The first few times were great and I tipped well and thought I had built a little familiarity. I wanted to love it so much, but when they gave the wrong person our order, they told us they would remake our order ASAP. Our original order of curry and beef satay would have taken 15 min. We waited 30. Then the people that got our order came back and got the right one. Then the restaurant tried to give us the food that just came back, that was over 30 min old and had completely left the restaurant. I caught them and they refunded my money. I wanted to love them so much, they are within walking distance from my house. But if they are willing to pull shady stuff like that I have no trust in what happens in the back kitchen to save a buck. read more

Drove by at 8:30 on a Sunday night (en route to another dining spot) and decided to give Thai Original BBQ and Restaurant a try. Was tempted by the noodle soups, but opted for chicken curry. It soooo hit the spot on a drizzly night! Would've liked a few more potatoes (starches, yum!) but all in all a delicious dinner. The chicken and baby carrots bite from the BF was tasty too. Upon leaving, the friendly waitress mentioned delivery was an option (within 3 mile radius) and put in a menu with my leftover chicken. Way to go to! Dont come here . There rice is extremly soggy and there pad thai noodles are kinda dry :( i also noticed there cooks are latinos i would rather have some real authenic thai food . Also there coconut chicken soup isnt to great in taste chicken always looks. Dark brown and also seems as if they use canned mushrooms in the soup . I ordered papaya salad with grilled shrimp and steamed white rice from Thai BBQ through Postmates... waited about 30 minutes (ordered at 5:40, received at 6:20) for my meal which is average wait time. Come to find out I was missing my shrimp, so I called and they said it would take 15-20 minutes for them to deliver a new one at no charge. Told the lady my address and waited for my food. Well, it's now about 6:50 and still no knock at my door.. so I called and apparently they wrote down my address wrong. The delivery guy was literally outside my apartment complex and had no idea where my place was even when giving them my correct address. Come inside to finally eat since it's 7pm now... I open the bag and the papaya juice went everywhere and halfway through my meal there was a HAIR in my papaya salad. I didn't want to call again because I didn't want to wait another hour for a new plate. I guess overall it was an irritating experience to wait one hour for papaya salad juice everywhere around my dining table, on my pajama pants, and to find a hair halfway through my meal. The 1 star is for at least having someone bring me a new plate at no charge. read more

Portion are pretty big for the noodles and pad tai, enough for three. The veggies enough for two. We also ordered the garlic chicken, delish. I totally love their BBQ chicken! Their lunch specials are amazing! $5.95 for very generous lunch portions! Two pieces of chicken, rice, and a side salad too! And free delivery! Or really fast if you eat in! Their chicken is my favorite but my boyfriend likes the BBQ ribs. Our server was really nice and kept our drinks filled without us asking... which is always nice, I am usually a thirsty gal. I will come back again and again. I order from here whenever I'm feeling as though I need something with loads of flavor for a very reasonable price. There are so many menu items that I adore that I'll be brief and list the absolute favorites. The pineapple fried rice is a great choice even if you hate pineapple on savory dishes (which normally I do, I abhor pineapple on pizza) it is definitely a meal in of itself. The glass noodles are my second favorite, they never skimp on the ingredients and this dish is full of veggies and the meat of your choice. This place used to be in my weekly routine. The place is small and well air conditioned. They also have a dope ass fish tank with all kinds of "Exotic" fish that were probably illegally fished. The menu has what you would expect at a thai restaurant, but all the food is prepared very well. It costs about $6 for a noodle dish so it is relatively affordable. Unfortunately their portions seemed to have gotten smaller since i used to go there, that would be the only complaint that i can think of. Also, if you order a pad-kee-mao (it burns so good) then be sure to have pleanty of water. read more

After living one block away from this restaurant for almost two years, I finally decided to pay a visit tonight. I placed an order to-go that was ready within ten minutes (which is something that is awesome to me because if I ever order something online it usually takes about an hour for it to be delivered). And on top of it being ready for pick up so quickly it was also absolutely delicious. I ordered the drunken noodle with beef after seeing the pictures on yelp and from what o saw it looked great. It looks just as good if not better in person, and the food tasted to delicious. A great portion and for just under $10. I recommend this place to everyone in the area, or not in the area, they also offer free delivery. I can't wait to try more dishes that they offer on their menu. I shall be back soon. Their beef Pad See Iw is probably some of the best i've had! It had lots of flavor and the noodles were cooked just right and extra soft and chewy! Texture is pretty much the main reason I like getting Pad See Iw and they definitely hit the spot! read more

While visiting LB this weekend, I convinced my friends to order from Thai BBQ because of all the great reviews it got on Yelp, and I have to say I was kind of disappointed. The food was nothing to rave about. The Garlic Spare Ribs were so dry they tasted like jerky. The Yellow Curry was OK. The Green Garden lacked any real vegetables and looked like something that belonged on the side of a noodle dish. The Drunken Noodles were too spicy--I mean, I like spicy food, but not when the spice drowns out all other flavor. I will agree, though, that the service was top-notch. I might try it again if I actually lived in town, but overall...meh. read more

Looked thru good spots to eat while in long beach today and came across this thai restaurant, decided to get some pork spare bbq ribs with shrimp fried rice and eggrolls on the side and it was a big plate i was able to share with the person i went with . The best Thai Spring Rolls!!!! Great Flavor!!! The service is fantastic. Everyone that works there is so nice. When you eat there and order the Thai Iced Tea they give you a huge cup. This is the best Thai BBQ around long beach! Best place to order for delivery... they are really fast, the food is always right and temperature right too! Best thing to order of course is the Combination Pad Thai and S-1 ( Thai BBQ Chicken w/ Rice ). I also like ordering the Thai iced coffee, it's not so sweet, just perfect. If you order two entrees you could always share and split both entrees between the two. It's totally worth the money and convenience that great food could be delivered. I just moved here to the LBC and i was craving something spicy and the urge to order thai struck. As i have been doing since i moved i looked on yelp and was happy to find that the Thai place i frequently drive by was so highly rated so i called and order for Delivery which is a major plus after a long day of work! This is my go-to thai place for lunch. The lunch deals have unbeatable prices for the amount of food/quality you get. I usually get the mint-beef lunch plate and it takes the chef no longer than 5 minutes to make. The onions, bell peppers, mint, beef, chile all come together in this amazing dish. Its the right amount of spice and i make sure i order my thai ice tea. They out shaved ice into it i love it especially on a hot day eating the shaved ice its coated in the remaining thai ice tea. Overall the food is great but the dining setting seems a lil outdated but still a great place for lunch. read more

4 stars for the food and 1 Star for the actual restaurant..... the food is delicious but just don't get too curious about the up keep of the restaurant. The fixtures have atleast about a pound of dust settled on them, there's grime buildup on the furniture, and the kitchen cook didn't even have a hair net on!
