Food is incredibly disgusting and disgusting and disgusting... Everything is sweet asf and hard to swallow... There was no one in the restaurant and it was way too hot in it... the Thai tea was straight up sugar. Wait and see i get diabetes just by taking one sip

Pad see ew

YUM! what a hidden gem for authentic and delicious thai food in the Boston area. Thai Dish is super causal place, on BU campus seems to cater towards the student lifestyle of takeout with a few options for sitting but all plastic cutlery and dishes. You order at the counter (our server was super sweet and friendly) and either sit or take to go. We had the pad see ew with crispy pork and it was DELISH!! The crispy pork was both crunch and tender, and the noodles were saucy, garlicky, and well flavored. We also got the Tom Yum Noodle soup with seafood. I loved it, perfectly sour, lightly spiced, and the noodles and meat portions were just right. So happy to have found this place!

What happened to my order of pad see ew with beef? Only 2-3 pieces of small vegetable, where is the beef? The noodles is terrible. Not like in their picture. So disappointed. I was so hungry, drove 1 hour to try the food and got this.

Food is always so good. They make it so quick too. Definitely one of my favorite places in this side of town. Perfect for a late night eat or when you don't feel like cooking.

Chicken Grapow Bowl
Kristin C.

I ordered the chicken bowl and while tasty it was awfully dry even thought I asked for extra sauce. I added more of my own sauces when I got home because three bites in, it's dry chicken over dry rice with peppers. Service was friendly but wouldn't return for this dish.

I just stopped by this place, for taking out Pad Thai with Crispy Chicken. Dish was very plain, kinda boring but flavour was excellent, both Chicken and noodle themselves are cooked just right. Noodle had super little green onion so I added baby arugula from my refrigerator. Again flavour was really good, not too sweet, not too saggy on noodle, this made me wanna try more dish from this place. Since they had only a few people sitting, my order came out ready to go very quickly. Sauce came with small container was typical for these Asian restaurant. I would say this option should be more creative for each restaurant.

Pad woon sen
Apex S.

Got an opportunity to try them out a few days ago though a chance collaboration, and boy, I'm glad I did! We tried two rice bowls (chicken grapow and garlic chicken), veggie pad, that, pad woon sen, and veggie spring rolls. First of all, the portions were HUGE. This all lasted a few meals! Secondly, pickup was very easy. They have a table setup outside the restaurant (they even had hand sanitizer for you!) and you can simply walk up and mention your order. The star of the show were there rice bowls! The chicken was well cooked, properly seasoned, and so flavorful. The grapow had a spice to it but it was right on point. And for $8, this is great value for your money. You essentially get a big meal and now you're free to try more variety too! The only change I would have made is requested for more sauce (I like my rice dishes covered in sauce, that's just me!). The spring rolls with the plum sauce made a perfect side dish. Next up, the pad Thai and pad woon sen were tasty and hit the mark. We ate them as leftovers over a couple of days but they held up well! They are certainly creative and trying to come up with new varieties, and I'm excited! Can't wait to try their satay and curries next, I'm sure I'll enjoy them too. Thanks for this great experience, Thai Dish - look forward to more! Keep innovating.

Ordered delivery based on high reviews. Meals were appropriately priced for the food and would suffice if you were looking for a quick bite. Green curry had flavor but was watered down. Crab rangoons were definitely sweetened so the consistency of the cream cheese looked a bit off.

Green Curry
Aya R.

What a delicious green curry! I ordered it with tofu and extra vegetables. Extremely flavorful, came out hot! The only drawback is I would've appreciated a little more of the coconut milk/soup part of it. Clearly it's delish if all I want is more!

Pad Thai

Pad Thai is really good! My new favorite in the area. Recommend for who looking to try authentic Thai dish, you cannot miss this place!

