    Hanging with my valentine
    Charisse T.

Hung out with my sister for Valentine's Date Night, we had a event next door so we decided to dine at Post prior to the event the weather got extremely bad but I arrived right before the sky opened up. But that didn't deter others from coming out it was very packed, I found a parking spot right in front but sat in car until rain slowed down. We walked around taking pictures in all the best picture spots before deciding on our dinner spot. We had a fantastic time it was my sister's first time visiting so it will not be our last. Because I parked 3 hours 30 minutes my fee was a whopping 40.00 mind blowing.

Going to POST has always been fun. I've never been to an event hosted here so it's never been too packed when I've ate or hung out on the rooftop. Parking situation has changed over the course of the last couple years. Need to pay now but much safer and easier access with the gates. Lots of dining, dessert and activity options inside and picture opportunities. Love the cocktail bars inside as well!

Highly recommend coming to visit for the beautiful skyline backdrop! Make sure you're ready to walk up a flight of stairs or opt for the elevator! ;) Everyone who comes to visit Houston should visit! Several eateries, little shops, and rooftop seatings.

The POST in Houston is a visually appealing space with a bright, energetic atmosphere, but my visit left me with mixed feelings. We went right before the Erykah Badu concert at the music hall, so the crowd was especially heavy. On a Friday evening like that, finding a place to sit felt a bit like a rat race, with people constantly moving and searching for open spots. While the lively environment is part of the charm, the large crowds made it difficult to settle in and truly relax. Nothing bad happened, but with so many people packed into one space, it was hard to shake a slightly uneasy feeling. Overall, The POST is definitely worth experiencing at least once for the aesthetics and energy, but I'd probably choose a less busy day or time if I were to go back.

I came to Post earlier tonight to enjoy Houston's skyline and the light art installments situated on the venue's rooftop. The view was beautiful and they projected a movie for guests to watch up top. It was a perfect way to start off my Houston trip. Post is gorgeous and holds a variety of small shops, places to eat and much more. Earlier they hosted a free line dancing class which was fun to watch.

We love bringing people who visit to post. We were there when there was a private event happening. All the signs said a wristband was required at 5pm at 4:40 he rudely yelled across the park at me saying you need to get out of here. I told him the sign said 5 and I will finish my last bite of food and leave. He continued to explain how I need to leave immediately that I'm not allowed unless I pay. I think his unprofessional behavior should not be allowed.

A great place to show anyone new to Houston. I like they are leaning more towards an art vibe here and I love to walk around and experience a lively and youthful vibe of the vendors, and end my time with the skyline views. They also have cars and coffee here which is the first Saturday of every month. The only thing I would say is the food court is very mid level, so I wouldn't recommend eating a good meal here but to expect mall quality food and experience.

POST Houston is an amazing downtown destination! Loved the vibrant atmosphere, rooftop views of downtown, and variety of eateries. There's something for everyone -- from casual bites to unique drinks, plus art and events throughout the space. Great spot to explore, grab a meal, and enjoy a lively downtown vibe. Highly recommend visiting!

Interesting space with a food hall that cover every continent. You can eat Georgian kinkhali and sushi with some Italian in between. The green space within the building creates a chill vibe. Can't wait to go back and continue exploring.

    Colette M.

Ok place for a food court, notuch else going on below, but the green space on the roof is everything! Plenty of places to have lunch, chill, and take amazing pictures of the skyline! They always have events and happenings here, easy parking ($6 ph), and will have rotating installations--like Art HTX right now--a must go to .

