If I describe the environment as being half of the lobby of a new suburban apartment complex, that doesn't do justice to how pleasant it is. Homey, quiet, clean, intentionally designed. When the apartment people give tours to prospective tenants, my confident assumption is that they DEFINITELY show off this area and it probably convinces people to move to this building. The baristas are serious coffee nerds, rightly proud of their single-origin sourcing from farms in Honduras, Costa Rica, and Colombia. My iced vanilla latte tasted great; the mild sweetness from their house-made vanilla was perfect. My friend got a pourover that he loved; he stayed there for about an hour doing some work and was impressed by how long that container stayed warm. If you're arriving by car, there is street parking around the building, but there is also the option of going into the building's garage. They confirmed to me that the ground-level parking spaces are available to customers during their open hours. Also, this is right across the street from the Helmo Ave. station on the new Gold Line. If you're taking that route before 4pm, consider hopping off for one of their impressive coffees!

The space was extremely clean and the customer service was top notch. The menu is robust with tons of great variations including Lattes from Spanish, Vanilla Bean Cardamom, and Coconut. There are also Cubano's, cold brews, Affogatos and Cortados. Personally, this shop has a lot more variations compared to other coffee houses and I'm here for it. I dined in and opted for the triple berry smoothie and Spanish Latte while I worked remotely. I'm so grateful my warm drink was served in an actual mug. I've had bad luck dining in at other shops getting a paper cup and it's a turn off for me. The WiFi was advertised nicely at the register and there was a lovely wall outlet where at least 8 people perhaps more could be plugged in at once. Impressive! The natural lighting adds to the ambiance and there are lovely murals, paintings and greenery. One of my favorite moments was watching the heritage and culture weaving in and out of the shop. I had a fantastic Mexican Mocha that's probably the best mocha I've had in months (and I have a borderline-embarrassing amount of mochas). They do have some proper savory offerings including a slate of empanadas that I'm eager to try. This time I just got a simple ham and cheese croissant, but it was perfect and I would definitely get that again. Exceptionally friendly service, very comfortable, I just love it. NOTE: in the summer of 2026 there is a lot of construction on East 7th, but you can park in the lot across the street.
