I come in for a quick lunch fix when I can after my busy day. I have to appreciate the lunch specials and the friendly service. Every time I have come here everyone is so kind and attentive. So I recently had the spicy basil tofu eggplant (I had it spicy) omg I fell in love. So delicious.. for me it beat out the curry I love. Thank you for always providing a delicious lunch! Thanks for making lunch so tasty and a quick experience.
Found this place while browsing Yelp for lunch specials and decided to give it a try. They have a pretty diverse lunch special menu with everything from rice dishes to soups and noodle dishes, so there are lots of options to choose from. I ordered the kra pao crispy pork belly. The portion was generous and a good value for the price. It was a solid meal, though nothing that really stood out to me. The restaurant has plenty of seating, a private parking lot, and the servers were friendly. We came on a Saturday afternoon, and it wasn't too busy, so it made for a relaxed lunch. Overall, a decent spot if you're looking for an affordable Thai lunch. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back, but I'd stop in again if I happened to be in the area.
We came on a Saturday for a late lunch and were surprised how they offer lunch specials even on weekends. Their food is very well priced and the portions are fair. My favorite dish was the Sweet and Sour Fish, it very good with the rice. They have indoor and outdoor seating, the AC was blasting on a warm day. ig: @cravingswithcat
I arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes before opening and noticed the receptionist cleaning the glass and wiping the outdoor patio getting things ready for customers. She was friendly and waved from the inside. Once I came in, I seated at the outdoor patio where I requested. I was greeted by the waitress, who took my order in a great timely manner, and enjoyed the beautiful ambience of the outdoor patio while I waited for my food. The Thai tea was absolutely delicious. My food was extremely fresh and cooked perfectly. I enjoyed my afternoon in the beautiful environment and friendly staff. Thank you for having me and I'll be back soon.
It has been years since I've been to Thai Dishes Manhattan Beach but today I made it back to this spot. I've always been a fan of their lunch specials and I was curious to see how it is years later. Their lunch specials now is what they call "Street Food Lunch." They've got 20 different items for $15.95 to choose from and each dish comes with their house salad with sesame dressing. This lunch special is served until 2pm daily. I was impressed with the variety that the Street Food Lunch menu offered. I love how they had some classic favorites as well as unique dishes that aren't commonly found. They had House Noodle Soup, Ba Mee Hung, BBQ Roasted Duck, Mint Leaves with Ground Chicken, Cashew Nut Chicken, Kao Pao Crispy Pork Belly, Chinese Broccoli with Crispy Pork Belly, Pad Thai Noodles with Shrimp and Chicken, Ba Raan Noodle Soup, Kao Soi Chicken, Mixed Vegetable, Garlic Pepper Pork, Spicy Eggplant Tofu, Spicy Fried Rice Chicken, Tom Yum Kai Noodle Soup, Pad Kee Mow Chicken, Pad See You Noodle with Beef and Chinese Broccoli, Kang Karee Chicken, Kang Pad Beef and Green Curry Shrimp. Certain dishes you could substitute protein for an extra $1 or add egg for $2. I was actually pleasantly surprised that several of the dishes already included egg. It was hard to choose from the good variety of items but my friend and I chose to get their Chinese Broccoli with Crispy Pork Belly and their Kao Soi Chicken. The Kao Soi Chicken was beautifully plated. It came with a tall stand of fried egg noodles on top of coconut curry broth with chicken, egg noodle, onions and pickled package. The Chinese Broccoli with Crispy Pork Belly came with lots of pork belly with stir fried Chinese Broccoli and sides of white rice and fried egg. Both dishes were delicious! I loved the creamy, rich coconut curry curry broth from the Kao Soi Noodle. There was lots of tender chicken in the soup and it paired well with the egg noodles I also tried my friend's dish and appreciated the crisp pork belly and flavorful Chinese Broccoli. The Thai flavors were on point! I definitely want to come back and try more of their Thai Street Food. I enjoyed lunch here very much. Not only were the entrees flavorful, they were also large in size. I even had enough for dinner. I am excited to try their other dishes like the Tom Yum Kai Noodle Soup and the Kang Karee Chicken.

