I brought my sister and mom here for my birthday and my mom is Caribbean and can be hard to please. So the fact that she and my sister enjoyed the food says a lot of this establishment. Food 4/5 Service & experience 1/5 The food was very good but it's overshadowed by the poor time management. Branzino, jerk chicken and lobster rolls were very good and flavorful. Sadly, the food is the only positive comment I have. We made a reservation on Yelp for a party of 5 at 6pm and were informed on arrival that all Yelp reservations were canceled due to an error with Yelp, which we were understanding of and the staff managed to seat us within an hour. However, that the 1st of many long waits. Timeline of our experience: 7pm seated at table 7:15 menus were provided 7:30 food was ordered 9pm appetizers arrived 10pm entrees arrived 3 hours between being seated and the actual meal is ridiculous. Due to it being a high traffic day there was a pre fixed menu of 4 appetizer options and 7 entree options which should've allowed the kitchen for a speedier turn around but as shown in the previous timeline, that was not the case. In addition, 1 appetizer and 1 entree were unavailable after 2 hours of the restaurant opening which further indicates how ill prepared they were for the day. Unfortunately upon arriving, we had to wait 15 minutes with no attention before complaining about not receiving water or even a menu. 45 minutes in we got drinks One hour in we got some of our appetizers 1hr 45 min in we got the final appetizer and most of the entrees. At 2.5 hours we cancelled the rest of the order so we can finally leave. Very unfortunate for what is an otherwise great establishment. This was on my list for a while since it's not too far from my church, but of course, there's always gotta be a caveat with these fancy restaurants charging upscale prices, with subpar experiences. My friend and I came, and the ambiance is gorgeous, but the food took a while to come out. We ordered the buttered lobster rolls for $28, and it was atrocious. Look how small and how much lobster (this is my half). $28 WHOLE AMERICAN DOLLARS. That was a complete waste. The server took it back to the kitchen and they added a little more, absolutely not worth the price, please avoid. Our food came, and it was pretty good. Not a fan of the Mac and cheese but my Rasta pasta with salmon was delicious and so was my friends lamb chops. Half way through eating, the music and air came off-- mind you it's a hot 83 degree day. I was sweating while eating my food are we not in an "upscale steakhouse"? Our server was kind and nice, but thank God because they added 20% gratuity and we were only a party of 2. On the table was the Rack of lamb, A little overcooked but not tough or to the point that it required long chewing, beautifully seasoned; Salmon with a side of mac & cheese and gnocchi, it was wonderful, and smoked chicken with a side of truffle mashed potatoes and Rasta pasta, well seasoned & amazing. When the children are impressed with the meal, something great was definitely done right! The ambiance was relaxing and the meal didn't feel rushed. Had an amazing time with my homegirl at TGK. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional, the drinks were fire, and the ambiance was amazing. I enjoyed the Mac & Cheese and the wings, and I also loved the jerk chicken dinner. The place is beautiful for pictures, dinner dates, or if you're looking to find a nice bar to chill at. The 5 of us went there May 16. Had a 5:30 reservation, place opened at 5 so it was not crowded yet. Was told it was happy hour. It took forever for drinks to come. Then we ordered food. It took almost 2 hours before we got it. 2 of us ordered the lobster rolls. It took forever for someone to come tell us they had no bread for the lobster rolls. Then my friend ordered stuffed shrimp. It came out COLD. The so called manager has no people skills. They offered us nothing to compensate for the horrible experience. The bill came they had the nerve to add the tip to the bill! Then they had the nerve to give me some lobster meat on what looked like crackers. And my friend got her stuffed shrimp as we was walking out. We never got an apology or nothing. I really wanted to be empathetic with this establishment but the time went on the experience became worst. First there seems to have been a mishap with yelp accepting more reservations the warranted which led to the restaurant being overbooked. The hostess in the front seemed ill equipped to be able to share accurate information and help me when I was looking to get a table. Thank god the manager came and heard me out to potentially get me a table for me and mother. This was the shining light of the evening but afterward it went down hill. We