rice platters, and bun, I'm a sucker for pho and their pho slaps. I got the pho with the works: angus, tendon, brisket, tripe, meatballs and they gave plenty of noodles and protein. Even without the condiments, you can tell the soup was boiled for hours. Remember to ask for some chili oil and throw that in with the aromatics. That's a perfect meal for a rainy day . My partner enjoyed himself the pork chop platter which came with rice and a side salad. The pork was tender and well seasoned. To wash it all down, my partner and I downed two coconut juices to balance our savory entrees. The only additional thing we had was the fried vegetable dumplings that we could've skipped on. The holy trinity of delicious food, quick service, and affordability makes Quang the ideal food spot, especially if you're coming out of the MIA. Just take a short walk and you got yourself a delicious meal. read more
This is my favorite pho place in the twin cities. Its a bit expensive but the pho is consistently delicious. On the weekend they have this ribeye pho that melts in your mouth - oh its so gooood. I love the broth here, the flavors are so deep. I usually recommend the cream cheese wontons and the honeycomb bread here. Its always a bit busy and the service isn't always attentive but would come here regardless. They have a parking lot right outside which usually has a couple of open spots. read more
Did I order the wrong thing? What I got the (no. 512) Vegetables and tofu with rice noodle. The taste for this soup tasted a bit different to me, I am not sure what the seasoning that was added but it was not familiar for me and I couldn't pinpoint it. It did not taste veg full. I also got the fried vegetarian dumplings. These were ok, nothing to write home about. Overall it was just ok, nothing special. Maybe I bought the wrong items. Environment (I am not from here) There seems to be quite a number of restaurants on this strip. The interior is quite big and has plenty of seating available, though ive heard that it could be very busy. Niceness of the staff Very fast casual place. The servers were very attentive. I did notice that the server was holding the soup bowl in a way that his thumb was sticking into the soup.. maybe it can't be helped? Just not a good look. I also didn't like that they grouped the appetizers, ie when the table ordered fried cream cheese and vegetarian dumplings. Dollar It was reasonable for dinner Yes I would probably skip unless someone convinces me to get something that they are good at. read more
Loved this place! If you're looking for a vibrant spot on a Friday night, this is where the crowd is. We were visiting out of town and decided to try their bun bo hue - it did not disappoint! The flavors were packed with spice, just the way I love it. The dish came out in about 5 minutes, which was impressive. We also tried the rice plate with grilled pork. The pork was delicious, but I would have liked a little more spice in the nuoc mam (sauce). The only thing missing was a side of soup, but that's a small detail compared to the overall experience. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was perfect for a lively night out. Definitely recommend this spot for great food and a fun atmosphere! read more
I thought the Chicken Pad Thai was delicious and the portion was so large it gave me three meals! Lovely spice to it, chicken was nicely cooked, and the noodles had just the right bite to them. The Pork Egg Rolls were outstanding, with a crispy wrapper that shatters with every bite yet not overly greasy. I love fish sauce, so I got extra. My mouth is watering as I type this! The only miss - but it was a big one - was the Shrimp Spring Rolls. Typically a favorite of mine, there was way too much rice paper wrapper, so it was thick and chewy and I ended up scraping the filling out and throwing away the wrapper. read more

we arrived around 4:30 PM on a Thursday and were quickly seated. The restaurant is spacious and there were not many people at this time. I had the pho tai. it was tasty and had a good amount of noodles and meat. I did end up adding some Sriracha and hoisin sauce to the broth to add a little bit more depth to the flavor. We also had the cream cheese wontons, which were good and filling. They have a parking lot, which is nice for the area so you don't need to stress looking for some. They only have two bathrooms for the restaurant, and every time I've visited, there's been a line or wait to get to the bathroom. For the size of the restaurant, I think it'd be nice to have more bathrooms accessible. read more

One of my friends favorite restaurants. I tried and I loved the service and food. Try the soaps. I liked it is easy to find and it has its own parking. Really recommend. Loved the decoration inside and the environment was clean. read more
Quang is still good, but the food was not as great as it used to be. The ambiance is gorgeous and you can order quickly even if you have a large group. Service was so quick and efficient, especially considering how many customers filled their restaurant on New Year's Day! Ordering was fast and easy even though we split the bill into 2 families for our table. Different servers took turns bringing out our food as soon as each dish was ready. My only complaint is that most of the people in our large table of 9 had already finished their food before the last person was served their pho soup. I suggest ordering appetizers like eggrolls or spring rolls so we can still eat together. Ambiance is adorable with abundant natural lighting. I liked the gender neutral bathrooms, so I didn't need to wait as long. Here's what I tried during this visit: 310. BUN BO NUONG + CHA GIO grilled beef and eggrolls (3/5). I've ordered this 9 of the 10 times I've been here. Today, the eggrolls were perfect but the grilled beef tasted dry like it was grilled 5 hours ago and just reheated before serving. 406. Seating was quick, excellent service, a real parking lot with free parking...incredible! I ordered the cold noodle salad with grilled shrimp. It was light, filling and tasty. We also got the vegetable fried dumplings which were like $1 a piece and very small. I'd pass on these as an app. The bubble tea with ice cream on it looked very enticing but didn't get around to it. Right on Eat Street, Quang is always a hit! It's no wonder they're always busy. The food is consistently tasty, with lots to choose from on the menu and awesome weekend specials. My go-to's are the pho tai (angus beef), the pad thai, and the banh mi (only available during lunch). Don't miss out on their huge, amazing chocolate chip cookies and the must-have Vietnamese coffee. Their parking lot can get full but the neighborhood will typically have some street parking available. read more

It's been awhile but this place is as good as ever. We had the lemongrass chicken that was amazing. I had a stew with noodles, beef and pork hocks. It was great. We also got the shrimp pho which wasn't great but still tasty. We started with spring rolls that were very tasty. read more