Unfortunately, one of the least palatable Thai food places I've eaten. I was so excited to try it as I saw some good ratings. I LOVE pad see ew ("Pad See You") and I've always thought this dish, while not easy to master, as difficult to mess up -- I was wrong. Additionally the vegetable egg rolls were tasteless. I don't know, but key Thai flavors were missing to me. Two stars simply for flavor. It was very Manhattan Beach Thai food.
Food was good. I would come back for green mango salad for sure! Gave 4 stars bcuz they messed up on my to-go order but they said they would credit me for my next visit. I'll update here when I come back. Loved the ambiance
The Green Curry Shrimp and Bo Raan Noodle Soup were excellent. Both are comforting and vibrant dishes with just the right amount of spice. Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Coffee were great too.
The customer service and hospitality at this place seriously could use some work. We ordered the Crying Tiger with white rice, water, and coke. It was disgusting as the crying tiger had bugs crawling on the plate and we informed the waiter. Additionally the meat was grey in color. There was no apology from the staff nor anyone trying to actively resolve our experience. They made us pay for the rice and coke A total of $8 for bugs on your plate I guess, I reallly could not fathom being charged when your plates come with live insects crawling all over. Never ever ever had an experience like this. Please train your staff to do better in situations like this.

It turns out that they did! I remember it being dry and tasteless (which explains that nearly 14 years of avoiding it). This one, as my picture shows, had flavor and came with a generous portion as part of their lunch special. I'm not sure I'd get this regularly because their other dishes (especially their Pad See Ew) are more my style, but I'm glad I can come here whenever I'm looking for some good Pad Thai in the area.

Good menu selection and flavorful food. They were also very attentive and made sure to check in with us during our meal. I ordered shrimp pad thai - very flavorful, extra saucy, and was delicious. A tad bit overpriced for the amount of food that you get, but still enjoyed our meal.

I've been going to Thai Dishes for over a decade. It's nostalgic for me every time I visit. From the atmosphere, to the staff, and to the food, it feels like home to me. My usually go-to is the pad kee mow and tom yum soup, but lately I've been exploring new dishes. Their lunch specials are pretty good too. Parking is pretty easy, at least it is for me. They have a small parking lot, but somehow I always find parking. It's a great spot! I'd recommend it. read more

Having driven by that unique building on Sepulveda countless times, I always thought, "I need to try that place someday." When I suggested one of our usual dinner spots, my wife said, "Hey, let's go to that Thai place you've been wanting to try." Well, reporting back. It's outstanding. From the dramatic Polynesian-inspired roofline and colorful glass panels that give the space an almost church-like feel to the warm, inviting interior, the place has a ton of character. But the real star is the food. Every dish was incredibly flavorful, perfectly prepared, and not the least bit greasy. Honestly, just delicious. The portions are generous too. We ordered three dishes and still came home with leftovers. The highlight of the evening was meeting Ben, whose parents opened the restaurant many years ago. His dad still comes in every morning to make the curry bases from scratch. That kind of family pride and dedication really shows in the food. What a delightful place. Five stars for the food, the atmosphere, and the service. We'll definitely be back. 5 stars! read more

I really like Thai food and been by here several times, so I stopped in and tried it out. The ambience is nice but it's a small dining area with cramped aisles. Right off the bat, I had to knock a star off because the two parties sitting on either side of me, arrived after me and all received their meals before me. This doesn't happen to me often, so I was kind of surprised and whether intentional or not; it's a noteworthy faux pas. The eggrolls were too heavy on the batter(I prefer light and crispy)with almost all cabbage(I don't like cabbage)filling. My entree of fried fish was average. Overall, the food here is really good! The Kao soi was delicious! The egg noodle had a nice firm texture and soaked in the flavors of the curry broth. Also, the fried rice was flavorful and tasty. I love spice and spicynesss-wise it is not very spicy. Sadly, the pad Thai was lackluster. It was very light in flavor with little to no spice. Would not recommend it. Service here is great. Food came out in less than 10 minutes during lunch happy hour. Plenty of indoor seating as well. Parking is somewhat limited but nearby neighborhood parking is available. read more