waited a hour and a half for our appetizers and another hour for our entrees. With a pre-fix menu of $75 dollars per person it felt super inflated for one appetizer and one entree that should have easily been at $40 plus included gratuity of 20%. Most of the menu wasn't available and towards the end of it I saw people being able to order meals that were off menu. Mother's Day sure I get it but there was an extreme lack or urgency to accommodate guests who were seated, and my table was hardly checked up on. If you're going to be in the restaurant business it's times like this that make or break a business. Get a better hostess, revamp your reservation system and get your team on the same page. Sadly you've lost me and I'll probably never return to this restaurant. For others coming here err with caution but if your first experience is great do return. read more

Went to TGK with my wife and family (no kids). What a dope and incredible experience. Food and drinks were amazing. Everyone got something different (oxtail pasta, both steaks, chicken). Not a single bad option. You absolutely have to try the BBQ Fries. It's not sauced. Think like a BBQ seasoned chip (dry rub). The menu is small but don't let that fool you because there's a great option for every pallet. The staff was all incredible-- friendly and attentive. Some of the best service I've gotten. And the ambience is fantastic. We were in the middle of the main dining area past the bar. My sister-in-law made a reservation for a party of 8 to celebrate her birthday, scheduled for 7:00 PM on a Sunday. Due to a delay, she called ahead and let the hostess know we would arrive by 7:45 PM, and we were told that would not be an issue, others were already there waiting. We arrived around 7:40 PM, checked in, and were told our table would be ready shortly since the previous party was finishing up. What followed was completely unacceptable. We waited over an hour and a half just to be seated, with little to no communication from staff. At one point, a manager told us the party before us was "refusing to leave," which felt unprofessional and poorly handled. Unfortunately, things only got worse once we were finally seated. No one informed us in advance that Sundays are an all-day brunch menu, which was disappointing given we made a dinner reservation. The table setup was incorrect, service was disorganized, and the manager was rude and unaccommodating when concerns were raised. At that point, we decided to leave without ordering. The venue itself is beautiful (although some chairs already had wear and tear) and has a great aesthetic, but the service and overall management completely overshadowed that. There is a clear need for better organization, communication, and professionalism. Based on this experience, I would not choose to return. Additionally, the individual with the locks should recognize that this environment requires a higher standard of professionalism, and the same applies to the individual with the flattop. I originally had a dinner planned for 8 people for 7 PM. Booked the private room, wanted to set up my souvenirs/ thank you cards for my guests. Went ahead to drop my cake, and souvenir (even told the manager/owner) I was willing to push my dinner for 8 pm. Everything was supposedly set up upon arival! 1st got there, approximately around 7:50PM ANOTHER party, was sitting where I planned to have my dinner. I was not seated until 8:40PM, my table not cleaned properly, my souvenirs were not aligned. 2nd for waiting for soooo long, they gave me a weak drink, while all my guests were standing looking @ each other. No one checked up on me to give me any updates; I was the one who kept asking on updates. 3rd, prior of planning everything, I was giving a prefix dinner menu. When I arrived, I was told they don't serve dinner on Sundays, I have never heard of this in my life. I mean who really leave their house to eat eggs @ 9 pm? Make it make sense. Lastly, the owner/manager, Adonis, is EXTREMELY unprofessional, rude, nasty, combative, and not to mentioned ignorant! One thing I know for sure, in the restaurant business, everything is a red flag. You have to be extremely careful, on how you treat, and speak to your customers. You don't know who's a food critic, or work for DOH, who's going disguise themselves, as someone else to cone and test your place of business. That man cannot serve the public with that behavior. His vulgarity, and incompetency are out of this world. That man was going back & forth with my guests because of his lack of professionalism. That place deserves a negative -40 of a start. It destroyed the urban culture that comes behind these experiences. The manager on the other hand, destroyed my night, not too mentioned my celebration.
