Maybe most people know this but I've never been to a Texas Roadhouse before. We got the blooming cactus for an appetizer. I've also never had this. It was awesome, basically onion rings on another level. I ordered the grilled shrimp on rice with creamed corn and applesauce. The rub they had on the shrimp was very good but I think they put too much on, making it very salty. I don't know what I was expecting out of the applesauce but it tasted like the ones you get out of the plastic cups. The creamed corn didn't have much "creaminess" to it. Mix-and-match experience here, but the staff and management are exceptional and go beyond the standard in taking care of you. Went here because it was the closest place open until 10pm (arrived around 9:15ish after a too-long day and was starving). Picked out a nice ribeye from the front counter (which, honestly, was a fun experience). It ended up being over-cooked (ordered medium-rare and by their own standard it was done medium to medium well... definitely leaning towards the latter ("slightly pink")). The server and manager both offered to get another steak done correctly (either on the spot or to-go), but it tasted fine and I was beyond starving by this point. We'll be back eventually and are likely to give this place another chance because the staff will give you the time, attention, and care in resolving any issues. Me and my family had worst experience. The appetizer we got was the blossom onion. We have ordered this plenty of times. It was so disgusting ,the bater they used was ment for fish. Then I order a steak well done it came out rare. My daughter ordered medium well ,the steak came out burnt well done. My father ordered his steak medium, it was so over cooked it was like rubber. We visited the PK Roadhouse on a Tuesday night at 5:00 pm. It was very slow, and we had a party of 10. We wanted to make a reservation because of the number of guests, but apparently, they don't allow reservations. Most of our party was there at 5:00 but we were waiting on a couple of people. We asked if we could be seated while we waited for the remaining guests, but we were rudely told that we couldn't be seated until all of our guests had arrived. (missed opportunity to sell more drinks). Then when we were finally being seated, they wanted to seat us in 3 booths, rather than 1 large table. That was unacceptable and the employees seating us seamed very confused. Just a few feet from us were 2 tables that sat 4 each and I suggested that they put the 2 tables together and put a couple of seats at the ends, since one of our guests were wheelchair bound. Again, they seemed confused and finally said, "well I guess we could do that." After that initial fiasco I'm happy to say things finally got better. Our waitresses were great, and the food was quite good as well. At the end of the meal, we had a little coupon issue, but the manager graciously saw it our way and made everything right. First, although they supposedly have curbside delivery and ask for your car type (making you think that they'll see you arrive and come right out with your food), you have to call them when you arrive (and all the signs with the phone number were turned around, so it took 10 minutes before I noticed). Then after bringing my food out and driving home, I discovered that they forgot an entrée salad (got the chicken, not the greens) and the sauce for the Cactus Blossom onion. If you get takeout from here, check the bag before leaving to make sure everything is there. Chicken sandwich was good. The onion was OK but without the spicy sauce, definitely missing something. I have had the opportunity to dine here on more than one occasion. Either with my wife as a dinner date or with one or more of our family members with us, I have never had a bad experience here at this establishment. Always fast friendly and efficient. One thing that is great as with all other TRH that I've dinned at, they always hold the same standards which is great for a business. Always greeted at the front door when walking in, and offered free peanuts to snack on while waiting for your table to be organized and ready for you to sit down at. In addition they always offer you the choice to choose from a wide selection of fresh cut steaks from the butcher case, and always offer up those famous honey glazed dinner rolls with the cinnamon butter (delicious I might add!) One draw back that I might say for here would be is about the parking lot situation. The front of the building shares a small selection of parking with the auto parts store next door, but then they do have a very large parking area behind the building. Not the best for when if it suddenly decides it wants to downpour while your inside eating your meal and you have to run to try and get to your car. Other than that; its pretty minor. As per the food, as you can see in the pictures posted, I've never had a problem with quality or consistency of the food. Always the same portion amounts, and flavorful taste that you would expect. Never have I had to send anything back because of it being made wrong or being cold. which is a great plus seeing that on many of an occasion they can become very busy because of the location within dutchess county. The atmosphere of the whole restaurant is like that of any "saloon" themed restaurant, with the radio turned up and of course tv's surrounding the bar area to keep patrons entertained while drinking. The bathrooms are very well maintained and kept clean, never have I noticed that they were littered with garbage all over the place, or just in general grossly underkept. One thing I will highlight on this though is that they do offer a rewards program for the establishment in which you can redeem free items (generally appetizers) that are normally sent via email. Overall for a chain restaurant, its actually pretty good. I'd come back again for another visit and have dinner. read more

Started out with the triple appitizer, fried pickles were the best we've had, not greasy. Mild boneless wings and potato skins, all very good.... the dinner is where is turned for the worse..... 4 of us.. 1 burger that supposed to come with fries and pickle, no pickle, not a big deal but my daughter loves pickles and was expecting it, server got her a pickles . Dallas filet medium rare.... totally unedible completely filled with grissle and membrane, taken away. Then a chicken and rib combo with fries, fries were very hot but that was the only thing hot/warm on the plate cold fatty ribs, we did not send back figured they would be good if we warmed them up at home, then lastly a single porkchop with peppercorn sauce and mashed potatos.... they forgot the sauce all together. Requested the sauce, took 15 mins to get it, by that time the meat was cool and I think they were pissed because it was so full of peppercorns and almost zero sauce. We were comped for the inedible steak the second time we questioned the bill and given a 20% off veteran's discount, but still came out to $75 for a good appitizer and a crummy dinner. Really embarrassing. I went and skipped the long wait at the door by using the app. My family and I sat down and had a great meal, but get this. The waiter came by and dropped off the