Lyric Market is a nice food hall in the Theater District and is a great option for dinner before a show. It's also a couple of blocks from Post HTX so it can be easy to overlook, but don't sleep on this place. I really like Lyric Market because it's never crazy in there. They have a steady amount of customers, but I've never had to wait in line to order at any of the food stalls or the bar. They currently have 10 vendors. I've eaten at Samurai Noodle and Mexology which I really enjoyed! The quesabirria tacos were phenomenal! You can order food at your table with a QR code, online for pick up on the website, or directly at the counter. The Lyric bar serves amazing drinks and the menu is consistently updated. On my last visit, I had a cocktail called the Cucumber Serenade and it was excellent! There's plenty of seating and they have an outdoor patio near one of the entrances. There's also a terrace, though I've never sat up there. I really appreciate that they have self serve water stations throughout the food hall. Additionally, the staff does a great job of busing tables when patrons are done eating. It gives a bit more of an elevated feel. They host weekly events like Trivia Tuesdays and live music on Thursdays. They also rent out space for private events. Parking is street or garage. If you park in the garage, you can get the first two hours free with parking validation if you make a purchase. The garage is used for event parking too so prices can vary depending on the night. I've seen event parking range from $12-$25. There is certainly not a shortage of food halls downtown. Lyric Market may not have as many food stalls as Post, but they have amazing drinks, a decent variety of vendors, and a super chill vibe.

The ambiance of this place was so cute and festival. I went to the first location (Louisiana themed) and had some oxtail yakamein! The flavor was extraordinary! I took one bite and couldn't stop. It was cooked to order so hot and fresh. The meat was tender, bones big. The decor gave me mardi gras vibes so I immediately looked forward to February! Lol

Had a fantastic time at the Lyric market for my uncle and aunts 70th birthday celebration we had an amazing time and just seeing all the love on a Sunday warms my heart and soul. They had 3 cousins cuisine to serve appetizers and we purchased our own entrees.

We made a trip to lyric market to try the oxtail ramen/soup from 1929poboykitchen. The actual market is really cool with good options. They have sitting outdoor as well as in the building. We sat inside and ordered our soup. The wait was very short to order, but it took more than 20 mins to get our food. The soup was good but spicy, although I had asked ans was told it was mild. I thought the ambience and decor were nice and although my soup was very spicy and the wait for long, I would recommend it. More when it's nice weather! There was plenty of street parking, not sure of they have their own lot.

Another very cool food hall in downtown Houston! Interesting choices here. I went with a fabulous hot dog and a side of fried pickles that were too salty for my taste. I was craving French fries and ordered a basket, but they weren't crispy, and I left most of it behind. My Old Fashioned was excellent. Location is perfect for the theater district, and the vibe is casual with a touch of business, even on a Friday night. Service was spotty - great at the bar, and lukewarm elsewhere. Still, I'll be back.

I love the idea of Food Markets. I love how this Downtown Gem is open on the weekends. It's cozy and will be the best go to spot for residents and visitors of the Theatre District. I tried the 1929 establishment. I can't imagine paying $30 for YakkaMein anywhere else let alone the work week. I was pleasantly surprised to find Fried Avacado slices in my Oyster Po'boy. Water and cups are provided to you.

My friends and I went during the Christmas pop up. We went on a Friday night and surprisingly, it was not crowded at all. We loved the cute decorations and went specifically to try the Christmas themed drinks. We had a great time and everyone enjoyed their drink. I ordered the Santa's hat.

We were in town for a last minute weekend getaway from Austin. We came to lyric because we wanted to try a few different places and this looked like a good option that enabled us to do just that! We enjoyed delicious (and spirit forward) cocktails from the Rhapsody Bar and food from a few different vendors. Everything was delicious and the service was phenomenal.

Lyric Market is a nice food hall centrally located in Downtown Houston. It was my first time visiting. On a Saturday afternoon it was not very busy, and the ambiance was a bit dull. I imagine it gets really packed at certain times. They have a variety of dining options. They provide complimentary 2-hour parking available with a Lyric Market purchase. Great perk. Check them out. I'd visit again. ~This review is for La Cocina by Mexican Mom.~ MEXICAN MOM!!!! Do yall remember the community event in North Houston at Mexican Mom? Well, ten days ago they opened right here in Lyric Market. Stopped by to check out the market and ran right into Mexican Mama herself! We introduced ourselves and mentioned the community event and she came from around the counter to greet us with big hugs!! She also gave us some sweet treats. Mexican Mama is genuine, caring, and so kind. She values her customers and the community that she serves. First, we ordered two empanadas - chicken and cheese & creamy poblano. Tore 'em up! Went back and ordered two more creamy poblano empanadas...clearly, these are my favorite! While eating, she brought over sides of refried beans + spicy avocado sauce w/cojita cheese. A pleasant and delicious surprise! She offered us delicious drinks as well. 10/10 experience and I plan on returning as often as I can! Great customer service! See you soon, Mexican Mama!

