Gigi's is an energetic cafe with plenty of pastry, drink, and breakfast options. You order at the counter and the staff brings your order to the table. The walls are covered in for-sale art by local artists. It's a feast for the eyes and adds a ton of character. I had a yogurt parfait with their homemade jam and it was fantastic. I've also heard rave reviews of their biscuits and jam. read more

Gigi's Cafe in Uptown was a solid brunch stop. I ordered the Nutty Professor coffee and a breakfast wrap and both were really good. The only funny part was I asked for avocado in the wrap and they just gave it on the side instead, which felt a bit random, but it didn't take away from the meal. Overall it's still a really solid spot if you're looking for brunch in the area. read more

Have driven past year many times. Always was curious and wanted to check it out. First I love the name of this place. I know a couple Gigi's so I thought the name was cute. The outside patio and entrance area was also cute. I think it'll even be cuter in the spring and summer as the snow covered a lot of the patio area. The inside has a classic coffee cafe feel to it. Bigger than I expected inside. The menu prices weren't bad. Food was actually kinda cheap in my opinion. I ordered the the classic breakfast which came with eggs, red potatoes or greens, and toast with jelly. The food was pretty good. Nice balance of flavor. Id get again. I also ordered the nutty professor latte which had good whip cream but I felt it was overbearing with the nuts on top I couldn't really get to the whip...I guess that's why it's called the nutty professor though. The drink tasted like a sugar cookie. I was a bit confused why a hot coffee drink would be put in a glass. Staff was kind and helpful. Nice coffee selections and bakery looked decent. Not a bad spot overall. read more

Gigi's has recently changed hands, and the new iteration is well worth a visit. Located in a somewhat drafty building, this no-frills homey café offers great pastries, coffees and teas, as well as breakfast, bowls, sandwiches, soups and salads, and entreés. Our group of seven enjoyed cream cheese ravioli, the chicken cob salad, and a salt-free burger on a great bun, with homemade kettle chips. There is no table service. Order at the counter, and the staff will bring the food to your table. When done, you can leave the dishes on the table, but bussing your dishes is appreciated. Gigi's is a great place to meet friends, hang out, and enjoy good food in a relaxed neighborhood home away from home. read more

We all enjoyed our food! I got the vegan breakfast burrito and liked it, but I was still hungry, as it didn't come with any sides like other entrees seemed to. Service was very kind. Love all the art in the cafe, along with an array of seating options. read more

Love this local neighborhood spot! I ordered an iced caramel coffee and the jalapeño queso scramble with potatoes. It was so good! I can't wait to have it again! The staff/barista's were very friendly. The place is cute and I love that they display local art for purchase! Can't wait to go back! If you haven't been, check it out! read more

Gigi's Café is a great laid-back counter-ordering restaurant with excellent coffee and baked goods. Their breakfast biscuit sandwich is amazing as is the goat cheese and mushroom scrambled eggs. Highly recommend. read more

The iced coffee and service were great. Nice to find a local business doing great! I can't wait to go back.

Was looking for a nice Sunday brunch option without a wait today and stumbled upon Gigi's! Plenty of free street parking on the surrounding blocks, and we were able to get seated right away--it's a counter-order place where you get a table number and they drop the food off to you, and the staff are all super kind and helpful, with great recommendations. We started with a mango lime coconut scone that was DELICIOUS--the exact right texture, and not too dry as some scones are. For my main, I got the curried vegetable hash, which was so fresh--the vegetables were perfectly cooked and seasoned, to where they still had a bit of bite to them and weren't drowned in seasoning. My eggs were a perfect over-easy, and the heritage grain toast and jam that came with it were packed with flavor! I also got a side of bacon and their deli salad, which was currently a chickpea-cucumber situation. The bacon was thick but still incredibly crispy, and the salad was great! The space itself is so welcoming--lots of great natural light, and the walls are positively FILLED with local art! I must've counted at least half a dozen artists with their own wall space. The perfect spot for brunch, on any day of the week! read more

Love it! Several family members and I have recently been spending time in this adorable neighborhood, and Gigi's plays a big part in making it feel like a home. They have a lunch menu of salads and sandwiches available throughout the day, a breakfast menu available until 3pm, and a dinner menu in the evening. Lots of coffee drinks! Some very sweet ones! Also a display case is full of cookies and scones; we really liked the raisin cardamom scones. We've had great lentil soup and I just had a cool hot honey chicken sandwich. Very pleasant service from a high-energy crew. Order & pay at the front register and they'll bring it to your table. There's quite a lot of seating, indoors and out, but they can still be very busy so bear that in mind. They do have some adult beverages, some of which are available at a happy hour discount from 2pm to 5pm. I really like it here. read more

