There was no wait to order and we had a good experience when ordering the drinks. I was hoping for more seasonal options and more seating options. I've been meaning to try this spot ever since a friend brought me beans; it definitely held up! We walked our dogs over on a rainy morning & the folks at the window were super friendly. Our drinks were made pretty fast, too, & we sat on their lovely little patio area. I got a Done Well with oat milk & it was super tasty; the cardamom made the flavor rich without being overpowering. My husband got an Easy (don't remember the full name), & it was in a similar vein flavor-wise, but also really good. I'll absolutely be back, both for the drinks & for beans! read more

My most favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood. They make the best americanos, better than Dogwood or Workhorse nearby. Reasonable prices. It's a walk up window for now, no indoor seating. The service is always fast and friendly, happy to go here several times a week. read more

Hey, I'm updating the review not for a rating change but because my previous review was for indoor dining, which they haven't had since sometime during the you know..ah sick thing we went through that starts with a 'P'. There is a walk-up window from a cramped parking lot so you will have to stand outside despite the weather, there is a slight roof area near the ordering area. I thought it was fun to come here in all kinds of weather to order the best Americano I have found. The staff is friendly and work quickly and I found the prices so reasonable I thought there was an error. I have tried the dark roast too and enjoyed the toasty roasty taste with a bit of an after glow on the tongue. Yes they do have pastry but the barista will have to grab a tray and show it to you. read more

I was on my way back from some military training, and I ended up taking the wrong exit and ran into this place (not literally). The building itself is just a walk up window, which is pretty convenient, as you do t have to go inside. They'll peeps were very nice (if you like that kind of thing), and they seemed like they loved coffee and what they did. Speaking of that, you could really taste their person and passion in the coffee (not literally taste them, that would just be awkward and weird). I had a hot vanilla latte, with oat milk (I know, I sound like a basic white girl! XD which is funny because I'm a black guy) (oh, if you're offended by what I said go cry to your mom and grow up, it's my post and can say what I want! My wife and I stumbled into this place by chance. It's on a soft corner in a non-descript corner of St. Paul. You could easily drive right by Roundtable Coffee Works and not give it a second thought - and you'd be missing out. GOOD: * Least pretentious coffee shop I've ever experienced. Menu is short and atmosphere is extremely low key. The dining area is just two tables next to a roasting machine. The counter guy we had was extremely chill. * The coffee here is excellent! If what you are looking for is a basic, high quality cup of coffee, this is the place. BAD: I really can't find anything wrong with this place. If you have a big posse with you or are looking for other coffeehouse staples, like a folk guitar, tempting pastries, and the ambiance of a lot of people on their laptops, I guess you can go to Spyhouse and drink their weak hipster fluid. I knew I was after a truly good cup of joe when I walked in, and I was more than impressed. I especially loved their humble approach. I asked what coffee they were serving (answer: a floral Ethiopian) and the best way to have it as (Espresso? Black? Capp?). The duo behind the bar simply told me, "Just as a simple cup of coffee." And they were exactly right: The cup was sweet with pleasant, lingering notes of flowers. A rather round body too for an Ethiopian with very little dryness. My girlfriend had a cappuccino and we shared a few pastries together--they were delightful too. We chatted with the people behind bar for a bit before going on our way. So far this is the best coffee experience I've had in Minneapolis. We absolutely loved it. read more

Outstanding! This place is a local coffee roaster but the owner will sell you a brilliant cup of it, which is why I visit. The latte is one of the best I've had in the area. There is a bar with several spots to sit, but the store is pretty minimalist so I usually get it to go. Can't rave enough about the quality I've had here. read more

Off the beaten path. Just the right size. Really friendly, knowledgable guys. The aroma is intoxicating in there...they roast their own beans! Great blend brewing. This is not a place to sit and chat and use your laptop. There are two tables right next to the bean machine. It is a stop-and-get-it to-go kinda place, and the coffee is so worth it. I love this No Frills coffee shop. It's the perfect place to get quality coffee for what feels like a steal. Very simple and minimalistic coffee shop. If I stick to rating it for what it is, it's good! I had an almond milk latte. There are a few tables, but it's not somewhere I'd sit to work or relax--they are actively roasting coffee so it's loud. If I went again I'd try one of their homemade flavor additions. I personally just want more choices, and almond milk is my least favorite non dairy coffee milk (it's just too thin). read more

I was in this area for a meeting and needed an afternoon pick me up. I've never heard of this place and didn't know if I should stop but the 5 star reviews persuaded me. The main focus here is roasting. They have short menu but I had to try to cold press and it was fantastic! Everything cold press should be with super fresh organic cream added-yummy! The couple seasonal drinks they had sounded amazing, the winter hot drink is sweetened with molasses. Would like to try that. read more

Reasonably priced fresh and locally roasted beans to buy and take home and a service counter to get tasty drinks made with their espresso.