It really is just a burger. Nothing special.

It seriously is "Just F'n Burgers,", which would be cool if they under-sold themselves and then wowed you with an amazing burger, but noooooo...they have to underwhelm you, too. The lady who took my order was very nice and helpful, she even came out to the sitting area to ask me if I wanted it for here or to go. She even told me that she would smash it so that it's well-done. Turns out I had to eat around the center, because it was pinkish. But that's only half the story. The burger had no redeeming quality. I remember burgers from my elementary school cafeteria having better taste AND they were cooked all the way through. It was the least expensive option in Lyruc Market, but you get what you pat for!

I really like this venue. It's a kind of an upscale food hall. Therefore the food is a little pricey. But there are a lot of options for everyone. The bar is super fancy and nice and the drinks are delicious. The bartenders are also super friendly. We tried the Cajun restaurant and got a Poboy sandwich. This is super delicious. Very crispy. I also tried the Ramen from the samurai noodle place. Unfortunately, my Ramen was a little salty for me. I ended up not finishing because of this. The potato croquettes were delicious though. Lastly, we ended with a waffle from press waffle company and this was definitely the star of the show. I will always be getting a waffle when I come here. I really like the proximity to all the theaters. I do wish that this place was open a little later on Sunday nights in case of a late showtime. Everything that came out of the Mexican restaurant looked amazing and I will definitely have to try it next time. The staff was very nice and they cleaned up right after we were finished. The bathrooms are also big and clean. Overall, a really nice food hall that we have now.

Super cool food court hardly visible from outside. They have Mexology, sea food, green straw, kati roll wala etc among others. The place is maintained spotless to the extent that while I was tryin to take pics I kept my purse on a table and had to keep moving it from one table to another as the lady was targeting exactly my table to clean, she probably thought I was going to sit there... The lighting, seating, cleanliness and options explored I settled for Indian as I was craving for rice having just returned from India. Service was fast and the staff very friendly. Located in the heart of downtown, right next to the Worthom theater, am sure this place is swarming with blazers and tie clad professionals during the weekdays. Even today- a Sunday- there was a pretty decent crowd especially at a particular bar, which, I am yet to try. There is a board outside which states that parking is free if you purchase at the Market, but am not sure if that is the same rule applies to the food court. Can't wait for another great show at the Worthom performance theater to have a valid excuse to visit this place again. :)

We came here for dinner on a Sunday evening, and found a number of pretty good options for food. My friend opted for the vegan quesadilla from Mexology, and after how good she said it was, I regretted not getting something to eat at that restaurant. Instead, I got the classy chicken sandwich from Bad Chx, and even though I asked for not spicy, it was spicy... but very tasty especially with the ranch it came with on the side to cool it off a bit. We wanted to order from Press Waffle Co., but the employee there said it would be a 20-minute wait before we could order because another staff member had left him there on his own. He didn't really look busy, so we found that a bit awkward that he couldn't help us. And we opted not to wait, because we didn't have a lot of time as we had to be somewhere afterward. They have plenty of seating throughout the food hall, and a large bar on one side. The place looks modern and inviting too, so it seems to be a decent food hall, providing various meal options all in one place, with barely any lines anywhere on a Sunday evening. And its location in downtown Houston makes it ideal for grabbing lunch or dinner before heading out to other events/venues in the area.

A place I grew up in as a little girl in Beaumont but never have I've visit this "original" location. Stepping in to this spot felt like a restaurant in the country of Mexico. I ordered the El Henry. I absolutely loved my dish, only thing I would've chance was the cheese enchilada definitely would've swap for a chicken or beef one, or maybe even a flaunta. I really like the Mexican rice, it had little potatoes and carrots in it. Some of the best Mexican yellow rice I've had. They offer a cinco de mayo drink special. The only thing that seem to make it special was the drinks apparently were limited edition menu items. Nothing was special about the prices. The regular menu drinks were a dollar(s) less. The margarita I ordered first was peach coconut. I didn't taste the coconut at all. I swap for the peach strawberry ($14 or 15) which was great, sweet& strong. One did me just right. You get to select up to two flavors for additional $2 (for both verse each, that's a plus. Not worded on menu). If you select a third flavor an additional $2 would be added ($4 in total) I appreciate separate tickets provided after confirmation and no additional gratuity automatically added, which he got tip equally the same or more. When asked about the "empty" patio that was available, he informed us that the entire deck was reserved. Upon departing I noticed from the parking lot individual tables, of separate parties were occupying only 3 tables. It was 8 of us sitting at 2 tables. Which the table was pushed up against the wall, and one side was inaccessible, which took away spacing. Service was lovely space was really tight. Good thing some of the ladies didn't order full meals. Definitely wouldn't have been able to fit every plate.

