I do like the fact that they will use black or green tea with any of their drinks. I'm not a green tea fan, so that's an important option for me. I got a black fruit tea with pineapple and passion fruit with strawberry popping bobas. The tea had a perfect blend of flavors and the boba was cooked just right. We also got a cookies and cream smoothie with tapioca. My son said it was the best one he's had! He also got a banh mi. He said it was good, but not great. Probably the best bubble tea in the twin cities. When you walk in, you can actually smell tea being brewed and see an assortment of leaves...real tea leaves. The aesthetic is not the typical cutsie boba shop vibe. It is elevated, sort of Tuscan garden with comfortable wicker furniture, gorgeous and ample seating, outlets along the wall and plants everywhere. I stumbled upon this place while praying and hoping for a quiet place to finish my workday. I could not have been more fortunate as the owner was taking a middday music break, allowing complete peace as I worked and sipped on my tea. Now I have absurdly high standards when it comes to see. The medium versus large is a mere $0.50~ difference so go for the large. I forgot to request light ice, but guess what!?!? The ice was light and the tea and boba heavy. The perfect proportion and bang for my buck. Okinawa bubble tea had chocolate-y notes and was excellent. Without ordering any cheese foam, my milk tea was rich and creamy. Great spot to study, have a drink or friends and just pop in! The service was fast and friendly! I tried the strawberry and taro milk teas. The strawberry had a gritty almost chalky taste. I'm not sure why that happened... the flavor was still good. The taro was not the classic purple. Chill little tea place right near Macalester! Def worth visiting if you need a chill place to study or if you want yummy drink near the area! I especially love it when one of the staff plays chill Kpop- just a personal taste. Honestly, one of my favorite places to go to for boba. The tea to milk ratio is perfect. It can be a bit too sweet (just a tad slightly) but the flavors are perfect. The atmosphere is cute and staff is amazing. They make you feel at home and are so helpful when you're undecided on flavors or drinks to try. With covid happening, they have been extra careful and have signs about social distancing and change the whole layout of the store to help keep distance. This was our layover spot for Chips Clubhouse to open. So glad we discovered it. It's a very calming place. There was one section where a group of 8 could convene in a nice atmosphere. I imagine it's a Mac hangout. We came in and left in the front where there is the coolest teacup sculpture with the bubbles. My friend actually found a video about this place on tik tok and sent it to me. We were looking for a coffee/tea place open a little later so that we could get some homework done. They are open until 9 which I really appreciate! The environment inside is really nice although kind of small but we didn't have a problem finding a table where we could set up our laptops and everything. I'd imagine it'd be harder to find seating if it were during a busy time so I think we got lucky in that regard. We both got 3 drinks while we were there because we couldn't decide on one (or two) to try. I wish I had taken pictures of all of them! But our first round was a iced taro milk tea with strawberry popping bubbles for me, and my friend got a jasmine green iced tea with coconut jellies. We both LOVED our first drinks and quickly began thinking about what we would want next. Our second round was a brown sugar milk cap iced tea for me, and a thai milk tea for my friend. Once again we were very happy with our drinks. I will say that the brown sugar tea is not as flavorful as it appears, but the presentation is gorgeous and it still tastes great. Pretty much all the flavor is from the brown sugar sauce/drizzle that they put in the cup which isn't bad but was good to know for next time. We decided on one last drink for each of us, and we both opted for a refresher. My friend got the hibiscus refresher with strawberry popping jellies and I got the lemon passion refresher with passion fruit popping jellies. These were also pretty yummy and a nice alternative to tea! I also thought the employees working were nothing but kind and didn't judge us for going back for another drink twice haha. This place was pretty good at first. This is my second time getting the drinks, I love the fruit teas, however i am not a fan of the milk tea. Like the most simple drink thai tea doesnt even taste like thai tea. It taste like it had more milk than the tea. I got two other drinks as well, the matcha milk tea, that didnt taste as good as I thought. It taste like it still had powdered in it. The last drink I got was the guava passion, now that one taste so good. Maybe the only one I would recommend. But this place is okay. The very first time I got the drinks, the thai tea actually taste like thai tea and the other fruit tea drinks was good. I dont think ill come back anytime soon. Instead this place was delicious and gave me everything I wanted. First stop in, I ordered Taro Blast with boba, which is a blended milk tea instead of over ice. It was made just as I like it, creamy and icy and not too sweet but also almost...buttery. Second time stopping by, I ordered the Brown Sugar Milk Cap and it was good, comparable to those found at places like Ding Tea or Fengcha, the more higher tier chains...although I think it's Vietnamese owned rather than Taiwanese?