Tom Kha Gai Soup

I stopped at Thai Dish for lunch today. Very small place just off Commonwealth Avenue. Extensive menu, you order at the counter for sit-down or take-out. I ate by the window (I was the only customer at that hour) I began with a generous bowl of the Tom Kha Gai Soup, slices of chicken with mushrooms in light coconut milk flavored with galangal, chilies and lime $4.25. The unique flavors of the galanga and lime combined with the slightly sweet coconut milk make this soup one of my favorites. Then I had the Pickpow bowl with choice of meat (my choice a chicken) slightly spicy, delicious sautéed with chili sauce with mushrooms, carrots, red peppers, scallions, and baby corn. $10. Served with a huge bowl of white rice. The portion as large and I took half home. The food was so good I wanted to try their Chicken Pad Thai. I took one order to go. Rice noodles stir fried with tamarind sauce, fish sauce, egg scallion. $9.25 The place is immaculate, the staff very friendly and accommodating. And be sure to visit the Super 88 Hong Kong Asian Market right around the corner after your meal!

Duck Noodle Soup

This place was fantastic. At first it was a little difficult to find (the gps kept saying arrived but it was actually at the beginning of the street). There is only street parking. Once inside the restaurant, we were greeted right away with a smile from the lady behind the counter. She answered any questions we had and then took our order. The food came out quickly and hot. It tasted fantastic too. Highly recommend this place!

The restaurant is on the smaller side, so there is limited seating. We were seated at the bar, so we got to see the udon being made, which was fun! The service was quick and attentive. I got the spicy hot niku udon and it was delicious. The udon was chewy and the perfect consistency. The beef was thin and tender. Lastly, the spicy broth really brought it all together. If you're a spice lover, I would recommend this item! 10/10 When we wrapped up, there was a long wait. Having been here twice now, getting the spicy cold beef udon and their special tantan udon is definitely the way to go (made the mistake of getting the soup udon the first time). The udon itself goes without saying. It is thick, super chewy, and cooked just to the right softness. The cold beef udon was perfect--the sauce has a great blend of flavors and is portioned correctly. The tantan was an interesting take that is different from typical Chinese tantan flavors, making it unique to their style. The main issue was the service flexibility. I asked for no cilantro on the tantan, and the server said they couldn't accommodate that request because they wanted to serve it the way the chef intended. This was ridiculous considering the cilantro was simply piled right on top rather than blended into a sauce or salsa. In the end, it was just a waste of time having to pick it all out myself. The best part was the table next to us were able to customize their bowl. The noodles and cold beef udon are outstanding, but untrained staff really changed the mood of the night.

We ordered the pork xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), the shengjianbao (pan-fried pork buns), honey walnut shrimp, the stir-fried sliced beef, the water spinach w/ fermented bean sauce, and the stir-fried lotus roots. The beef, shrimp, water spinach, and XLBs were the high points. The beef was cooked in a slightly numbing sauce. The shrimp was perfectly crispy and doused in the signature sweet sauce. We didn't prefer the shengjiangbao, because the filling was a bit dry rather than juicy. The lotus roots were also pretty lightly seasoned - we had expected some more flavor. This is a solid Chinese spot in Boston! I think there are a ton of classic dishes done well. The service was a bit slow to me (it took about 30 min to get our first appetizers and we had to prompt for the check). It didn't wow me overall, but it was tasty.

The restaurant focuses mostly on soba or udon noodle dishes with a good selection between hot and cold options. It's not going to be the best udon or soba you've ever had. HOWEVER, I tried the cold ikura & uni cold soba and LOVED it. It's seasonal, so I tried that one out and was extremely surprised about how much I enjoyed the bowl. Not too much soup and the uni didn't completely obliterate when I stirred it up. They do use American wasabi though, and I found it superfluous to the dish and wished it was served on the side. But regardless, despite not having some extremely high quality noodles, the flavor and experience of the bowl itself was super pleasant. I ended up coming back the very next day because I wanted to try their clam soba. The clam soba only comes hot, which is a bit unfortunately because I actually think a cold clam soba with some lemon or yuzu would be phenomenol. I've been seeing recipes for it online so I've been wanting to try it, but their clam soba is a lot more standard and hot. They had a very good amount of clams in it, but I generally like their cold soba better. Still good, but didn't give me that feeling of needing to come back the very next day like I did with the ikura-uni combo. Overall, I'd still come back when I'm in downtown!
