Several of my friends and I placed orders for carry out for a get together. We all attempted to place our orders online but the site was glitching and none of us were able to complete our orders. We ended up calling to place our orders. There were a few parking spaces in front of the restaurant which was convenient. Our food was ready when we arrived 20 minutes later to pick up. The employee who gave us our food was very friendly and thanked us for coming in. We had all ordered different entrées so we could share. I liked the Eggplant Lover with tofu best. The crab Rangoons were very good. A few of my friends ordered the drunken noodles, they said they were ok but not as good as another Thai restaurant where we often dine. Ample street parking out front so it was easy to run inside and pay for the meal. We did order online and it required us to sign up for an account with password, which was a bit of a pain since we don't live in the area. We ordered the crab Rangoon ($7.99), pad wun sen ($14.99) and kids chicken fried rice ($9.99). Food was ready when we picked up at 9 pm, I just needed to sign for the order. Everything was super hot and packed up well. The crab Rangoon was a bit different - packed full of cream cheese but didn't have a ton of flavor. We were looking for a quick lunch prior to a nearby appointment and found Thai Indy. The restaurant is in an upscale trendy strip mall in Carmel. There was no available street parking, but there is a dedicated lot behind the mall. The dining room is small, and was half full of lunchtime patrons. Seating is comfortable and a large menu was on the table with Lunch Specials. Cloth napkins were set. June, our server, was attentive and friendly. The food came out super fast and was plated artistically. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) with medium heat. A soup starter consisted of a light broth. The Pad Kee Mao was filled with fresh vegetables that were perfectly cooked and the medium spice gave the tinge of heat that I was looking for. The chicken was moist. The meal came with a small salad, which I love the refreshing dressing. The spring roll was a little over crisp, but good nonetheless. The meal was a lot of food and I took part home to finish later. My husband had the Pad Thai with chicken which he loved. The medium spice level is perfect. The noise level in the restaurant was somewhat annoying. We heard a long distracting work conversation across the room. There was background music, but it did not cover the conversation. Amazing and kind service. Only about 10 tables for dine in. Very clean and decorated for valentines day. Best Thai I've had in Hamilton county. We had Pad Thai, eggplant entree, green curry all with tofu. Havent had such flavorful pad Thai in years. And the vegetables in the entree and curry were tender (I dislike when they are all super crunchy). The Thai iced tea was also a strong flavor which I prefer over watered down. Ordered delivery from DoorDash today. Quick delivery, food was packaged well, but the food did not taste great. At all. The crab rangoon was so overly sweet we couldn't eat it, like the filling had powdered sugar dumped inside. The dipping "sauce" was just an orange oil, no clue what that was. I eat crab fried rice often from other restaurants but Thai Indy's was bland. I couldn't find any crab pieces, it was burnt, and the only flavor was overly smoky, like char. My husband's Kai sol dish was supposed to have chicken and shrimp - instead it had dry chicken and no shrimp. We found this little establishment and were thoroughly amazed! The Ginger hot tea was warming and comforting. We ordered spring rolls that had the perfect amount of filling. My nephew ordered Pumpkin Curry, sister got the Cashew Nut and my choice was Seafood Paradise. All dishes came out the ideal temperature and in a timely fashion. It was all superb! This place is amazing! I moved in right around the corner and afterwards we were hungry. We tried this place and every single dish we ordered was so good! You can tell they make everything really fresh. The pad see ewe noodles have the char on them showing how freshly cooked the dish is.everything just tastes super authentic! I recommend the Tom ka. Good authentic Thai food, really good Thai iced tea. They are willing to accommodate requests and are honest about the level of spice you are about to get yourself into. It's kind of a smallish place so it's possible you may end up with no place to sit inside but there is some outside seating and you could always get it to go if push came to shove. read more

We were hungry so we wolfed our food down but the server just kept nudging us to get out even though there were 4 tables vacant. It's a small space and customers need to keep moving but what if someone wants to just enjoy 15 minutes more with a small kid and it's super cold outside. Our new go-to Thai spot! My parents are new to Thai food, but I asked if I could bring over Thai Indy one night. They agreed and were absolutely blown away. They now request it on the regular and I'm so happy to have a new spot on the roster that the whole family agrees on. Our go-to order: pad Thai, cashew chicken, and ginger chicken. They're all amazing so I want to try more things on the menu, but it's hard to stray from a tried and true winner. This location is super convenient too. There's a big, free parking lot out back, but we can usually just pull up out front (there's a few parallel parking spots). Last time we visited, we ordered right at 5pm and the food was hot, ready, and waiting for us by 5:10pm. The staff are nice and the indoor seating area is small, but in an intimate and tidy way. This lunch special is AMAZING! For $11 you get soup, salad, and a heaping entree. We were literally blown away and plan on coming back! The spicy tofu pad thai (extra spicy) was incredible. I wanted to take home leftovers, but I ate the whole