5 stars. Solid Thai spot. Service is always friendly and accommodating. Price point is appropriate for the amount of food received. The restaurant is smaller but we never have any issues with getting seated. They do a big take out business but the kitchen is extremely efficient and food comes out very quickly. My favorite is the Pad See Ewe but I get it with pad Thai noodles instead of the wide noodles. Medium spice is perfect. Don't ask for mild unless you just don't like flavor or spice. It's just not tasty; very very bland. One tip for the restaurant is to invest in a water filter. The water tastes very metallic. You are gonna wanna ask for some lemon. Parking in the underground parking is super convenient. Or grab street parking if you can find it. Super delish. Great service. Nice portion. Good price. read more

This has easily become one of my favorite places to eat. The service is great, the food is phenomenal. 10/10 every time I come here. I love the curry, I vary between red or green. I go medium for spice as I got hot one time and well IT WAS HOT! Still delicious and. I Love spicy food but it was almost too much for me. I still ate eveything but learned medium is the best for spicy and enjoyable. Spring rolls are great. Since I I ordered from here in June of last year (2024) on uber eats I can't really share my experience with the service or ambiance how wet I can definitely speak on the food. Totally wasn't expecting a stellar Thai smack dab in the middle of downtown Carmel, but what do you know, it exists! we did family style when we were here to get the most variety from the menu, and everything was absolutely wonderful! We started with the fried tofu and crab Rangoon, then got chicken pad, Thai medium spice, and veggie Panang curry, medium spice as well. Everything was solid and flavorful. This is the second time I have gone here. First- what a great location - literally on the Monon which is great as they do have a small outside patio. I had the drunken noodles and a Thai iced coffee. Both were excellent. If you have never tried the iced coffee, do yourself a favor and give it a try. It is made with sweetened condensed milk and is delicious. The inside of the restaurant is very nice and a bit upscale. Service was excellent. Others in my party had the basil fried rice and the pad Thai. They both really enjoyed their meals. read more

I met a friend for dinner, and we're both kinda high maintenance with our very specific dietary restrictions. In fact, we were going to share an app but couldn't settle on one that met both of our criteria--ha! Now that I mention it, I was here about a year ago with yet another friend who also has some drastic dietary restrictions. The reason it's worth noting is because the staff here readily accommodates our requests with no questions asked. The food comes out quickly, yet it's made fresh to order. For example, I was able to order the coconut soup without cilantro and the red curry with no onions. And even without those ingredients, the food was full of flavor. This is my favorite Thai place in Indy! I have been going here for years and they are always amazing. The service is great and the waitress always knows our orders. Everything on the menu is delicious! I always get the spicy basil fried rice, but I highly recommend to try the basil fish. The decorations are so cute (see picture attached) and they always have nice music playing. The restaurant is kind of hidden in downtown Carmel, but it's right across Bub's. There's also a free parking garage under the restaurant. I love that the restaurant is in downtown Carmel, because you can talk a walk down the Monon or to Midtown to relax after eating. Definitely try this restaurant, it will be your new favorite Thai place! read more

Some of the best pad Thai I've been able to experience in Indy. It's a far drive for me so when I'm on that side of town I always stop by.

Impressive ambiance and even better delicious menu. I haven't had such mouth watering Pad Thai in a while. We ordered a veggie Pad Thai (with eggs) and a chicken Pad Kee Mao (beautiful plating for this one). Both were belly-happy good with quite filling portions. Although I had to box 1/3 of the food, which made a great dinner. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. PS. It's located in the heart of downtown of Carmel with many street parking options and a public parking lot nearby. read more

My wife and I agree 100%, The food was great. Shrimp tempura appetizers were tasty, with a light flaky texture,not too much. Served with tempura onion rings. Next we had Tom Yum soup with shrimp. Full of veggies and just the right spicy kick. For entre, my wife had sweet sour shrimp, I had Pad Kee Mao. Both were delicious and all generous servings. We took boxes home because we wanted to save room for dessert. Thai tapioca is great. Served warm and delicious. Our server was great. Very attentive and helpful. The restaurant is not large, but is nicely appointed, feels very comfortable. A great date night evening. Definitely a repeater. read more

