The Tom Yum soup was great. The Crab Rangoon was the best my son has ever had, really full size without the cheap fried extra part. The fried rice was good. The yellow curry was a hit. Summary, we loved the food. Watch the spicy levels, even at medium the Tom Yum Soup was fairly spicy. read more

First of all, this place has incredible prices for how good the food is. Of course, they don't serve giant portions, but great for dinner. I have been twice, and both times have been great service and tasty food. I highly recommend the Tiger Garlic and Pepper for a protein and veggie dish. I myself always stay on the least spicy side of the menu. You cannot go wrong here either with fried rice. Pad Thai anything is Amy favorite. A plus here (also a good heads up for visitors) is that the restaurant itself carries a more formal vibe. From the cutlery to the tables, the whole place has an international charm that makes dinner eventful. Definitely good whether you go with company or alone. My final warning- ginger tea is strongly flavored. Nothing that lowered my experience here, but do know that when you order tea. I can't wait to go back! Thai Nine for the win. read more

Thai restaurant offering an inviting atmosphere with modern furnishings. Providing excellent customer service whether you're dining in or carrying out. I went for lunch and had crab fried rice add shrimp, Thai chicken wings, and Thai tea. The portion sizes are enough to eat for at least 2 meals. I ordered my rice mild because spice levels very depending on the Thai restaurant. Next time,I will order medium because the mild had no noticeable spice, although it was seasoned well. The chicken wings were also seasoned well and crispy. The Thai tea was delicious . read more

Thai 9, in Carmel, offers a nice sit down experience with plenty of options, good portions, and good taste. For vegetarians, our food was good. There's a huge mural of the former king, and I always enjoy seeing the murals in Thai restaurants. Ambiance is a selling point. Had the Thai papaya salad, which was a different but good taste. Fried rice was definitely good. 8/10 read more

I've dined here several times as I love Thai food and Thai Nine is close to me. The dining room is upscale and romantic with little vases of fresh flowers on the tables. The food and service are consistently good. We stopped in for lunch yesterday. They offer lunch special for $12.99 that includes salad or soup, spring roll and entree. The restaurant is quiet with soft music playing overhead. We were seated quickly by the hostess, who was also our server. Jaya was friendly and attentive. She checked on us several times. I had the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) with medium spice. The starter salad had a tasty ginger dressing that I loved. The entree was artfully plated and nice and hot. The vegetables were fresh, crisp and tasty. I liked the mix of vegetables with fresh green beans, carrots, broccoli and more. The spice level was perfect for me. I ate half and took half home. My husband had his usual Pad Thai. The dish had tons of peanuts, which he loves. There is a full bar. We found easy parking in front of the strip mall. Great food and service keep us coming back. read more

Lunch special $13 comes with soup or salad and spring roll. Portion seemed slightly bigger than normal. Excellent food as always. They are pretty quick so if you pop in during lunch break you should be good. Once you get your food they kind of leave you be until you're finished. I wouldn't get anything higher than hot. Pretty spicy. read more

Nice surprise in a little strip center. Very nice inside and bigger than I thought. Staff were very attentive. A varied menu with items you know and some you may not. Plenty of options. I'd never seen pottery shrimp before so went with it. Shrimp are cooked in a clay pot with silver noodles, ginger and other veggies and spices. It's served bubbly hot. It was excellent! We also had the massaman curry. A large portion and very tasty as well. Give it a try you won't be disappointed. read more

Real good Thai food with the best flavors! My dish was so good I planned on eating a little and ended up cleaning up the plate! Service was great, the server explained level of spices so well and I had an absolute great time with my friends. We were given enough privacy and no one kept asking us to leave which is great if the restaurant isn't busy. I enjoyed my time at Thai Nine read more

Excellent experience at Thai Nine. Smaller interior with just a couple of waitresses covering all of the tables. We ordered the roasted duck curry and spicy basil fried rice both at medium heat. The curry was more "coconut milky" than other ones I have had before but was still spiced well and tasted excellent. The duck was tender and delicious. I would absolutely order this again. The Spicy basil fried rice was an absolute hit. I am not ordinarily a rice as a main dish person but my wife and I both agreed that it was one of the best fried rice dishes we had ever tried. Recently moved close to here so this will definitely become our go to Thai takeout spot going forward. read more

I had never even heard of this place until my friend recommended it for lunch this afternoon. I'm so glad she did! I opted for the cashew nut entree with chicken, which they serve with a generous side of rice. The sauce is savory with just the slightest hint of sweet; the onions were tender while the rest of the veggies had a nice slight crunch to them. I was really impressed by the carrot butterfly on top--a true symbol for how much thought and care is put into the entire place, from the friendly service to the stunning mural on the wall. If I'm ever in the area on a weekday, I'll definitely stop by for a lunch special--at $11.99, it seems like a steal. read more

Wonderful service and the food was delicious! It was the first visit for all of us. We will return!!!

