Note: not to be confused with Ember Coffee Co. in Big Lake. That said... excellent coffee here. This place is actually kind of awesome. If I describe the environment as being half of the lobby of a new suburban apartment complex, that doesn't do justice to how pleasant it is. Homey, quiet, clean, intentionally designed. When the apartment people give tours to prospective tenants, my confident assumption is that they DEFINITELY show off this area and it probably convinces people to move to this building. The baristas are serious coffee nerds, rightly proud of their single-origin sourcing from farms in Honduras, Costa Rica, and Colombia. My iced vanilla latte tasted great; the mild sweetness from their house-made vanilla was perfect. My friend got a pourover that he loved; he stayed there for about an hour doing some work and was impressed by how long that container stayed warm. If you're arriving by car, there is street parking around the building, but there is also the option of going into the building's garage. They confirmed to me that the ground-level parking spaces are available to customers during their open hours. Also, this is right across the street from the Helmo Ave. station on the new Gold Line. If you're taking that route before 4pm, consider hopping off for one of their impressive coffees! read more

Cool, modern coffee spot tucked in an apartment complex. There's plenty of seating inside, which makes it a nice place to hang out or get some work done, though parking can be a little limited at times. The drink menu is your standard drinks with some seasonal specials mixed in, plus a good selection of pastries. The homemade biscuit breakfast sandwich is so good and definitely worth ordering. I've also had their coffee at the Hudson location, and it's consistently great. The espresso is really well roasted, and I love that you can buy their Co-Pilot beans there too. The staff is honestly the best. You can tell they genuinely love what they do, and it shows in both the drinks and the overall experience. read more

Very good!! The iced Blue Monday excellent- love the toasted coconut on top. And they make their own blueberry syrup. Yes. My husband liked his pour over but didnt love it, hence the 4 instead of 5. He said the taste is just a bit off for some reason. His breakfast burrito was really good. The salsa served with it is yum. The price does need to change however....$6.66, come on. read more

The space inside is very clean and modern! Lots of tables and chairs available, and a free parking garage as well. I tried the wild one which had blackberry and coconut. It ended up having a weird aftertaste for me from the coconut, so I wasn't a huge fan. They had other speciality drinks I'd try in the future. read more

My bestie suggested this coffee shop not only on their quality, but also their friendliness. It wasn't quite the experience I had - mine was more "meh". Could have been what I ordered though. I tried a canned tea and a cold brew coffee. The tea was more rave worthy than the coffee shop's cold brew to me personally. I wish the staff would have been a bit more welcoming and suggest some options given it was my first time, but unfortunately I didn't get a whole lot of help there. Because I trust my bestie SO much, I'm willing to give it another shot in person and try some different options. My eyes went huge when I saw that homemade pop tart. I think this place is excellent! They have unique specialty drinks with house made syrups! I do not drink bottled syrups so it is a treat when I find a place that does house made. The staff are friendly, some more knowledgeable than others which is not unusual. The space is bright and clean. I wish I had read the sign I caught a glimpse of on my way out. Things may have changed with regard to use of space. I think that A large portion of the area belongs to the apartments and I am not sure if that area is for people visiting the coffee shop or not. I buy coffee beans here as well. They have some excellent single origin varieties. Street parking and free garage parking available. read more

Back a second time, although, I wish it was more! I may just need to add this place into my coffee rotation more. Met my sister here last weekend before a family event and it hit just as fantastic as my first visit from months ago. Destiny (I believe that was her name) was SO friendly and recommended a lovely hug in a cup kinda afternoon caffeine bevyyy. I don't remember the name, but I recall her telling me it had hazelnut and caramel in it. Regardless, it was delicious. My eyes also couldn't help but notice the pop tart staring at me in the display case while ordering my coffee, so I snagged the last apple pop tart. I sat at the coffee bar and chatted with the ladies. It was a nice experience. I offered my sister a bite of my pop tart but she declined, I wasn't hurt just meant more for me. :-) Area was decorated very fall and gave cozy vibes. I'll definitely be back. read more

In town for a meeting and was needing a place to relax before heading to the office. Nice little place in what looked like an apartment building lobby. The staff was friendly and thought the mocha I had was pretty good. The small was an 8 oz drink but uses the same amount of espresso so a little more espresso forward than a larger size but I kind of liked that option. A bit loud in the seating area but overall a good experience. read more

This little coffee shop is in the main floor of an apartment complex. The space is very cute, great for working or bringing kids - there's a small play area with some games and kids toys in the open dining space, and large windows for tons of natural light. The coffee itself is good, but pretty pricey. We also tried a baked good (scotcheroo) which had bloomed chocolate and tasted pretty off, might have been old, maybe skip those. However, if you want to sit a while over coffee and hang out, this place has nice vibes! read more

I was super excited to try this newer coffee shop in Oakdale. The space is open and bright with a variety of seating options. The staff were super friendly and welcoming as soon as we walked in. The drinks were so good and unique. We got The Thing which is a Turtle mocha with smoked sea salt (yum!) and The Gray Duck Matcha with house made blueberry syrup, citrus bitters & a touch of white chocolate (a great blend of flavors and bit overly Matcha). 10/10 we will be back! read more

The menu goes beyond coffee, too with seasonal specialty drinks with real, homemade syrups; gluten‑free treats from local baker Sift, and savory items like breakfast burritos and biscuit sandwiches. One of my favorite coffee shops near Woodbury! Coffee is delicious, people are great and lots of seating and places to work.

Service was adequate,but lazy. Stopped in mid-morning and not too busy. Ordered two daily brews (dark and heavy flavor), avacado toast and a lemon passionfruit bread. We only received 1 1/2 actual cups instead of 2 cups and was told they were brewing another pot, but after 15 minutes no one came out from behind the counter to refill the cup that was shorted. They did top off both cups when we came to the counter and requested before we left. The piece of avocado toast on sourdough was very good and totally covered in mini-greens. I would not order the lemon passionfruit bread again, it tasted stale and it was doughy on the inside, very dense, and over cooked on the outside. The seating area had good separation between customers for private conversation. It has a 20 foot soaring ceiling, and a variety of seating options. The upscale atmosphere matched the price paid and outshined the coffee taste and baked goods. read more
