We had a lovely lunch at Thai Delight. The dining room is upscale. The booths are private and quiet. The table service is high-end with gold silverware and beautiful china. They have gone all out to make the experience memorable, even special. The lunch menu offers many popular Thai dishes and includes spring roll and choice of soup or salad. The hot soup is garlicky with rice noodles. I had the Vegetable Deluxe with tofu. I loved the large mushrooms and fresh broccoli. The meal was perfect. The spring roll was crispy and delicious with a sweet dipping sauce. My husband had the Pad Thai with chicken. He commented on how hot and fresh his meal tasted. He ate every morsel. The staff is attentive and friendly. Food came out quickly, water was kept full and we were checked on multiple times. We had 5 star service. There's plenty of close parking in the little strip mall. Went to Thai Delight to meet some old friends for lunch during the week. Quiet atmosphere and easy to have a conversation friends. Service was great with staff being patient until our whole party arrived. Waiter also answered completely any questions we had about the menu. I did find it amusing there was no refunds on spicy hot orders :-0 .I ordered my shrimp Pad Thai lunch special medium spicy and it was very delicious and came with a pretty generic salad (soup was an option also) Overall everything was very delicious and I would come again, although might get the soup instead of a salad. Ordered on door dash and FINALLY found my favorite Thai spot on the north side suburbs! Phone did not even eat this meal, I was that excited to dig in. The silver noodle salad was tangy and fresh. The pad Thai was exactly what you want from a pad thai. The crab Rangoon had chunks of crab and a thin breading. However, the star of the show... the tom yum soup. Don't ask questions, just try it! We've always liked the food here. Tonight went in with my family and our 5 year old daughter wanted plain noodles. Picky eater. I asked the waiter if they could charge use for a side or a kids meal for plain noodles. No meat no veggies. He refused $18. Really poor customer service. I'm not paying $18 for plain noodles. We hadn't done back to Thai Delight after a negative experience last year. However when we went back this month it was fantastic. Our food was so yummy and the service was fast and lovely. The perfect date spot. The interior is so cozy, upscale, and classy. They have a beautiful back wall with an old fashioned ladder that looks like you're in an old bookstore. They serve their food on beautiful china and it just feels special. Their team is always hustling and working as quickly as they can. There's a free parking lot out front. Best vegetable pad thai I have had in years!! I got the spice level medium and it had the perfect amount of heat and spice. The dumplings were steamed and the protein inside was incredibly juicy and flavorful. It came with a tamarind dipping sauce. Yum! They were both served with an orange like sauce. It wasn't overly sweet and complimented both. perfectly. The other big plus is that they were not super greasy despite being fried. We ordered the orange chicken which came with rice, soft shell crab with green curry (it's on the specials page) with rice and chicken pad Thai. All 3 where phenomenal. Enjoyed dinner at Thai Delight. We had the crab rangoon for our app and it was spot on! We always order crab Rangoon anytime we have Asian food and this one was creamy and delicious! My husband had the shrimp fried rice and he thought the shrimp were fresh and a good size - he had it with a medium spice level. I had the Pad See Ew which is flat rice noodles with vegetables and I added chicken with a medium spice level (it was spicy, but that's the way I like it). We dig on ordering medium spicey for the perfect amount of kick. Their lunch specials are also very good and I dig the vibe in the restaurant itself as well. WoW! Okay, I like spicy food. The rest of the family, do not. We started off order Thai Spring rolls. They were great and got inhaled by the kids in a matter of minutes. We order a number of dishes. Pad Thai Orange chicken Sweet and sour sauté Thai spicy Basil- medium. ;-). My forehead started sweating and I couldn't stop eating this! My sister wanted Thai so we went somewhere close to home. We ordered Pad Kee Mao (extra hot), Basil fried rice (hot), panang curry (hot), and volcano chicken (hot). We weren't sure how spicy the spice levels would be, but all our dishes were not that spicy. Next time, we will order all extra hot. The food was all very good and came out fast. The server was attentive and made sure we had enough water and that everything was good. Though, it felt rushed. We sat down, 5 seconds later, came to take our order (which obviously, we were not ready to order). And the server kind of had an attitude that we weren't ready. Me & a friend visited for late lunch/early dinner (4-5pm). At first we were the only people there, but after 5pm some people showed up, definitely not "busy" on Tuesday evening. We ordered chicken dumplings app, lemongrass soup, jasmine tea, a beef & veggie stir fry entree, crab cakes, and fried banana w/ vanilla ice cream for dessert. Very delicious! Lemongrass soup was still very good as leftovers taken home. I wasn't a fan of the decor, it felt kind of cold to me, or not very inviting, but that could also have been due to no customers being there, other than ourselves, for 90% of our visit. Server was wonderful though, very knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered moderately spicy. although the soup was the spiciest of our food, it wasn't overpowering though. The crab cakes didn't really taste like crab, I wasn't a fan of them, but the soup and entree were amazing! If you're looking to feel like you're at a "popular" restaurant, this isn't it. It was pretty much dead. When we left at 5:30ish 70% of seating was empty. But if you like Thai food, it was really good, with a lot of different dishes offered (extensive menu). read more

What a nice place right near the Monon Park Trail. We came in for a rather late lunch and were pleasantly surprised as we got in and saw the interiors. Beautifully done in shades of gold with lofty upholstery. The service was very good and professional and Ken gave us ample time to be seated and not hover with the next dish or a check and we fully enjoyed our late lunch. The shrimp and vegetable tempura were dripping in oil, not sure if we would try that again. Left us asking for more. The star of the meal was the Pad Thai and the cashew nut curry. The Pad Thai had every bit of flavor and was delicious. The cashew nut curry came with a side of Jasmine rice and was so rich in flavors. Upon sitting down at our table, our "server" informed us that it was a "busy night, so we better get our orders in quick". ?!?!?! WTF?!? Just for that, I'm going to take my time. I honestly felt like I was at Dick's Last Resort, where the servers are supposed to be mean to you, but I wasn't at Dick's Last Resort. Things only got worse from there. It was obvious that our mere presence was a complete annoyance to her. So, if you come here, I recommend laying down the law in advance: Inform your server that if he/she rushes you through the meal, or gets visibly upset if you happen to change your mind about wanting an appetizer as she's going around the table taking orders, politely stand up and walk out. read more

Ordering from Thai Delight was a very smooth process. We ordered by phone and were able to pick up the food correct. The reason I give this review 4 stars is because although I ordered vegetable drunken noodles, I was greeted by a chunk of chicken as I opened the container at home. I unfortunately was not able to eat the food due to dietary restrictions, but my husband was. He absolutely loved it! I hope to try this place out again given my husbands review of the food. A Delightful addition to Westfield! We stopped by on a Friday night, and it was busy but you could tell the service staff works together helping everyone out. The decor was beautiful. They had gold forks and spoons which were extra fun/fancy. Fun fact, in Thai restaurants they will rarely give you chopsticks. When they were modernizing they went toward the western culture from the European and adapted to forks. The food was delicious. The sweet and sour chicken was flavorful and full of veggies. The pad sie iew noodles had a good mix of protein to noodles and veg. The little bites of broccoli in between was a good mix of crunch to the soft noodles. We will def be back! read more
