Nice Chinese restaurant. I got the Braised Pork Rice Bowl and the Crispy Scallion Pancake. The Braised Pork Rice Bowl was a no-frills rice plate. It had tasty, mostly tender pieces of braised pork, broccoli, and pickled radishes. The Crispy Scallion Pancake was definitely crispy, but tasted store-bought (a slight artificial MSG flavor). Will have to come back to try their noodles!

What a delicious spread. Super friendly staff. Easy ordering system -- each table has a QR code and you order on your phone and the food gets brought out to your table. It took about 15 minutes for us to get our food. What we ordered: ** Beef Noodles. SO good. My favorite meal of the day. The beef ripped apart effortlessly. The broth?! So good. I took the leftovers home and heated them up the next day. This meal was equally as good since the noodles and beef were soaking in the broth overnight. ** Vegetable & Pork Wonton soup. It's a close call. This almost tied for first as my favorite dish. This came with 8 massive dumplings in a hot and flavorful broth. I highly suggest adding chili to the broth. We did it and it added a nice kick to every bite while also boosting the flavors. ** Steamed pork soup dumplings. Also delicious. It came with 6 which was plenty to share between me and my friend. No complaints. The portions are massive, the prices are reasonable, and the flavors are out of this world.

Simple ordering system (using your phone and a QR code). Food comes quickly. The Wuhan noodles is mildly spicy and not too nutty compared to Dan Dan noodles. A nice mild nutty taste with a mild heat. Definitely recommend to mix the noodles with the sauce. The braised pork with rice is yummy too. The celery and peanut salad is refreshing to eat. The soup dumplings were bit of a miss. A few pieces were already broken so there was little broth in the dumplings.

This was a quick and easy lunch stop. The store has a cozy, warm vibe, especially at the bar area where we sat to get some extra sun. We used the QR code to order - the wood ear appetizer, the wonton soup, and the pork soup dumplings. Everything came out quick! The wood ear was crisp and cold, with a nice vinegar base. The wontons (8) were large in size but the filling and soup flavor were underwhelming. The soup dumplings (6) were also very large. They were delicious, with a juicy filling and plenty of soup.

Eureka! Found another soup dumpling spot, in Allston ;) Soup dumplings have been an obsession of mine for as long as I can remember & I am always looking for the next best place for XLBs. Boston Soup Dumplings is located in Allston, right next to the BonChon. There was no wait for a table and ordering was rather easy! There's a QR Code at each table & it brings you to their ChowBus menu link, where you can order directly from the link and kitchen starts prepping the food once you put your order in. We decided to try two dishes: -crab meat & pork xiao long bao/soup dumplings -green chili oil wontons The chili oil wontons were yummy, and my favorite of the two dishes we ordered. Flavorful and wontons tasted fresh. The soup dumplings were just all right. They don't skimp on the filling, however, because they give more filling compared to most other places, of course their XLB skin is made thicker to prevent leaking. Wasn't a fan of the thick dumpling skin. Overall, the place is not bad, but I enjoyed other spots around more... I felt that our meal here was very mediocre. We only ordered two items to start just to see how we'd like it and we did end up going to find food elsewhere. Their items also seem to be a little pricier compared to other options in the area and Boston in general, though the XLBs were bigger than I thought they were gonna be.

Absolutely delicious and a great value!! I was completely impressed by how flavorful their food was. I'm not sure of the names of the dishes we got but both were outstanding! The service was great. The restaurant was clean, well lit, and very well kept. This was my first time here so ordering from the Scan code thingy seemed odd but it worked well. Our waiter was very nice and helpful. I'm extremely impressed by this place and will be back. This place is 5 stars due to the very fair prices and outstanding quality food! DElish!

Cute spot we decided to try while running in the rain because my goodness it was a STORM that day. Just popped in to wait out some of the rain before having to trek down the street to our car infront of heytea haha. We grabbed the spicy green pepper wontons and i personally enjoyed this light dish. It definitely had a nice kick and i felt it in my gut within the hour haha! Wontons we are told made fresh in house daily. We also went for the XLB pork and crabmeat filling. The broth was flavorful, there was ample filling! Thanks for that. The wrap itself is thicker, probably helps accommodate the filling without ripping and letting all the soup just leak out! Pricing felt a bit high, but with inflation and our world today, guess it's not too far fetched. They have QR codes to order, sign up for membership and get 5% cash back when you checkout. Cute spot will have to try some main dishes another day!

I stumbled onto Boston Soup Dumplings when my choice restaurant in Allston was closed. And boy, am I glad I decided to go here! Pleasantly surprised with the restaurant, which is small, yet warm and comforting and very clean. The service is quick and efficient. We ordered the steamed pork soup dumplings and the wonton noodle soup - listed as two of their most popular items on the menu. The dumplings were delicious and the noodle soup was filling, with a very yummy broth. The braised pork rice bowl came with a generous portion of rice and an egg at the side. I had a great experience and will definitely go back again.

