Busy crowd on a Monday late morning
    Melissa C.

What a cute cafe in the cutest Como Park neighborhood! I was surprised how busy they were on a Monday late morning but I can see why after trying their locally roasted coffee. They had fun drinks and I was very pleased with my Vanilla Bean Caramel Latte. It's made with goat milk and vanilla bean caramel sauce. Service was fast and friendly and there was plenty of neighborhood street parking available. The front patio was also very cute!

I stopped by Karol Coffee this past week & what a treat!! It truly feels like a neighborhood staple, tucked into such an unexpected spot, i thought it was a house. It's right by my work, so I decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did! When you walk in, there are people gathered at tables both inside and out, and the space actually extends much farther back than you'd expect... even into a little hidden area or annex in the back. I ordered from their spring menu and got the pistachio rose latte with oat milk, along with a breakfast sandwich they customized for me without meat. Everything was delicious, and the vibes are immaculate! I'm already excited to go back on a sunny day to sit at the picnic tables or head into the quieter annex type rooms to get some work done. Such an interesting coffee shop--I can't wait to tell more people about it!

Now that I have been back I must say their iced americano is one of the best I have ever had. I also appreciate jar they have a lot of outdoor seating.

The perfect blend - literally. Karol Coffee has been the most fabulous addition to the Como area and each part of the building is designed with such charm and character. I attended the Valentine's Day event and had previously stopped in prior to the shop being completely done and I was shocked with the transformation. Entering from the back of the building, you will be transported into a small antique area with drip coffee and a quieter area good for reading, sipping drinks or browsing the items. I scored a bronze candle holder and some lovely incense. Other items include baby clothes, Slow Burn beeswax candles, trinkets, picture frames, pottery and more. There is a long connecting hallway which wraps to the front shop where there is a comfy area for children and a big green couch. There's a few small tables, nice bathrooms and a giant barista bar. It is very important to note that the front room is not big so being aware in the colder months as opposed to the warmer months the when the exterior patio can be used for more space is nice to forecast accordingly. The service is top notch. Even on an event day, staff members were slinging coffee and pastries with a smile. Many of the pastries including the ham and cheese croissants are baked locally from La Boulangerie Marguerite. I gifted some gluten free espresso donuts to friends and those were lovely as well. For my drink, I had the Valentine's one day only menu item of the chocolate covered strawberry latte. I was pleased to see that when ordering to sit down, the drinks are prepared in a pottery mug - another bonus! I took my drink to the back section as it was much quieter and less busy and was able to snag a table and read my book. I look forward to many more visits to try other menu items and I can't wait to see how the legacy progresses forward for Karol Coffee. Thank you, thank you!! Como was missing a shop like this. I'm so glad you are here. Note: the Valentine's Day pop up was orchestrated perfectly. I really enjoyed it!

I think this place is a bit of a hidden gem!! It is absolutely beautiful inside, their holiday decorations were simple but rustic, the perfect vibe!! The drinks are really great, and they have some unique options for specials!! There was lots of space (I sat and read for a while). The staff was so so kind too!!

Such a cozy and charming coffee shop! The barista recommended a drink for me that wasn't too sweet. The seasonal pistachio rose latte (half sweet) with oat milk was delicious. I will be back to Karol Coffee!

My husband and I were so excited about finding this place we went 3 or 4 times within 2 weeks of discovering it! Having a baby, we've started to think about family friendly places we ALL like to go. The high chair + toys make enjoying my latte more enjoyable to pull my baby up and relax for a bit. I love both the maple sea salt latte + salted bourbon caramel latte (I only like iced drinks so can't speak to hot). Staff is friendly and we met the owner and his baby on one of our visits which made it feel all the more local. It definitely gets busy inside even on weekdays so I am looking forward to next summer enjoying the outdoor seating / kids area all the more. I wouldn't say it's "cheap" compared to my usual Mpls coffee stops so 4 stars from us but a great treat for us all to go!

Karol coffee has it all: amazing food, great coffee, lovely outdoor space, and is completely kid friendly! I went here with my friends and their family, and there was something for everyone. It was so lovely to have a space where the kids could play so the adults could catch up. Service was excellent despite being super busy that morning. Would definitely recommend checking it out!

Karol coffee seems like the place to go for mom meetups and with kids. There's a cute fenced in patio and playground in the back that was full in the morning. There's also picnic tables outside the area in shade or sun! The coffee was delicious and I loved the brown sugar cardamom syrup in my latte. The baristas were nice and there was a few food options as well. Karol is an adorable community spot!

Good coffee, decent space, nice staff, can get busy. Came here on a Friday at 9am and snagged a table. They were pretty full for the duration I was there. Nice accessible outlets. Lots of kids when I was there, Not a quiet place but I didn't mind. Got a latte with the blackberry syrup and it was delicious.

Brewed coffee: Two roasts, light and medium. One size fits all. 12 oz. Pastries mostly sold out before noon, leaving two lonely cookies. Quiet vibe and most tables filled. Street parking available but you may have to walk a few blocks. Employees smiling and friendly and seem genuinely appreciative for your business. Now, the brew. Very fresh and robust for a light roast. I can see why they don't have a dark roast. Not complaining, the roast was great with the after taste I crave.

What a lovely cafe! I heard about this cafe recently and decided to check it out today to get some work done. The cafe itself has a very homey, rustic vibe. There's a variety of drink options on the menu -- they recently released their fall menu so I decided to get their PSL. Not too sweet and overall a solid cup of coffee! The cafe has residential street parking nearby and some outdoor seating. They also have wifi and a few restrooms.

The young man at the counter offered me an extensive menu of regular coffees, espresso drinks and specialty drinks, all of which could be made hot or cold. They also have a variety of milk selections. Unfortunately, they were out of skim milk today, but he offered to tweak the amount when I told him that the main reason I usually had skim milk was to enhance the coffee flavor(and their coffee really tasted good). Additionally, he offered to make my drink in my personal cup which was great since I hate to use plastic whenever I can. This location is only a half block from United Hospital and all its various buildings and there is no good coffee within that entire complex. It's definitely worth getting a breath of fresh air and taking a block and a half stroll to have a great cup of Joe! By the way, although I tried hard not to look, their pastry case looked scrumptious, filled with homemade pies by the slice and other goodies. Since they are so close to the hospital it's really nice that they also have a lovely display of fresh cut flowers. Next time I'm down here I'm going to stop in for a meal. If the food is as good as the coffee I think I'll become a regular.