Was just in for coffee and to connect with a friend. I walked in with a coffee shop mindset, but it is a cafe. Fun funky space, the folks working were all business, but were not unfriendly. Professional. My latte was good, I would have liked it to be hotter. I'll come back sometime and try this place properly but it looks great from the brief experience I had! read more

Really good food choices with natural ingredients from around the area. They have quite a wide variety of art that displays local artists as well so spend some time looking around the walls. Cute little cafe!! Lots of coffee, breakfast, lunch, and snack options! Order at the counter and find a table. We came on a Monday at noon and it was rather empty. Good quiet place to study at this time. The baked goods all looked great, I'll have to try one next time. The breakfast burrito was really good and the perfect portion!! You can add bacon or sausage or avocado for an extra charge. read more

This place is FANTASTIC! From their beverage menu to their hot food to their baked goods, everything is delicious. We both had their biscuit breakfast sandwich, my husband had his with bacon. The egg was luscious and the cheese was perfectly mixed throughout the egg. And that homemade biscuit was the best we've ever had. The baked goods were all very fresh and tasted amazing. We had scones and bear claws, we can't wait to go back! read more

At first, I was surprised that this nice café was so full of people; however, after eating there once or twice, it became self-evident why it is so well-frequented.Every time I go there, I order the same thing: a cappuccino, French toast, and a parfait--and I can highly recommend it to everyone. read more

Absolutely love certain breakfast items. Wish they had other bread and salad dressing options though. The dressing is very bitter, gingery. Sometimes I don't even get the dressing with the salad in my delivery order but thats ok bcuz i dont like it anyways. The chive scramble with potatos is the way to go but if u dont want this, over medium eggs and toast is always good. The drinks are really what get me cuz they have lots of fun beverages. This boosts the score from the problems had with service and the dressing. read more

Gigi's is enchanting. This is my favorite neighborhood breakfast spot. It's also my favorite spot to meet for coffee. Each cup is consistently tasty (take a lesson, Lowbrow) and the servers are 100% sparkling souls to be treasured. Each one of them makes our visit feel special I also love that the walls are COVERED with the work of local artists. Kinda like a gallery, only cozy. There's even a little bio of each artist so you can follow their socials and see more of their work. read more

If I could give Gigi's more stars, I would. This place is the neighborhood -- the heartbeat of our little corner of the city. Whether I'm grabbing a coffee, settling in to work, or catching up with friends, Gigi's is always where I want to be. It's not just a café -- it's a true third space. The kind of spot we're all craving these days -- cozy, central, welcoming, and real. What makes it special? The people. The staff treats you like family. Like actual family who like you and remember your name. And I have to shout out Lora, the manager -- she's a total gem. I'm constantly trying to recruit her for other jobs because she's that good. But truly, Gigi's is lucky to have her -- and so are we. Beyond the killer service (which is always 5-star), Gigi's goes above and beyond for the community. They support local artists, host incredible music and art galas, and are deeply philanthropic -- giving back through partnerships with nonprofits like Art Shelf and others. They don't just say they support the neighborhood -- they show it, over and over again. And maybe the most important thing: everyone belongs here. My cousin, who recently came out as trans, was so nervous to go out and be themselves. But this was the first space where they truly felt comfortable, safe, and seen. That kind of radical welcome? You can't put a price on it. Simply put: Gigi's is it. If you're looking for great coffee, warm people, creative energy, and a place that makes you feel like you belong -- this is your spot. Forever and always. read more

I do not for the life of me understand why this place has customers. I think it's just the art community. I could make the food that is served here, at home and have it taste the same. This place is WAY too expensive for that to be the standard. The workers are also all clearly miserable and hate the owner. Place is weird at best. read more

I live in the neighborhood and have been meaning to stop by Gigi's for a while now. I finally went for breakfast and got one of the egg scramble dishes, served with toast and potatoes. There was also a homemade blueberry lemon jam for the toast that was amazing and wished I could take a jar home! The potatoes were a little disappointing, just kind of bland and nothing super exciting about them. Would be great if they were crispy or seasoned better. They have a great outdoor patio on a quieter street in uptown. The service was good and the food came out fairly quickly. Overall a nice experience, but not my favorite spot for going to breakfast in the cities. read more