Went for lunch, such an amazing deal!!! 2 people ate for $25 with leftovers.... Doesn't get much better Chicken Pad Thai: delicious! Came with lots of crumbled peanuts on top. Was very saucy and flavorful. Green onions were fresh BUT they were in massive chunks. Spicy Basil Fried Rice: you can get it not spicy which is what we did! Once again extremely flavorful, probably one of the best basil fried rices in the Carmel/Indy area. Salad/Spring roll: no joke one of the best spring rolls I have had. Was light and not greasy at all. The salad was mid, you could get a soup instead. read more

Great food, customer service, and ambiance. I ordered take out and maybe only waited no more than 10 mins. Order: -Thai spring rolls - wasn't a fan of the sweet and sour dipping sauce as it was too sweet -Drunken noodles - 10/10 So much flavor -Red curry w/ white rice - 10/10 Not too much vegetables I would recommend this restaurant and would definitely carry out again. read more

Our foodie group came here for dinner a couple nights ago and it was a wonderful experience. I have enjoyed Thai food very much lately and Thai Nine certainly did meet our expectations. The service was impeccable and our server was on top of everything with our group, and we were a large group of people. I ordered the Mango Salmon special because it sounded good, and I was in the mood for salmon. I know it is not Thai food, but I wanted something different. OMG! The portion size of the salmon was huge! The mango sauce and veggies were excellent! The salmon was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth! Everyone else loved and enjoyed their food. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful and gorgeous, especially the bar area. They had a nice mural of Chinese leaders on one of the walls that I found to be very interesting. Overall, Thai Nine is an excellent Thai food place in Indy and you get high quality and value for your money. Our foodie group enjoyed ourselves very much and we will definitely come back here for dinner over and over again. It is simply divine! read more

So many Thai restaurants on north side now. Gonna try them all cause I miss Sawasdee. ThaiNine is a solid 3.5. Good vibe. Service with a smile. I meant to order the salmon basil but ordered Panang salmon. Hubby had the seafood panang. It was good. Can't wait to go back and try what I really wanted. The veggies were Fresh and crisp. They don't have the Asian beers yet. Waiting on that. Will return. And it's finally time for mango sticky rice. Delish. read more

This place is beautiful inside! I loved how warm and welcoming it was! Everyone was so friendly! They seated us in a booth and we perused the menus. They do only serve wine and beer. We started with the spring rolls and crab Rangoon. They both came with the same dipping sauce. I thought the spring rolls were good, nice and crispy. The crab Rangoon was lacking on the crab and heavy on the cream cheese. I ordered the cashew chicken and because I'm a wimp, I ordered it mild and was disappointed in the lack of flavor. It was almost on the sweet side due to no heat. I would definitely try medium next time! The menu had a lot of variety and I will check it out again! read more

I just wanted to put in a quick update to give another shout out regarding how nice it is to dine in here. The food is excellent and works well for takeout, but they add so many nice touches to the dine in experience that I'd suggest carving out the time for that if you can. The dumplings come in a steamer basket, food is served on nice dishes and the gold toned flatware with cloth napkins make for a high quality experience. And....tea comes in a ceramic teapot with a matching cup and saucer! The decorative touches like the carrot butterflies are lovely. On this visit we shared the Thai dumplings which are delicious. I had the mango curry for my entree which was so good! The fresh mango went really well with a medium spice level and the chicken and shrimp were cooked perfectly. They seem to be pretty good with consistency on spice level- medium actually has some heat, and is perfect for me as the spice is there, but it doesn't overpower. Service is always excellent for both dine in and takeout. They do fill up even on weeknights so a reservation might not be a bad idea if you have a bigger group. read more
