First, we had the best service and they accommodated our speed and style of dining. Tried multiple dishes and desserts. Spicy eggplant stir fried with veggies was delicious and medium spicy was not very spicy. Tom Yum fried rice with shrimp was very seasoned with the right amount of spicy. Pad Thai with beef had the best noodles, perfectly chewy. Slightly on the sweet side, but very addictive. Good portions Papaya salad was very fresh and tasty. Inside was crowded for lunch, but the patio was empty. Patio was lovely today, beautiful weather. Mango with sticky rice and coconut custard was one of the best desserts we had in a long time. Definitely getting this again. The Thai Coffee with crème brûlée was smooth and creamy, very satisfying. Avocado and honey smoothie was creamy and good, maybe more avocado flavor could have improved the taste. Will definitely come back with more friends.

My friend and I both had two of those cold, refreshing smoothies during our first visit! Definitely try their other drinks too--the matcha crème brûlée is incredible. The desserts are also amazing, and now our goal is to try something new every visit. All the food is flavorful and satisfying, and it's such a cute spot to unwind for dinner. The service is awesome, and everyone on their team is nice! Only wish it was closer--check them out!

Renowned for authentic Thai dishes made with fresh ingredients and without MSG, I finally visited after hearing many praises. The staff was friendly, and their spice level recommendation was spot-on. The atmosphere was a bit dated but decorated with numerous Thai artifacts, paintings, photographs, and ceramics, creating a warm and inviting setting. The Khanom Jeep, a Thai steamed dumpling, was dry with a thick skin and a somewhat bland flavor, while the Kuay Tiew Moo Toon (stewed pork noodle soup in herb broth) from their Thai Select menu was outstanding. The pork was tender, complemented by meatballs and bean sprouts for added texture, and the black peppers and spices balanced the sweetness perfectly. The menu features many dishes, and I look forward to trying more soon.

SERVICE: Service was very nice and attentive. Food took a a little while to come out, but wasn't too bad. FOOD: ~Thai Tea (4.25): Definitely one of the better Thai Teas I have had in the area. Good tea flavor, creamy, and not too sweet. ~Pad thai (3.9/5): Decent flavor and the portion was giant. ~Drunken noodle (3.5/5): Was okay, but tasted more like padseew than drunken noodles. Didn't come with peppers/tomatoes like I've normally seen ~Fried whole fish special (2/5): Was very disappointed in this dish. It was very crispy, but the fish meat was overcooked/dry and under seasoned. The garlic sauce that came with it was also just okay. Would come back here for their noodle dishes and maybe try some of their curries.

The duck roll has hard not chewable meats in all of them, we had to spit them out. Papaya salad can use a bit more thai seasoning, the spicy level was good. Pad thai was very yummy so were the veggie dishes. the atmosphere was so-so, furnitures definitely need to be updated, as they will be going through renovations in September. the cute figurine on the walls were adorable. located in a busy shopping center, parking can be difficult to find at times. do recommend put up a mirror in the restrooms during your next month renovations. foodies of @WineDinenVacay enjoyed majority of this visit, plan to return post renovation.

My wife and I finally decided to try this place after years of saying "one day". We've now ordered twice in the past 2 weeks. The first time we ordered the Ka Prow fried rice and the drunken noodles with medium spice and chicken. I ordered the lunch size drunken noodles and it was a good amount of food! They were the best drunken noodles I've had around here by far. And the Ka Prow fried rice was so smoky and full of flavor! It makes all other fried rices feel boring in comparison. This time I ordered the Kao Soi chicken. It had a delicious red curry sauce and two whole chicken legs with the egg noodles. I loved how rich the flavor of the soup is. The full grilled squid was something we ordered on our first time and it was also really good but I think a tad overcooked. I can't really speak to service other than the staff being friendly when I've walked in to grab our order. But the inside of the restaurant is cozy. We will definitely keep coming back here and highly recommend it if you're in the area.

