Vegetarian restaurant is very rare in mid west, a good one is even more precious. Thanh Luong is one of those that the local vegetarian and vegans don't want to miss. The summer rolls, fried noodles, vermicelli bowl are delicious. The braised eggplant and mushroom was a bit too sweet, and the eggplants were cut way too big for the flavors to be soaked in. Services are great. Price is beyond reasonable. Portion is very generous. Would love to come back more often!

VEGAN REVIEWER! Really enjoyed my last two visits here and making it my spot! Had the bun hue the first time and then banh cảnh the second time. The bun hue was really delicious. The only thing I'd change is add more rice noodles. The banh cảnh was so delicious with these vegan fish cakes that reminded me of my experiences of can tho food. THERES these wonton crackers which have egg, just heads up. The broth itself is not the goopy kind I grew up on, but so delicious. And it's a big proportion! Would come back!

Sweet people, awesome service, and delicious food! What more can you ask for? My family and I journeyed over to the area because I love the idea of a vegan Vietnamese restaurant. We tried the canh chua, ca kho, bun rieu, and bun hue. Everything we ordered was delicious and tasted like the real deal. While it's hard to replicate bun (bo) hue to a vegan version, they make a delicious version that has all the fixings that a traditional meat bowl would. I don't know how they make all their mock foods but it's really good and textured way too well. I wish this place wasn't so far from me but definitely a great spot to get some vegan Vietnamese food!

Sweet tofu dessert

Friendly and prompt service. Very busy with done in and take-outs. My daughter enjoyed her Vietnamese udon noodles soup. Need to have a little soy sauce but it was still tasty. I loved the water spinach/hollow vegetable sauteed in garlic. It was go6ne cooking to the finest. I could eat it everyday if I live closer. The braised tofu in black pepper was ok. It was too sweet and not enough spice for me. I didn't like the vegetables because it was so much of it and it felt like it was from frozen. The ambiance is dark lighting and loud with small dining area. Will make it back when I'm in area again even though it's a little pricey.

Loved this place - great location, good decor, super nice people and amazing food! Really hit the spot for pho, also recommend the egg rolls for sure.

Steamed dumplings and tofu pho

Everything we tried was delicious! We got G8 lemongrass tofu with sauce, C3 tofu pho, A2 spring rolls with mint, steamed dumplings! Great staff, lots of parking and nice ambiance. So happy to find amazing vegetarian restaurant. I will definitely come here many times.

Still in grand opening mode. Quick and friendly service. Beautifully presented food. My kid said it was the best orange tofu. We all had leftovers from our food. I will be back!

"When we saw this place online, I was initially reluctant to visit because I'm not a big fan of tofu, and I've never eaten anything without meat. However, I decided to give it a try, thinking it's always a good idea to expand your palate and try new things. Upon arrival, we found the restaurant to be quaintly decorated, nothing fancy but still nice. Once we sat down, the servers greeted us warmly and were very helpful and attentive. We started with veggie egg rolls, which came out quickly. I ordered the red noodle curry with veggie chicken, and my fiancée ordered the spicy veggie beef noodle Bún bò huế. She said it was delicious and flavorful, but not very spicy. My entree was also delicious, surprised as I was that I enjoyed sweet potato, which was included in the curry. The veggie chicken was also a pleasant surprise and went well with everything else in the dish. The only downside was that my fiancée asked for a water refill, but it never arrived. The service started out great but fell short towards the end. Nonetheless, I'd like to mention that the veggie egg rolls were also very tasty. We plan to return since we see potential in this restaurant, but they need to improve their service from start to finish."

Had to come back and try more stuff. Everything was as good as before or better! Service is great and they're very helpful if you have any questions. It's a small dining room and gets pretty slammed with both walk-in and to-go orders around 5-5:30 so you might wait a bit to get your food but it's worth it. The veggie pork was amazing and had the texture of pork belly. Crispy "skin" and the "fat" had the QQ you want. Pulled apart in layers just like the real thing. Was amazing and I'd get it again. I was surprised it didn't come with rice. The "Five Salad Sampler" was my favorite dish of the night. Loads of different textures, flavors, and color. Every bite was loaded with flavor and was big enough to be a meal or two. I would order this as an entree. The rice crackers are always a winner in my book. Lemongrass tofu was ok. A little soggy and a bit sweet for my taste but not bad at all. Was hoping for something more like the spicy tofu from Pho Mai. So far it's a 3-way tie between the sampler salad, sweet and sour soup, and vegan pork for my favorite dishes. Thanh Luong has taken up there spot as my favorite Vietnamese place; vegetarian or not. We'll definitely be back to try even more stuff soon.

Just wanted to update photos because they disappeared from my last reviews. I can't wait to visit the place again soon.

I was in disbelief that I stumbled onto a vegetarian vietnamese restaurant.. I crave all the dishes that they have on their menu and let me tell u. everything was amazing!!! I asked my siblings to meet me there and they didn't even know they weren't eating real meat. my sister got her usual pork chop platter and couldn't believe how flavorful it was. I commented and said whoever the chef is knows what they are doing bekuz if u can make vegan food fire then u know what ur doing 10/10 high recommend.. everything we ordered everything we got was fire.

Today I tried their Roast Beef on Weck, which is carved roast beef on a type of roll called a Weck (a Kaiser-style roll topped with coarse salt and caraway seeds.). The restaurant was busy, and this is not a trendy place! I'd be surprised if there was anyone in the restaurant who was not of Medicare age (which also describes me; I'm not being ageist, just truthful). This is something that is available for lunch, during the week (not on weekends). Previously, I wanted to order this before. It was at the beginning of the lunch hour, so unfortunately the end pieces were cooked well-done. I asked if they would cut from the center, which is much more rare, but they wouldn't do that. This time, we came later and I could see that the roast beef was gloriously rare, which is what I like. The sandwich was quite enjoyable because it was juicy and flavorful. It comes with a side of cole slaw which is vinegar based (which I liked, but isn't traditional in the Midwest). It's difficult to find good, rare roast been in the Twin Cities, so this was another good find. My wife had the matzo ball soup, which remains high quality. The beef on weck sandwich (with coleslaw) was nearly $20, which is a bit on the expensive side. The service is spotty. It depends upon who is your waitstaff person (I knew it would be slow based on our previous experience with this person).

I'm surprised their average star rating is so low! We had a nice experience here recently…read more We stopped in for a bit of breakfast and to get some bread for the week + a birthday dessert. They have quite a bit of baked goods out, especially bread loaves, for folks to wrap up and take to the counter to buy. We picked out a white bread loaf and browsed the pies. We came closer to noon, so the baked goods like croissants and scones were pretty picked over and not labeled - the main tricky part of picking out what to have. My brother trapped what he guessed was a savory scone. I opted for a chocolate mousse cake from the patisserie display. I also ordered a sausage lentil soup. Counter service was to-the-point but efficient. We found a spot to sit easily - quite a bit of seating here plus a communal table too. I LOVED the soup! So delicious. My brother enjoyed his scone as well. I am dying to try their other soups now!

She berated him and told him it's a stupid order and not to take orders like that while I was standing there. I've been drinking coffee for 40 years and never had a problem getting half a pump of vanilla, I know Edina wouldn't know coffee if it slapped them in the face but it's not rocket science that I just want a little hint of vanilla in there. There are other employees that are great but I'm guessing this lady treats them poorly, hopefully she is not in charge. I won't be back and will be recommending my network to avoid.

The samosas - we'd skip the lamb, it was dry on the inside and didn't taste much like lamb. The vegetable ones were better and you could taste the seasoning in them.
