I even saw a pickle ball type place that looked really fun! The lobby area is beautiful and had someone playing a piano. I'm not sure what else is included on the other levels but this is a really nice building. I went to the restroom and it was very clean. While eating I saw a working constantly cleaning. I definitely recommend this place.

Whether you're looking to enjoy some Mexican, Indian, Chinese, or a fusion of flavors, they've got it. There's also a central bar that serves cocktails with live music and happy hour specials. Free 2 hour parking in the Lyric Garage is amazing for its location, you only need to scan the QR code on your purchase receipt on your way out. I sure wish that many other Downtown area food halls offer free parking. The open seating makes it easy for small groups to grab food and drink from various vendors and dine together. There are a variety of events throughout the week that are enticing, including $8 marg Sundays and Mondays, Trivia Tuesdays, half off wine Wednesdays, live Latin guitarist Thursdays, live jazz Fridays, and reverse happy hour on Saturdays. In addition, you'll fine special events and even classes every now and then posted on their calendar.

The best part of POST Houston for me is the history behind the building. Knowing the history of the…read morespace adds a lot more character and appreciation to the experience than simply looking at it as another food hall or entertainment venue. The building itself has a large, open industrial style interior with plenty of natural light, which gives the space a distinctive feel. There is a lot of room to walk around and explore and since it wasn't particularly busy during our visit, we were able to take our time looking through everything without feeling rushed. There weren't any events happening while we were there, so the overall atmosphere was fairly quiet. I could see the appeal of coming back when there is an event happening, as I imagine the space has a much livelier energy when it's being used for its full range of activities. We primarily went to check out the POST Market, which has a food court style setup with different cuisines and food options. (I'll be reviewing each of the places we tried separately.) The selection was varied, although I wouldn't describe it as particularly extensive. Unfortunately, the food experiences we had were consistently overpriced and underwhelming, which made the overall trip feel fairly uneventful. This was probably one of the more disappointing aspects of the visit. Considering the market wasn't particularly busy when we went, I was surprised by how many tables were sticky or visibly dirty. The washrooms were also in fairly rough shape and could have used more attention. The condition of the common areas was noticeably below what I would have expected from a venue of this size. Parking was convenient and free for the first hour, with charges of $6 applying after that. Overall, POST Houston was a pretty average experience for me. The history and character of the building, along with its open industrial design and natural light, are what stood out most positively. Based on our experience, I wouldn't make a trip back specifically for the POST Market. That said, I'd be interested in coming back for an event to see how different the atmosphere is when the space is busier and there is more happening. Hopefully, more businesses continue to move into the space as well, giving people more options for shopping and dining and creating a livelier overall experience.