One of the better cafes in the area and one of the best with more extended hours. The breakfast burrito was awful and I didn't return for like 4 years...but the cobb salad? Perfection. Thank you for my life, etc. Food comes out quickly even when they're experiencing a rush. Tea is from Tea Source, high quality. The space is cute even though they clearly have a mold problem. But it's sunny and has a low-key chatty vibe. read more

The Curry Diva brought me here. She's here every Saturday at 5:30. I'm not the coffee shop hang out type person, but a few Saturday's ago I was. I was here in the morning to scout out the place and treated myself to a delicious hot cocoa. I also got a pumpkin apple soup. I enjoyed both on the sidewalk patio, along with a vegan cookie. Yes I am changing. Then I came back in the afternoon and hung out for a couple of hours waiting for my curry pick up. I had an iced tea that is truly one of my favorites. Probably more cookies too. You get a free refill. The music in the background was rare classic rock, i.e. Songbird by Fleetwood Mac and Let Me Roll It by John Lennon, off the top. The staff make this a great experience. Connor, Zack, and Trey are the coffee house gods. A beautiful neighborhood for beautiful people. read more

Grayish, unseasoned, cheap, chicken thigh slapped on two slices of burnt toast for $15. Wasted my money and my time.

Stopped by Gigi's for the first time; I should've gone way sooner!! I had the turkey melt on focaccia and it was absolutely delicious. My partner got the reuben which was good as well. They're good size sandwiches and served with kettle chips and pickles. I think it's a more than fair price for the amount and quality of the food. I also had a coffee drink that was super yummy and well made. The service was fantastic, so kind and helpful. I loved the vibe on the inside. A lot of board games, plenty of tables, good lighting and beautiful art. This is gonna become a regular place for me. read more

Me and an omnivore friend of mine went to Gigis the other day for brunch. It was a quaint environment, a great place to have conversations, lots of light, and great service. Both my friend and I ordered breakfast. I ordered the vegan version of the eggs with spinach and tomato. I received mine first and noticed the portion looked a little small. I thought, "huh... I guess the portions here are just kinda small. I can roll with that." The taste was decent, but not like, "holy cow!! This is the best!!!" It was edible and pleasant. Then, my friend got his eggs, and there was at least double the amount of food on his plate!! I was salivating a little by what I saw on his plate. I felt a bit short-changed because of my dietary restrictions. That's not fun. Vegans like to eat too! I would give Gigi's another go purely because the service was excellent. Maybe just not the tofu scramble. I look forward to giving this place another try. read more

Okay, great place to hang out. I wish I could plug in my sorry battery draining laptop before it runs out of juice. Thankfully, I planned ahead and bring plenty of duct tape strips with me! Highest recommendation. This place is fantastic! Super friendly staff. For a neighborhood cafe, they have a lot of choices. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash and the cashier said "Great choice - it's so good." If anything, she undersold it. Corned beef with sauerkraut (new one on me), new potatoes and 2 eggs. Amazing. Even though there was a large group in there, the staff checked on me a couple times. Normally when I travel I don't go to the same place twice. I'm making an exception for Gigi's and am already looking forward to tomorrow's dinner. read more

I was recently here for a breakfast meeting (with the toddler in tow). It's an order at the counter situation, with food brought out to your table when it's ready. It seems like parking can be a little tricky in the area, but there is a small lot behind the restaurant you can park in. (I missed this completely when I was there, and ended up looping the block a couple times looking for something.) I ordered the biscuits and gravy with eggs over easy, which was pretty good. The biscuit was especially flavorful, with a good texture. It was a little heavy on gravy, but I'm not one to complain about that! My only issue with Gigi's was that everything - table, chairs, floor, high chair - was incredibly sticky. Blehhhhhh. read more

Thr food was strange. Everyone was really nice there though and if I lived in thr neighborhood I would peobably hangout here.

Stopped in for takeout, two chicken pot pies. Got home and opened the boxes, and was disappointed with what I observed. I can't say I wasn't warned by prior reviews. The cardboard bowls held around 13 / 14 ounces, there was maybe 6 ounces of chicken stew in them, light on chicken. The side salad was mixed greens, but noticeably wilted, and it was nothing but greens. What I can say is, the flavors were on point, all the way. The salad dressing was very tasty, I did add croutons, cheese and tomatoes. The Pot pie was topped with a biscuit. The filling was very flavorful, the biscuit, a little plain, could use some herbs and cheese, but was very tasty. $13.00 per each pot pie seems a little much, flavor excellent, serving size needs to be grown. Opening a cardboard bowl and seeing, maybe half full, does not feel like I am getting my moneys worth. read more
