    Vietnamese Coffee

Love this place for delicious dessert drinks! I usually get their brown sugar milk tea but my sister bought me a Vietnamese coffee and it was delicious! I love the combination flavors of strong bitter coffee and the sweet condensed milk. Ambiance is delightful and service is ok.

Venturing down Eat Street after being at a restaurant nearby.... BAMBU has been on my list to visit. The inside is gorgeous and perfect! It was comforting and had nice seating areas and tables. Some great photo moments as well. We saw recommendations to try 1,2, 3 or 10. We tried 1 and 2. These drinks were beautiful and out of our normal drinks of choice. We like to try new things and this was a lot of fun. 1 had basil seeds, grass jelly, fresh coconut and lychee like fruit. It was less sweet than 2 and had a fresh flavor. I thought it was fun slurping up the grass jelly and they reminded me of a gummy worm in texture. The lychee like fruit in the bottom was the only thing I didn't love in it as it tasted canned. I would have been ok with those in it and would order without in the future. Despite it looking nice as a visual layer. 2 had a sweeter flavor at first and looked prettier than mine. The creaminess was really nice, but the beans were a little grainy and unsavory for our palates. Overall, I would be back to try another and make sure it has the grass jelly! Thanks for great service and a beautiful space.

Best known for their Chè Thái aka a refreshing, dairy-free Vietnamese dessert that every Vietnamese kid grew up loving. It is made with Asian jelly, assorted fruits, and a yummy coconut sauce. You can even customize it to your own tastes.

If there's anything you have to get here, it's the pandan waffle! I've been coming here for years and it's literally the only thing I get. I give this place five stars just for their pandan waffle alone. It's unbelievably crispy on the outside like a normal waffle but glutinous-y/slightly chewy on the inside. The best way I can describe pandan flavor is just a really enhanced vanilla. They make the pandan waffles to order so you'll always get a nice fresh, hot waffle every single time. Just know you'll have to wait a little bit due to them making it to order but trust me it's so worth it! My favorite thing to do is get food at Quang Restaurant and then bop on over the Bambu for their pandan waffles for dessert since it's literally right next door!

The level of care for my door dash order was impeccable! They even pack a bag of ice to keep everything cold too! Thank you Bambu!!!

I've enjoyed Bambu every time I've been here. I love the mangonada and the Bambu favorite, but I'll try new drinks from time to time. It usually doesn't take long to get your drinks and the service staff are all kind. There's usually kpop music playing and I love it!

Strawberry smoothie with boba and Dessert #6

It's been awhile since we've ordered bambu during the pandemic but was craving it. A nice treat even though it's raining and cold. I'll have to try a yogurt next time. Good service and they did a generous upcharge for splitting a small smoothie into two cups for two kids to make it easy on us parents.

Bambu was such a fun place to go to, when you first walk in you get very California and new York boba tea spots.the decor is amazing and the feel is very modern, I really want all the furniture and decor inside this place so bad. The menu is pretty big, they have their special drinks and they have standard boba flavors, but the variety is extensive when it comes to flavors and types of drinks, I got the Pina colada smoothie and it was delicious very sweet, the food variety is lacking but I usually don't go to bubble tea places for food!

the vietnamese desserts/drinks here are amazing!!! they've also got bubble tea. my go to is the fruit addict che. their bubble tea is also really good. the drinks look and taste soo good. the baristas are nice, but sometimes it does take a while for them to make the drinks. i love the ambiance of the cafe. there's many tables and a tropical vibe. their location in minneapolis is on nicollet ave, so parking may be difficult. overall rating: 9/10

Service was really slow on a Sunday afternoon. The place appeared neat and cleaned. Love the chair and feel to it. I ordered the Pork Po-boy and Chè Ba Màu. To my surprised the po-boy came in as a flatbread, and rectangular shape bread. Although it was toasted, it wasn't crunchy, and a tad bit soggy. However, the pork was delicious and combination of the pickled vegetables, fresh sliced jalapeños and cilantro made it tasted wonderful. As for the Chè Ba Màu, it was too bland, and the tapioca was too chewy!

