I'm Asian. Raised on rice. lol. So when I'm on the mainland in the middle of the country. I need rice. So here are Mall of America they have all the standard Chinese food places. Ruby Thai Kitchen just so happened to be one I haven't tried yet. Standard Chinese and Thai food. Rice and noodles combo with chicken and beef and broccoli. Yup. Pretty standard but filling. Staff were super friendly. The curry dishes here are also good

Mango chicken with noodles and bourbon chicken with white rice. Oh, and a $2.79 "large" pop.

It's all fun and games until you chew the meat! Now I see why they scour the meat for "just the right piece" of chicken when handing out samples. The two meals were reasonably priced, but when considering how much food was wasted due to being fried cartilage, the portions were actually pretty small. The service was fine. Typical for a food court establishment. The worst part was the size of the Pepsi. I'm not sure why they offer sizes, because the two sizes are one of the same and laughably small. A "large" was a very small, and flimsy, styrofoam cup that leaked onto me every time I attempted to hold it. The edible part of the food was overflowing with a ponzu flavor that dominated our mouths. I don't recommend this place.

I mean, it's what you expect it to be. It's not like you go to Mall of America and the CAN'T MISS spot is Thai kitchen. It's cheap and not too bad. I got the tofu eggplant (there was no eggplant, it was zucchini), with pad Thai (.50 extra - it was like a curry noodle) and a spring roll. The service was fine. It's in the food court so you find a table anywhere it's open. I tried Opa! (Greek) and liked that better.

    Look at the quantity. Smh

This place used to be good, but it had gone down recently. Their food was cold, quantity is very small (look at the picture) for more than $10. Never again i return to this place. Smh

Fast and friendly! They're all wearing face masks #COVIDlife TL;DR: this place is fast casual food court Thai food. And if you're down for that you'll probably like it at least ok! Probably one of the best meal deals you can find in the Mall. Choice of 3 entrees: salt and pepper fish, mango chicken, and spicy chicken; plus pad Thai. All for 9.99 (tax included!). P.S. they have a noodle bar to the right of the cashier. It's small and looks simple enough but pretty cool that they even have one!

Ruby Thai is located in the food court at the Mall of America. The employees will try to aggressively offer you samples of their mango chicken, or anything else on the menu if you look even remotely interested. She literally handed me two toothpicks worth of pad Thai. The food is greasy, lacks flavor (asking for a side of hot sauce is a must!), and tastes nothing like Thai food. To me it's actually Chinese food without all the soy sauce, and ingredients subbed in like fish sauce and rice noodles. There are plenty other places to waste your money on in the mall, IMHO.

Mango chicken taste like a variation of orange chicken Bourbon chicken is a barbecued grilled chicken Yellow noodles I would say is curry type chicken which taste more of the Indian style flavor. All the food was edible and we enjoyed the chickens but felt we rather have tried the fried rice or pad thai noodles. Can't beat $6.99 for a plate full of food though

Mall of America third level as you walk around the mall and get close to the food court, you'll hear a guy exclaiming "Good, Good, Good!" Once he has your attention it's a wrap, there give samples of most of their food just not the shrimp and fish. I had to try it and liked the Lemon pepper chicken and spicy checked with fried rice. They have several chicken meals, a few beef, and a few shrimp. They also have lo mein and rice noodle. Try the lemon pepper chicken if you can

Rude employees and they did not listen to what I was ordering. So frustrating. Watched them cross contaminate right in front of me.

After the first bite I knew it was way over salted but I was in a hurry. I thought if I added enough rice, it would be edible. It wasn't. I thought if I added enough lime it would be edible. I had to ask for lime and they brought me one entire wedge! It didn't help. It's possible they added some other seasoning to the salad but all I could taste was the salt. There was definitely no heat (chili pepper). There was mint but some of the leaves were black and rotten. I told the server the salad was way too salty. She said she would tell the chef so they would prepare it differently for me next time. There will be no next time.

In true family-style fashion we got plenty of dishes to share: some appetizers and some "main dishes" as well. The Xiao long bao and beef burrito are great starters. Both great portion sizes for main dishes with plenty to take home if needed. The restaurant is large and spacious nestled in a strip mall, and the service was fantastic. Dishes were tasty, and a bit salty for my liking but overall quite good! I will be back !