thing then and there. The interior of this place is so cozy! It was decorated so, so cute for the holidays. Service is super quick! We live in Westfield so it was a 20 minute drive back but even when we got home the food was STEAMING HOT! This is the best Thai in the Carmel area!! IMHO. I stopped in on a Saturday just after they opened at 11 a.m. the dining room isn't huge but it's decorated so cute and it is very clean! We were greeted immediately and seated in a booth. We both got chicken pad Thai and had some specialty requests on our dishes. The server didn't write anything down as we ordered and our food came out exactly as we had ordered. I like my spice level at a medium and my boyfriend likes his very spicy. My food was great and my boyfriend said his was spicy hot, in a good way. This is a definite come back to restaurant! First visit to Thai Indy on Old Meridian (across from Meijer). They have a lunch special for $10.99. You get a cup of soup, a small salad, one spring roll and your selection of a choice of entrees, (including choice of meat (chicken, beef, pork, vegetable or shrimp). The entree selections include Pad Thai, Cashew Nut, Sweet and Sour, Red Curry, Green Curry, Yellow Curry, Thai Basil, Thai Fried Rice, Vegetable Deluxe and others. You can specify your spice level: mild, medium or hot. I ordered the Thai Basil with chicken and medium spice. It contained chicken stir fried in a basil sauce with green beans, onions, bell peppers, and basil. It was served with a side of white rice. It was very good, just the right spice level and filling. The menu said the lunch special comes with a small side salad. They aren't kidding!! See the picture. I ate the salad in two bites. It was just iceberg lettuce but the dressing was good. The restaurant is small. They had it set up with 7 two top tables, 1 four top table and 2 four top booths. When I arrived there were 3 groups of 2, each sitting at a 2 top table. Both booths were empty. I requested a booth and they were VERY loath to give it to me. I was a bit surprised since the 2 top tables appear to have bases easy to move together to form a 4 top. And the tables are extremely close together. But to their credit they did get very busy. By the time I left, there was only 1 two top table open. The other booth and 4 top table both had a party of 3. Like most establishments on Old Meridian, you have to parallel park in front. However, there is a parking lot behind the buildings. But unlike most of the other establishments, you can NOT use their back door parking lot entrance. It is for "Staff Only". You have to walk around the building to Old Meridian. Not a big deal but it was pouring rain. My luck. Would I return? Yes. Do I wish it was easier to enter the restaurant? Yes. Do I wish the restaurant was larger? Yes. As mentioned, they were almost full to capacity and had a lot of To Go orders on a table. This is a good problem for a restaurant owner to have and speaks well of the food they serve. read more

Decided to give this neighborhood restaurant a try and I am so glad I did. First off, don't let the exterior fool you. It's very non-descript from the outside but it's absolutely the cutest when you walk through the doors. There's a couple of booths and small number of tables, creating a warm and welcoming vibe. The decor is simple yet modern and the staff was courteous and attentive. I would definitely return again. I started with the crispy tofu and it was very unique. Not sure what they use in their breading but it was different (in a good way) from any fried tofu I've had before. For my entree I had the Pad Thai chicken and it was done just right. I got it Medium spicy (2 of 5) and it was just enough of a kick to not warrant the chili sauce tray. Portions were good, as were prices. This is my new go-to place for Thai, it's great food, awesome service, and the ambiance is so cute! This place is located right across the street from the Meijer in Carmel off Old Meridian Street. There is street parking as well as parking around the back. This place is decorated so well and trendy, their Autumn Decor was so cute as well. The service was quick and our waiter was able to offer awesome suggestions. We started with the Sweet Thai Calamari -- this was AMAZING. The sauce was light and tangy and the calamari was good! I opted for the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) with the medium spice level and it was PERFECT! The noodles were yummy, the veggies were tasty and I added chicken to it as well. Let me first begin with I don't give 5* reviews much, but this place was fantastic from beginning to end. First, the service was very good. Yes it wasn't busy, but the girls working the front were great and super friendly. The restaurant was clean and decorated perfectly. As for the food, all of it was amazing. We started with Thai rolls which were great, but they put a little toasted garlic on them and it brings it to the next level. Next we had a bowl of Thai soup, it was hot with a perfect mixture of noodles, chicken and broth. I usually compare Thai places by their pad Thai and I have to say this was one of the best ones I've had. Everything in it was fresh and perfectly cooked and spiced. Great job!!! I was in the mood for Chinese one night, so I decided to order from Thai Indy through Uber Eats. I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and vegetable spring rolls. The spring rolls were flaky and light and went terrific with the dipping sauce. The Pad Thai with chicken was excellent and had a wonderful texture. I have not been to the actual location in Indy, but I imagine it is a wonderful place with unique decor and ambiance. Thai Indy is one of the better Chinese places I have tried in Indianapolis. The food is fresh and prepared with love and care for the customer. I would recommend Thai Indy to anyone who is looking for a great Chinese Asian restaurant in Indy.
