Qué Việt has built a reputation around those things for a reason. The food is comforting, generous, consistently delicious and completely without pretense. It's the kind of neighborhood restaurant that eventually stops feeling like somewhere you decided to eat and simply becomes your place. That's what Qué Việt became for me. There's also something strange about returning to restaurants you depended on when you lived somewhere. You walk through the door years later on vacation, order familiar food, and for an hour you're not really visiting anymore. You're just back. I wish this place nothing but good things.