POST Houston doing the most! True to its name, POST is a newish multi-use complex located in the heart of downtown Houston in the historic USPS headquarters originally built in 1934. Renovations have maintained the history of the building while making room for a large food hall, POST Market, a music venue, 713 Music Hall, a new media art museum, Art Club, a sky lawn with fantastic views of downtown, and a whole lot more. The architecture and design in the building is really spectacular. There's three main staircases (the X, O, and Z stairs) that transport guests from the ground floor up to the top sky lawn passing through a different spatial experience. You might recognize these stair cases from some iconic Houston photos. Every space, even the back dock is truly unique, inspiring creativity and speaking to the character of the building. I've been to POST many times now and still continue to enjoy visiting as there's often new events, exhibits, and vendors to check out. I also really enjoy taking guests from out of town here was there is so much to see and the views of downtown from the roof are really spectacular. While there are definitely higher traffic areas, don't hesitate to wonder around as you never know what hidden gem you might run into. Parking is plentiful, just pay attention to the rates, especially since these vary based on the day of the week. There's a Tesla supercharger area located on the side of the building closer to the highway underpasses and level two EV charging is available for FREE on this same side of the building (you still have to pay for parking though if over the free parking time limit).

Post HX is definitely worth the stop. It can be a bit overwhelming when you first enter but there are SO many options to choose from it's friggin amazing! Not all of the vendors are food spots, some sell merch/clothes, souvenirs, smoke shop items, etc. I love that they have a lil bit of everything for everybody so no one is left out. If you need some air you can head up to the rooftop where they might have a DJ and some drinks to enjoy the downtown skyline and sunset. Def a cute date spot too!

Such a cool place! This might be a new tourist go to! The ultimate mega food court with tons of options from hispanic, asian, hot chicken, burgers, gelato- the list goes on. Incredibly picture worthy with just the staircase alone! Upstairs is the roof top with a beautiful, picture worthy view of the Houston skyline and a lawn with space to sit and enjoy a refreshing dessert. There is always events going on so defintely check out what they are hosting when you go. The last time I went I accidentally stumbled into a break dancing competition- it was the coolest/randomest thing I ever attended but so happy I went! There is a parking lot when you arrive where you can just pay by card when you exit.

    Is it dog friendly?

I've only seen service dogs allowed.

There are QR codes posted at almost every door to pay for parking. You can also pay at the gate with a credit card.

    Can I use Apple Pay?

Yes. Most if not all the vendors have Apple Pay setup

    Is there free parking?

not anymore it seems. free up to 75min. after that, $5/h and cap at $40

    Nope

Yes! I have friends who go for lunch & it's less crowded.

How much do you have pay for parking Except Sunday?

Parking is free unless they are having a special event.

    Do they allow dogs?

Not sure, but I'd think not. When I went, didn't see anyone bring their dogs along

Where will people park? Downtown is already super congested. Did they build an underground parking lot or garage along with the new building?

There's a parking lot right next to the building

We went to see a Frida Kahlo exhibit and an interactive playground-like exhibit by Ernesto Neto. They gave us hospital grippy socks to climb on the structure. Kusama's Aftermath of Obliteration of Eternity was cool as well, although one minute of standing in there was definitely sufficient. The least enjoyable "immersive" exhibit was the James Turrell one where we just sat on a bench for one minute to watch something, except that nothing happened. I am not an art person, so I wasn't super engaged by this museum as it is pretty similar to other art museums, but I think it's a good one for patient people who enjoy art.

The museum has a parking garage that is convenient but fills up quickly. The cost is a $30 flat rate and the spaces are tight, so reverse parking is key. General admission, planetarium, butterfly exhibit, and special exhibits are all individually priced. We spent $226 for a family of four to see two special exhibits (including general admission + parking). The Terracotta exhibit was smaller than we hoped -- more smaller artifacts and limited interactive elements and terracotta warriors on display. The King Tut exhibit was more memorable-- more immersive, better videos, and a clear narrative about his life, death, and discovery. Food is the biggest drawback. The Element Grill closes at 3pm, so late-day visitors are left with pre-made café items from the Periodic Table next door. This included cold cut sandwiches, burgers/hot dogs sitting under warmers, canned soda and bags of chips at a premium price. Recommend to visit the HMNS on a Tuesday 5-8pm for free general admission or consider a membership to save on costs. Plan ahead and eat beforehand or bring food and enjoy a nice picnic across the street!
