My husband suggested Thai food for lunch so well searched up places around Bayside. This place showed up so we decided to try it. Inside was nicely decorated. They sat us down immediately and handed us some menus. The menu was very big. We were surprised that they had lunch specials on a Sunday. My daughter and I got the lunch specials on while my husband got the massaman beef curry. He enjoyed it. My daughter got the pad see ew with chicken. As an appetizer she got the golden fritters. I got the labna with squid. I got tom yum soup as my appetizer. My daughter liked her pad see ew but thought the golden fritters tasted frozen. I also liked my labna and the squid was very tender. The soup was not very flavorful although it was slightly spicy. It was a nice affordable lunch.

Stopped in for dinner and enjoyed some delicious Thai food. The vegetable dumplings were flavorful and cooked well, and the spicy basil noodle was amazing - great flavor, cooked to perfection, and everything I could ask for. The wait staff was excellent and super accommodating for my vegan friend. Definitely recommend!

Good food, very friendly staff. The flavors were spicy but not too overpowering. I really enjoyed my meal here. This is my second time eating here but I finally got a chance to review it. Will definitely be going back again.

Great place for an affordable meal. Portion size was good. Shrimp was fresh. Fried rice was a little spicy. And the Thai ice coffee really hit the spot. Service was fast and staff was very friendly.

I scoped this spot out in yelp before coming to eat here and I'm actually shocked by the low rating. So I'm here to boost it for the great experience I had Service: very friendly and attentive server. The food came out relatively quickly too. Food: really delicious and great lunch special. App+entree for $10!!!!! Loved the crispy garlic duck (not part of lunch special). The vibe: nothing special just very standard but not ugly neither. Good for a quick dinner/lunch

The restaurant is beautiful, spacious, and has an upscale vibe without feeling stuffy. The service was excellent--everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. Now let's talk about the food... Drinks: * Lychee Sangria * Lychee Martini * Thai Iced Tea Every single one was delicious, and the cocktails definitely didn't skimp on the alcohol. We started with the spicy papaya salad, and I loved the bold, tangy flavors. It had just the right amount of heat. My friend ordered the Pad Thai, and I went with the Crab Fried Rice. It was packed with real crab meat, the portion was generous, and every bite was flavorful. Dessert was the perfect ending: fried ice cream and mango mousse cake--both absolutely delicious. Overall, BKNY Thai delivered on the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. This is definitely a place I'd come back to!

The BBQ chicken comes with a very generous portion of lean, delicious chicken with savory dipping sauce & sticky rice. Service is among the best ever: proactive, friendly and helpful. We've been here a few times & each is consistently a great experience!

( https://www.instagram.com/p/DQF8Gzekcks/ ). It is a shame because, besides myself, I know a few people that aren't in the neighborhood that travel regularly to G&L. Also its surprising because every time I go the place is pretty packed and occasionally there is a wait. What's also a shame, for me, is that on my recent visit my friend ordered the Steamed Seafood in Lemongrass and this is perhaps the top, or one of the top dishes on the menu. The seafood flavors and balances the slightly spicy lemongrass broth making this a crave worthy bowl. I ordered something out of my wheelhouse - the Coconut Spicy Lemongrass Soup, which on online order menu states its a popular dish. I couldn't see why this dish is so popular because I find other items on the menu superior. They make a tasty pho (especially when paired with a marrow bone). Their sandwiches are well made - I enjoy the different fish ones. I think their Vietnamese coffee could use some work - it is blander than other versions I had tried. Don't be too sad and maybe feel a little optimistic because owner Petra Rickman has a great track record opening interesting, in demand restaurants (This one and Taco Azul have been longtime go-tos in Whitestone). Additionally G&L has a 2nd location with the same menu in Manhattan, which unfortunately for a Queens boy like myself is a bridge too far and a congestion pricing too high for me to make the trek.