First time trying this place , and yup just like the name bambu favorite is my favorite :) , For traditional iced coffee , taste good but the boba was bad ! I'm definitely coming back for sure .

In summary cafe for refreshing DESSERT DRINK. This is a hipster style place for Vietnamese che, which is pretty much a dessert drink like tri-color (or if tri-color & boba tea had a baby). They also have boba and some Vietnamese food options (banh mi, etc.). Although the drinks were good- I do think it's a bit more pricey than your average boba place and it honestly doesn't feel worth the drive/hassle in finding parking. It's also not really a welcoming place to hangout in my opinion- not much tables or outlets. There is parking in the back but it's every limited- so like most places on Nicollet, beware and watch out for the one ways. Will I be back? Probs- but I wouldn't go out of my way for it either.

We used to go when they were across the street in the small space. To me this is the OG Vietnamese place to recommend when people ask where to get great Vietnamese food. Food is always good and service is great. It has been a long time since I've been here and I'm glad to see they still have a lot of options available, even weekend specials. I had to taste the banh cuon since that is a weekend specials and not easily found in restaurants. It did not disappoint. The nuoc mam was perfect. Filling was good but I wish there were more fresh herbs for garnish. Bun Bo hue was filled with meat and protein!! I can't believe how much was in there. I normally don't like a ton of meat but this was so tender I ate it all. Pho was good. Broth had a strong star anise flavor but I like that. The mi hoanh ton soup was good but not the best. The wontons were huge! I appreciate the amount of protein in it. Cream cheese wontons flavor was good, wish there was more than 4 pieces per order though. Nem nuong serving size was pretty small. Wish we would've ordered the nem nuong spring rolls instead. Bubble tea tasted like strawberry milk, very sweet. Not my favorite but my daughter gave it 10/10. Salmon rice was good, we were able to add eggs for $4. The chili oil is very hot so be careful how much you add. 4% discount if you pay in cash. Gratuity added for parties of 5 or more. Easy to grab to go at the front if you are in a rush. We grabbed more to go after we ate too. The tri color dessert was ok, not my favorite but I liked the sweetness of the coconut milk in there. We grabbed a banh mi that was ready to go and that was good! Bread was crispy, but maybe too much bread ratio to filling. Banh bao was massive too, expensive for $8.

Buon Bo Hue was spicy, had a good amount of meat. Pho broth was flavorful and passed for good pho. I hated the bowl, it is so narrow and you can barely fit any additional toppings. Nem Nuong was underwhelming, a lot smaller than expected. Banh Cuon is a weekend special. They were pretty thick and didn't absorb much of the sauce but had a good balance of filling and toppings. My Huong is an 8-top hole in the wall across the parking lot from the rear of El Nuevo Mariachi Restaurant. The place is homely, small, but brightly lit and plenty of day light through the picture windows overlooking Eat Street. It's a big contrast to Pho 79 type places that are dim and short on ambience. The clientele shows. Instead of just a bunch of Asians throwing down Pho, it's a mix like you'd see at Quang or Eat Street Crossing. I was seated right away, was greeted by a cheery Vietnamese lady, and ordered Hu Tieu Bo Khu (Beef Stew Noodle Soup.) It was a dish I haven't seen before even though I have been to so many Vietnamese places (see my other reviews and lists.) The dish came very quickly, and I was shocked that they didn't bring it with a veggie plate. Oh well. Well the best way I could describe Hu Tieu Bo Khu, its basically a pot roast over noodles. So the beefy broth like a less spicey version of Bun Bo Hue, with flavors of lemongrass and star anise, nicely garnished already with what would have been on a veggie plate. The broth was delicious, slightly sweet with the carrots, and the beef was fall apart amazingly stewed with deep flavor.