Stopped in for a late lunch . Was a little hesitant because it was a real hole in the wall . Thought i'd give it a shot! Was very glad i did. It one of those hole in the walls you like to know about! Food was amazing , staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I ordered a lunch special spicy eggplant. Came with soup egg roll and rice! Everything was so good! And i'm hard to please. We dined at Thai Dishes MB during the Thanksgiving weekend. I love their food! We ordered the usual fares we'd order in other Thai restaurants in the LA area. Their Pad Thai was delicious. The sauce was great and generous, not skimpy unlike in other restaurants. Also the Sautéed Mix Vegetables was flavorful. It's highly recommended. We also ordered the Thai BBQ Chicken but were a bit disappointed. Although tender pieces of chicken, the color was overly dark that looked like they were overly marinated in sugar and soy sauce. They didn't quite look appetizing. But as l said, they were tender and good. Our wait lady, Summer, was very nice and attentive to our needs. She is the human factor that would make you come back next time. We love her personal touch to our dining experience. Also, we loved the ambience and modern decor. I give this restaurant a 4 star. read more

The food was delicious. I ordered very hot and eggplant was sublime with the right amount flavor. I was surprised because the last few reviews weren't as favorable. Still well kept, even after all these years! Great service, clean environment and nice employees. The food is consistently delicious, and can be tailored to your specific liking. My partner works nearby so he wanted to take us to a place he frequented with his co-workers. We ordered quite a lot like egg rolls, noodles, the crab fried rice, tom yum soup, etc. I can't remember all the dishes but I do remember the egg rolls was something my 8 yr old wanted but it was not the best egg rolls I had. The stuffing was vegetarian, I believe? I have been picky about egg rolls since I was young and 3 out of 4 times, they are not impressive. This included. Only my 8 yr old wanted to take the rest home. The highlight for all of us was definitely the crab fried rice with actual chunks of crab and a very deep-fried egg with the crispy sides on top. Delicious and highly recommended. The tom yum was delicious, the flat noodles a crowd favorite, etc. The design of the place reminded me of a church with the stained glass wall. I wonder if it was meant to be one back in the day. They had really good service and the place was packed for a Wednesday night. The servers were attentive with extra napkins, straws, etc. They also had a LOT of to-go orders. I can see all the thermal bags on the side. Quite busy for a weekday! read more

The place is a small area off the side of PCH. The decor is nice and modern and I stopped in during happy hour. The service was a bit lackluster but friendly. I had a thai tea, the potstickers and spicy fried rice. The thai tea is just slightly too sweet for my taste and the tea was a bit weak but still good. As for the potsticker they were not overly greasy and were pretty light as far as potstickers go. They came with a pretty good sauce: slightly spicy and slightly sweet. As an appetizer, it was perfect for preping you for the main course since it didn't form a rock in my stomach. The fried rice was good, but boy when they say spicy they mean it. I ordered mine hot, and it whooped my butt. This thing is packed with pepper seeds and constantly sets fires wherever it lands. Be weary of the heat levels at this restaurant. All and all a commendable effort but nothing to write home about. The potstickers were good though. read more

We recently stayed at an Airbnb in Hermosa Beach and wanted food delivered but not through DoorDash. We found Thai dishes in Manhattan Beach and it was amazing. The jumbo shrimp red curry was amazing and then the half barbecue chicken was sweet and sticky rice was equally as good. The food came within the time promised delivered direct from the restaurant. I definitely will go there again! read more

Thai Dishes isn't the best Thai food I've had out there, but it does the trick when it comes to those cravings. Ordered takeout and I enjoyed the Thai fried rice (flavorful and with fried tofu). The ba-mee heng (dry egg noodles) could've used more garlic flavor and the pork was on the tough side, but still enjoyable. The egg rolls were quite thick (made from wonton wraps?), and I found the batter too thick and the veggies inside quite bland. Food was okay, and again, Thai Dishes will do the trick when it comes to craving Thai food! read more

This thai spot is one of the best thai spots in the south bay. They offer lunch specials for $15 each which is a great deal! My family and I went and we got their pad thai, pad see ew, papaya salad, boat noodles, and pad krapow. Everything was really good--my favorite being classics like pad see ew and pad thai! read more