I came here craving soup dumplings and ordered their crab meat soup dumplings. I wasn't into these as I didn't find any crab roe in the dumpling itself. They were just at the top like decor and didn't add enough of the seafood flavor I'm used to/looking for. It also looked a bit artificial. However, service was quick and efficient so if you're in a rush this would make a quick bite spot.

Very ideal place to come when it is freezing out! I got the wonton noodle soup, the pork soup, dumplings, the spicy beef baos, beef braised noodles. The place was empty, so Service was quite attentive considering it was QR code ordering. The place was nicely clean. I really enjoyed my wonton noodle soup and braised beef soup. The baos were nice and fluffy, but the beef was rather dry overcooked, plain and no flavor, and the spiciness is just the spicy chili sauce that you put in the baos with some shredded onions and thin cucumbers. It was a little bit underwhelming. The pork soup dumplings were OK. They had an aftertaste to it, and it came with some vinegar sauce and ginger, which neutralized it. It tasted like It was previously frozen. It wasn't the best that I've had to be honest. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and I will definitely come back here again to try some other things.

Food: nice food. The noodle soups were great, very nice flavors. Beef was truly beefy. Duck was light and enjoyable. The spicy wontons were more like a wonton soup, lots of soup. I enjoyed the numbing type spice coming from them. It wasn't excessively numbing and had a nice fragrant smell. Service: food came fast and easy. They use QR codes to order for the table. Not an issue for me but some people don't like those. Ambiance: clean aesthetic, clean, and not complicated. It's a nice place during the day for a good lunch. Parking: finding parking will be tough anywhere in this area. I park at the public lot next to Blanchards but it may be full depending on the time. If you're anywhere near dinner time, it will be tough.

This restaurant was clean, fast seating. You order using a QR code on the table. We ordered: soup dumplings, Mala dumplings, duck noodle soup, dandan noodles, and chongqing noodles! Everything was delicious, and the pricing was not bad at all. The food came out fast as well. The soup dumplings were a good size and the skin wasn't too thick or thin. 10/10 would definitely come back!!

Braised Beef Noodle Soup 6/10 Wuhan Hot-Dry Noodles w.sesame paste 6/10 Pork Dumplings in Chengdu Style Zhong Sauce 5/10 Steamed Pork Soup Dumplings w.crab meat 6/10 ~ First Impressions~ The restaurant itself felt very minimal and tight. Nothing in particular stood out but the food was good and the staff and service were attentive and quick. ~The Food~ The food wasn't spectacular, but it tasted pretty good. Came here on a Sunday afternoon with a group of friends and order some dumplings and noodle dishes. The dumplings were nice and juicy although the texture of the skin felt a bit too wrinkly for my liking. The braised noodle soup was a good pick me up, felt a slight bit bland though. the pork dumpling sauce was light but nothing that stood out to me. Overall felt like a pretty normal meal to catch up with friends and enjoy some company. ~The Logistics~ There is some street parking but that particular area is hard to find parking consistently. Down the street there's a public parking lot that I usually like to park at and walk. It's only about 3 min walk. Lots of other restaurants in this area as well to check out for dessert or drinks after the meal!

Shanghai Classic Pork Pan-Fried Buns上海生煎饅頭: I was instantly hooked! It's hard to imagine finding such good pan-fried buns in the US. Almost every table ordered them, so they were all freshly made, piping hot. The bun was made with unleavened dough, making it chewy and refreshing, with a light, crispy bottom--not oily or hard. The meat filling was substantial and tender, with plenty of broth (see picture). It was sweeter than salty, incredibly umami. The chili oil was also very fragrant, and dipping it in Zhenjiang vinegar enhanced the flavor and cut through the greasiness. Shredded Pork & Preserved Vegetable Noodle Soup雪菜肉絲麵: The noodles were thin and round, with a soft, mushy texture. While the noodles were clearly machine-made, this isn't a problem in the Yangtze River Delta region; the issue was likely overcooking. The shredded pork were well-stirred, with tender meat, but the noodles lacked flavor. They had to be eaten with the pickled mustard greens雪菜 to be slightly salty, and the umami flavor was severely diluted. The tableware is all disposable, and tipping is not mandatory. It's quite affordable.

Both Cantonese and Mandarin were seamlessly spoken. Shrimp Rice Roll / Egg: It looked very appealing. However, the soy sauce was ridiculously sweet, much sweeter than in China, completely exceeding the standard "umami and sweet" of the authentic Cantonese cheung fun腸粉 (rice roll) soy sauce. The cheung fun skin was somehow overcooked, so some parts without egg at the bottom were soggy from soaking in the soy sauce, making the whole roll quite greasy. I have to admire my culinary acumen: I managed to preserve most of the skin's basic texture with the extra egg. Fortunately, the shrimp were fresh enough, six in a serving, with a crispy texture. Oh well, since I'm in America, it's tolerable. I must say, I would never have come here specifically for this, never in my life. Spending $10+ on a plate of cheung fun after traveling so far, will make me feel more like a sucker than ever before!
