Plenty of parking available around this neighborhood! I believe they have their own lot as well, we opted for street parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a nice place to socialize with your friends or even squeeze in a little study time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a dragon mango green tea with boba and it was super yummy! I wish I could have adjusted my sugar level, but otherwise I really enjoyed my drink. Service was quick. You order at the counter and they call out your number when it's ready!
We parked at the parking lot behind this cafe and I said out loud we will stop by here after dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This cafe has a green theme. They have a trellis sitting area in the corner and ferns all over the walls and ceiling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We walked up to the counter to order the drinks and waited maybe 5 minutes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Vibe reminded me of my college days, students were there studying, doing homework, or just a much needed break[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].
A quiet established tea/coffee shop with near minimalist interior. The modern plant filled shop is warm and cozy with counters along the large windows. There are tables and the atmosphere filled with New Age type music. The chalk written menu board is loaded with more tea choices than I've seen elsewhere, so this place is highly specialized in milky tea drinks. I, however like coffee and ordered an Americano from the brief coffee choices. Served at proper temp the brew was on the bland side. Still drinkable just not up to my memory imprint of other places where I sip and say, "wow"! If you are a tea aficionado this is your place. If you like a quiet place to contemplate your life's ebb and flow this is your place.
Who doesn't love a good milk tea!? And I decided to stop while I was in the area! There is free street parking and a small free parking lot in back. The decor had lots of plants and was very clean! Great spot to study, have a drink or friends and just pop in! The service was fast and friendly! I tried the strawberry and taro milk teas. The strawberry had a gritty almost chalky taste. I'm not sure why that happened... the flavor was still good. The taro was not the classic purple. It was a light brown and tasted more like a blueberry cheesecake flavor, still good but not what I was expecting. Overall this is a cute spot! Definitely check them out!
Ambience - very open and full of natural sunlight coming through. It's a big space for a boba shop. Decor on point. The plant theme decor very much appreciated it. It's not east putting up the ceiling leaves and lights. Service was quick and nice- great service. Drinks: Probably is just today- but the 3 stars for the drinks- My Jasmine green milk tea was too sweet. I love it sweet but this was a bit too much. Also the green tea was not strong enough either they brew it themselves or use powder formed, it was not as distinct in the drinks- the green tea flavor , it was mask by the milk and overly sweetness. But overall- would go again and try again. I'm sure it would be great as the reviews suggest.
Chill little tea place right near Macalester! Def worth visiting if you need a chill place to study or if you want yummy drink near the area! I haven't had much on the menu but my staple is the brown sugar tea with the milk cap. I love it compared to any other boba shops. I'm literally addicted to it. It's the perfect amount of sweetness! :) The place is super cute. It's usually pretty quiet and empty when I come in but sometimes it can get pretty packed! Not sure what's going on with the other reviews but the service is always great for me. The younger baristas are sweet and the older barista which I'm assuming could be manager or owner is super kind.
Food: no food/snacks Service: 10/10 Ambiance: Amazing Pros: -They have an extensive option of drinks. -Seating is good. Mixtures of wooden and plastic netted seatings (comfortable for long hours seating) -College students are able to study here! It's very calm and comfy. I love the study ambiance it has! -Drinks are affordable; $6 average drinks. -Back and front parking! -IF HAS CHARGING PLUGS!!! -Wifi is available. Cons: -No food.
Kind staff. Great flavors of bubble tea! The boba is good most of the time. Nice, warm, sweet and chewy. I've gotten many different flavors before, but I always go to their mangonada - I love how they have sliced mango chunks on top! My partner loves their coffee slush, I'm not much of a coffee person, but if you like coffee, it's quite good according to my partner. Cute place inside, there's a big bubble tea thing that you can take pictures with. Plenty of neighborhood parking.
I frequent here- there are times where it can get loud (typically 5-6:30pm) but majority of the time (due to the loc) it's just students studying or chatting so the customers are respectful here. I especially love it when one of the staff plays chill Kpop- just a personal taste. Interior design is my favorite, abundant seating with personal space and big (up to 6-8 ppl) or small parties considered. Temperature is never too cold or too hot, staff are often very mindful of it, considering the weather outside as well. Parking in the back is typically available, mostly on the weekends peek times (4-6) you'll can get lucky with a spot.
The milk tea is good, I got the green Thai tea which is good would come back for the Thai. But the Boba is soggy and doesn't have the nice chew that makes it great. TheService was nice and very helpful and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the decorations are beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was a Parking lot in the back making it really easy to park.
Honestly, one of my favorite places to go to for boba. The tea to milk ratio is perfect. It can be a bit too sweet (just a tad slightly) but the flavors are perfect. The atmosphere is cute and staff is amazing. They make you feel at home and are so helpful when you're undecided on flavors or drinks to try. With covid happening, they have been extra careful and have signs about social distancing and change the whole layout of the store to help keep distance. It is worth the drive and being outside for some delicious sweet drinks. Stay safe everyone! I recommend the jasmine green milk tea slightly unsweetened with boba. 10/10.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Simplicitea is a very cute and relaxing place to grab bubble tea and other various coffees and refreshers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were extremely friendly and greeted us right away. I do like the fact that they will use black or green tea with any of their drinks. I'm not a green tea fan, so that's an important option for me. I got a black fruit tea with pineapple and passion fruit with strawberry popping bobas. The tea had a perfect blend of flavors and the boba was cooked just right. We also got a cookies and cream smoothie with tapioca. My son said it was the best one he's had! He also got a banh mi. He said it was good, but not great. The pork could have been more flavorful and it needed more cilantro. Overall, I recommend this place! Give them a try! read more
Probably the best bubble tea in the twin cities. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you walk in, you can actually smell tea being brewed and see an assortment of leaves...real tea leaves.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The aesthetic is not the typical cutsie boba shop vibe. It is elevated, sort of Tuscan garden with comfortable wicker furniture, gorgeous and ample seating, outlets along the wall and plants everywhere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I stumbled upon this place while praying and hoping for a quiet place to finish my workday. I could not have been more fortunate as the owner was taking a middday music break, allowing complete peace as I worked and sipped on my tea.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now I have absurdly high standards when it comes to see. The medium versus large is a mere $0.50~ difference so go for the large. I forgot to request light ice, but guess what!?!? The ice was light and the tea and boba heavy. The perfect proportion and bang for my buck. Okinawa bubble tea had chocolate-y notes and was excellent. Without ordering any cheese foam, my milk tea was rich and creamy. And did I mention they have a ginormous me-sized replica of my bubble tea!?!? It's just chef's kiss all around. read more