I ordered the following chicken: "Ginger Flavored: Stir fried with fresh ginger, onions, black mushroom, snow pea, baby corn, bell pepper in our special black bean sauce" There was no black bean sauce. Zero. Black bean sauce has a distinctive look to it, to be sure. There was barely any sauce, and what little sauce was there, was a perfectly clear sauce. I did call the restaurant right away to let them know, because I did not eat what I received. My dinner was not good and a complete waste. Unfortunate. Even more unfortunate was the fact that the person I spoke with did not seem to either believe me or care. I will add a photo of what I received in a bit. I was very much looking forward to this food so feeling mostly disappointed, is all.

However, when you go in, you'll be surprised to find that all the flavors are pretty solid. FIrst, the crab fried rice is something that I wouldn't ordinarily order but based on the other reviews, I felt like I had to. It was solid! Also, the flavors of basil chicken were on point like any reputable Thai place. Lastly, the watercress salad was also just as good as reviewed. It was crunchy and savory, sweet but also acidic. Overall, it was everything Thai that you'd expect. I'll definitely be back!

But what we did get was pretty darn good (if a bit pricey)! The style is much more authentic, so if you're looking for something like Hunan Cafe (Greenbriar), or that NOVA institution China King, this is different. Is it better? For the most part, yes. (But I still crave that Americanized sweet, spicy, glazey brown sauce that comes in slight variations in so many dishes). I had the hot and sour soup, Szechuan spicy fried eggplant sticks, Taiwanese rice noodles with fried tofu, and the Chengdu twice cooked pork. Everything was excellent, except....the hot and sour soup. Honestly, Hunan Cafe and China King beat the pants off this place's hot and sour soup. Here, it was a bit too sweet. It had some red chilies in it, but I could not detect much white pepper. And it's a vegetarian version, so no small bits of chicken or pork. I'd skip this the next time I order from here. But the other dishes... amazing! The noodles were light-tasting but still delicious. The eggplant was garnished with cilantro, garlic, salt, and red chili sauce. The twice cooked pork was sauteed with sliced leeks and the same red chili sauce. I think that's the fresh, zingy, spice flavor profile I like that can't be found at Americanized Chinese restaurants. Sure, China King has its place and I'll still go back there when I'm close (RIP China King Fair Lakes and Herndon). And admittedly, I go to that awful Panda chain occasionally because I never learn. The unfortunate thing is, I'll more likely go to these places than Cheng's because of the price. The pork dish was $21 and the noodle dish was $19. My total bill came to $60 before tax and tip. If I need to stuff my face with a Chinese umami bomb fast, I'm probably going to the other places for $15-30. I do want to try the rest of the menu at Cheng's, but it's going to be a drawn-out process for the sake of my wallet. I'd be remiss if I didn't include a comment from my dining partner. She compared the quality and taste of the food at Cheng's to Peter Chang's (either Peter Chang's-Herndon, or Mama Chang Fairfax). A high compliment. But she said the value is better at those places' AYCE options than what we got at Cheng's, and I agree. If you've been to none of these places, you have to try them all at least once.

The issue is this places gets busy quickly and the waitress and waiters dont have specific tables. They are all sharing. That is a big problem. You dont catch who you've been ignoring. We came in a group of 2 and was giving 1 water. Asked for another 2 times and no one thought oh we never gave them the water. I usually order red curry but I order fried rice and my bf order red curry. He was waiting for me to get my food. I told him to eat. He almost finished his plate before my fried rice ever came. I had to ask about it. It was just horrible experience that I would never come again in person. Ordering online or deliver. I always order red curry and spicy....the spice must depend on the cook for the day thats the only thing not consistent but its so good spice or not. Only reason I gave 2 stars otherwise off of in person id give 1 for the experience. Everytime I come in its just too busy and not worth it. Especially when there isnt a designated waiter or waitress per table. Just leads to ill experience and no accountability for the ill experience.