check and told us "You can pay me directly or just use the app" (this is because I had commented how nice it was to be seated immediately by using the app) So I showed the guy his tip amount, and he thanked me and left. Now when we were in the parking lot getting into the car this manager runs up to my car and says we didn't pay! It was so embarrassing. I knew I paid because I had gotten a confirmation code via text from my bank. So I go back in and have to explain myself... as if I had done something wrong to 2 other managers. They finally brought me up to the 'final boss' the owner and he was like "it's no problem, we will just have you pay a second time and if there is a double charge we can cancel one of them." I stopped in for lunch today with my 1 year old son. We had about a 15 minute wait for a table which was fine. We get seated and a server never came..... The tables around me started filling up with at least 3 families who were waiting after me and they were greeted almost immediately. They were receiving drinks and appetizers before I decided to flag down someone and ask what was going on! The girl said to she didn't know and would get someone. I waited another 8 minutes and as I was picking my son up to leave a guy comes to the table with napkins. I told him not to bother because I was leaving and he legit just walked away from me. Sad to see this chain go downhill. They have changed meat suppliers, which resulted in my favorite steak (Porterhouse) coming in frozen and for whatever reason not being able to be cooked correctly anymore. Last time I was there they said they could only cook them well done, I like them medium rare. This time I went and they were out of all bone in steaks, apparently the butcher called out. Thats understandable in this economy, not to be able to have a backup, I guess. So I ordered the Prime Rib. It was god awful, had the fake smoke flavor (liquid smoke). Apparently its marinated in liquid smoke and teriyaki. It was not advertised has having any of this on the menu, if it did I never would have gotten it. It was so off putting that even my 6 year old was saying that my steak smelled terrible. When I asked the staff what was up with the steaks, she said, that it was marinated in such and that they were actually taking the Porterhouse off the menu soon, because they can only get it frozen. Joey our waiter could not have been more of a gentleman always making sure we were taken care of. Now for the food: Steaks were cooked with flawless Execution. Seared on the outside with that classic grill pattern while tender, juicy & pink on the inside. Honestly, I havent had a steak cooked like that in a while. The sides were good but nothing to run back for. I think I had mash potatoes. Much better than average though. Beer is fresh & cold which tells u they keep the taps clean & the cooler maintained. Came here with the family on a Sunday afternoon. Sat right down, waiter came right out. That's about all that was working for them. Ordered drinks came out fast, ordered our food. And then nothing, food took forever to come out. I had the cup of chili and Cesar salad for my sides. The chili was cold, the salad lacked any type of dressing. 2 out of 5 of our orders were missing a side. And we were not the only table to experience this. The people in from my and behind us were all asking for their sides as well. I asked for barbecue sauce which my waiter said absolutely and walked away. 10 mins later she's talking with other waiters. I don't know about you but that should be something quick to get. Pretty much finished my meal and lo and behold here comes the sauce. The waiter was never around to top off any of our drinks. My ribs were over cooked and dry. This is a first for such lousy service. And a first for poor food quality. I won't be coming back to this location again. Wow, I'm not an easy person to impress and Texas Roadhouse did it for me. We went for dinner here on a Friday night around 7:00pm, so it was busy as hell. We were told there would be a 20-30 minute wait, and we actually waited around 25 minutes so kudos on the accurate promise. We were asked if it was our first time and since it was the host walking us to our table told us about the bread, the steaks, and spoke to us the entire time he walked us over to the table. Unfortunately, our table was still dirty but within 2 minutes it was cleaned off, so I won't even down a star for that. Our waitress again finding out it was our first time started running down the menu, the drinks, basically everything. A manager came over and gave us a sample of all the sides since it was our first time. Although all this was happening in a span of 5 minutes, and putting me in sensory overload it was a refreshing take seeing people actually putting effort in their work. Bravo. The food was really good. I had a New York Strip that was cooked just as I asked and it was tender as can be. The sides were delicious and I honestly was never able to finish my Sprite, our waitress brought me a new drink before I ever got to the last sip. The bread with cinnamon butter is so addicting I could have it for my entree! lol. Drinks are good and large. If you're celebrating something, let them know (or not) and you will be put on a mechanical bull torso and everyone will be notified of it. Cons: First time, I ordered a chicken fried steak and it was SO salty I couldn't taste the flavors well. The mashed potatoes were delicious though.Second time I ordered the salmon. Now I understand some people like the salmon pink, but the inside was RAW and COLD, I had to send it back. Really great restaurant. Friendly & accommodating staff. Our party of 8 was seated promptly. Our drinks & orders were taken right away. Margarita was delicious! 2 small issues which is why I took away a star. Our appetizers weren't brought out, but we didn't mind because when we saw the size of our entrees we're wouldn't have been able to finish anything. (The manager gave us vouchers for free apps which was extremely nice) Also, My country fried chicken breast was a tad on the salty side. Not inedible but a little saltier than my liking. We went here for the first time last night because our sons school was having a fundraiser where a portion of your check went to the school - excellent idea ! It was crowded but we were greeted promptly & given a pager for when a table was ready - no more then a 10 minute wait which was excellent We were seated and greeted by our server Jasmine wth a bright friendly smile - now let me tell you about jasmine she was excellent ! Friendly informative about menu options and speciality drinks she engaged with my children in a friendly fun manner I would definitely ask for her to serve you when you go in ! The food was excellent plentiful tasty and very filling sooo good everything was excellent from the warmed bread with the speciality honey cinnamon butter to the small house salad that I got with my meal to the kids meals , the steaks , ribs you name it The prices were more then reasonable for a family of five to eat ( steaks , ribs & alcoholic drinks , deserts for the kids ) less then $100! I highly recommend this restaurant and most definitely will be going back again read more