Really enjoyed my Strawberry Mango refresher made with sparkling water. We were early for an appointment so we probably hung out there for about an hour. So appreciative that the staff didn't seem to mind us taking up a table for that long. read more

My friend actually found a video about this place on tik tok and sent it to me. We were looking for a coffee/tea place open a little later so that we could get some homework done. They are open until 9 which I really appreciate! The environment inside is really nice although kind of small but we didn't have a problem finding a table where we could set up our laptops and everything. I'd imagine it'd be harder to find seating if it were during a busy time so I think we got lucky in that regard. We both got 3 drinks while we were there because we couldn't decide on one (or two) to try. I wish I had taken pictures of all of them! But our first round was a iced taro milk tea with strawberry popping bubbles for me, and my friend got a jasmine green iced tea with coconut jellies. We both LOVED our first drinks and quickly began thinking about what we would want next. Our second round was a brown sugar milk cap iced tea for me, and a thai milk tea for my friend. Once again we were very happy with our drinks. I will say that the brown sugar tea is not as flavorful as it appears, but the presentation is gorgeous and it still tastes great. Pretty much all the flavor is from the brown sugar sauce/drizzle that they put in the cup which isn't bad but was good to know for next time. We decided on one last drink for each of us, and we both opted for a refresher. My friend got the hibiscus refresher with strawberry popping jellies and I got the lemon passion refresher with passion fruit popping jellies. These were also pretty yummy and a nice alternative to tea! I also thought the employees working were nothing but kind and didn't judge us for going back for another drink twice haha. I definitely will be returning and am excited to drink my way through the whole menu :) read more
This place was pretty good at first. This is my second time getting the drinks, I love the fruit teas, however i am not a fan of the milk tea. Like the most simple drink thai tea doesnt even taste like thai tea. It taste like it had more milk than the tea. I got two other drinks as well, the matcha milk tea, that didnt taste as good as I thought. It taste like it still had powdered in it. The last drink I got was the guava passion, now that one taste so good. Maybe the only one I would recommend. But this place is okay. The very first time I got the drinks, the thai tea actually taste like thai tea and the other fruit tea drinks was good. I dont think ill come back anytime soon. The inside is very pretty, aesthetically pleasing. Recommend cute place to take pictures. I didnt want to waste money so i had to finish my drinks. read more

I like this place, but I don't LOVE it. I feel like the tea relies heavily on its milkiness to taste good. They are also pretty restrictive with the sizing so a lot of time you have to get the large and end up spending +$7. Great little spot to hang put and the workers are friendly enough, I've just had better for cheaper so I can't give it 5 stars. read more
Not even a week later and I'm already back ! Taro milk tea was so creamy and delicious, also a good price for how big it is. The pink flirty blew my mind tho, the kiwi popping bobas are something I would normally never order but it works SO well in the pink flirty. It's bright and light and floral and makes me smile with every gulp. :) read more

omg Simplicitea rocks!!!! this is my new fav boba shop yeah yeah yeah!! They have easy online ordering system or you can walk in person and order. I prefer online ordering, so super easy, just order+pay online, when you arrive let them know your name and they hand you your drink, so easy!! I LOVE the Taro Burst Smoothie!!! add boba pearls. So good amazing dessert drink. I love it. their classic milk teas are great too yum read more

We went in for a lil COVID-19 comfort, bubble tea. The honey roasted oolong milk cap tea + tapioca pearls was HEAVEN. My old lady got a dragon fruit mango tea and no complaints. The two ladies in the store were so sweet! We'll be returning. read more
