Thai & Go is a locally owned Thai restaurant in a little strip mall east of Greyhound Pass. We stopped for lunch today and we were pleasantly surprised. The dining room is nice with Thai decor. There is also a outdoor patio outside to eat. Light jazz music plays. Tables are spaced apart and comfortable. They offer lunch specials for $10.99 that include soup, salad, spring roll and entree. The options are traditional Thai favorites. Our 5 star server, Nan, was super attentive and friendly. She kept water glasses full. The soup, salad and small spring roll were very good. I had the Pad Eggplant with vegetables. The vegetables were a good mix of green beans, broccoli, carrots and more and were fresh. The sauce was light, fresh and flavorful. The entree was served with a generous portion of white rice. My husband had the Pad Thai, which he loved. The dish was perfectly spiced with the peanuts on the side. Portions were generous. Terrific find for someone like me who loves green curry! We stopped in on a Thursday night and decided to eat in. The service was excellent as was the food. It was very cold inside but that's just the way the building is - everytime the door opened there was a burst of cold air. It seemed like most people were doing carryout so that might be smart on a cold night. The green curry was delicious!!! Definitely one of the best I've had recently. They had a lot of take-out orders while we were dining in and I can understand why! The food was great. I got Drunken Noodles with spice level 1. Even so, service was very good and I heard many positive comments and compliments to the server from other diners as I was waiting for my food. Nearly every table was full but no one seemed to be waiting. Good efficiency from the server. The menu is extensive. Lots of dishes I wanted try! The lunch menu has 14 different specials for $8.99, and this includes two side choices between egg rolls, soup, and salad. There are also several choices for kids including chicken nuggets, chicken tenders, fried rice, steamed carrots and broccoli, and chicken wings. The food was really excellent! We ordered the Pad Kee Mao with tofu, green curry with vegetables, and Pad Thai with chicken. Generous servings. The egg rolls were also very good. I looked online for delivery and it said over 40 minutes so I drove over since it's 5 minutes from my home. It wasn't very busy but there were tons of "to go" orders on the counter. I explained to the host that I had never been there, he was very pleasant, and brought me a menu. He told me they needed to adjust online that it would not take 40 minutes to deliver, that that was there from over the holidays. I was pretty happy about all the tofu options! I could not resist ordering the green curry w Tofu and egg rolls which are all vegetable. I requested 0 spice but he informed me it automatically comes w a Medium Spice, I think a 2? A little spicier than I wanted but the flavors are incredible! My go-to for Thai now that I live in Carmel. There are several places in Carmel now and I thought that this was overkill in the Thai space but it came out swinging and delivers good Thai food. The price is reasonable and it has more types of curries(sp?) than the other places. I specifically enjoy the Panang curry that you can't find in all places. They also have a great Thai Fried rice here and I would recommend you pay the extra buck or two to switch your steamed rice to fried rice. I get this for lunch often, and for lunch you get a spring roll and soup included. Unfortunately they do not directly deliver, but they do have GrubHub availability. read more

Last night, I went with some friends and we split two dishes - one pad Thai and one pineapple fried rice (they were not an adventurous bunch!). Both dishes were delicious - the depth of flavor in the pineapple fried rice made me want to keep going back for more! Side note - as our group had different spice level preferences, our server was able to bring out a spice tray where we could doctor up our dishes appropriately! Ordered over the phone and the food was ready in 10 minutes. The guy who handed us our food was very personable and efficient. We ordered two types of curry. I think this meal would have hit different if we had eaten there because the melding of rice and curry is the best part about curry dishes. We got them both at a level 2 spicyness, which is a very comfortable level (next time I'll go up). I felt like the yellow curry had less chicken and vegetables than the mango curry, which is odd because it is more expensive than the mango curry. You can see what I mean in the photo. For a restaurant still in its infancy Thai and Go provided an excellent overall dining experience. They have an expansive menu but we decided to stick with more traditional dishes and ordered the crab rangoon, chicken pad thai, and chicken pad-si ew to share between the three of us. All of the food was delivered to our table within 10 minutes and was delicious! Our daughter was a little hesitant to not order the chicken tenders and fries (one of the kids meals options) but she was very happy with everything she ate and asked to come back soon. There were a few minor hiccups such as napkins and silverware not being on the table and a slight delay in picking up our credit card/bill at end of the meal, nothing that can't be easily fixed with experience and possibly an additional server or two. Nice little Thai restaurant that popped up in Westfield a few months ago. The staff is all Thai (at least the ones I have met), so they know what they are doing in the kitchen! The staff is very friendly and will do their best to answer your questions. The food is good, and cooked fresh when ordered. Service is usually pretty fast, but give them some time if you have large orders since they are cooking each one individually. The food has great flavor, and can be ordered as hot as you want it to be or with no spice at all. I've been to Thailand 8 times, so I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on how their food should taste. (My pet peeve is when people compare Thai food to Chinese food, or complain that one restaurant doesn't taste like another- especially if they have never been to the country the food is from in the first place!) One of our most favorite Thai food places. I've lived in many different cities from west coast to east coast and in between and this is probably some of the best. We get the usuals that most everyone I think likes to get: the egg roles, Tom yum soup, pad Thai, all the different fried rices and green curry, and all of them are delicious. We actually just had family in from out of town who had this last time they were here and they asked specifically to have Thai food from here again. When we arrived it was not very busy, our server was very friendly and made us feel really welcomed, we started with some veggie egg rolls (no picture because we inhaled them).
