Sake. How cute is that green choko!

One can enjoy a progressive dinner at this hall. Start at one stall and end at another. My only complaint is that there is not too many dessert options. One of the stalls had dessert but was sold out by the time we were ready to eat dessert. Margaux Oyster Bar This is a must visit! Happy Hour M-F, 4pm-7pm. We caught the tail end of Happy Hour and we're able to order: Dozen Gulf Oysters 1/2 Dozen East Coast Oysters - my favorite! 6 grilled oysters, New Orleans style- a close second Escargot - delicious! in a class if it's own. I can't compare to the oysters. For drinks, we ordered a bubbly and a red from the bar around the corner. Soho Garden Bar There's an indoor and outdoor option. We sat a while at the indoor bar whim we waited for seats to open up at the sushi stall. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered a few reds, more bubbly and a carajillo. Good times at this spot! Kokoro There is no wait list but the proprietor saved two spots for us as soon as they opened up. This was our main course. We ordered: Sashimi - melt in your mouth! Chicken fried rice with egg- so good! Karaage- flavorful Wagyu Toast - served beef tartare style. Pork belly - I was too full by the time this arrived and I'm not able to give a good review. It was cooked well but wish it were slightly crispy. Spicy edamame We ordered sake from the bar. So smooth! This was a delightful meal and would happily repeat it. Enjoy!

Lots of options even on a Saturday to choose from. Two bars, and restaurants serving Asian, Italian, Oysters, and Latin food. We chose the Blind Goat. My fried chicken bao was excellent. My friend had the Beef Bulgogi Bibimbap. Beef was cold and the egg on top was too undercooked, but they did cook the egg more for him. Weird when we sat down though . The entire seating at the counter was covered in reserved signs. I asked if they were all actually reserved and they took a couple of the signs down so we could sit. The unfortunate part of where they were located were two giant fans, causing you to eat in hurricane winds. Would definitely if in the area go back for more bao.

Food Hall are all the new rage and the Bravery Chef Hall delivered some tasty hits! We stopped in for oysters, but the bar was closed, so we opted for sushi from Kokoro. The space is very modern and hipster. I loved the arts from different artist, I assumed they were all local. The industrial-style is always one me of my favorite designs for public venue. Easier to maintain and gives the space a clean look. Dope venue!

At the Blind Goat brisket fried rice, egg rolls, and Vietnamese coffee YUM!

January 29, 2021 Drove in from Galveston to go to the Seismique museum later and wanted to try this place out mostly to go to the Secret Garden (but, on Friday's it doesn't open until 4 and we're here at 2...sigh) Nestled at the bottom of the Aris Market Square apartments (if you find that...you're there) because there isn't any signage that's noticeable when in traffic. There are several eateries...all looked worthy of trying...we ate at the Blind Goat (Vietnamese) which was fabulous. Park in the public outside parking lot $10 for 2 hours right across the street from apartments on Travis. Secret Garden can be gotten to from inside the hall (it's around the corner from Cherry Wood eatery --ask someone they'll point you in the right direction OR if your outside...go to Main Street (Travis and Main intersect) and at that entrance to the Aris apartments you can get in and you're right in the garden. It's very cute, more for girls to go to (yes, I said it!) there's flowers, greenery and foo foo drinks! It's literally a small greenhouse made into a bar with outside seating. Eat. Drink. Be merry!

What a concept! Upscale food hall/food court with bars, oudoor garden seating.. just so cool. A collaboration of several highly decorated chefs with tons of options and casual gathering spaces. We had a group of 25-ish and everyone could go grab food at different places and different times and bring it back to a common area where we could eat drink and visit. Truly a wonderful place and great idea!

Downtown Houston's Bravery Chef Hall is like an upscale food court with several pop-up style restaurants inside. We have something similar back home in California SF-Bay Area in the Public Market at Emeryville. Bravery Chef Hall is different in that they are "Chef Driven" and you're likely to find gourmet items prepared from locally-sourced ingredients ran by a Celebrity Chef. For the quality and uniqueness of items, I found the prices very reasonable and the place is great for a casual, quick dinner or lunch. I dined solo at two different restaurants on the same day! The concept is simple, order and pay and they'll text you when the food is ready. Everyone uses the same-style dinnerware so sit at the restaurant counter or in the common seating area. I found the current restaurants intriguing: *Blind Goat: Ran by Masterchef Season 3 winner Christine Ha - Vietnamese comfort food. I still cannot believe she's blind and yet won! I have her book and had the G.O.A.T. curry (separate Yelp review coming). *Cherry Block: Not a dessert place, but a place to get grilled steaks and meats. I came here for dinner and learned a new term - Spinalis! (separate Yelp review coming) * Kokoro: Looks like a high-end sushi/Yakitori place - definitely bookmarked for next time. * Boh: Looks like fast-food pizza and pasta but what intrigued me was they had a limited special menu serving Feast of Seven Fishes, a traditional Italian-American dinner served on Christmas Eve.

Nothing to rave about, the pictures hyped this up.

If I was in the area and hungry, I'd stop by again but otherwise....eh. I went on Sunday because parking is free downtown and easier to find. Didn't like having all the homeless people to walk around and the smell of pee on streets, on the walk to the hall. The hall is small, compared to food halls I've been in, in other cities. Nothing special about it. I'd recommend this hall if your in the area and need to find a bite. The food options are ok. Italian, seafood, burgers, asians, the usual, plus the hyped up but nothing spectacular Secret Garden. We dined at Blind Goat and BOH. Pasta from BOH was good. Blind Goat not so much. Wouldn't get food from there again.

