Amazing Vietnamese coffee
Molly B.

My Huong Kitchen is worth the trip to Eat Street in Minneapolis. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there was a short wait for a table. As soon as we got our food, I could see why! I had the lemongrass beef bahn mi and the bread was the star of the show. It had a light, buttery exterior that melted in your mouth as soon as you bit into it. The bread itself was light & airy and didn't overwhelm the filling. I could've used a little bit more pickle on the veggies in the sandwich but they were still fresh & crisp. Also got the egg rolls, which had lots of flavor but were a little on the cold side, like they had already been cooked before we ordered. The Vietnamese coffee was amazing!! One of the best ones I've had in Minneapolis. The owner, Tracy, is such a sweetheart! She came over to check on us while we were eating and made us feel so welcome She is doing great things to support the Minneapolis community right now so it's the least we can do to support her business in return! There is a parking lot to park in right outside of the restaurant, which makes the trip a bit easier. Highly recommend!

Don't let the looks fool you, this is a home made style kitchen. Try the Pho , it's made with love

This place is an absolute gem. The owner Tracy is the sweetest person you will meet and she makes it a point to come by and talk to every single table. She really makes you feel at home and like family and that makes the experience here that much better. The food is also incredible, I had the chicken curry noodle soup and the broth was to die for and it was loaded with well cooked and seasoned chicken and fresh veggies and noodles. We also got the bahn mi sandwich and let me tell you, the baguette this came on was probably the best I've had, it was so crunchy on the outside and I wish I got another one. The pork inside was melt in your mouth and the pickled veggies on top were perfect. Amazing local spot with incredible staff!

If you find yourself going back to Quang again and again, please give this nearby spot a try! The owner here, Tracy I believe is her name, is absolutely INCREDIBLE - she came out and chatted with us multiple times, asking how we liked the food and about ourselves. She even gave my husband some plant starters to take home from her herb collection! It's clear she takes a lot of pride in growing a lot of her own produce and herbs, and you can taste the freshness in her food. The quality of food was amazing - her pho and vermicelli noodle salad can hang with the best of 'em on Eat Street. I loved the ambiance in here - bright and greenery, with the feeling that you were a welcomed guest in her home. Her food is amazing, but her commitment to meeting, greeting and welcoming her guests is what makes My Huong Kitchen stand out on Eat Street! We'll definitely be back.

First off, I love that they have their own lot. It's awesome that you don't have to deal with the street parking. The space is nice and cozy. It's well lit and super clean. Service was quick and they're super nice. I had the bun thit kho, egg rolls, and Durian Smoothie. Over all they were pretty decent. The smoothie is definitely the stand out. These are hard to find and even harder to find good quality ones. This was a absolutely delicious! I'll be back for that for sure!

Tracy the owner is a Superstar! During the recent protest during the murder of Alex Pretti she took in the gassed protesters! She helped them get warm wash their eyes from the tear gas. It's a small place filled with warmth and great food! Please go enjoy and tip well!!!

Relaxed clean and causal restaurant with friendly hosts. Went on a Friday evening and we were seated immediately. There were a few other parties and it was not too loud. The restaurant was lit well with nice decor. The food was awesome! I ordered pho and my friend ordered the chicken curry. My Pho was so flavorful and the broth was deliciously savory. I appreciated that the broth was not too salty. They also had delicious pickled jalapeños that were the perfect addition.

I believe that since COVID they have transitioned to takeout only, and it's great to see that the business is still thriving even if they are still operating under the takeout only model despite how the world has evolved away from the pandemic. For the few dishes that I came here for, qualities varied, with some dishes lacking flavor while others simply sloppily created. The Hainanese chicken relied solely on the extra dipping sauces for flavor while the chicken itself had no flavor alone. The nasi lemak had good flavor mainly because of the sambal, and the chicken had good texture. I didn't see any peanuts in the dish, which I thought was needed for nasi lemak. The sizzling beef and ginger scallion duck had pretty expected flavor because of their ingredients, meaning that what they looked like was what they tasted like, if that makes sense. When I got food from there a second time 4 months later, overall the food was better. The chili tofu wasn't spicy at all even if I asked for spicy in my original order. The char kway teow had both good flavor and soft texture, allowing a positive tasting experience. The sambal shrimp had a good amount of vegetables and not enough shrimp, and had very good flavor because of the sambal infused with the dish. Because their menu is huge, I think they have an adequate selection of options that can serve customers of all kinds. Even though this is not one of my favorite spots within the Twin Cities, the dishes they have already solidifies this establishment as a "must not miss" within the area.

