Delicious, fresh, generous portions

Great staff, fast service, generous portions, delicious and fresh sushi!! Can do hibachi dinner too!!

Steamed vegetables - $4

Terrible restaurant especially for lunch. Our waitress couldn't understand English nor speak to us. She didn't know what we ordered. Then there was barely anything vegan friendly on the menu so of course I had to order from the appetizers. I got the tofu dish and steamed rice. Both were mediocre and okay at best. The flavor was to be expected. Nothing extravagant. Nothing special. Of course, the steamed rice was solid. They wouldn't even bring out the steamed vegetables. I asked the owner, our waitress (three times), and another waitress - all three didn't bring my order. It took forever for the rest of the table's food to come out. I had to beg for them to bring out the steamed vegetables which I didn't get to eat during my meal. It was until after I got my tab and about headed out the door then I received my steamed vegetables. Oh and the vegetables wasn't worth $4. I'll take a picture of it and have y'all decide. Lackluster crappy food and sad "Japanese" restaurant. Ohh and the decor is so outdated!! There's an odor too. I won't be returning nor recommending!

Food was decent but had hibachi chicken that came out overly greasy. Ate here because it was near my hotel but about killed me the next two days. Very clear they are using highly processed ingredients. Eat other places closer to the airport.

Food was good. Service was great. Housekeeping was questionable . Table was sticky and asked to be cleaned. Carpet was worn and dirty. Outdoor and indoor seating.

Great food with great service. Phil provided us great service with good flavor. It has always been great to come here and have him cooking for us. Shaggy dogs taste great.

Order with UberEats because I'd rather be home than in that Houston traffic. I been wanting to try this place but every time I go it was closed. Sesame chicken looks and tastes disappointing! Ended up giving that to my dog. Unagi hand roll was good as always but you can't really mess that up. Spider hand roll was salty af! I had to get some water after that one. The Sake cado hand roll was the best one moist and refreshing. The seaweed is very chewy on these hand rolls I don't know if that's normal. The smoked salmon was ok but I've had better at other places. Sad to say it but the best part of this meal was the ginger. Tomago is not my favorite but I always like to try since it's like a dessert nigiri. Ok so this has to be the best tomago I've had. It was not too sweet! If I come back for anything it will be that sashimi style and to try something else.

The food is delicious, I really like the Katsu and the side salad because it comes with this really yummy sauce I can't remember what it's called but it's my absolute favorite. The stuff is really friendly and on point.

We came here for dinner one night while in town for business. It's a decent size restaurant with an option to sit where they cook in front of you or sit at a regular table. We got there around 6pm and it was pretty empty so we had no wait. We were sat quickly and brought drinks. Food was decent. The gentleman cooking was nice and fun. It was a big group of 12 and he did a good job. Waiter kept refilling drinks and table clean when ever we finished something. Service was good in my opinion.

My boyfriend & I were looking for a good sushi place around us because were tired of having to go towards downtown/ midtown / heights etc to find good sushi / Asian food. I was looking through doordash wanting to order some and came across Ichibon which was only a few minutes away from where we were at so we decided to go before they closed. It is a Monday evening it was about 8:30 we arrived and there was a few people but the environment is super chill and perfect if you aren't wanting to be around a huge crowd. We sat at the bar and I'm happy we did because we met one of the cooks / sushi makers his name was " Nacho" and said he worked mondays & he made our experience great!! The waiter was good also but not as friendly as him and also when we needed little things like plates to put the soy sauce or anything in general he was there to ask which makes the experience great , and I value someone who knows how to give great customer service ! Nacho was amazing , very helpful , friendly and on top of that the sushi was BOMB!! Even though this little spot is in greenspoint I'll def be coming back soon for some sushi and to dine in with a nacho ! Great peaceful environment , amazing service & great food! Also the prices are bomb for being sushi .

My lackluster dinner salad

I have no problem treating myself and thought I was doing just that tonight with sushi.. 41$ and a 9$ tip. Sorry but my meal is not great.. it's not even tasty.. I asked the Matsumoto a few questions like was this roll cold or was the protein blended or sliced.. his replies were like I offended him and honestly he could use a little training in being a considerate and helpful host.. I hardly ever want to write negative comments and I apologize but honestly Ichibon of greenspoint will not see me again. I'm hopeful my advice can enable future guests tasty meals worth coming back to enjoy a second and third time.

The ginger salad is an absolute flavor explosion!

Updated review: Their food is really good compared to others in the same arena (Happy Buddha- HB, Kobe, or Benihana's) and the price is more reasonable. They just remodeled the outside court yard and put better 24hour security. Never felt safer.

Lunch boxes are great and priced decent. Rolls aren't expensive so have at it. Tons of flavor and can't go wrong with the classics.

The teppanyaki show was fun, engaging, and very well done, and everything we tried tasted fresh and flavorful. The sushi was also surprisingly good. I ordered the Firecracker Roll and the King Maki, and both were excellent. For appetizers, we tried the Crab Puffs and the Hayashi Style Fried Calamari, which were great starters and full of flavor. The complimentary soup that comes with the meal was pretty good as well and a nice way to start the dining experience. The hibachi itself was also very good, and the menu offers a wide variety of meats to choose from depending on what you're in the mood for. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because of the service. Our server made us feel a bit rushed during the visit, which took away slightly from the overall experience. Aside from that, the food and the teppanyaki performance were excellent, and I would definitely come back.

But remember for them to use the hibachi table you have to have purchased at least 2 hibachi entrees. And tip is usually included. The salmon sashimi photo shows 6 pieces, but when you order it you only receive 3. That's extremely disappointing when you expect what's advertised. While the quality and cuts of the fish were great, expectations were not met based on the pictured item. :/ I'm currently in the hospital and had been looking forward to sushi my entire pregnancy, so this was especially frustrating. My husband picked up the order, and the man at the counter was rude both times. The first time, my husband simply asked to confirm whether sriracha was included and was met with an attitude. The second time, the order was placed on the counter without any acknowledgment or confirmation before the employee turned away. I myself cannot speak for the ambiance as i haven't been in person but this alone is enough to keep me away. We're glad I'll be discharged soon so we can return to our usual sushi spot--Sushi Hana in Katy, which has never treated us this way. Come here if you're only looking for sushi and have low expectations for service.

The section where we were seated had little to no air conditioning. At first, we assumed it was temporary because there was absolutely no airflow at all. We were sweating heavily before our server even arrived. When we asked to move, we were told it would be "the same all over." We repeatedly asked staff what was going on and eventually learned the air conditioning was out. The only source of relief was a large industrial portable unit that we had to maneuver ourselves just to feel a small amount of air. The situation became even worse once cooking began nearby. By the time I stood up to leave, my clothes were literally soaked and sticking to the seat from perspiration. What made this experience truly upsetting was the response from management. I spoke to a male manager who laughed while acknowledging that "yeah, it's hot, I'm sweating too," and stated they hoped the air would be fixed. When I requested the corporate number, he laughed again and told me to "just go on the website" because it would "come right back to him anyway." He then joked that next time we should "ask to sit in the cool spot," despite customers having no way of knowing there were seating areas without working air conditioning. When we asked why guests were not being informed beforehand, he laughed again and stated that corporate would not allow them to do that. I have never experienced a manager openly laugh at customers during such an uncomfortable dining situation. We were made to feel dismissed and unimportant rather than valued guests. What was supposed to be a special Mother's Day celebration was completely ruined. I would appreciate a response regarding how this situation will be addressed, both concerning the facility conditions and the unprofessional conduct of management.