I've been back multiple times and it never disappoints. First, the sheer scope of the menu is impressive -- Korean, Japanese, and Chinese all done well under one roof. For the indecisive eater, this place is a dream. Our table ordered the gamjatang (pork bone stew), rose tteokbokki, and shrimp tempura, and every single dish was a hit. The rose tteokbokki in particular -- creamy, perfectly spiced, not too heavy -- is something I still think about. The gamjatang had incredible depth of flavor, the kind that tastes like it's been simmering all day. The portions are generous and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality you're getting. The combo sets are especially great value if you're coming with a group. The space itself is large and modern, with a comfortable, lively atmosphere that works just as well for a family dinner as it does for a night out with friends. Service was attentive and the side dishes kept coming -- always a good sign at a Korean restaurant. And yes, the tea is wonderful. They also have their own parking lot, which in Flushing is practically a luxury in itself. Whether you're a regular in the neighborhood or making a special trip out to Queens, Tang is absolutely worth it. One of the most satisfying and affordable dining experiences in all of NYC.

And more: cold dish - garlic cucumbers to start. Classic soup dumplings (pork filling). I usually do not order the crab meat or other varieties as those seem gimmicky. The restaurant gives you a free order of pork dumplings with dine-in purchase of $20+. This visit I did try a new noodle dish - egg noodles with crab roe. It was interesting indeed. While I've had better crab roe toppings (this one was a bit greasy//oily for me) I can see why they added it to the menu. It's been a trend. The Peking Duck and crispy skin pork are still my go to dishes when coming here. It's just not easy to make at home so I'm happy to buy it. Totally classic dishes. We also ordered the beef pancakes which is also a great sharing plate. This spot is a keeper. The entire staff was professional and courteous, but the manager, Leo, truly stood out. He has always been warm and welcoming. Over the years, we've even had the chance to chat in our dialect, Shanghainese, on several occasions. He consistently goes out of his way to make sure guests feel well taken care of. Tonight, my husband ordered the General Tso's chicken, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Of course, I couldn't resist ordering a little too much for myself-- fried bean gluten, mixed vegetables, pan fried udon noodles, and brine squid. As always, they sent out complimentary steamed pork soup dumplings and, to finish, two sweet fermented glutinous rice soups for dessert. I even had leftovers--udon noodles and fried bean gluten--for lunch tomorrow. Everything we had was absolutely delicious and carried a deep sense of nostalgia--the flavors truly brought me back to where I grew up in Shanghai. Needless to say, we left very happy and will definitely be back again soon.

This place feels like a hidden gem you almost want to keep secret... but it's just too good not to share. What makes Pho Metro stand out right away is how authentic it feels. You can tell this is truly a labor of love. One guy runs the show and somehow manages to do it all, from cooking to serving, and the care he puts into the food absolutely shows in every single bite. It has that comforting, homemade quality that makes you feel like you've stepped into a small family kitchen rather than just another restaurant. The food itself is outstanding. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, from the herbs to the broth. I highly recommend the thin noodles with the spicy lemongrass broth (you can request this if it's not listed). It's bursting with flavor, slightly tangy, perfectly spicy, and deeply savory in a way that warms you from the inside out. Every spoonful feels like a cozy blanket on a cold day. The summer rolls are another must-order. They're fresh, light, and packed with flavor, and the peanut sauce that comes with them is absolutely delicious. It's rich, savory, and addictive enough that you'll find yourself scraping the cup to get every last drop. Another detail I really appreciated is how everything you need is right at your fingertips. All the sauces are readily available at the table, so you can customize your bowl exactly how you like it without having to ask or wait. It makes the whole experience feel easy, comfortable, and welcoming. And don't skip the Thai iced tea. It's perfectly sweet, creamy, and refreshing, especially alongside the bold flavors of the pho. It's the kind of drink that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. Overall, this place delivers on flavor, authenticity, and heart. It's rare to find a spot where you can truly taste the effort and pride in every dish, but Pho Metro does exactly that. I will absolutely be returning again and again. We did have to drive back to pick up the order, but customer service was excellent. We tried the beef noodle soup ($22), salt and pepper chicken ($22), Taiwanese pork chops ($22), sauté string beans ($22), 3 cup chicken ($22). The beef noodle soup was fantastic. Broth was savory, and portion size for the noodles and beef was enough for 2 people. The beef was thick, tender, and delicious. I did wish the noodles clung onto the soup more, but I just took a sip of soup between bites and was still satisfied. I thought the sauté string beans, and 3 cup chicken were fine.