I'm a fan of Pad Thai -- the dish and now the restaurant. Ordered take out for dinner and it was ready in about 15 minutes. The lady taking our order was very friendly and helpful, even making jokes that had us laughing. We ordered crab rangoons for an appetizer and I got the chicken pad thai. The crab rangoons were heavenly. Honestly every time I have them, I forget how underrated they are, and these were up there with the best. The chicken pad thai was also delicious, and definitely enough for two meals (which is always a plus). They have 4 spice levels (mild, medium, hot, extra hot). I got the medium but still added a decent amount of sriracha to give it more of a kick, so I would increase the level of spiciness next time. Here's to hoping that Pad Thai sticks around downtown Carmel for many years to come. read more

Interior decor is very cute, table centerpieces, lights, and whole set up in the front. Convenient and central location. Good service, good variety offered on the menu. I loved how the rice came in a heart shape, but the rice itself wasn't that great. The curry was better, the meat was good. There was a leak in the ceiling but they did try to contain it. The Food If memory serves, Pai Thai Restaurant is most likely the first Thai restaurant I tried in the midwest. A friend made a suggestion for this place and I was curious to try. We did family style and ordered several dishes for the table: - Chicken Satay - Pad See Ewe - Green Curry - Hawaiian Fried Rice - Deep Fried Tilapia We got Chicken Satay as an appetizer, it went well with the side of peanut sauce. The Pad See Ewe had good flavor, but the beef was a bit overcooked and tough to chew. Both the Green Curry and the Hawaiian Fried Rice were quite good. But the Deep Fried Tilapia was probably the main highlight of the meal. The skin had a good crisp to it, the meat was nicely cooked, topped with mango along with sweet and sour sauce. It was quite the fulfilling meal and didn't have room for dessert so maybe next time. The Miscellaneous The Pai Thai Restaurant is a bit tucked away in the side street so is easy to miss. They have a decent amount of seating, as well as outdoor seating, when the weather permits. The interior decor is interesting with a noticeable wall of bottles. The service was quite efficient, we didn't have to wait too long for the food after ordering. The staff was attentive, and ensured that drinks were full throughout the meal. Pad Thai Restaurant has quite the extensive menu to choose from. Aside from the standard Thai dishes, they also had a variety of entrees and chef specials. The prices are not unreasonable, though some dishes are on the higher end. read more

I order from Pad Thai through Uber Eats quite often and I am very impressed with the quality of their entrees. I usually order the egg rolls and the pad thai with chicken. It is simply a delight in my mouth. The egg rolls are crisp and taste heavenly. The pad thai with chicken is always cooked to perfection and tastes wonderful. I would like to eventually come to the restaurant in person for dinner one day, but I have enjoyed having the meals being delivered to me through Uber Eats. Their product is excellent and I can tell they take good care and thought into preparing their food each and every day. The food always puts a smile on my face and that is what matters most to me. After enjoying the Chinese moon cake festival we walked to paid Thai carmel on Main Street . They have adquete seating it rained that evening so everyone from outside was coming inside with long wait along with take out orders luckily our wait wasn't terrible with only two people taking orders of 10 tables or more . We enjoyed our spring rolls hot and crispy with sauce, tom yum soup loaded with veggies, our red curry and basil fried rice . The owner was apologetic for the wait . I would say due next careful look at bill as they tack on an automatic 20% gratitude tip without seeing how many at table. Such high quality ingredients and fresh tasting Thai food. I often forget about this place as it's around the corner off Main St but is visible from the Monon pathway. Not busy at all and received attentive and prompt service. The fake candles and beautiful napkin folding made it feel fancy and fun for a weeknight dinner. The medium spice level was just right for me as someone who does not tolerate significant spiciness. My tom yum soup was super flavorful but my only critique is the size of veggies made it hard to eat. I'm a very picky Thai eater and was not disappointed. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we arrived and we were immediately seated. The staff was very attentive and provided us our refreshments right away. They came over to take our order as soon as we closed our menu and it wasn't long until the hot food was delivered to our table. Quality of ingredients is fair, portions good, but just not great for variety of reasons (low spice to sweetness ratio, lack of authenticity, standard homogenous americanized menu selection-affiliated with local thai chain that all have very similar menus and food). My boyfriend and I had our first date here four years ago and continue to come back for our anniversary and celebratory occasions. The waitstaff is always very attentive and kind and the food is fantastic. I hear they have a great selection of wine, although we don't usually partake. And I love their mango dessert as well. Parking is convenient along the street in downtown Carmel or in the parking garage in the apartment/business building. I highly recommend!