I'm kind of obsessed with BCH at the moment. This chef-driven food court/food hall/chef hall - whatever you want to call it - is an elevated concept in the world of food halls... at least the ones I've experienced in Houston and around the US. The curated food and beverage program features five restaurants at the moment, a wine bar, a cocktail bar, and "secret garden" patio bar - don't miss it! A lot of notable chefs stand behind these restaurant concepts - high quality eats and drinks. The design is another element that had me returning at least three times in the past two weeks. It's modern, there's a lot of natural light, there are options to sit at various eateries or grab a communal table. And again, the back patio where Secret Garden Coffee + Cocktails is housed adds a romantic element to the food hall experience; it's a great spot to grab an aperitif (or digestif in my case). So far, The Blind Goat has been my go-to spot for a particular vegetarian- and vegan-friendly dish: Peanut Tofu. David Daiquiri's Lockwood STN craft cocktails reacquainted me with vermouth; Kokoro presented a fresh spread of sashimi and best roasted shashito peppers; Cherry Block had me at "bread pudding" ...When I return I'll give Atlas Diner and BOH Pasta + Pizza a try. I need to work out first...

This is officially one of my favorite spots in Houston. The collection of restaurants and bar in one place is always an awesome idea but Bravery Chef Hall added a bit of class to it all. It's great for happy hour for the adults but also a great spot to bring the family for a good meal. The selection is impeccable as each restaurant option is different; the diversity is what got me. I would absolutely be back time and time again.

This place was really great! For someone who always wants a little bit of everything this place was perfect! The staff was so friendly at all four places we ate at. All of the food was yummy. We really liked the tacos. You take your temp when you walk in the door. Everyone is wearing masks. Can't wait to come back and try other things!

Location / Setting This place is right next to Frank's Backyard and a skip away from downtown Main Street. I should note this place has just opened and is still working out kinks. The seating is typical to what you find in a food court. That leads us to the setup - It's composed of multiple venues similar to Conservatory, Finn Halll, Understory food courts however these spots are a bit more upscale in terms of food. These are some up-and-coming Chefs who aren't afraid to do innovative and bold dishes. Food In my first visit I stuck to one venue - Cherry Block. I ordered the CB Burger which comes with Wagyu Fries, shrimp and cracklins, smoked fish dip. The burger was fantastic, the fries are fried in Wagyu fat which make them holy sh&@ to die for, the smoke fish dip was a fantastic starter, and the shrimp and cracklins were great too. My complaint is the order literally had only two shrimp which seems a bit absurd. Overall all of the food was absolutely fantastic and I'm looking forward to trying the other venues within the hall. These chefs know how to step it up. Pricing I had a few drinks at the bar and then food at Cherry Block. Overall it's about what one would expect for a place catering to those willing to try new dishes. Some dishes appear to be great value while others are mediocre or undervalued to the food you get. Overall This place is definitely going to stick around and folks who are visiting the other food courts are clearly missing out to one of the up and comers of the Houston region. I will be back, that's a fact.

Great Cafeteria Bar style set-up! I enjoyed the food from Blind Goat. I've been following Christine Ha since her appearance on Masterchef, I even bought her cookbook (which I use religiously). All her dishes are authentic with a unique twist that make them very tasty! Her Beef Carpaccio makes for a very good dish to have with drinks and her GOAT Curry with rice was very flavorful! If you ever decide to buy her cookbook, the chicken Tikka masala is life saving!

Ask the Community - Bravery Chef Hall

Is this place still open? I've been calling all week throughout the day and no answer...

They are open however they failed to pay their sales taxes so their liquor has been seized and they can't serve. They also have not paid many of their employees in over a month. These poor teenage kids are showing up to work, working full shifts… Read more

Are teens able to come in?

    Yes, definitely!

    Are dogs allowed?

Given the setting I doubt it. It's an indoor food court with many restaurants and those kinds of establishments don't usually allow pets.

Do they take reservations? Are there servers?

It's an order at the counter type of place so no reservations. There aren't dedicated servers but there are food runners and bussers.

    Can you bring wine?

No, no outside food or beverages allowed. You can get a good selection of beer, wine, cocktails, and non alcoholic beverages, as well.

    Is there a happy hour?

    For which restaurant?

    What's acceptable attire?

It's an open market so anything from casual to dressy is appropriate.

    Vegan, gluten free options?

Vegan yes, gluten free not quite sure. Not sure that helps any, sorry!

    How's the parking situation?

Parking is available on the opposite side of the entrance to Bravery Chefs Hall in the parking garage on Travis between Prairie and Preston (left side of Travis Street heading North on the one way street). Prices range from $10-20 depending on the… Read more

I was so torn inbetween all the options that were presented to me, but decided to go with Blk Mkt Birria. Their birria tacos were great! There was something slightly spicy about them (maybe the tortilla since it was a literal red color?) so if you are SUPER sensitive to spice I wouldnt order these. They did have limited edition Birria Tamales which I just HAD to try. Honestly they were just a tad bit dry on their own but drenching it in the Birria consommé (which is what the consommé was meant for) it was great!