Ambiance: upon walking in, it was chaos and sooooo many people standing up and sitting down. Walking around with drinks. I felt like I was in a club. A server made her way to me to take my Togo order. While waiting, I grabbed a drink at the bar and just made the happy hour cut off. Service was great as I was able to get my order and it was a large order. Everything was correct. The house margarita was ok, I wish I had gotten the hibiscus flavor. Order; Crab Tostadas Mixed Fajitas Snapper Mole Enchilada Ninfa 2 Tacos Margarita Mix The only thing I would order again is the crab tostadas and the beef fajitas. The chicken had no flavor at all. The charros beans and rice were not anything special. I was not a fan of either. Overall, we are not planning to order from here again. It just wasn't what Mark Weins made it seem like on his review. Also, whoever the driver was practically could not wait for me to turn around. Sorry, I had to take a pic. Very rude.

For drinks, my husband and our friends tried some of the margaritas from their large and unique margaritas menu, as well as their hibiscus agua fresca. All of the drinks were very pretty and it seemed like everyone enjoyed them, too! We started with their chips and salsa trio, which we all really liked. The chips were on the thicker side, but were crispy and not stale or chewy at all. Each of the salsas were quite different, and two were served warm, which we really liked! For the price, I'd consider getting the chips and salsa as a non-negotiable, honestly. For entrees, we tried the enchilada rojas, chilaquiles verde w/ chicken and beef, birria barbacoa ramen, and huaraches. My husband felt like his ramen could have included more meat, but aside from that everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The highlight was probably the desserts, though! We got a quatro leches and two ordered of their giant and amazing churros. Both were incredibly tasty and reason enough to return for another visit in the future!

It definitely is enough for 2. The meat melts in your mouth. EVERYTHING is better quality than here. Teo charged $1.50 for perhaps 4 or 5 slices of lime to make the happy hour margaritas made with a gross mix drinkable. That's outrageous. It reminds me that I had stopped going long ago when they charged extra for onions on enchiladas. Come on. You don't charge extra for chopped onions! We also got the "Tiradito de Hamachi" crudo, which was fresh and delicious! For the entree, my friend and I shared the tacos (which comes with your choice of 3). We added an extra taco to make it 4. I ended up just removing the strawberries and eating the cake, which was moist and flavorful. The only downside for me was the drinks. They looked larger than they actually were because of the glassware, and they tasted a little watered down. I had two, and they just weren't very strong or super flavorful. I prefer traditional homemade Mexican food but here we are. (Oh I googled and suggested this place lol) Went in for a team lunch on a Friday. Coworker's birthday lunch and she wanted Mexican. Party of 9 and we were seated promptly. They have a lunch menu and a happy hour as well as a full menu and full bar. The interior was nicely decorated. And open. There is bar seating and patio seating as well. Our waitress was Aisha and she was amazing. Friendly, helpful and patient. And able handle our large group and a few more tables with a smile. There were a variety of options. Salads, fajitas, nachos, enchiladas, etc. Also complimentary chips and salsa. My Order: chicken tortilla soup, lunch fajitas combo - chicken and beef. Chicken tortilla soup (3.5/5) - it was a bit salty for me but I am not a salt person so most things are salty to me; everyone else said it was tasty, there were tons of shredded chicken, avocado pieces, tortilla strips Fajitas - combo (4/5) - chicken was seasoned well and the beef (medium rare) was perfection and so tender and juicy, mexican rice was fluffy, and normally I would pass on the beans and get extra rice but my coworker suggested the charro beans and wow, that was a win - the seasoning was great, there were chunks of meat and the texture was nice, the only thing that could have been done better is the flour tortillas - they over-charred them making them too crispy and left them with a burnt taste. A couple of people got the elote salad and raved about it. So that will be a next time try. Def will be back. Everyone enjoyed their meals and some even ordered food to go. Would recommend.