We had a delicious takeout meal from Peninsula! I gifted my husband a passport to Eat Street…read morerestaurants this year, and Peninsula was high on my list of places to try. At the time, I didn't realize it was take out only. However, it worked out for us to pick it up as we headed to a friend's house for dinner. We ordered: BBQ Pork Lo Mein - simple and classic, not much for veggies Spicy Basil Beef - delicious, could be spicier Pineapple Chicken - think on sweet and sour sauce but tasty Spicy Tofu - SO good, their tofu is made in house! Crispy outside, soft inside Roti Canai - amazing! No wonder this is a top rec on Yelp Dumplings - average but good! Chicken Rice - We didn't realize each dish came with rice, so we ordered this but so glad we did - it had amazing flavor. Pick up process was very easy - they have their system down. Highly recommend supporting this locally owned spot next time you're craving takeout!

I love boba and a little alcy boba is so fun and unique (in the US at least). I also love that there is an option for food there as well, though I haven't actually tried any of it yet. Just nice to have food option! I went for the Valentine's specials that were donating part of profits to Immigrant Law Center of MN (woohoo go Tii Cup for doing what you can!). We came during trivia so there was a bit of a wait to be seated, but we got in after 30ish minutes. We just waited downstairs, which was nice because same building obviously. I got a cocktail that I cannot actually remember anymore (a good reminder to do reviews ASAP) :( I remember it was fruity (strawberry?), light, and yummy. My friend got the Golden Raspberry Beret which was more whiskey heavy. I liked it though, good amount of raspberry and cream and the popping strawberry boba were sooo good! Stopped in for Valentine's Day special drinks at the bar, we came right when trivia was happening on a Sunday night so it took a while to get a table but we were able to wait downstairs and get some regular boba drinks. I got an Ube Twister with Coconut Snow and added Lychee popping boba, completely delicious. About 30-40 min later we got seated upstairs in the bar after being added to the waitlist by phone number. Super cute place, very cozy and low light. My drink was something with Japanese whiskey, raspberry, and popping boba. A bit heavy on the whiskey for my taste but my friend's fruity little cocktail was much better. Sadly we were seated after the kitchen closed so we didn't get to try any of the food, but will definitely be back!

Food is always good and service is great. It has been a long time since I've been here and I'm glad to see they still have a lot of options available, even weekend specials. I had to taste the banh cuon since that is a weekend specials and not easily found in restaurants. It did not disappoint. The nuoc mam was perfect. Filling was good but I wish there were more fresh herbs for garnish. Bun Bo hue was filled with meat and protein!! I can't believe how much was in there. I normally don't like a ton of meat but this was so tender I ate it all. Pho was good. Broth had a strong star anise flavor but I like that. The mi hoanh ton soup was good but not the best. The wontons were huge! I appreciate the amount of protein in it. Cream cheese wontons flavor was good, wish there was more than 4 pieces per order though. Nem nuong serving size was pretty small. Wish we would've ordered the nem nuong spring rolls instead. Bubble tea tasted like strawberry milk, very sweet. Not my favorite but my daughter gave it 10/10. Salmon rice was good, we were able to add eggs for $4. The chili oil is very hot so be careful how much you add. 4% discount if you pay in cash. Gratuity added for parties of 5 or more. Easy to grab to go at the front if you are in a rush. We grabbed more to go after we ate too. The tri color dessert was ok, not my favorite but I liked the sweetness of the coconut milk in there.
