8/10 bang for the buck rating... I dont really have anything bad to say about this place. My food was actually really good and the price was pretty cheap compared to everywhere around the area. I feel the only way to justify recommending this place is to breakdown my experience into micro 10 star ratings. Food 7/10: Flavor wise it was really delicious maybe 7/10. Balance of ingredients was 7/10 and is the reason the flavor wasnt 8/10. The freshness of my ingredients was at least an 8/10. The meat texture and flavor was super mid but good enough for me so ill give it a 6/10 as the chicken was prepared slightly better than my beef. My beef was so thin and not as tender as I prefer, but they had to makw it that size or else the meat would probably have too many chewy spots to enjoy, so yea they know how to work some magic and make that mid grade beef edible enough to get a passing score from me. The portions make up for this with a 9/10. I had to order extra rice for my curry for it to be enough rice for how much curry I got, it would have been a 10 had the side rice portions also been generous. The drink portions and flavors are also average so id give them a 7/10. The menu has a decent variety of average tai food. Both the menu and website version are easy and simple as each category has about 4 or 5 options. A bit limited in the nunber of dishes under each category. The ability to pretty much pick your meat type all for the same price is also a bonus so ill give their menu infrastructure an 8/10. More variety would help, but its good enough for me. Service: 6/10 which is pretty average. They were working harder at preparing food than they were being available for customer, but they still came out here. They were not absent enough fo bother me. Ambiance: 6/10. The decor is forsure needs to be upgraded 4/10, but it just has uw nostalgia feel that brings me back to the days when i attended Uw and would eat at the various shops around the area. There's also a small arcade machine that only adds to the value. Im sure the students love it. The place was full of college kids so I didnt get to play any games or get any photos worth keeping. Its also pretty small inside which doesnt help with the noise when all the kids are inside conversing. I wouldn't recomment this place for a fancy date, just for an average night out and togo food. Bang for buck? 8/10. The food is plenty tasty enough and the quality is passable. The balance of each dish could have been batter as some dishes seem to have more ingredient variety/quantity than others. At this price range, I feel like you get exactly what pay for, but with a slightly larger portion than expected. I would wouldnt exactly recommend this place as a must go, but if your looking for some good and affordable food thats not just edible, but actually good enough. I had plenty of left overs and happily devoured them later in the day. Lets just say ive had much worse for the same price, but with smaller portions. I wont rush back, but I have a feeling ill be back. read more

Serving sizes are pretty good and their drinks are rlly good especially for value! They're only $3 and you get a full size it's very generous. If you're good with spice I'd go the highest level you can since it wasn't spicy at all. It's very cozy on the inside and plenty of seating. The owners are usually just in the kitchen/back but they're very nice and if you need anything you can just give them a holler! read more

Thai 2 Go is one of the closest Thai places to my area and it's pretty reliable! The food is great but I would say the restaurant is much more of a take to go place. The restaurant itself doesn't have the greatest ambiance but the workers are very nice. It did take around 20 minutes from ordering to receive my food but that's typical for restaurants. Anyways the food literally scratched the garlic love itch I have because it's the best spice ever. I got the garlic rice with eggs, tofu and vegetables. The egg was cooked to perfection and the food is just a great hit. read more

This is a small casual Thai spot by the UW a little off the ave. It's quieter and usually not as chaotic as the restaurants on the ave (aka University Way NE). The prices are great, the portions adequate and I've enjoyed everything I've ever ordered. I appreciate the free drink with meal purchase as well! Great spot for a quick lunch bite. I came here with a colleague during lunch hour. For some reason, the Ave gets so busy during lunch hour and it's hard to find a place that allows for a conversation. We chose here since it was very quiet. It looked new, so I guess that might explain the quietness. It was a pleasant surprise when we noticed how reasonable the price was and how thoughtful they prepared the food. It was cold and we both ordered something soupy: Tom Ka and Noodle curry. Both dishes were great, full of flavor and fresh ingredients. I will probably stop by again and get takeout. It's always nice to have another good Thai restaurant to go to. read more

It pains me when a new Thai place pops up, has good reviews, but doesn't live up to them. The ladies at the counter were super kind and welcoming, and I really wanted this place to a spot I could reliably return to for future meals. But, my food was very bland across the board, which I can't understand. So much of Thai food is inherently SO flavorful, so it's especially disappointing to somehow end up with the bland variety. I had the Chicken Pad Thai (spiciest level available, which was not spicy at all, btw) & Beef Pad See Ew. I think they mixed up my order, as the vegetables in my Pad See Ew were very much what you'd find in Pad Kee Mao, but regardless, it had very little flavor, and I had to desperately scramble to add condiments to it to make it taste like anything. read more

They act put-out that they might have to walk 2 steps to bring your food to your table and instead yell at you to come to the counter to pick it up. This is during slow times, no other customers and 4 "cooks" standing around in the kitchen (I can't help asking them if they're busy). Literally burnt my hand on the thin metal soup bowl carrying it to my table. Don't dine in here. You're too much trouble for them. read more

This place is now one of my go to spots when I'm on campus! The portions are average but the prices are very affordable. The food is also very simple but delicious. It's not too heavy either. The Thai tea is amazing and not overly sweet. I'm pretty sure they make it with condensed milk which is pretty rare! You order at the counter and then you can take your seat. The workers there are very nice as well. I don't think there's air conditioning so just be mindful of that. It's a nice cozy restaurant. I wanted to gatekeep this place but that's not fair lol. I can't wait to try their other dishes and icecream! read more

Finally decided to give this a try and I was pleasantly surprised! The portions are average but prices are some of the best I've seen near UW campus. The dish I wanted was out for the day so I settled for the Pad See Ew. The taste was solid. Nothing that stood out but nothing to complain about, just a good pad see ew. The best part was how kind the family that runs it is. Definitely pay a visit and you'll see for yourself.
